• Patricia (10/5): A real home from home, with great service and great location. - Maple Cottage was quiet, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent . Heather who runs the B and B was extremely helpful. While I was not golfing she can clearly help you to organise so much for golfers such as transport - so contact her once you book. Heather was very responsive to any query and a lovely lady to chat to 😀 . Will return. Nothing

• Alison (10/5): Maple Cottage is a little gem. So pleased we found it - we’ll be back. - The property was very well presented to a high standard, clean and fresh. Heather, the host, was friendly and welcoming; we felt very at home. The location was central so we were able to walk to the golf courses, bars and restaurants in minutes. We were impressed with the choices for breakfast which included a freshly cooked full English. Ww would definitely stay there again.

• Linda (10/5): Fabulous B&B in Gullane - Lovely room with en-suite. Made to feel very welcome. Good freshly cooked breakfast with a variety of other choices. Fresh fruit and yogurts etc. No tea/coffee facilities in the room but you could ask for a tray if required. Just felt a little bit self conscious going in to the kitchen to make a coffee. Cracking little store next door (Waitrose, although not that name in shop) Had everything. Only problem was the two steps to the bathroom. Despite a light coming on my Hubby missed a step (he thought there was only one). Thankfully he didn’t hurt himself but gave me a fright too

To observe her relationship with guests who have evidently been returning to Maple Cottage for many years was a pleasure and unsurprising given the level of hospitality and care that she provides. • Susan (10/5): Heather, the host was very welcoming. A lot of time and effort had gone into making Maple Cottsge an ideal place to stay - Maple Cottage is a perfect place to say. Heather welcomed her into her home and nothing was to much for her. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, offering an excellent selection. The room we stayed in was very nice and the bed was extremely comfortable. Additionally Maple Cottage is situated in the centre of Gullane, within walking distances to shops, pubs, restaurants, golf course and a short drive away from North Berwick and Edinburgh. An excellent holiday stay was had thanks to Heather.

• James (10/5): A gem; great location and a lovely host. - Maple Cottage is a gem. The rooms are very comfortable and all the facilities are excellent. Its location is perfect for golfers who are playing in and around Gullane. The breakfast was spot on and Heather is a lovely host who cannot do enough to help. Parking is a bit tight. You can always use the Village Hall Car Park next door. Drying facilities are a tad limited but adequate. Everything else was fine.

Heated towel rail in bathroom very helpful to dry some clothes after wet day golfing! Getting locked out once because the inside locking switch had got accidentally moved to locked by someone. No harm done
