- Louise (10/5): Perfect for an overnight stay to see the local area - Found it exactly as expected based on the descriptions provided.
Great beachfront location.
Easy parking.
Friendly welcome, and local knowledge.
Room very clean and well presented.

- Michelle (8/5): Nice short break - Very welcoming and helpful and friendly staff, very clean and comfortable and we will definitely be returning again The atmosphere was very good a nice stay and close to all attractions
- tina (8/5): - Staff were very friendly and helpful
- 1970justme (10/5): Brilliant stay - My friend and i have been coming here over 15 years,
It's been upgraded to a high standard since the new owners took over,
Absolutely beautiful room,
Staff are so friendly and helpful from the owners to the house keeping ladies.
I'd recommend staying here to anyone

- Kirk (10/5): Excellent service - We have had 2 short breaks at this hotel. Each time was just perfect. I would highly recommend .
- Sara (10/5): Excellent - Clean, friendly owners N/A
- Pamela (8/5): Lovely seaview for a short stay. - Lovely view of the seafront, bed was comfortable and the room temperature was just right. Handy to have a fridge downstairs for milk for my breakfast.
Host was friendly and welcoming. The constant “please shut this door” message every time you go in was annoying, especially as there were also about 3 signs saying the same.
Stairs up to the rooms are quite narrow and steep.
- Maxine (10/5): Excellent place to stay -
- karen (8/5): Very good , decent sea view only stayed one due to a personal emergency. Otherwise decent clean room with great sea view - Sea front and near town
- Nigel (8/5): -
- Conway (7/5): - It was central, clean and owners were friendly. So many steps - from the first door, no good for anybody with mobility challenges. No warnings - just stairs - not customer friendly!
- Laura (10/5): The perfect hotel! - The room was very clean, spacious and had lovely decor. The location of the room was perfect as we had a little communal seating area where we could watch the sunset.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming
The location of the hotel is great with wonderful views and very close to the beach. Nothing, it was perfect! Thank you.
- sian (9/5): -
- Alex (10/5): Looking forward to returning - Lovely owners, very accommodating. I am returning in the summer with my family. Nothing
- V3710FDdebw (10/5): fantastic place - fantastic place to stay friendly, clean and relaxed atmosphere right on the sea front
- Q5798TWleec (10/5): Best in Burnham - A regular visitor here. When my family and friends come they always choose this hotel too. Friendly owner, clean rooms situated in front of the beach. What more could you ask for? 5 stars.
- colin (9/5): Good get-away location. - Perfect location on the front right near the pier. Lovely hosts, private parking. Nice quirky room and there is a seated viewing area for rooms 9 and 10 overlooking the sea. Plenty of places to eat and drink nearby and the guide given by the host is excellent. All fine.
- nigeld737 (10/5): Hotel on the Front - Stayed here for work . Rooms are very clean and warm. Parking out front and hotel is in the centre of town ... Pubs and restaurants in 5 mins walk. Location was perfect. Hosts very helpful.
- Richard (8/5): Very happy with all that we received! - Very welcoming, rooms and en-suite were spotless and met with our needs. Also did me a great favour after an incident with the loss of our car keys. Also very accommodating when we wanted to extend our stay! Nothing at all. My only advice would be to ensure it meets with what you’re expecting…for us it did perfectly!!
- John (8/5): - The room was neat and tidy No bar and snack machine empty
- gary (9/5): The family suite was perfect for us, plenty of room, really clean and comfortable. -

- Veronica Ruston (9/5): 5* very comfortable bed, pillows & a lovely room with en-suite. - Lovely well decorated, clean & warm room & Hotel. Very well Managed. We have been encourag to stay again with Discounts by booking direct via their Website. Thankyou for a very nice enjoyable stay. Only downside is the time to leave being by 10am but maybe we could negotiate that next time :)
- W5920PTadamf (2/5): Terrible staff member - My brother booked us in here, the guy that was checking him in turned up, afyer being stood waiting for ten minutes he was what appeared to be high. He stunk of cannabis, and upon my non smoking brother questioning this, the guy refused them to stay and accused them of being the reason for the smell. He then refused to refund them so they could book another hotel and sent them packing.
This is by far the worst show of customer service i have ever heard of where my family is concerned. The guys attitude was terrible, swearing and shouting after simply being asked about the smell from himself.
This may not have affected the hotel materially but one member of a team can bring the whole thing down. And that man, will end up doing so.
- fitziio (5/5): comfortable night but overpriced - location was excellent for everything. very quiet Not a pleasant smell as you enter the building. Sink in the bathroom was too small, very noisy flush in the bathroom
- Aaron (2/5): - Bed was so uncomfortable and room was really hot, bedroom window opened onto public veranda so was unable to even open the window
- Lee (10/5): -
- martin (5/5): Adequate - No breakfast £110, for a glorified hostel
- lowdon (9/5): Beautiful location and room was big enough, the bed and pillows were very comfortable - There was no option for breakfast Option to have breakfast
- Darren (8/5): -
- ANN (9/5): it meet with all my requirements for an overnight stay. - bedroom and shower room spotlessly clean.
room cosy and warm.
tea/ coffee facilities available.
- Carly (10/5): Highly recommended! - Absolutely everything! Couldn’t fault it, will be back next summer.
- Roberto (8/5): -
- MR. NOEL (10/5): - The owner is friendly, trustworthy and considerable.
- darrell (9/5): very good - everything nothing
- kissman (10/5): -
- Elaine (8/5): - Rooms were spotless and wverything in them that you could need , seaview was a bonus Gent on reception not pleasant, very non people person, didnt see anyone else, also no breakfast service on offer
- James (7/5): Ok - Convenient Bedding not very good as quilt too small
- Steven (8/5): Lovely seaside english town, great local fish n chips. - Excellent location, right on sea front, excellent host providing plenty of information. Lol, good luck getting a coffee anytime before lunch.....or felt that way....all the local coffee shops still in bed at 9am... Mind you same can be said for rest of UK on my trip...
- Helen (10/5): Enjoyed our overnight stay at The Royal Clarence - We had a lovely welcome from the owner ,who was very informative and have us a map of the local area, great location and car parking
- Freckleton (9/5): -
- sandra (10/5): - We are moving down to the area
- lisa (8/5): - Great location ,room was really clean
- Kaina (5/5): - Friendly, Location, cleanliness, It states sea view
Had to keep curtains closed because of the public balcony and table and chairs outside our window,
Not private should have been half the price .
- Carol (8/5): Happy customer - Plenty of room, good cleanliness, tv working, key working, good value All was good
- Janet (10/5): Great Family Run Hotel - The owners and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and the hotel was very quiet at night. It was an amazing position for early morning walks on the beach. Would definitely stay again.
- Patrick (10/5): - I used the hotel as a nearby option while playing golf at Burham & Berrow GC. The owner/manager gave great tips for local businesses and dining. The room was quite comfortable.
- Mcardle (8/5): -
- Paul (10/5): - Location Bed was bit small and hard for us tbh
- Katrina (5/5): Perfectly adequate, but very basic. - Really good location, friendly staff, scrupulously clean. No parking, general areas quite shabby, no water glasses. Too much Febreeze.
- Edah Precious (9/5): - The hotel was clean and tidy. Staff were really helpful and accommodating. The room were comfortable. The area of the hotel was in the centre, accessible to everything. My friends and I were quite happy.
- Rose (8/5): I would definitely stay again but would bring a torch with me. - Great view of sea front. Very quiet. Room very clean and comfortable. As a lady of 78 on my own I found the lighting on the stairs inadequate especially leaving room 23. The stair light did not come on soon enough to cover the first step.which was only one step from my room. I had to go very carefully guessing where the first step was.
The bedside lamp had a black shades against a dark blue wall which made reading impossible from bed.
- steven (10/5): - Everything was good with this hotel no bar
Great room and liked the seating area outside room No bar
Pubs were close
- Clare (10/5): A lovely little find, would definitely stay again! - Clean and lovely rooms Funny noises when using shower and toilet
- Stephen (10/5): - Excellent place very clean room lady on reception very helpfull
- Steve (9/5): - Great service, lovely cosy place nothing
- Lynne (2/5): -
- Cruiser68392137907 (10/5): Good room - Very good room. Very slight housekeeping issues back splash in the shower had quite a lot of previous soap splashes on it and a small amount of mould. The double bed was on the small side. None of it was a big issue for us. Definitely would have liked a bigger bed ( probably my mistake not checking) can't complain about the hotel at all really. The problem we had was the general area nothing to do really ( not the hotel's fault) we found the local people in a certain pub very aggressive. Definitely not welcoming. This is why we only spent 1 of our 2 nights.
- Tina (8/5): - Overall a good stay.
Toilet seat needs looking at as it moves, kettle wasn't clean with a layer of dust on its lid, but luckily the hotel is close to cafes to get my morning cuppa.
- paul (8/5): - Location on sea front, nice clean hotel All was good
- Helen (3/5): Nice and clean .. nice chatty host however room was not suitable and certainly not worth the cost - Good location however the view from our room was a veranda that people sat in especially late at night with a take away I had to ask one couple to keep the noise down.
I asked for a sea view and was informed when we got there I didn’t qualify as I had only booked a standard room even though it cost us nearly 250 for 2 nights
Very disappointed A note saying silence after a certain time may have helped
When I booked the room I was told I had got a sea view the truth would have helped so my expectations were met
- James (8/5): -
- Lavinia (8/5): - We found all we need , when travelling with kids anyway you come prepaired. There was a fridge out room , microwave on entrance and hair dryer, kettle in room . It has been clean , has a nice room, and definitely will return . Because of comforted to say it was great to have a breakfast in .
- Clarke (7/5): - Bed was too small for a couple
- Shelly (9/5): - Very clean and a great location The toilet wasn't flushing to good from when we arrived
- Fearns (10/5): -
- kissman (8/5): - The room was clean and everything we needed was there. The bathroom was excellent, clean and the mirror was awesome All was great so nothing we didn't like.
- Rita (8/5): Enjoyable but expensive we paid £450 for two rooms as we were two adults and two children - Clean Friendly helpful staff
- Katarzyna Justyna (4/5): It wasn’t worth the money I paid for the room. - The location was perfect and really close to all amenities. The room was nice and clean, but the mattress wasn’t comfortable and the bathroom fan just wouldn’t turn off. Eventually it did at 1 am. It really affected my sleep as it was a constant noise.
- nicholas (10/5): Lovely - Clean and fresh Nothing
- tracey (9/5): - Excellent location Nothink to dislike
- John (10/5): Overnight stay in burnham - Everything it was very clean and comfortable lovely view of the sea the owners were very friendly and helpful full told us the best places to eat and allowed us to park our car well before we booked in can't fault it will return Nothing to diss like all perfect for a nice run family hotel
- Stevie (1/5): -
- Gary (8/5): Seafront hotel - convenient and clean - The room was clean, and had what we needed for our one-night stay. The location on the seafront was great, and I appreciated being able to park right outside of it. No breakfast at the hotel, but a limited few options very nearby that was good for us. The room and bathroom were a little small, and it didn't face the sea (we knew that at booking though). There was a table and chairs in the room, which could have been replaced with more storage or simply more space.
- Edwina (8/5): - Great location We had a lovely stay, only small thing is windows don't open very wide so room was extremely hot
- Biffo (10/5): Highly recommendcthis hotel. - Very comfortable and very clean. Location was excellent. Would highly recommend this hotel.👏 Nothing, our stay exceeded expectations.👍
- Jane (7/5): -
- Magdalena (5/5): -
- Jacqueline (8/5): - The view, the staff, cleanliness. Location. Hand soap and shower gel supplied. It would be nice to have a mini fridge, it was quite hot whilst we were there, not having cold drinks in our room was a bit inconvenient! There was a communal fridge but I prefer not to share!; Our bathroom in the morning of our last day the sink was quite smelly!
- Geraldine (10/5): - We had Apartment and we were comfortable, perfect for our requirements. We had to park on seafront with payment meter as car park was full.
- MERCIA (7/5): - Location . Room. Lay out Beds not so comfortable
- Richard (8/5): Would stay again despite comment - Almost everything No table in room for my computer
- Janice (10/5): Excellent, would definitely recommend it to others and would stay again if in the area. - Beautifully clean, excellent room with a sea view. Loved that we didn’t feel obliged to eat there so could choose anywhere in town. Staff were very friendly and very helpful. All was great, even had two fans in the room as it was summer.
- Barlow (4/5): - Outlook from front of hotel was good. Unfortunately we faced the shabby back. Cleanliness was not an issue. Too hot, no air con. View from room was not good. Hotel room was overpriced. Breakfast not available.
- Debbie (8/5): Seafront location - Room was pleasant, was ok for a couple of nights. Right on the sea front, owner friendly. It was nice to have somewhere to eat our takeaway. Room very warm though a fan had been left in the room, just a bit noisy for sleeping
- Clifford (9/5): -
- Geoff (1/5): I didn’t stay - I booked on line and paid. Arrived an hour later with a very poorly partner who I had to return home.
I arrived and explained the situation asking for some consideration to be given to a refund or part repayment. A flat no was the reply. I understand that he had no reason to repay and said so, but a little more sympathy would have helped.
When I got outside I looked back and appreciated the situation, but was glad I didn’t stay, as on reflection it looked tired. The attitude of the reception manager.
