Had outside chairs to sit under a roof if you want. The screen door was squeaky to open (Room #5)

- Ronald (10/5): -
- Ross (9/5): pretty good -
- Autumn (8/5): - Affordable, pleasant and clean
- JAMIE (10/5): - Rooms were simple but clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the firepit at night. Only a 5 minute drive to downtown and has a distillery next door. Will definitely stay here again when in Galena.
- Samantha (2/5): - Room was covered in black mold due to extremely moldy air conditioning. I will be requesting a refund as I did not stay in that room and moved to a different hotel.
- Heather (8/5): Low Cost, Clean Rooms - No-frills motel for a good price. Staff were friendly and rooms were clean. Bathroom was clean as well with newer shower surround.
- kathy (8/5): - under new management since staying here last. room wasn't as clean as previous stay(different room). outside area/pool was kept well.
- Sean (4/5): - Room smelled like either wet swimsuits or mold and never truly went away. Traffic noise from the highway made it hard to sleep.
- Joseph (10/5): - The room was clean & quaint and just what we needed. Very affordable & stay was enjoyable. We would definitely return again!!
- MARGARET RESNICK (8/5): - Check in was very easy, the young man at the front desk was very friendly. The firepit was a great way to spend time with friends at the end of the day. The room was a little dingy and one of the beds had what appeared to be sand in it.
- Alejandra (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay in Grant Hills Motel, very safe and relaxing place to stay for a weekend.
- Pam (10/5): - The property has been updated with an outdoor poor and fire pit. For a nights stay it was great. Refrigerator and microwave in the room. Small room but comfortable.
- Linda (10/5): - Love the firepit in the rear!
Rooms are small but clean! Stayed there several times!
- Nicole (4/5): Not for me but could be fine - I checked in and Ronny at the front desk was helpful and kind. The room was very nostalgic looking but once I saw the potential black mold on the lamp shades and the window that wasn’t fully closed I immediately didn’t want to stay.
The bed was also not comfortable and the walls are paper thin. I was there about 20 minutes and went to the desk and said I didn’t want to stay.
They did refund me quickly and there was no issue.
Sad I couldn’t stay - it’s super cute. Maybe my room was just the dud.
- Sheryl (10/5): Safe and comforting - I feel very comfortable here and the people are very friendly and helpful. The things they offer as a family stay is great. I have been here 2 times now and will stay there again on some upcoming trips with family and friends

- p (5/5): - Location was great, view was excellent, nostalgic feel of motel but thats where it ends. Our room had absolutely no hot water for showers in the evening or the next morning. The bed was unfortunately very uncomfortable and bedding had stains all over.
- john (8/5): - Clean room
- Kari (8/5): Great place to lay your head. - Basic motel room. No frills.
- brian (6/5): - not the cleanest
- Jan (8/5): Room was very clean - Room was very clean; campfire at rear of motel; close to town Outdated decor; no coffee pot in unit
- DENA (10/5): We will be back again! - Everything! Location. Very clean and comfortable. Everyone I met was very nice Nothing
- Arselia (2/5): - I did not like anything about this property. Staff that we had to call for service to begin. insisted that I need to pay again when I had the receipt in my hands. Beds are awful and super uncomfortable, Web sight said I had a mountain view, I look out the window and saw trees from the ground to the sky. Please show me where in Illinois is there a mountain? I have lived here all my life and do not know of mountains in the flat lands. Web sight said that I had a queen bed, it was a Full size bed. Very upsetting.
- Jerry (10/5): - Room was clean neat and comfortable. Nothing fancy but a great value for the location.
- Ricky (8/5): -
- Rhonda (7/5): Take your own coffee pot - Beds were comfortable. Close to everything. Nice pool No coffee in Room! Lobby doesn't start coffee until 7am. I'm an early riser and must have coffee. Mostly clean except small things, corners of floors. The towel rod in bathroom was missing .
- Scott (10/5): - It was nice and close to Main Street! Will come back again!
- Tonya (8/5): - It was a last minute trip and we were looking for a cheap stay. For the price it was a very nice place and made for a nice weekend trip.
- Ryan (8/5): - It was fine
- Hilda (8/5): - Motel is clean, manager & staff are very welcoming and can’t beat the location. Rooms are ok esp since we don’t spend much time in the room while sightseeing anyways, but could use an update. Would stay here again.
- Linda (10/5): - Surprised it
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room was small but very adequate. Clean and comfy. TV, small refrigerator, microwave. Traveled with my dogs. Large grass area for walking. Rooms are on ground floor with door to outside. Very convenient.
- Alfredo (8/5): - The walls are dirty. More fire pits. We had to wait all night for the one.
- Kathleen (4/5): - Old motel but you get what you pay for with a low price. Pet friendly & that’s we stayed here. Great outdoor space on the backside of the motel.
- PAUL (10/5): Staff was very friendly and helpful. I had a great stay, it’s exactly as described. - Location was great, just outside of town.
- Leona (10/5): - The outdoor pool was great
- David (8/5): - Location
- Melissa (10/5): - Dog friendly
- Patricia (10/5): - Pool was great
- Amber (10/5): - Wasn’t expecting a motel to be so nice
- Wendy (10/5): Great place to stay - I would definitely recommend this place. The staff was friendly and the the room was clean. The pool was open into the evening. Pool floats were also available to use. I will definitely stay again when traveling to Galena.
- McDonald (8/5): -
- Cruz (7/5): - The new owners are doing their best with keeping up with the previous owners policies and care of their customers. They need to invest in new mattresses as they were not very comfortable and it's been this way since I first stayed on the property.
- JOHN (6/5): - rather old and small for the price
- Peter (4/5): A great location but not a healthy environment. - Good location for our planned trip to Galena. Bedbugs. Unfortunately this hotel did not thoroughly clean the sheets and bedding to prevent bedbugs from infesting on the beds. I cannot imagine anyone sleeping there knowing that they could have bedbugs on them during the night.
- david (4/5): They new to the business - Checked in early with the friend for a day and Galina returned to the room about 10 o’clock about that time we noticed bedbugs on both beds contacted management and we checked out with a refund due to the fact that we couldn’t stay at the property
- Suki (6/5): - The location is nice, and the staff was very friendly. However, the condition of the room could be improved.
- Richard (8/5): Convenient - Bed was fine. Wished i had brought my own pillows.
- Catherine (8/5): - Perfect room for my family of 6
- Molitor (7/5): Good -
- Jean (7/5): Stay was good had a great time. - Great location.
Didn't do breakfast there. Could an update.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Super clean, quick check in. Comfortable beds. The town has so many bars, shops, restaurants. Would return!
- Beverly (6/5): - No room in the bathroom to set out anything. Room was smaller than I expected for the price. No desk or space to put anything.
- Anette (10/5): Value for your money - Perfect for our drive thru in Galena.
- Joseph (8/5): Very good -
- Mstthew (10/5): - Quick overnight stay with friends! Hotel was very clean and staff was very nice would defiantly stay again
- Humberto (9/5): Superb -
- Wendy (10/5): - It's always clean and quiet. I love having picnic areas with grills and a fire pit. Just a really nice place to stay and literally minutes from downtown
- Janet (10/5): - Have not stayed for a few years but was not disappointed with the current owners. Pool was nice and warm and clean just like the room
- Gabriel (10/5): - The bathroom was ok, after took a shower, the water was stuck in the tub, not going down, but slowly went all out, the rest was clean 👍
- Sandy (10/5): - I really liked the back yard landscaping ie; fire pit setup. 2 gazebos with 2 outdoor grills each very spacious . I noticed that the pool however was very small . I didnt like being charged double due to an event in the area, especially since the MAIN EVENT didnt even occur due to little wind. GREAT GALENA BALLOON FEST / RACE/ GLOW ?????
- Michael (6/5): - The room was clean. Had everything they advertised. This is an older model, so keep that in mind. Room was on the back side, very quiet. Air conditioning just barely adequate for the room, although it was very hot, in the upper 90s. Bathroom very small, but it had a good shower. Overall, this place was OK. Price was very reasonable compared to the other places in the area.
- Brent (6/5): - The beds were absolutely uncomfortable and we had a Hard Time Sleeping
- Luanne (10/5): - friendly staff, helpful, pool accommodations were great ,
- Greta (10/5): - Friendly.
- Cindy (8/5): - Clean, close to restaurants.
- Ash (10/5): - This was more than I was expecting for a roadside motel! Excellent, friendly service, clean and quiet rooms and facilities, and they accomodated an extra early check in. I would definitely stay here again!
- Kimberly (10/5): - Inexpensive, convenient, clean.
- Ken (2/5): - The room was hot and musty. The sheets were gross, as if they were dirty and sweaty. They charged us a pet fee but never told us there was one. Avoid this property.
- Maureen (10/5): - Clean
- Elisa (6/5): - It was clean and close to town. The beds were not very comfortable. But for the price and one night it works.
