Sandy (6/5): Hotel met aardig personeel en goede beveiliging in de nacht, maar de kamer viel tegen. - Het personeel was enorm aardig en tijdens happy hour kon je lekker drankjes halen voor een goede prijs, bij de bar aan het zwembad. Er waren niet echrt duidelijk/realistische foto's van onze familiekamer te vinden op de site en toen we aankwamen bij de kamer schrokken wij enorm van wat we zagen. Er zou een keukentje inzitten met koelkast erbij, maar uiteindelijk stond er een een kleine koelkast tegen de muur in de kamer met verder niets eromheen, niet een een keuken kastje of aanrecht blad, niet zoals we hadden verwacht dus. Ook hadden wij een kamer met 2 tweepersoonsbedden en 1 eenpersoonsbed, maar het eenpersoonsbed sliep hetzelfde als dat je op de vloer zou gaan liggen (gelukkig sliepen de tweepersoonsbedden wel lekker).

socialimpaulse (10/5): Hospitality that feels like home în the heart of Hersonissos - We had a wonderful stay at Agrabella Hotel in Hersonissos. The location is perfect, just 2–3 minutes to the sea, tavernas, shops, bus stops, and even the local aquarium (which we definitely recommend visiting), yet still quiet and peaceful at night. Unlike many hotels right by the beach road where music and crowds go on until late, this one is in a much calmer spot The hotel is family-run, and you feel that personal touch everywhere. Anastasios and his family were so kind, welcoming and always ready to help with anything, from practical tips to local recommendations. The rooms fit every budget, and cleanliness was excellent in our experience daily tidying, frequent towel changes, and fresh sheets twice a week Breakfast was good with plenty of choices, including local dishes, hot options, desserts, coffee and juices. Yes, some items repeat (like in most hotels), but the quality and variety were satisfying overall. The only thing to note is that most rooms don’t have sea views, except some of the top-floor apartments, but in return you enjoy peace and quiet during the night. Overall, a great balance of location, hospitality and value for money. Hersonissos itself is a lovely destination, and staying here made our trip even better. Would gladly come back! ☀️🏖️

La gentillesse du personnel, professionnel (Maria et Marini , excellentes, toujours souriantes et serviables). Petit déjeuner très varié,il y en a pour tous les goûts. La literie ainsi que le manque de propreté. La fermeture et ouverture des portes de chambres , même en faisant attention, ça claque et raisonne dans le couloir .

543monicavictoriac (2/5): NO!!! - When we first arrived at the hotel, the receptionist was very nice, she explained everything, I was already familiar with the AC fee before departure. Upon arriving at the room, my boyfriend and I were tired, but the AC worked as it pleased...Wi-Fi 0 points. I was using my data from my operator the whole time...We didn't get a remote control for the TV, and we weren't interested because it was so old and small that it didn't matter. The bed was uncomfortable and creaked with every movement. We didn't mind the location by the road at all, but noisy German tourists (I know German, I studied it for 8 years) constantly disturbed us after 11:00 PM with loud laughter, roaring...In the morning we found cigarette butts on the terrace, pieces of food and some pieces of packaging. I went to complain 3 times. Despite this, we didn't sleep for 6 out of 7 nights. We were looking forward to leaving the hotel in the morning and stayed out almost the whole day. The breakfast was terrible. The pastries were not fresh, the juices were diluted differently every day, I only tried the coffee once and only had one sip...Terrible!!! Running up the stairs, stomping, banging, screaming...But at night! You set the quiet time at 11 PM and it was a mess all those nights...We somehow suffered the rest of our stay. When the last morning at this hotel finally arrived, I was startled by the security guard because he was standing right in front of our terrace! Was he checking to see if we were really leaving? As soon as we left the room, the guard took our keys and said goodbye...I found it inappropriate and unprofessional!!! I have been to many hotels and many countries, but this was the worst accommodation. I don't recommend.

starshaped83 (8/5): Lovely and friendly hotel - We really enjoyed our stay here, so please don't be put off by the negative reviews. So first of all, the staff are amazing. So so friendly and welcoming, an absolute credit to the hotel. We had booked the economy room but decided to upgrade - nothing free until the next morning (we arrived very late so not an issue). The economy room is small with a tiny balcony but for all accounts does the job. You need to pay extra for air conditioning with the economy too. We wanted a bit more space and the upgrade really isn't much more and includes air con and wi-fi. We got our upgrade the next morning and the new room was great - nice and spacious, extremely comfortable bed, nice sized balcony overlooking a little plaza area and tortoise enclosure (! So nice!). The TV doesn't have many channels but we weren't watching TV anyway. Bathroom a nice big size with actual bath. The water pressure in shower wasn't as good as some we have had before but it did the job. Nice big wardrobe to hang our clothes, plus an extra futon too. Nice size fridge. Food we found to be good. Yes, funnily enough there's a lot of Greek food on offer because Crete is a Greek island! The breakfast selection was good - some dried cereals, yoghurt, cold meats, cheeses, pastries and varied selection of hot food that changed up every day - sausages, diff varieties of eggs, bacon, warm pastries, porridge and rice pudding a couple of mornings (yum). Plus coffee machine and fruit juice. Lunch and dinner was also good - no, the hot selection isn't huge but the dishes they had were nice. Fresh salads of diff varieties, pasta, fish, stew, Greek dishes, potatoes, pizza etc. desserts are only ice cream or fresh fruit, but we don't tend to eat much dessert. There's a huge and varied selection of places to eat right next to the hotel if you wanted something different too. All Inclusive drinks - typical local spirits, beer (really nice), wine (tried the red which was pretty nice). There's no cocktails on the All Inclusive but they do serve them and have lots of Happy Hour specials, 2 for 1 etc and they looked good. Reasonably priced. Fanta, cola etc included on All Inclusive too. There's a nice bar area next to the pool with a games area too - pool, table tennis, etc. big TV screen where they had the Euros football playing. The pool area isn't huge but was nice, the sun hits the top balcony part first and the beds opposite get the sun later in the day. We always got a bed but I would say the best spots get taken up quick and there's not loads of beds so might depend on how busy hotel is. You could always go to a local beach where's it's 5 euros for the full day and right at the sea - we did that a couple of times and it was lovely. Location wise - brilliant. You are a minutes walk away from the main street and 5 mins walk from the beach and beach strip with lots of places to eat, pubs, shops. Hotel far enough back though that it's quiet. Hersonissos is a great place - would recommend Bar Samba on the beach strip (overlooks the sea, great cocktails and there's a giant turtle that swims by all the time!) and also El Puerto Mexican which was delicious. Lots of nice gift shops etc too, ice cream places, and a couple of supermarkets very close by. There's a bakery just at the bottom of the street hotel is on and I got a delicious Greek Bougatsa pastry there one morning, so yummy. Hotel also felt safe - they have 24 hour security and cameras, which I liked a lot. Overall, I really liked this hotel and would go back. If you are used to huge luxurious hotels then no this isn't for you. But if you want a friendly, comfortable hotel with nice food and aren't really fussy and wanting more for a 3 Star hotel, then this is the place.

The one thing which I would have changed was the check out time as I did not appreciate what I had booked . The hotel was great was my not thinking it though

Maria and Alexander are very friendly there always there to help you as much as they can. Even gave us keyrings the day we left absolute love them! We will 100% be back again very soon

MKDons123 (10/5): Great, friendly, family run, clean - Small family owned and run hotel. Very clean, the rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels. Breakfast is a Greek buffet. Staff are fantastic. We arrived at 1am to find the two room apartment we had booked had two doubles and a single. Our kids are f12, m16 and 19 and didn’t want to share. The night porter got us another bed at 1:30 am. Great location close to everything but also very quiet.

The staff were all fantastic creating a great atmosphere making our stay all the more enjoyable. There was nothing they couldnt help with when our tour operater let us down Maria helped us get another booked and would not accept the booking fee she was owed. This family run place is so warm and inviting. The rooms were clean. We had breakfast in the morning that was great. Would highly reccommend and we hope to be back soon
Happiness61624515056 (2/5): The most disappointing hotel we've ever stayed in - If I could leave a worse review, I would, honestly. Let me start by stating the fact that the hotel was booked through Booking for 7 people from 7th-14th August. 5 of our friends got there earlier than us and checked in, so when we checked in we were told off the bat that the AC is 10 euros per day. This shouldn't have happened at all as the AC should be included when you book through booking. We spoke with our friends who told us that they don't need to pay at all for AC and when we spoke with the day receptionist we were told it was a mistake. Honest mistake, we can get over that. The first thing I saw when we got to the room was a bug on the wall. I saw another one in the wardrobe a couple of days later. Rooms should be cleaned every 2 days they said. We only saw ours cleaned once, 2 days before checking out. We knew the cleaning lady came into the room cause she changed the trash bag, but nothing else was cleaned like the floors or the ashtray on the balcony. There were no 'do not disturb' signs to put on the door in case we wanted to sleep in so she didn't even knock or announce she wants to come in, she just unlocked the door and came straight in while we were sleeping, she scared us. Again, I'm more than happy to get over that. We had breakfast included, but we only had it once. The food is so bad. Loads to choose from, but everything bad. And when one of us took a plate outside to eat because inside it was too hot and full of flies, the cleaning lady started to shout in greek at one of the chefs to come get the plate cause we're not allowed to eat outside. Bare in mind, the bar serves some kind of food and they bring you the plates outside, but you're not allowed to bring the plate yourself and have the food outside I guess. The double bed is made up of two single beds which you can't get close enough as to make one big bed in case you're sleeping with a partner. And the mattresses are so uncomfortable. The beach down the road has sun beds a thousand times more comfortable than what they offer. Pool is open from 9am to 9pm but at 8.30pm they already start cleaning it so everybody needs to leave and there's no way to use the chairs and tables in that area after. Which is not fair because it's too hot to stay inside the room, especially if you're a big group like us. For the first 2-3 days all electricity was coming and going every 10 minutes and the wi-fi never worked for the whole duration of the trip. All 7 of us are fine with getting over everything I wrote until now. At the end of the day, we went there to have fun, not to eat or sleep. What annoyed all of us was the night security guy. All the other staff was amazing and really friendly. But the night security guy is the only reason I'm writing this. There was another outside area with tables and chairs where we stayed to talk and stuff because we live in different countries and this holiday was an opportunity for all of us to see each other again. The first night everyone was tired after the flight and we didn't want to go clubbing so we just stayed at the hotel to play cards and talk and the security guy was coming every 5 minutes to say 'quiet'. We didn't think anything of it at first, thinking that we were actually loud, but we actually realised that 95% of the hotel guests were young and they were out clubbing at the time. Another hotel worker had to tell us he could lose his job if he doesn't tell us to be quiet. None of us were drunk, none of us were yelling or anything of the sorts, we were just a group of friends talking. We spent the whole week with him telling us to be quiet for no reason at all. I've never stayed in a hotel like this ever in my life. One night we came home at about 4am and we were finishing our cigarettes in front of the hotel, talking, and the security guy came to shoo us further away because we were noisy apparently and when we went inside he told us to come to the reception area and show him our keys and give him our names to prove that we were staying there. Again, we were not drunk, we're not a drinking group. Another night we were coming to the hotel and he was outside watering the plants and he saw us coming from down the road. We said hi, we went upstairs to change into comfy clothes and when we came back our only outdoor sitting area was soaking wet and we offered to wipe it down because it was the only place where we could sit but we were told no by the guy. Bare in mind, the area wasn’t wet when we went up, so he did it on purpose. 5 out of the 7 of us decided to go into our room so we can still talk and stay together and not even 15 minutes in we get a knock on the door from one of the staff saying he is sorry for this, but we need to be quiet. Both of our left and right neighbours were clubbing at the time, we know that for sure, so we know who exactly complained about us not being quiet. Another night we were finishing our cigarette in front of the hotel and there were two or three guys staying in their room above the entrance of the hotel with the balcony door closed. The security guy starts flashing a light for about 2-3 minutes in their room until one of the guys comes out and the security starts yelling at him to be quiet. The 7 of us didn’t hear anything from the room. The guy upstairs said they didn’t do anything and the security told them to come down to the reception area. When ordering at the bar one night we asked one of the staff why they always tell us to be quiet considering that there’s nobody in the hotel and we’re not making any noise and we were told that the security guy sometimes comes to them and tells them to tell us to be quiet and they argue that we’re not making any noise but apparently he’s the boss so they need to do what he says. At this point, I truly believe quiet is the only word the security guy knows in English. He is the rudest hotel staff I ever met and just so mean. The hotel was ok, we don’t care about the food or anything else, all the other staff were really nice, but he really ruined our holiday and he is the only reason I would tell absolutely everybody to avoid Agrabella. I’m sorry for all his coworkers.

jozsefs105 (10/5): it is always the people that make a stay great! - When I arrived in the evening, tired and hungry, I was disappointed. The pool seemed small, the hotel seemed small. Straightaway I was advised to go have dinner (had 20 minutes left), and it was a Godsend. After check-in, and a good night sleep I saw everything in a different light. I had everything I needed - sunshine, great food, a clean place to rest, a shaded bar area to just relax. I have been in many hotels but I can honestly say, this was the first time I felt like I was a friend of the staff. Maria, Alexandra, their father and the rest of the staff made everyone feel welcomed and well looked after. I had great conversations with them, admired their work ethic. Was it the most luxurious place I've been to? No. But I can certainly say it was the best place!
Jovana (10/5): Exceptional - Nice and polite girls on the reception. Nice cleening ladies. Wifi is very weak, almost not usable. Breakfast is a little bit cheap and it is a lot of food which they prepare on a "greek" way. For example - cinamon and spices which an average europeans are not used to in some meals. Cheapest salami and ham. Pool looks bigger on pictures and doesn't seem very clean to swim in it. Maybe because it is an older pool.

Shoshana (3/5): Poor - We booked two rooms that were left Economy and Superior , and we asked for adjoining rooms, when we arrived at the hotel we saw that the rooms are in two different buildings, we asked for adjoining rooms and were not approved even though there were many empty rooms and they asked for an additional payment, the reception manager and the venue manager spoke to us very rudely and made us wait for about four hours in the lobby Until they confirmed adjoining rooms.

Marion27301 (2/5): SERIOUS WARNING DONT GO THERE!! - The worst hotel I have ever been to. They offered us poisoned food. Food made only from frozen and healthy dangerous products. We had healty problems two weeks after our stay. Cheeky and rude staff. They refused to accept our complaints and they told us to leave the hotel, because we did not want to accept it!!! Very unprofessional behavior! They hate their guests. (Please check the other reviews, especially on Tip Advisor and the reaction from the owner to see this is not a lie). The room were very dirty (cleaned 1 time per week..) and the stuff from Romania steal the things! NO MORE THERE!!!!

Hotel must had three swimming pools, newly renovated rooms even the hotel, at least 7 stars for food and beach next to thehotel maybe sea straight in the hotel room 🤷🏻‍♀️ massages and wellness, we just looked for everything that pleases the eyes and looks beautiful. At least we didnt chose this hotel but the hotel choose us.. ( all right maybe we didnt get a ticket for another airplane to another country) but we get back to prague very bug experience.. i read so many bad things about this hotel.. BUT NOTHING IS TRUE.. !!! Maybe we hadnt got a big television in room but heey we are in vacation or not? How many time you want or you need to spend in room? 😂 FOOD? Selection of lots of sort of salad, meat and seafood, pasta and everything. Omg What Do You Need More? Even with a smile from personal everyday is priceless.. personal were kind and full of energy and smile everyday. Maybe one day i saw someone who was without the mood.. but hey.. i spoke with everybody in the hotel and they are working everyday without the rest or nap. So f*ck.. it is understandable.. they are not robot.. the problem is what kind of persons made the review about this hotel.. if they dont know this family hotel do everything what they can with every strong they have.. if they dont know that the little cute 15years old boy is working from morning until afternoon everyday bcs he help his family.. if they dont know that the security man aka uncle do very very good and responsibly his job throught the night and you can sleep very safefully. I have so much things to write. But it is realy up to People.. if you choose luxury hotel and personal will be rude to you or you never get the perfect care bcs there is million people and the personal never had a chance to remember you and next time call you qith your name... you spend everyday in hotel or in the beach by the hotel and never get out to get some amazing mamories like we get. In final.. This vacation was amazing.. and i am so thanksfull that we had this lucky to be there.. absolutely wonderfull vacation also the place.. I never forget anything neither anyone. Thank you so much for unforgetable 8 days. vacation is like life. You have the life you chose.. if you choose to be happy you will be.. of course if not? You are st*pid😝😂

Jean B. (10/5): This place was wonderful! - We had such a fun stay! The pool and hotel bar was really fun and we enjoyed spending the afternoon in that area after checking in. The check in process was super convenient and easy as well. The staff was so nice and helpful and helped us coordinate our trip to the ferry terminal. The dinner buffet was wonderful as well!
gothgrl (10/5): Excellent Family break in a spotlessly clean and friendly hotel. - I stayed at Agrabella for a week with my Mum and my 11-year-old daughter and we absolutely loved that place! Agrabella Hotel is located in the centre of Hersonissos so you can get to the lively promenade within minutes on foot however, it guarantees a quiet and relaxing break - it is not really a party place but a family-friendly venue (still, if you are after a bit of a party the bar is open until 5am, but the rooms are well soundproofed so you won’t disturb anyone). The hotel is modern, very clean (the cleaners work hard every day except Sunday) the rooms are spacious, with a balcony, TV, fridge, plenty of storage and Air-con. The bathroom must have been recently refurbished as it’s really nice, modern, comfortable and huge! On arrival you’ll get a large selection of shower gels, soaps, etc. There’s always hot water, and the shower has good pressure. We booked bed and breakfast and the breakfast was amazing - every day there was something different on offer and a lot of choice. Greek salad, Greek youghurt, local honey, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, sausages, bacon, beans, cheese, homemade jams and cakes - delicious! They try to cater for everyone’s taste. The breakfast lady - ever so friendly, always explained with a massive smile what’s on offer when it came to local Greek dishes. The pool - not too big but always clean and you could get a plenty of sun on the sunbeds (available for free). Wifi - free at the reception, lounge, bar and around the pool - worked great. The staff - every single person at Agrabella is totally customer-oriented, very helpful and ever so friendly. They make you feel at home and are a massive credit to that place. We’ll be back and couldn’t recommend this place highly enough.

Mani (6/5): The room was big but the staff wasn't friendly. - We had a big room with a big terrace and our overall experience was good but there were a couple of things that didn't work out that good. First of all, the staff was unfriendly except for 1 or 2 persons. Second, in general our room was good and big but when we had problems with our bathroom they weren't kind at all and didn't clean up the mess they made.
emirodrigue (8/5): simple mais bien placé - Nous avons séjourné 8jour dans une chambre standard qui était très bien, une petite armoir, avec 2 tiroirs, une coiffeuse (meuble avec miroirs,rangement et tabouret), un balcon avec table et chaise.et la salle de bain avec WC, ce qui est amplement suffisant et très correct pour le prix. Le petit déjeuné était toujours le même mais très variés sous forme de buffet, le repas du soir c'était plein de salade et crudité avec 4plat salé qui changeaient tout les jour. L' hôtel a une excellente situation a 2min du centre et tout commerce et a 5min de la plage. Pour nous cet hôtel était vraiment sympa nous avons passé de superbe vacances. Je conseil cet hôtel aux 20-30ans, qui ne cherche pas la grand luxe mais un petit hôtel simpa bien placé et pas trop cher
yes05 (6/5): Un peu déçu. - Nous sommes arrivé le mercredi en début de soirée. Le patron, un barbu d'une quarantaine d'année est très sympathique et disponible. Descriptif : Hôtel composé de 2 bâtiments. Nous étions au deuxième étage à côté de la route. Et la clim était en panne. De plus celle-ci est facturée 50 euros la semaine ou 10 euros par jours. Du coup, soit on crevait de chaud avec un peu de silence. Soit on ouvrait la fenêtre et était réveillé par les bus à 05h30 du matin. Les repas. : - les horaires : 08-09h30 le matin et 19h-20h le soir. C'est un peu tôt pour le soir, mais cela permet d'aller flâner en ville après. - Le menu : Petit dej sous forme de bffet : pain, beurre, 5 sortes de confiture, 3 sortes de céréales type choco-pops et fruits séchés. des fruits au sirop, du fromage blanc, de la féta, du jambon, des petits croissants. Boissons chaude en machine et "jus d'orange" type machine. Le diner : Buffet des entrés toujours pareil : tomate, concombre, poivrons, fêta, salade, choux rouge, bettraves, tzatziki. Les plats : différents tout les soirs mais reviennent dans la semaine : gyros, slakivis, poulet; spagghettis bolognaise, poisson Dessert : melon vert, pastèque et patisserie. Dans l'ensemble ce n'est pas mauvais, mais l'entrée est très répétitif et les plats peu variés. L'état général : petite piscine au centre de l'hotel à la vue de tout le monde et jouxtant la salle de restauration. Du coup, on ne s'est pas baigné. La chambre est spacieuse, la télé écran cathodique 36 cm. 7 chaînes, le première est une radio radio suisse type RFM . les autres sont en allemand, polonais, BBC, Vo sous titré en grec. La salle de bain : contient lavabo, sanitaire, baignoire et vmc qui rappelle un réacteur d'airbus qui est branchée avec la lumière. Petit bureau avec miroir et petit balcon avec table et chaises. Le frigo présent est en supplément : 3euros par jours. Localisation : pas évident à trouver du premier coup. au bout d'une ruelle avant et après le magasin "SPAR" supermarché sur 1 étages. juste à côté de la station service. pour info : le litre de super 95 occille sur l'île entre 1,89 et 1,99 euros le litre. Bilan général : Patron sympa, hôtel mal insonorisé, accessoire tous en supplément y compris et surtout la clim. La semaine à tourné à 35-40° à l'extérieur fin août. Hôtel passable pour une nuit ou deux mais à éviter pour une semaine.
