- Elizabeth (9/5): Great location - quiet but less than a minute from the town centre. - Great location - could hardly be more central without being 'in the bustle'. Lots of parking and a welcoming atmosphere.
- Steve (9/5): Lamorna proved to be an ideal and comfortable base for the weekend - Never having stayed at Lamorna before I didn't know what to expect however, I'm pleased to say that the Chalet provided was ideal. The bed was probably the most comfortable I've slept in and having the separate spaces (bedroom, kitchenette, bathroom and sitting room) worked very well. The facilities provided (wifi, Netflix) were more than sufficient for an enjoyable stay and the central location meant that accessibility to the town's entertainments was perfect. There was some mix up with the booking (not attributed to the host, incidentally) but Tracey was contactable and arrived on site to provide access in short order.

- Jane (5/5): - The place was spotless and recently decorated. The owner was pleasant and very helpful. It was a typical single room. No en suite or breakfast as the details promised. There was no table or chair but plenty of space for one, so everything had to be stored on the floor. The tv was permanently programmed to show subtitles. Exclusive use of a bathroom and a child size mini dressing gown was not what the website promised. There was no plug for the washbasin and the soap dispenser was empty despite the owner knowing. Breakfasts were stopped at Covid so there has been enough time to edit the facilities on offer.

Patio doors would not close let alone lock. Shower room small, out dated. No WiFi or tv working. This appears to be a long standing issue. Power cut due to issue in the next chalet. Got locked in the garden due to someone locking the door through to the main property. All needs refurbishment. Not much of a welcome from host after a 7 hour journey.

Walls looked like they had been painted or cleaned with a dirty mop. Patio doors wouldn't close let alone lock. Skirting boards door frames etcetera chipped and/or dirty. We also got locked in the garden because exit via house had been locked. Power cut because of a problem in another chalet. No WiFi or working tv. All of it.

- Andrew (8/5): Nice place to stay for a weekend in Olney. - Great location in the heart of Olney. Air conditioning was very welcome given the 30c heatwave. Due to the structure of the building, the UPVC doors had warped and are difficult to close.

- Martin (10/5): Exceptional - We used Lamorna for three nights as a base during our time at the British Grand Prix 2025. We wanted some where within twenty minutes travelling to the the Park & Ride, Sixfields, Northampton and a location that offered plenty of choice for dinner in the evening. Lamorna provided all those with ease. The twin bedded room (Room 4) was just the right size and offered us enough facilities for our needs. Shower was a good size, and powerful providing all the stimulus required for 0300hrs - 0400hrs starts over the three days. We didn't make any use of the facilities available downstairs or the garden due to the early starts and late finishes but the kitchen/diner is impressive. Parking available for five cars to the front of the property and free car parking across the road. There are excellent facilities in Olney including a Sainsbury, Tesco, Aldi, and a choice of Chinese, English, Indian, Turkish, restaurants, pubs and pizzerias. I would have liked at least one hand towel in the bathroom, and a shaver socket for electric toothbrush/electric razor charging. None of these detracted from our stay.

- Ann (8/5): good sized accommodation - A warm welcome from our hostess. We stayed in the superior chalet.It was a good size. Lounge area has a comfy sofa, a coffee table and TV. The kitchen was well equipped,large enough to cook, had coffee tea sugar and washing up liquid It had a small table and 2 chairs The shower room was compact with small sink . The bedroom had a large comfy bed and good storage The TVs were not working due to recent change of internet supplier. The shower room could do with a new shower...door is awkward to open and spray is limited. The macerator was very noisy. An intermittent fault in the alarm system drove us out and woke us at 7am The kitchen although well supplied with pans had no rings to cook on the bedroom could do with 2 smaller bedside lamps as the present lamp is very big and too bright

Tracey was very welcoming and very kindly moved me into a double room despite me being a solo guest. I had no interaction with the host after my arrival. I was there for 2 nights on a room only basis and for business, so I didn't have many needs. I would like to think if I'd had breakfast included I would have had a more engaged experience.

The bed was very comfortable ...a king size one for little old me. !! My room was upgraded without requesting and @ the original cost. My room was very nice and warm. If a person is a TV addict ,the TV was really up to date and had many, many stations. . No Breakfasts.!..As it was a " Bed & Breakfast " establishment, I assumed a Breakfast was included, However, later on re- checking the booking confirmation it only mentioned a room. No armchair in the room..

The rooms were a good size and the bathroom facilities in my room were fantastic. The hostess Tracy was really lovely and welcoming. I would recommend this B&B to people passing through. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that there is no longer breakfast served. Unfortunately COVID has stopped that.

Freezer box completely iced up in the kitchen. Quite dated . Televisions didn't work no signal. We informed the owner and she tried to call someone to no avail. Batteries in remote were leaking . Dried food on cushion in the bedroom. Owner removed the cushion cover but did not bring a replacement. It was OK for a place to sleep. Potential to be so much better. Appreciate its for sale but lacking attention to detail. It was over £200 for 2 nights was not really up to scratch.

- Peck (9/5): The owner of the Lamorna and our stay was excellent. - After being disgusted with the way i was treated by both booking ,com and the owner of the Queen Hotel when i had to cancel the booking because i coudn't get in at a 1.00pm check in and it cost me £145:00 full cancellation . NOT A PENNY RECOMPENCE!!!!........ My wife and i were extremely pleased with the owner of the Lamorna who accomodated a 12.00 - 1.00pm checking at a superb hotel. it was first class from booking in to departure.
