Guest Reviews
- Patricia Gail (8/5): - My stay was pretty good. The bathroom needed an upgrade and/or painting.
- Dsanja (4/5): - Yeah, breakfast was out there, but it was sparse and it wasn’t hardly any of it because the staff of people from the outside come and eat it you can’t expect to have enough food when your homeboy are coming in making themselves a plate
- Jonathon (2/5): - Room was gross, had no hot water to shower. Couldn’t find anyone to check out the next morning
- Emma (2/5): - My family and I came to Mississippi for a funeral.
There weren’t many options for hotels in the area so we selected Quality Inn.
This turned out to be a terrible option.
The room didn’t smell good.
The bathroom was terrible. The first room I had I couldn’t turn on the shower and the bathtub was disgusting. The toilet was yellow stained as well.
Then they switched my room and it turns out all the bathtubs look this way.
The tub floor was brown stained and the plaster was bubbling up. I had to put a towel in the bathtub to stand on while I took my shower. I even asked housekeeping for disinfectant cleaner to clean the tub myself it was so nasty.
If I was able to get a room at another hotel I would’ve because this was terrible.
I really would like a refund because it’s no way I paid that much to stay at this hotel.
It was terrible
Never again
I felt like I was staying at an hourly stay motel.
Oh and let’s not forget the remote control for the tv didn’t work. And it was tapped up.
My cousins remote control didn’t work in her room either. We had to go to the cable box and manually change the channels.
Then with the continental breakfast they had a man who was in painter clothes bringing out the food.
Refund me please!!!!
- Shun (4/5): - The front desk staff was nice room wasn’t so good housekeepers didn’t give me clean towels garbage bags they was out toilet barely flushed only Stayed two outta three nights cause it was that bad couldve been cleaned better shower wall had cracks in it but front desk staff was very helpful
- Lisa (6/5): Options are important… - The elevator was out and we had only 1 set of towels in a double bed room. Only pork sausages served for breakfast. I don’t eat pork and would have liked some turkey sausage.
- David (10/5): - We highly recommend this hotel! Our room was clean, tidy, and spacious. Bed was comfortable and offered uninterrupted sleep, Bed and bath linens were clean and towels were fluffy. The breakfast bar offered a variety of hot and cold options with plenty of comfortable seating. The serving area was especially clean and well maintained. Vanessa was the front desk agent during our stay and she is a stellar employee. Her in-person and phone manner is exceptional. She offers assistance with courtesy, friendliness, and professionalism. She is among the best to have ever served us. We are more than satisfied with our experience at Quality Inn. Thank you very much!
- Michael (8/5): - For just one night in town it served our needs fine. Clean, quiet, and safe location
- teresahJ3405LL (6/5): Overall okay - Room was nice, although the bathroom had a portable handicapped bench that took up the entire shower. Nowhere really to put it but out in the room. The hotel is under construction and the men working on it slept in their work trucks. That wasn’t a problem but in the morning they came in and ate up all the breakfast, so there wasn't any left for hotel guests. The front desk person did grab some milks and cereal for us.
- latasha (2/5): - all rooms was nasty and unavailable
- coe2 (10/5): No complaints, Comfortable and Clean! - Service was awesome, bed comfortable, room clean and it was a great stay. No complaints at all!. It’s a great stay for the price. The area is safe and convenient to Delta State. After reading past reviews, I was reluctant to stay. Being a Choice member, we decided to give it a try and I’m glad we did.
- Bridget (6/5): Not the Quality Inn - The staff were friendly. But from the time I walked in and was told that the first floor of the hotel flooded I knew there was going to be a problem. When I got my alternate room, I could see it hadn’t been used for some time. The carpet had yellowing-brown and red stains. The mirrors were dirty. In the bathroom there were no towels. We had to ask for the refrigerator that was supposed to come with the room. We were told they were short on refrigerators, so they had to go to an empty room to get one from there. The manager of the hotel is also the maintenance guy. The so called hot breakfast, I wouldn’t even bother. If I were the owner I would take that off the advertisement. The elevator constantly smelt like marijuana and the phone was broken. This place really need some cleaning up.
- Lil7782TO (2/5): NO-QUALITY INN!! I Don't usually write reviews but HAD to this time!! Sooo disappointed!! - QUALITY is NOT what u get! Rooms should be $20, NOT $100! Smells BAD, dirty carpet/holes n sheets, broken bed leg, breakfast not complete: missing food! WHY charge a high rate for such POOR rooms!!!!!
- amywZ809RH (2/5): Terrible - Run away!! You will not be happy staying here. This place is 🤢 Gross! Dirty. Barely any breakfast. There is NO quality at this Quality Inn. Our son attends the University in town, so we come to town often. We will NEVER stay here again!! Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.
- 132calliej (4/5): Do not stay here. - I came here on a school trip. Check in was fine. The girls working at the desk were great. We went out to get luggage, we came to the side door it would not open with the key card. It looked like it was jammed at the top. I also heard another couple complain about the same problem.
Went to the front and went to our rooms. The kids said their door was already open and would not shut. The other kids had to lift up their door to close it. I told the front desk and the maintenance man came and he was able to fix one door and moved the other kids. That was fine. My door looked like an animal had chewed on it.
The next morning we go to breakfast and there’s nothing there and the fridge was locked. I told the front desk (different girls) and they said “well we didn’t know it was going to be a full house” I asked about the mini fridge and they said they had lost the key. They did not seem to care at all.
I went to the lobby to do out the other side door and it was open. Not propped but it was broken so anyone could come in the hotel.
My hair dryer didn’t work, AC unit did work but the wall thermostat didn’t, TV remote didn’t work. I could turn the tv on but not change the channel so I was stuck with MTV during our trip.
Bath tub had good pressure and heat but the tub didn’t have a drain stopper.
Next time I’ll spend a little bit more money so my kids would be in a safer hotel.
- cindyh81 (10/5): Safe, clean, comfortable - Welcomed nicely after transfering from an unacceptable hotel in Choice Hotels chain. Given lower rate of vacated reservation Even given a goody bag. Hotel was clean, comfortable and attractive. Felt safe with interior halkways.I would definitely stay again.
- LoveLeisureTravel (4/5): There won’t be a next time - We will never stay here again.
Have been coming to Cleveland Ms last three years for college sports events and the cleanliness keeps getting worse. This time, the 3rd floor reeked of marijuana all week long. Many guests complained when passing through the halls. One employee laugh and said “your floor is ‘lit’!” to a housekeeper in the presence of guests getting on the elevator. Our first day, House keeping came into our room, while we were gone, (Covid violation) took all of our towels, and left the door opened when they left. When we spoke to the front desk personnel, they said it was because they were out of towels and didn’t have enough for each room because they were at maximum capacity for the week. *So you take the only two sets we had??* Our room was very unclean. The carpets had not been vacuumed (never heard a vacuum the entire week of our stay) and the toilet was not cleaned after the last guest. Overhead light out in the bathroom and dirty mirror. Luckily, I had Clorox wipes in my car and cleaned the bathroom myself. We would have taken a loss and moved hotels, but everything was sold out. You can do so much better than this Choice Hotels!
- Shuker23 (2/5): Bed Bugs/ Used Condom under the bed - My stay at this hotel was horrible. My room had beds and roaches and I found a used condom under my bed disgusting. I notify the staffer he took picture and so did I. I still haven’t received my refund. Please be advise this place is slick nasty. I was accommodated with another room and it had underwear and socks behind the bed. If you decide to stay at this hotel, please do a very good inspection before you touch anything. Stay away from room 105..
- GrovelandFL (6/5): Comfortable room in Cleveland, Great employee. - Was taking trip along Highway 61 Blues Trail from Memphis to New Orleans and stopped for the night in Cleveland. I'd like to commend the lady tending the breakfast bar area, she was exceptional. She made breakfast an unexpected pleasurable experience.
Hotel in middle of town, easy trip to restaurants. Had a nice dinner at Papa Roc's Italian Grill.
- Courtnoo (8/5): Great staff, almost great room - First of all, I have to give kudos to the front desk staff, especially those that were working on the night when we had a tornado warning at 11pm. They made sure all the guests were safe and in the laundry room, and one woman in particular knew that I was from California and not used to that sort of thing, so she checked on me when the warning was over to make sure I was doing ok.
The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The air conditioner kept the room nice and cool. The room was serviced and clean every day. My only complaint was that pieces of paint from the ceiling were falling off throughout the room. I would come back to little white piles in some locations, particularly over the desk and near the bed. If this hadn't happened, the room would have been really great. I'm not sure if this is a problem throughout the hotel or just in the one room I was in.
- D_M_PENNY (8/5): Now it's Quality Inn - Good location on the north side of Cleveland. As I was there it was undergoing changes from Comfort Inn to Quality Inn- same hotel family though. All went well, staff friendly and helpful, though front desk should look up and see who comes and goes and greet.
- 501abnerc (10/5): James hutton - I enjoyed the service very much. Mr Hutton made sure I had extra toweksvas i requested and everything was easily accessible. I had new soaps and conditioners. Also breakfast was simple but warm. And the lobby well kept.
- GFK111 (8/5): Great value and location - For a reasonably priced downtown hotel I recommend this hotel. My friends and I like to walk so found the location very safe and convenient to restaurants and theatres. The free trolley also stops right across the street. The parking is also by far the cheapest at only $9.50/day. The buffet breakfast is very satisfactory offering scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, waffle maker and assortment of muffins, donuts and bread to toast. Beds and linens are quite comfortable Would definitely stay here again.
- tbain58 (4/5): my stay - Hotel in definite need of upgrade. Rooms spell musky upon arrival. Room was not cleaned due to having a small pomoranian dog in room. Was not informed that pet would have to be out of room in order to clean. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful.. Hotel would be great if upgrades were done. At the current status would not recommend this hotel.
- 32ashlyng (10/5): Great! - I originally came to Cleveland to be with my boyfriend but his dorm would not allow me to stay, so we were desperate in finding a hotel nearby. Comfort Inn originally told me they were booked but double checked and found a room which was very affordable. This is a great room for the price. Very clean, good breakfast, quiet, and very polite staff. My boyfriend was trying to hook his xbox up to the tv & one of the staff had to come and set it up since it was a hotel tv and she was very polite. Would definitely stay here again!
- 496lorettag (2/5): Bad - I will never ever stay at that hotel again we stay for 4 nights did not get service and by the way if you like pit bulls be my guest to stay there my daughter and my mother was both attacked by pitbull . I had asked about the Pitbull and they have been living there for 2 months it's somebody that works there is living up on the third floor two doors down where we were and all they could say is I'm sorry I won't let it happen again a pitbull.
- jasmineh876 (2/5): Don’t waste your time - The rooms were horrible!! The door looked as if someone had chewed on it. The walls were half painted and every piece of metal in the room was rusted. The carpet had an awful smell. The bed had hair in the sheets.🤮 I wanted to take pictures but the room made me itch. I had to leave ASAP. Although the rooms were awful, the two ladies that worked the front desk were very kind and understanding.
- moniesdaddy (6/5): Decent Stay - Hotel is an older hotel but it was fairly comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was the common selections. Walls were thin but the noise levels were bearable even though I’m a light sleeper.
- D2318SMrandyc (8/5): Clean, convenient but dated - Hotel lobby, eating area and room was very clean and comfortable. Hotel is older and the decir is dated, but in very good condition. The staff is very nice and helpful. Hotel is easy to access and close to restaurants.
- 322glennh (6/5): Way over priced ! - The building is30+ years old They have tried to update it, but, it's not working. It's a regular cookie cutter property. Old coil springs mattresses also. The freezer in fridge doesn't work and had standing water in it. The carpet around the window until was wet, and soaked my socks to the bone. I had just gotten out of the shower. Not good. I told the owner directly. His response,,," Oh Really?" The quality of the breakfast wasn't good either. The egg/cheese omelet wasn't completely cooked. Canadian bacon sitting in water was as tough as Charlie Chaplin's shoe he tried to eat. They charge $99 a night here. I guess they charge so much because they want you to stay at their other properties, the Hampton Inn or The holiday Inn express, just across the street for $20 more a night. Why not? They own them all in town you'll stay at anyway. Guess I just don't like being taken. So much for their "happy with your stay" rules !!
- Bobbie (8/5): - It was really nice. All the staff was ready to accommodate any of our needs. I would definitely recommend a stay at this hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very nice customer service especially Stephanie. Housekeeping was good also.
- Bobby (10/5): Visit to Cleveland ms - My stay at the comfort inn was a really nice and pleasant experience and I enjoyed being in a very clean hotel.
- James (6/5): Suited my needs - Since I just needed a place to sleep following a banquet, the room worked perfect. The staff was friendly and the room was clean,
- William (8/5): Pleasant stay, overall, in a great little town. - The telephone in the room didn't work, and the television reception and selection was extremely poor. But we didn't come to town to watch television, anyway. It would have been good to have a working telephone, in order to call the front desk, or to be alerted about severe weather during the night, had the need arisen.
- Russell G. (8/5): Good value. - Good value & friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Clean and spacious - The room was clean and spacious. If we are in the area we'll stay there again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel - The staff was very accommodating and kind. The breakfast was good, and I had a pleasant stay.
- Henry (10/5): Like home - The room was really nice I will tell anyone it a great stay
- Ms Las Vegas (10/5): Short Stay - The staff was very kind. The room was very comfortable, clean and cozy. The breakfast was delicious! Coming from Las Vegas, I didn't exspect to pay that much for a room in Mississippi. Nonetheless, they hotel stay was very nice.
- J (8/5): Nice hotel, close to the University - The staff was courteous and helpful. The hotel is centrally located aiding travel to all areas of the city.
- Melia (8/5): Southern Comfort - To be in a town with much of nothing, they were sweet, considerate and clean. I've stayed at hotels for much more with less satisfactory!
- Canuk123 (8/5): Nice hotel - There hotel was clean and the staff was helpful. I would stay here again.
- Verified traveler (4/5): College town hotel - Not many choices in Cleveland but I won't stay here again.
- Always Smiling (4/5): not good for the money - This hotel need a face lift. The entrance was blocked , the wall paper hanging. There are cracks in the walls hair in the sink and bath tub. It wasn't a good experience it want be a hotel I ever use again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Third choice - I will stay here when there are no rooms at the Hampton or Holiday Inn Express.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - very nice, clean hotel. friendly staff. i have no complaints.
- Eaten alive (2/5): Horrible - First Checked in to a room that was suppose to have been non smoking it smelt like an ashtray, it was brutal, there were even ashes still in the kitchenette sink. I had the front desk move me. Next room smelled fine but this is where the nightmare truly began. I was awoken in the middle of the night by itching, it turns out I was being eaten alive by Bed Bugs. I had a severe allergic reaction that required me going to an Urgent Care facility. I also had to destroy all of my clothing that I had with me to prevent the insects from spreading to my home. Don't go here.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great Choice! - My family and I came down/up for a family reunion and we chose to stay at the Comfort Inn. The prices were reasonable, the hotel was clean, centrally located, and the staff was very pleasant, coordial, and helpful. The children enjoyed the pool!
- TallDude (6/5): Nice stay - My only complaint is housekeeping came by at 7:30 am. Comfortable stay.
- Unhappy traveler 0987 (2/5): Horrible - This hotel was not clean, the staff was not friendly or helpful in any way. The check in was supposed to be at 3:00 and we were not able to get in the room until after 5pm. We drove 4 hours to get there and had nowhere to go for hours after arriving.
I would not recommend this hotel
- Unhappy traveler 0987 (2/5): Never going back - This hotel was not clean, the staff was not friendly or helpful in any way. The check in was supposed to be at 3:00 and we were not able to get in the room until after 5pm. We drove 4 hours to get there and had nowhere to go for hours after arriving.
I would not recommend this hotel even with the cheap price
- smason (8/5): Great for family getaway - I really had a great experience at teh hotel inwhich i stayed. Everyone was nice and eager to attend to my every whim. Can't wait to go back again next year
- Anonymous (8/5): Very Cool - only parking was not convienent
- Lisa (6/5): Satisfied - I found the overall price of the room expensive but I was satisfied with the hotel itself. Next, time I just open the pool is open.
- Anonymous (8/5): super nice! my pick from now on! - Rented this hotel because of good reviews. Im glad i did. It wad super nice! Big nice comfy beds. Clean shower. Nice Big tv. Fridge, coffee maker, iron and ironing board. Complimentary breakfast, waffle, bagels, grits, boidf eggs, toad and muffins. 100% satisfied!!
- Anonymous (8/5): comfort Inn - Very good, I woud stay there anytine.
- Need better internet connection (6/5): Location - Ask for non-smoking room, and was placed in a smoking room. no one was there at the front counter at check in for at lease 20mins.
- DSU Soccer Dad (6/5): No frills, decent place to stay - Nothing to get too excited about but it provided what I needed. My son plays soccer for DSU, so I make this trip quite often. Comfort Inn is about $25 cheaper per night than the Holiday Inn, and about $50 a night cheaper than the Hampton Inn. Econolodge is a dump, so I dont bother with them anymore. Comfort Inn had a nice, fairly clean and well maintained room, TV, air conditioning, refrigerator, and everything else you need to crash for the night. The front desk folks were DSU students and very cheerful and helpful. I switched my room from a king to a room with two beds...no problem. Breakfast bar was good: muffins, cereal, pastries, waffles, etc. How about some fruit and yogurt? But not complaining. And free wifi so I could keep up with whatever on the internet.
- Anonymous (6/5): okay for the price - Overnight stay.Hotel was a little rundown from previous visit.Side door to hotel was damaged and did not work.Room door was damaged and had to slam door to shut.
- Anonymous (8/5): First Visit to Cleveland, MS - Wonderful! Friendly and helpful staff. The only thing I would suggest, even though the swimming pool area was small, a table with an umbrella would have been nice to set under for some protection from the very hot heat in the afternoon since I don't swim.
- Lilmiss (2/5): "Not Impressed" - Horrible. Nothing more to say! Definitely not worth the money!
- Meagan (4/5): Not going back. - The overwhelming memory I have of my stay was the bath tub drain did not drain. We had to wait 30 minutes between showers. Along with that, in the hallway there was an undeniable odor of urine. At breakfast, the juice machine had ants.
- Anonymous (6/5): family getaway - staff was very and clean rooms
