Guest Reviews
- Gary (10/5): - The friendliest staff I have encountered in a while. They were super in settings me up with parking my trailer and room needs. Went above and beyond.
- Shilah (4/5): Roaches, horrible beds, popcorn ghosts. - The person working the front desk, Melodie, was probably the best part of the hotel. She was super friendly and so helpful. I’m positive if she wasn’t apart of the staff, this hotel would be a 2 star hotel at most. She’s that good!
We had roaches in our room - disgusting. And they were hiding so we weren’t aware of their presence until the last evening of our stay when we were awake in the room later in the evening. We then spent an hour shaking out everything we had to ensure they all stayed at there. Melodie mentioned a long term guest was there prior to us and could explain their presence. But still. Ewwww.
The mattresses were so uncomfortable. I want to say maybe 6-8 inches with these god-awful springs. Considered getting a mattress topper because the mattresses were that bad.
The tv are connected to WiFi - fun! Except when the WiFi is out not even local channels work. It had been storming and there was no way to even see the weather for updates. The WiFi was out when we got there and the next day. The room had nothing else to offer for entertainment except the hidden roaches… another issue and it’s actually just a personal bother. The hotel smelled perpetually of popcorn. With none in sight.
Melodie did give us a $50 ish dollar discount when we mentioned the roaches - which was kind but considering all of our issues it has me avoiding this hotel. You’re better off spending more at another hotel or staying in another town.
- Dawn (10/5): - Happy
- carol (8/5): - Just like other motels
- Matthew (4/5): - Television did not work the heating cooling system smelt like urine could not use
- Janet (6/5): - Quiet with comfortable beds. Bathroom fixtures needed to be updated. Toilet seat loose, poor flushing, no drain in sink, faucet spewed water.
- Felicia (10/5): - It was very peaceful around the property. There were plenty of places to dine. The staff was overly informational. Tons of parking
- Rebekah (6/5): EV and pet friendly - EV charging stations!
- Fred (8/5): - Muffins could have been fresher
- Thomas (8/5): - Kinda hard to enter
- Robert (6/5): - Odor
- Harish (10/5): - Great Customer Service , well greeted , Net and Clean room , lobby , reception, break room, fresh break fast , variety / options items ,
Like to stay next time visit of the Lincoln ,IL
- John (8/5): Fine - Basic room. Clean comfortable. Little dated but otherwise fine
- Margaret M (10/5): - Good value. Clean room. Prompt service.
- Beth (6/5): - The rooms were clean. Would recommend. It is an older facility but fine.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Zach checked us in and was friendly and helpful. The man doing breakfast was great and eager to serve.
- Tashawna (8/5): - It was ok
- Amy (2/5): - Very dated motel. Dirtiest bathroom I have ever seen in a motel. Shower drain filled with hair and backed up immediately when water was run. Bathroom floor very dirty with a lot of hair and grime. Bathroom counter moulding pulled away from wall and gap filled with dirt, hair, and a used toothbrush. Staff was nice. Breakfast was ok. Pool is small and cold.
- Brenda (4/5): - Told us pool would be available 2nd day of stay and wasn't. Remote in room didn't work, gave us another one without batteries so back to front desk.
- Lisa (10/5): Definite, yes - Moved into this hotel from another where we had a very bad experience. The staff bent over backwards for us. They allow us to do an early check-in because we were moving from one hotel to another. They remembered a room number and our names and were very welcoming to many of those who were in the community for an event. Highly recommend in the area. Will stay there again.
- Debra (6/5): - Overall the property was good. The bathroom had a strong odor to it that may have been due to what was used to clean it. The air-conditioning unit was fairly loud. The staff was excellent. Very nice and professional.
- Kristine (6/5): - This was the most 'bare-bones' hotel room ever. No luggage rack, 1 waste basket, no screen in the bathroom faucet, no drain cover in the bathroom sink. Not a picture on the walls and a big empty space by the window where a chair could have been. Outlets were barely hanging in the wall and plugs would fall out. ON the positive side, the breakfast was well stocked.
- Hollie (8/5): - Check in was great. However, it was a two nice stay and the cleaner only came in and replaced towels. Did not remove trash or make the beds. Key stopped working after first day. I’m disabled and had to go all the way back down to check in to get key fixed to he told that it’s been happening all day.
- Kathy (6/5): - Back door of hotel was not locked. It stayed that way. Not propped. Key card entry not set.
Bathroom was rough. Grout not clean. Tub surface worn and marked up.
- JASON (2/5): - Did not get a room after booking denied me probably chatging me
- Frank (6/5): - Room was clean and well appointed. Plank floor was uneven and many planks were bowed. Lots of noise from kids in pool.
- Barb (8/5): - Nice place to stay
- Office (10/5): - Everyone was polite and curteous
- Kathy (2/5): - Bed bugs!
- Rachel (4/5): - Too many negatives to list so I’ll say one positive. The front desk was polite. That’s all I can say. I’ll never return nor recommend.
- Susan (2/5): - This hotel was old, the rooms were odoress and in poor condition. Staff was not helpful. We could not even spend the night because of all of the above and other. Totally disgusting!!
- Dan (4/5): - The staff was very friendly and kind. When my kids were in the pool the front desk brought pool noodles for them and was friendly. Also, the breakfast lady noticed that one of the people in our group liked de-caff and always made sure the days we were there that she had de-caff brewed for that member of our party as well as whatever else food they liked. She was very nice. The rooms weren't super clean. The first room we looked at had dust and hair on the tv stand. The bathroom also had a strange smell that would get worse and better throughout our stay. I think the room we were staying in was supposed to be renovated, but there were loose tiles in the bathroom and everything just seemed to be hurriedly thrown together with no attention to detail. It might have been that the room wasn't done but they were full up because of the IL State Fair and they rented it anyway? But the strange smells and dust and lack of cleanliness wasn't super pleasant.
- Omar (8/5): - Nice and friendly staff. The room was not the cleanest. Funky smell.
- Misty (2/5): - When we checked in they said my payment was declined but yet it wasn’t so he ran my card again. Now I’m double charged. Room smelled horrible. Bathroom counter was sticky and inches of grime in bathtub and outside of it . Spiders everywhere. With pictures to go with.
- Philip (8/5): - Great place to stay. No issues and staff was very friendly.
- Jessica (4/5): - Stayed one night on our way to destination. Room was fairly cheap and didn’t have great expectations so it wasn’t as much of a let down. The bathroom smelled like baby puke and the bed was creaking. Looked clean but had a smell.
- Cassandra (10/5): - Absolutely great stay. Had issues with another hotel we had been staying in. We went to you guys for help. Got us right in and we are very pleased thank you again. Cassandra
- Jessica (8/5): - Everyone was super friendly
- kimberly (6/5): - Host was friendly. Lobby was nice n pretty. Room was okay. Not very clean and light didn’t work
- James (6/5): Under Construction - 1st floor under construction. Everybody stays on 2nd floor including the construction crew. IDK they're trying but price point to high for condition of room
- April (2/5): - Wouldn’t stay here ever again. Beds uncomfortable shower fan broken
- Dixie (8/5): Breakfast needed improvement - I would like to add more later about an excellent employee, but I wanted to comment on breakfast. There were 3 kinds of cereal-maybe I was supposed to take a little container of half and half (or something). I thought there might be a pitcher of milk. There was bread for toast-only jelly I saw was grape. Container had cream cheese, but nothing to put it on. None of the tea bags were non-caffeine. There were hot eggs and sausage, but I may have come close to steaming myself. Everything else was great; breakfast not so much. This was at 7am.
- Whitney (4/5): - Staff was lovely but it looked like the walls were going to come down from the inside of the property. The floor is coming up, the doors are banged up, the walls are paper thin, the beds were extremely uncomfortable and the breakfast was missing most everything every morning. Bummer deal all around.
- Jorge (2/5): - Breakfast was bad, no water pressure in the shower, room wasn’t clean, and the tv was staticky.
- Tom (6/5): - Property is as tired as a long haul trucker on a coastal run
- Carolyn (4/5): Do better!! - The 1st room that they put me in. The toilet when you sit down on it was moving. The shower had a nasty dark ring around it. The bed as you can see in the pictures, was nasty as well. The 2nd room, was a little better. I had to clean the bathroom myself. The floors were sticky, and dusty.
- Chelsea (2/5): - Cockroaches in the hallway and behind the bed. Not cleaned at all
- Lorri (2/5): - The staff was rude and the property was dirty. There were ceiling tiles missing in the hall and pool area. Cigarette butts and litter around the entrance doors, the bathroom had hair on the toliet seat, and the room smelled musty and smokey.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - There was hair in the shower, we pulled back the covers on the bed and there was hair and lint and bugs. My daughter sat her hoodie down on the table and then when she went to puck it up there was a bug on it. The shhets were also damp. They came in to change the linens on one of the beds and they just shook off all that stuff that was on the one bed onto the floor and left it there. The lights on the nightstands also didnt work. We had to leave we could not stay here, we were only there for a total of 30 mins and we had to leave because it was so disgusting and dirty we felt like styff was crawling on us. Id ratger sleep in my car all night then be forced to stay in there.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - They need new towels. Old and thin.
- Teri (4/5): - When I got there it smelled awful in hallway. And my room door was propped open and I was scared to go in room. Ask person at front desk and he said housekeeping must have forgotten it. I was traveling alone. It was scary. Never again
- audrey (10/5): Amazing - The best we had for a week going to S Dakota and back
- Michelle (10/5): - Good,
- Debra L (4/5): Not staying again! - It was not the room I booked online. The noise was horrible -- couldn't sleep until all patrons stopped moving! Bathroom was a mess -- toilet moved and not enough hot water to complete one shower!
Bed was comfortable, and breakfast was good.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Truthfully for the price it wasn’t too bad. Toilet wasn’t attached correctly so every time someone used the restroom they sounded as if they were going to fall threw the floor.. Oh hot water? Forget about it. Overall you get what you pay for.
- Melanie (8/5): Montana or bust - The front desk clerk at check in was extremely helpful. Beds not so comfortable but we were exhausted and all we needed was a shower and a bed
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff was very friendly. Fast and easy check-in process. Facility clean. Pool area nice and clean.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Was decent for the price - just disappointing that both the ice and soda machines were out of service.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The only reason I rated the experience a 4 instead of a five was no fault of staff or building. Simply because of covid the bag breakfast was not up to par. It was understood for pandemic. It would have been much nicer to actually order in instead of have to microwave sandwiches. No fresh muffins was a disappointment. Well the breakfast was a disappointment. Everything else including staff was great.
- Dan (8/5): - Nice people, easy too find, only complaint is the cleaning could be a little better.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The staff were very helpful to give direction s and places to eat.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The bathrooms were disgusting both dirty and in smell. There was obvious filth on furniture and trash cans. We left a day early.
- Daniel (6/5): No Masks Worn by Staff - Disappointing/Careless - I was extremely disappointed that the hotel staff, both at check-in and check-out wore no masks, and when I checked in there were 3 other people in the lobby and none of them had masks on either. When I asked the check-in staff person, he was rather nonchalant and dismissive. No matter your views on Covid, or whether you have been impacted, the law says to wear a mask, and if you are greeting customers, I found this inexcusable. When I got to town I mistakenly went to the Comfort Inn a couple blocks away first, and when I went in that staff person had a mask on. I feel like this reflects on the overall lodging product, and as Lincoln is a good halfway point for me on a regular trip I take, my business will now be going to the Comfort Inn from here on out. Do better Quality Inn, and show that you care about travelers who have been on the road, in crummy weather, and do the right thing. You don't have to go above and beyond, just do the right thing.
- William (6/5): Decent place - friendly staff. bed was comfortable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I liked the smaller, more personal aspect of the hotel. They said they don’t get many guests during the winter months, and while I thought that was a bad thing at first, it actually was really nice ; makes it feel more like a home than a hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good Hotel - Really Needs Bigger Breakfast Area - Overall this was a good stay, the facility was clean and the room was comfortable. I would have given this a 5-star review but the breakfast area was much, much too small for the size of the facility. If you don't eat breakfast at hotels, then you would probably rate this place a 10, but if you don't like standing awkwardly in the lobby while the desk clerk watches you eat, then you're probably a lot like me. Other than that one issue, it was a really good place to stay.
- R.M (10/5): - Everything was fine. Particularly liked how fast the check in was. 24/7 hot drinks is a plus. I would stay here again if I’m in the area.
- Sinnette (2/5): Would not stay here - We stayed there two nights and the last night that we were there fire alarm went off everybody went outside 1015 minutes later we came back again still nothing from any of the management husband went out to find out what was going on there was nobody at the front desk we did not feel safe after that people partying in the hallway is back security door was left open with the rock the two nights that we stayed there sorry but I will never stay at your facility again
- DALE T (4/5): Disappointing - The staff was helpful. Property not so much. First room deadbolt didn’t work. Second room the door stuck and you had to make sure to pull door all the way shut or it didn’t latch. We found garbage in the night stand and the closet and AC unit didn’t have trim. Just looked like crap.
Breakfast was disappointing. Juice dispensers either were empty or didn’t work. Eggs were rubbery and biscuit was not good either. Sausage was good and they had a waffle maker so not a total loss
Lastly the property itself was disappointing. Out side was dirty littered with cigarette butts at the side entrance. Garbage can full and someone kept propping the outside side door.
- Sandy (8/5): - Desk personnel was friendly. Room and floors were clean. Located near an area where you could walk your dog.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - the outside security door was inoperative, and our room door was warped. Very hard to open and close. Breakfast buffet ran out of food.
- Terry (8/5): Business stay, one night - The TV channels, the signals were not good. Some had picture but no sound.
The room was clean and comfortable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent Staff at check in. Breakfast was good. Only stayed one night but was great.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - When we checked in the attendant was distracted on the phone and failed to even acknowledge us. We had to wait close to 15 minutes for him to address us. From his side of the conversation, we could tell he was dealing with a reservation issue. It was not just a social call. The clerk the next morning was very pleasant and accommodating. We requested a later checkout and she pleasantly agreed.
- JessicaD (6/5): - Breakfast was good, the room had a broken tub and stained comforter, walls in room were beat up and need painted, Towels had stains but smelled clean
- Liz (6/5): - Staff I dealt with were beautiful to me, the breakfast was good, although the sausage was dry, but a nice variety and you didnt leave hungry. The only complaint i have is that there was visible mold in the bathtub, esp. on the far side of the faucet, there was sand in the hot tub and the rug in the common area looked dirty. Oterwise, i was satisfied and will be back again! Cant say enough about the lovely staff; they were the cream of the crop!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The hotel was very clean, quiet and the staff members were very professional and polite
- Daniel (8/5): - It is a nice basic hotel. Well maintained and clean. They have free wifi and buffet style breakfast in the morning. I just stayed for one night, but it was comfortable.
- Cathy (6/5): Lincoln IL Quality Inn - Bathroom was very unkempt. Black grout that had been white, mildew on bottom of shower curtain, general sloppy cleaning. However, I spoke to the front desk and they say they are slated to completely replace all the bathrooms.
Also, the card key system was down and we (all guests) had to have our door manually opened for us each time we left and then came back to our room.
Front desk staff was very friendly!!
- Verified traveler (8/5): quick weekend trip - the rooms look like they were recently updated with hardwood floors. The exterior could use some touching up. Overall decent value for the price. Good Mexican restaurant within walking distance.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Bed was very uncomfortable but the room was nice and friendly staff
- Crystal (10/5): - The staff was nice and professional and the hotel was clean and very welcoming. Breakfast was also good. We arrived late night after driving in the snow storm and they allow us a later check out. Thank you so very much, we really needed that extra sleep before getting back on the road.
- Archie (10/5): Great stay - We had a great stay! Manager at front was very friendly and hospitable!
