• Jay (9/5): Great value! Amazing service and a fine dinner made for a great start for our wine tasting trip to the Okanagan - We upgraded to the suite as it wasn’t much more. It was very spacious and comfortable and had a living room and kitchen. We even got bathrobes! Which were nice to walk out the outdoor hot tub. The views overlooking swan lake were also nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful! The on site restaurant is a great spot for dinner! High end dining for a reasonable price! Proximity to a loud highway. As morning progressed the sound of vehicles on the highway could be heard and as I’m a light sleeper it prevented me from sleeping in.

As we stayed 4 nights, they immediately told us at check in that if we needed any extra towels or toiletries, we would just have to ring them.

We had an excellent dinner at the Bistro. The front staff were very accommodating. There really wasn't anything.

• Tracey (9/5): Like home away from home ~ would highly recommend - Loved the upper loft and having full bathrooms up and downstairs! Bonus was that the outdoor hot tub was open ~ so relaxing especially with the gentle rain. Found the beds a bit firm but that is just personal preference.

• Glenn (9/5): We liked the Castle! - The one bedroom unit was more spacious than expected and very clean. Staff were helpful. We found the bed to be comfortable and the large kitchen was well equipped. We made use of the shared hot tub. We used the Castle as a ski base and enjoyed driving up to the mountain on back roads. Although Swan Lake is a short distance from Vernon, there is a supermarket across the highway. The heat pump was an older model and wasn’t very quiet, so we turned it off when we slept as the February temperatures were mild. We could hear the family in the unit above us (not very soundproof), but that was only one night; it was quiet during the week.It would be nice if the TV was set up for streaming.

• Nathan (10/5): Welcoming, Cozy, Beautiful views, truly wholesome stay! - Can not get over the size of the ''room'' it was more like a whole apartment - truly stunning, the bay window with the view over the lake massively exceed expectation. Very spacious but cosy space, i have stayed here twice and have no complaints at all! Easy/friendly check in, quick and simple. Could not ask for me from the members of staff at The Castle at Swan Lake. There is nothing i did not like about the stay, welcoming staff, clean room. beautiful views. No complaints at all. Will definitely stay again!

I think the bedroom area could benefit from some blackout curtains and the lights by the door are quite bright a the blinds only do so much. Maybe some more accessible plugs near the side tables would be nice (not having to reach behind the side tables.

• Pete (1/5): Not impressed - It was close to Silverstar ski resort Parking was a nightmare and it was not convenient at all offloading your vehicle to the-room. There was no cooking supplies in the unit. We had to purchase our own stuff from Walmart.

We used only bottled water. Kitchen was not stocked - missing tongs and oven proof dishes; no dish rack. Housekeeping did not provide dish cloth or tea towel. Long term residents on site and the resident above our room was very noisy every morning at 6:00 am. Location is noisy (highway noise) so thankfully we got a room at the back. Weird set up with the pool/hot tub. No walkway from your back door .. overall a very weird property

• Coleen (10/5): Lovely Get-Away When Visiting Vernon! - Everything was lovely! The lake view. Suite with full kitchen to make our own meals. Quiet. Friendly and helpful staff. Value for our dollar. Nothing.

Really loved the amenities. Bonus: They had a great pumpkin and corn decor during the autumn thanksgiving season. The mattress gave me some back pain. However, I se very specific mattress. Might be just some compatibility issues here.

Very out of the way for any dining options. Also we called to seee if we could get in early and then it was barely done on time for check in and it looked like the cleaning staff were not prioritizing our room despite this request made on booking and in the morning. We splurged a bit on this hotel but just wasn’t what we expected or hoped for service and value

• John (9/5): We really enjoyed our stay and are hoping to return around the same time next year - WE liked the fact that it had the bedroom separated from the living area as this allowed for one person to get up earlier and not effect the other who wanted to sleep longer. We also ejoyed having a kitchen in the room as it allowed us to eat 1-2 meals each day in our room and it saved us from going out for every meal. Their was a couple of minor things -one was the light above the microwave kept blinking and one of the blinds could not be closed all of the way (they had ordered one and it was on its way)

• Eugene (8/5): - Parking sucks. You cannot (guests) access the second floor by elevator. Even though the maid's use the elevators??? My wife has bad knees and having to use the stairs and having to walk around the building to get to your room is not acceptable. Parking you either have to walk up the road or walk down another road depending on where you park. Also, there are no lights on the upper parking area if you can even get parking up there.

• Christy (10/5): - We stayed in a deluxe king suite. It was so roomy, clean and comfortable! The bed and pillows were great, very comfortable. The kitchenette had everything we needed and was a bonus for sure. For a place with so many suites, it seemed very private. We barely saw anyone. The sunsets over Swan Lake were spectacular to watch from the balcony. The front desk people were very welcoming and helpful. We will be staying here again and recommending it to others. The TV was a bit small for the size of the room, but really no complaints.

• jenifer (9/5): Really comfortable and a great - The staff was so friendly and accommodating at check in and check out. The room was wow! A whole apartment! Lots of room, immaculately clean, full kitchen and comfortable bed. We especially loved the fireplace and made good use of it, along with the balcony and kitchen. We were sorry we were only there for one night. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone. The only negatives were there was no breakfast (which we knew in advance so we brought our own) and the bathtub and vessel sink in the bathroom were extremely difficult for me to use as I’m on the short side. I don’t know if they offer rooms with showers but be sure to ask for one if you have any mobility issues or difficulties stepping out of a tub that’s high off the ground. Do get robes to use, they were lovely in the cool evening after the hot tub. There are no instructions for how to use the TV and two remotes. Says they have cable but couldn't figure it out. Pans in the kitchen were quite scratched up and wouldn't use them. Parking was not the best.

It was nice to have a full kitchen so we could make our own dinner and breakfast, and the whole suite was very nice (small patio, very clean well appointed bathroom, comfy bed and nice sitting area). We don't generally use pools, but took advantage of this one as it was very clean, quiet and towels were provided.
