• Myrna (9/5): It was nice to be in a isolated area and listen to birds, roosters and just relax. - The property is a big house in a nice green area 30 minutes from Bilbao. The family that runs it are very nice and helpful. There is no air conditioner. This may be an issue when the weather gets hot. It was cool when we were there, so we even closed the window.
• Per (8/5): Unexpectedly rural. Nice and quiet. - Very rural and quiet. All you could hear were the hens. Very well-equipped common room. Power outlet in the room. Could only find one far from where it was needed for charging devices. Being rural, there were obviously no restaurants nearby. There was, however, one very nice restaurant within a short drive. GPS took us to a wrong place. Look for signs rather than the GPS!

If traveling by car this is a good home base to explore the southern portion of Basque County since everything is about a 1-1.5 hours away. I would have extended my stay here if my vacation wasn't over already.

• Aleta (10/5): Clean, cozy, relaxing, AND convenient - this place has it all! - The room was in great shape, it looked recently refurbished but still had a homey vibe and was very clean. The bed was nice and comfortable, with one firm pillow and one medium softness so you can choose which one you prefer. The location is in the Basque countryside and you can experience the peacefulness and scenery of the countryside, but there are a few restaurants very close, and it is an 8-minute drive to the closest town, 15 minutes to Bilbao Airport, and within 30 minutes to many sights along the coast. We could use the kitchen fridge, prepare food in the common space and eat in the dining area, which is great to save money or if you have a special diet, but the only cooking permitted was to use the microwave. It worked fine in the summer since I didn't want to eat hot foods anyway. It worked really well for me, but other travelers might want to know: the guest units are upstairs and there is no elevator so that might be difficult for someone with mobility challenges. Because it's in the countryside, there are chickens on the property next door, I frequently heard roosters crowing but the rooms are pretty soundproof so as long as my window was closed, it wasn't very loud.

• Michael a (10/5): Country comfort - Great place, much better than airport hotels for catching a flight, 10 easy minutes drive. Chambre very comfortable, good hot shower and nice big bed. Good wifi and plenty of parking.Welcome very friendly. Breakfast was great with fresh-squeezed orange juice. Was awakened by birdsong and enjoyed the green surroundings. Small town had several good restos. My wife was happy.

• ALFONSO (8/5): - El sitio es tranquilísimo y muy bonito. La casa es formidable y está todo muy bien organizado y con la debida separación, etc. Los caseros son espléndidos en el trato y el cuidado de todo, muy principalmente Begoña. El desayuno está muy bien; consiste en café, zumo de naranja recién exprimido, cereales, yogures, magdalenas, tostadas, jamón york, queso, fruta, y bizcocho o pequeños croissants. Se puede usar la cocina todo el día sin problema. El wifi va bastante bien. Los colchones son aceptables, aunque podrían mejorarse. La única pega es no tener aire acondicionado, pero no es un enclave en el que haga especial calor. En definitiva, es un excelente lugar para retirarse y descansar tranquilo. Está francamente bien, la verdad, y lo recomiendo.

• Michael (8/5): Bilbao visit - Stayed 2 nights, not far from airport although a bit tricky to find at night. Proprietor very helpful, speaks excellent English and will give details how to get there. Room and bed comfortable, shower OK. There is a lounge room for making tea/coffee, you can help your self and watch TV if you wish. Very quiet location, chairs and tables for sitting outside Evening meals best in Mungia, local restaurant only opens Friday and Saturday. Continental breakfast only - cereals, toast, cake.

• Melissa (10/5): Great, comfortable base for Bilbao - This is a wonderful place to stay if you're visiting Bilbao or the neighboring areas. It's close enough to the city for sightseeing, near grocery stores etc., but feels like you're out in the country. A wonderful family runs the hotel, and it is comfortable, clean, and lovely. Chickens and roosters add to the ambiance, but they're far enough away from the house that they don't disrupt the relaxing atmosphere. Great hospitality and comfortable bed, bathroom, etc.
• Ryan (10/5): - Good value for money. Easy access to Bilbao and the airport. Quiet, countryside setting with a town nearby. Nice kitchen and grill area which guests can us. It was pleasant. Would stay again.
• Petra (10/5): Great relaxed stay close to Bilbao Airport - The staff could not be more friendly and caring! The house is conveniently located close to Bilbao and the airport although the hustle and bustle feels far away in this lovely quiet village. The rooms are spacious and clean and offer a great value for money. If you'd like to relax and enjoy your own cooked meal, a large modern kitchen plus living room is at the guests disposal. Coffee and tea is freely available. To find this location might be a bit of a challenge, as the road to the house is a small bumpy one, but there are roadsigns leading you up there.
