Guest Reviews
- Willie (4/5): -
- Rosa (10/5): Tido limpio el servicio muy amable - Si
- Derrick (6/5): -
- Jessica (3/5): We won't be staying there next time. - Breakfast was not great. Pancake machine didn't work and bagels were frozen. Asked for non smoking room and our room smelled like smoke and had cigarette burn in comforter
- Sequoia (10/5): Very kind customer service very clean place very fun pool - Everything (: It was all great (:
- Amy (8/5): Our stay was good. - Room was clean. The breakfast was pretty good! The bed was uncomfortable
- Stephanie (4/5): The room was nice. The hotel itself was also nice. Housekeeping needs to change how they do things. - The first morning breakfast pretty much didn’t exist. Housekeeping opened doors and left them open. No sign to say no housekeeping. Our friends shut our door as it was open for a long time, as were several other doors. Our friends were resting in their room and housekeeping just walked right in, no knocking. Then just proceeded to clean up around them. It was state competition for Special Olympics and there were several athletes and coaches staying there. The idea of leaving all the doors open is crazy.
- Bruce (3/5): Served my purpose. - Breakfast, helpful courteous staff. TV didn't work. Alarm clock didn't work.
- Kazmina (1/5): This place is horrible place to stay!!! - Nothing!!! This place is horrible!! They give you the run around when they charge you an extra 400 dollar fee for no reason whatsoever! I didnt like anything, At first the front desk man was nice and accommodating when I told him we had a wedding party that would have 6 guys spend the night Friday night to get ready the next morning for my daughters wedding. Then they decided to charge me an extra 400 at the time of check out. I have been calling to see the cameras where they could prove there were extra people staying there and haven't been able to get ahold of anyone in regards to it. I keep getting the run around. I want my extra charge of 400 back! They get the charges for the two rooms, but not the 400 extra for absolutely nothing! This place is a scam! Oh and to charge me for cleaning when they should be doing that anyway is outrageous! We made sure both rooms were cleaned the beds weren't stripped down, which again is not my job its there's!! ONE MORE THING: They kicked my son-in-law and 5 friends out of the pool, saying that the other families were scared of them and that there wasn't enough room for them in the pool!!!
- Mr.&Mrs. Rivera (7/5): -
- Emmaline (9/5): -
- Fike (9/5): Staff was amazing and we will definitely be staying again. - It was close to stores restaurants and gas stations. The door at the end didn't work properly we had a hard time trying to get out the door.
- Raul (10/5): -
- Mireya (1/5): -
- Myers (8/5): - It was nice and quiet
- Hanson (9/5): -
- Esteban (3/5): - TV didn't work for nothing
- Courteney (8/5): - Breakfast was just okay.
- Crystal (10/5): - We had family weekend in Whitewater and we absolutely loved our stay! Staff was so sweet and so kind. Our room was so spacious, we loved our stay and can’t wait to go back
- Barbara (4/5): - Staff rude and not helpful as we sought to change a mistake we had made to our reservation. While they needed to refer us to hotels.com, they did so in a rude and unprofessional matter. When we called back to ask them to hold our room although we wouldn't be using the first night's reservation, they were rude and unhelpful again. And when we arrived to a room they said had been set aside for us since the day before, it was not clean/made up. (This was evidenlty the afternoon manager, a female. The younger muscled male day staff was helpful.)
- Becky L (8/5): - Close to where I needed to be
- Vrba (5/5): -
- Kayla (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay! My other half got there before me, they were so helpful get him checked in. We ended up losing our keys to our room, they were so helpful getting us a replacement. Washer and Dryer worked great, nice hot shower, and breakfast was good, pancakes were yummy! Definitely will be back if ever in the area again!
- Teodora (10/5): - I haven't seen this kind of service even in a 5 star hotel.
The entire staff was extremely accomodating and welcoming. They went above and beyond to accommodate us as there were a lot of unforseen changes on our part.
They remained flexing and super helpful.
Highly recommend this place!
- Amanda (10/5): - It was easy to get in and settled. Quiet.
- Roger (6/5): - It did not seem the people at the hotel cared about the hotel.
- Sade (10/5): - Very clean and respectful
- Laura (2/5): - I didn't like anything about this property. The building was old, there were cobwebs everywhere, the hot tub wasn't working and on top of that - I asked for a printed receipt and was told that they don't give receipts! When I insisted, all they did was print a registration form. All of the desk attendants spoke very poor English and spoke to each other in their native language so you had no idea what they were saying - how rude! AmericInn Corp - get rid of this property - it reflects very poorly on what is otherwise a decent budget hotel chain.
- Rebecca (4/5): I will not be staying here again - The room smelled bad. I could not pinpoint what kindnof smell it was, not quite musty, not quite old cigarettes, not quite old food... I was able to mask it with the classic trick of making a cup of the inroom coffee.
Unrelated, there was feces on the rim of the toilet and when i went to tell the staff, there was no one at the front desk. Luckily, for my job i travel with rubber gloves and was able to clean it myself safely, but YUCK!
And finally, the breakfast was egregiously bad. No need to go into all the reasons why, but I'll just suggest that a more trickedmout coffee station and a few muffins would be a much better option.
- Dean (2/5): - Not good
- Logan (8/5): - Would stay again
- Trevor (2/5): - -
- Diane (8/5): Beautiful Hotel With Flaws - No elevator, rooms were not ready at 3 pm check in time, pool was not heated.
- Jason (4/5): - The room I had smelled bad. The AC smelled like someone urinated into it. The bed was like sleeping on a concrete slab.
They finally agreed to move me to a different room. Smelled better but bed was still very firm.
Morning breakfast area by the coffee was a mess.
- Kari (1/5): The room had a musky smelling with mold on the ceiling. - I liked being close to the location of where we needed to be, food places and stores. When we checked in we were given a room on the second floor (that had a really, really bad smell) that had not been cleaned. Beds weren't made, gallon of milk laying on the stand and garbage everywhere. Went back to the front desk and told the receptionist. She apologized and gave is a different room on the first floor. When we walked in the room had a very musky smell. Smelled like it was coming from the air conditioner so I turned that off. We ended up sleeping with the windows open because the smell was so bad. In the morning when we woke up, I noticed there was mold all over the ceiling! Not happy. At. All. I will not stay here again and will make sure not to recommend this place to anyone else.
- Lisa (8/5): Smoke alarm issues - Everything was fantastic. The only issue was the smoke alarm that was going off when we got there. They thought they took care of it but at 5a.m. started going off once again for the remainder of the night.
- Randall (2/5): Not a good night's stay - Location was good. One of our rooms had not been cleaned when we checked in at 7:30pm and the other didn't have any toilet paper. The clerk at the front desk was very rude. The owner was walking around in short shorts and barefoot -- very unprofessional. The breakfast was barely warm and they heavily seasoned the eggs with pepper, making them uneditable. There was no elevator and only one exit that I could find.
- Steve (10/5): - AC unit was a bit musty but filters easily cleaned. Ok.
- Robin (9/5): - Front desk lady was unknowable in third party booking, naking sure we knew she didn't like that. Understandable, but why have thrud party, if you don't want to deal with them. Made us feel like we didn't belong at the hotel.
- Kathy (8/5): - Room smelt musty and carpet felt damp
- Verified traveler (2/5): Room Smell was terrible. - The bed was fine and the food was just ok, but the room smell was the worst I have ever experienced.
- Mockute (6/5): - Pool area seemed clean and reception was clean Stayed at this place before but this time we were disappointed. Carpet in our was dirty, comforter had yellow big stain, bathroom floor was dirty….
- Carina (6/5): - Ok
- Wendell (4/5): Good location but I will not be starting here agai - Check in was excellent. Even carried some of our luggage to the room. Room was musty smelling, something was left on the carpet. Dirty underwear found in a drawer. Toilet stool needs a new wax ring as the toilet rocks. Also, the breakfast was not up too what we have normally seen at motels.
- Robert (6/5): - The room had a very musty smell and was stuffy, however it was a nice large size. One of the lights above the bathroom sink kept blinking on and off. Some of the guests were very loud until about midnight.
- Nancy (7/5): -
- HeatherS (8/5): - For the price, this hotel was a good value. There was some delayed maintenance, but it was clean, quiet, the staff was pleasant and attentive and it was conveniently-located. The pool and hot tub were clean, as well.
- robert (9/5): -
- Jeff (6/5): Served my purpose. - Location, clean, good repair. Only got spectrum channel, nothing else.
Staff seemed frustrated.
- Mockute (9/5): Superb - Perfect for short stay. Seemed clean and well maintained. Would Stay again Pancake machine was not working properly, could have more choices for breakfast.
- Gregor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ellen (8/5): Very good -
- Melissa (4/5): - The room itself was nice, but the bathroom smelled like pee, carpet was wet.the room was not ready at check in time. The shower fixture was broken. When we explained this to the front desk the first day they said there would a manager on the next day. The next day there was a manager who said there was nothing they could do without speaking to the owner. Owner never contacted us to rectify The issues. Twenty minutes before checkout, our keys stopped working while we were packing the vehicle to leave.
- Ron (2/5): Unbearably Musty Smell and Dirty Sheets - Stayed in room 108, the room had an unbearable musty smell. Dropped off our luggage and opened the windows, thinking the smell would dissipate while we were at a concert, however, the smell was just as bad when we got back 8 hours later. We were exhausted and decided to tough it out and to get a few hours of sleep before traveling but pulled back the sheets and there was a big yellow stain right in the middle. Also, noticed the chair in the corner had a large stain on one arm rest. Wish we would have taken a closer look at the room or said something about the smell when we first checked in but we were in a rush. Ended up packing and leaving at 1:30am to head home instead of staying in the room. Was very surprised at the condition of this room since the reviews of the hotel paint a different picture.
- Chris (8/5): - Great property and clean
- Margaret (2/5): - Please avoid this place. It was dingy and dark. Unfortunately I became ill during my visit. Not on purpose. I had to beg the night attendant to bring me clean sheets. Beg for blankets. Did not get pillows. There are much better hotels in the area. I will not return.
- YUN (10/5): - quiet room
- Robert (5/5): Had problem getting into our room in timely way. Poor quality breakfast. Not a good value for price. - Large room Commercial location with few close amenities.
Rough around edges.
- JaLayne (4/5): - Building
- Tracy (4/5): - Do NOT recommend!!! No elevator to accommodate our son who is disabled in a wheelchair and our rooms were on 2nd floor. Place was dirty and moldy. Rooms smelled like a wet dog. No coffee in lobby in morning. Have to ring a door bell to get desk service. Told us we couldn't have food in pool area, however the staff's children had food. Just not a good experience. What hotel doesnt have an elevator in this day and age?
- Scott L wilfong (6/5): - The bed was comfy.
- Sharon (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful staff!! Very clean!!
- Steven (4/5): - There for Special Olympics tournament in Whitewater. Breakfast was sparse and our Athletes needed to be fueled for competition.
Came back on Day1 and found our door propped open with the lock.
Assumed it was housekeeping.
About an hour later we were resting and housekeeping unlocked the door and came right in, no knocking, saw us laying on our beds, propped the door open and continued cleaning.
I noticed another Athletes door had been propped open all afternoon so I went and closed it
People have their personal belongings in their rooms and rely on locked doors to keep them secure.
- Bradford (8/5): - .
- Svetlana (6/5): - Shower had a damaged tub, curtain rod where it met the was was all damaged and looked terrible, bathroom needed a good painting and could use a new shower stall. Stains all over rug in room walls needed patching and a good painting. We got in the room and the last person who was in room their garbage was left behing and food crumbs and other dirt was on rug. Toilet paper wasn't replaced just a new roll on top of Toilet. Pool area needs a deep cleaning among other areas.
- Barbara (10/5): Exceptional - Clean and comfortable and the staff was very helpful and caring
- Shaun (10/5): - It is not near any highway.
If you like fun country roads, this is for you
Clean and great staff
- 498martys (10/5): A stay at a reasonably priced place with a pool and breakfast. h pool and breakfast - The employees are friendly and helpful. The pool and hottub are well kept. The breakfast is top notch. A little bit of noise from trucks parking at a warehouse next door.
Located in a city that has agricultural and outdoor activities.
Conveniently located with stores nearby.
- Matthew (6/5): - The property was pretty good overall. We swam and had a good breakfast. Beds were pretty comfortable. We were not able to use the internet. They said they were at full capacity and that was why the internet wasn’t working. Honestly, you should have an internet connection that can handle the volume of customers you have. Was disappointed that it was advertised to have internet but we were not able to connect to it.
- Connie (7/5): Good -
- Carolyn (8/5): good place to stay outside of Madison - bed was comfortable, better than most chains, room was clean, staff was helpful and friendly,a nd price was reasonable dogs were barking during night, bathroom was cozy
- Garrett (6/5): Didn’t get what we paid for. - In no way was this place bad. One thing really ticked me off though. Looking at rooms for just the two of us. Normal King rooms are sold out. Could have got two queens but for $12 more can get a King Suite with a fireplace. Did we need one no but why not? Don’t need two beds. Then of course the fireplace doesn’t work. Asked why and were told when the hotel changed hands they turned them all off. Well then don’t advertise it as a suite with fireplace! Room had a very weird layout. Looked like it was redone and things removed or rearranged. Pretty poor excuse for a suite. Stayed in much nicer. We’re gonna open the window and just let the night air in but screen was all bent and who knows what would enter while it’s open. Bed was comfy and overall it was a perfectly fine stay. Next time I’d probably pick something the next town over. Jefferson was a nice place just not this hotel til it gets its s**t togethet.
- Chad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bill (7/5): Good -
- Tonya (8/5): Nice clean hotel - The hotel was convenient to get to the highway and to the side roads into nearby towns.
The people were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were large and clean. The hotel is showing a little wear and tear (the tub showed minor damage, and the towels and linens looked a bit worn). The pool area was clean and well-maintained (we spent more time at the pool than we planned). The hotel supplied towels in the pool area, but they were on the small side (think between hand towel and bath towel size).
The breakfast was pretty standard ( i.e., coffee, juice, egg discs, sausage, cereal, white bread, white bagels, and generic yogurt). No one in our party liked the egg discs. The coffee was decent (only artificial creamer was available). Half of our party preferred to go to the McDonald's next door to grab breakfast. So there are other options if you do not want what the hotel has to offer.
We would stay there again if we were in the area
- Jon (10/5): - .
- Verified traveler (8/5): - TV remote did not work, reported it but the attendant could not fix it
- SUE (10/5): - it was clean and quite
- Hull (8/5): Very good -
- D9553YNheidis (4/5): Unimpressed - Our initial hotel room, the ceiling was covered in mold, the entire ceiling on the first floor. We complained and got moved to the second floor. The room was better, however could use a deep clean as there was a lot of dirt on the floor in the bathroom and toilet paper was lacking. We had to get some replacement rolls. Breakfast we only had the first day we stayed as it was not impressive at all. Dried up eggs, some sausage and two choices of cereal. Coffee wasn't great either. The walls were thin so we could hear a gentleman shouting profanities on his phone call while smoking an illegal substance which was filtering into our hotel room's A/C unit as we were sitting above a patio. The pool was ok, hot tub was alright. Lighting in the pool room could be updated as it was dingy and dark. Unimpressed by the hotel. The front desk attendant was missing all the time as "he was servicing rooms to help out their 80 year old housekeeper". I heard this twice during our stay. Why are you hiring 80 year olds to clean rooms, and apparently only one person is on staff for cleaning.
- Kent (8/5): Great stay but could use improved breakfast option - The pool water temperature was warm, which was a total surprise, as other pool water temperatures were cold. The breakfast is a low-scale economical breakfast for the owner, I understand his motive behind his thinking however it will be an incentive for future customers if waffles, quality eggs and bacon were also options along more juices besides orange and apple juice
- Ulices (10/5): Exceptional -
- Manofintegrity82 (10/5): Quiet, well-maintained location with plenty of amenities! - This Hotel has all the amenities you could ever want or need and is clean and well-maintained. Check-in staff were helpful and friendly. Property is situated in good location across from a Wal-Mart center, easy to find and gives one a vibe of being safe and quiet. It is NOT a pet-friendly or smoker-friendly place, but otherwise has everything going for it.
- Brian (10/5): - Well-maintained, clean, and with all the amenities one could ever need! Very friendly and helpful check-in staff, and location has easy access yet has quiet and safe vibe to it. I definitely recommend and will make this place my first choice if and when I am in the area again!
- Kevin (9/5): Superb -
- C4850QTscotts (10/5): Quiet and Cozy place. - Great silent place there were people enjoying the pool area we too got chance i think this was the best time to travel. Sufficient breakfast and the front desk guy was good asked us to help and he really helped my parent carrying big bag he kept it till room even not waited on me to come. I will visit here again if I am around.
- Daniel (8/5): - Snow and ice in parking lot not every where but enough and having a bad leg i wish i could have been on the first floor not the second but other than that it was alright
- Lori (7/5): Good - Proximity to my job. Stayed overnight due to the weather NA
- Rivera (8/5): I'll be coming back again - It was a clean and homey room and I'd recommend it to many other I also like the fact they accept cash and not card only There really isn't anything I didn't like about the place
- Jayme (10/5): Exceptional -
- toryw711 (10/5): Was a very great hotel - Very great hotel. The room was very spacious and clean. The pool and hot tub area were nice and warm even when it’s cold outside. The breakfast was really good. It was just a very good overall hotel and I would recommend it to traveling family members
- Murbie (9/5): Superb -
- Connie (2/5): Never again - Location Wasn't handicap accessible and they didn't even have shower chair when requested . Horrible cold breakfast. Totally unhelpful people. Hard bed. My husband slept on/in a chair. Never again
- Jeff (10/5): - Very nice
- Jill (8/5): Very good -
- James (7/5): Good - Location was fine. Room was ok, not overly clean. Large clump of hair in the shower drain. Breakfast was very nice. Pool stated it closed at 11:00 and staff told us we had to go back to our rooms by 10:00. Confusing...
- Janyce (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eileen (8/5): Nice - Staff not available for checkout
- Mark (8/5): Worth the money but could be cleaner. - The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. The breakfast was much better than the ones offered at hotels. The staff was very accommodating. In the room we were initially given, the heater didn’t work and black dirt came out of the hot water faucets in the sink and tub. We were given a much better room on the first floor (note, there is no elevator) but the bedspread was rather badly stained (or perhaps dirty?). We don’t usually watch tv on trips, but there was a particular event we wanted to see. The tv resolution was not as good as it should be.
- Michael (1/5): We will never stay in this hotel again. - Absolutely nothing Breakfast was cold. There was no hot water for a good part of the morning. We did not have one full roll of toilet paper and had to get more. We stayed up and played cards in the breakfast area until 1 in the morning, not one of the 3 employees were at the front desk at all. Other guests came out to find them because their tvs didn't work. We had to go and find an employee to help these guests. When we got back to our rooms, our tvs didn't work either. We spoke with the employee when checking out about our experience, he offered us half off a room for our next visit. We declined because we will never stay there again.
