Even though the issue was on their side, they didn’t offer any solution or alternative accommodation. As a result, I was left searching for another hotel in the middle of the night. Thankfully, the staff at the Super 8 across the street were very helpful, and their payment system worked without any issues.

- Dusty (1/5): - I liked that I was able to cancel and be out of there within the hour. Lady at the front was understanding. Kudo's to her. I didn't like the smells in the main lobby, or on our floor. The room seemed ok. Nothing great though.
- Kathryn (1/5): - The front desk attendant was very nice There are bugs in the pool and no one seemed to care. Weird smell coming from a couple of rooms. Dingy not great for families. We checked out 30 min after checking in

- Debbie (7/5): - The breakfast was delicious! The rooms were a great size We couldn't go swimming with our kids because the temperature in the building was to cold for all of us. We were all shivering. The waitress in the restaurant could have been a bit more friendly.

- Lynn (8/5): - The room and facility was clean and the staff friendly and helpful. Picked the hotel for closeness and the pool/hotub. The room was about 15 degrees and the pool colder. The hotub was shut down. Should have been on the website. I swam in the highwood when it was warmer.

- Audra (8/5): -
- Freddie (10/5): Comfortable - Nice ambiance and cozy vibes!
- Carly (1/5): Not worth the price, pay a little more and stay at the other hotels. - The staff were friendly and helpful The first room we went into was obviously not cleaned. Beds were clearly slept in. The second room reeked of cigarette smoke. The third room was fine but it didn't have a kettle for coffee or anything and I needed boiling water.
- Joanne (5/5): -
- Leonard (9/5): -
- Brenda (9/5): Great. - The front desk staff member was exceptional. No ice machine.
- Theresa (4/5): - Would not recommend staying here if you have the money to spare. Picked this hotel because it was cheaper and it said online that it offered a breakfast buffet and that there was a restaurant/bar in the building. What they fail to mention is the restaurant is only open from 7am - 9pm so we could not utilize it as we left early and got in late.
Also no breakfast buffet (unlike what was advertised). Breakfast was in the restaurant and they provided a voucher for a free breakfast for only 1 morning of our stay and it said it only applied for 1 person out of the room. Beds were comfortable enough but floors were dirty and there were red feathers on our room carpet on arrival which did not give me much confidence the carpet had even been vacuumed.
The only good thing I have to say was the parking lot is big so if you have a trailer of some kind (utility/stock) there is plenty of room to park.
In my opinion spend the few extra dollars and stay somewhere else.
- Brenda (8/5): Wish there was an ice machine. - Great breakfast and spacious room.
- Judy (8/5): -
- Kirby (8/5): - Location close to downtown
- sheila (7/5): We came for the hot air balloon fest and had a great time. - Restaurant was great. The room was adequate. The room was a bit smoky and musty. Like the carpets and paint haven’t been updated since smoking was allowed in hotels.
- Cheryl (6/5): - Property does not have elevator or escalator to second floor. This was problematic for mobility limited guest. They would not move us to ground floor despite our early arrival.
- Helena (10/5): - Despite of Hot Air Balloon festivities that weekend, it was quiet at night. Very clean room and had all what i needed for one night.
- Michele (10/5): - Quiet. Clean. Friendly staff.
- Felicity (10/5): Nice place - Polite staff. Nice restaraunt.
- Brad (10/5): - stayed for a wedding my only complain was NO hottub working
- Albert (10/5): - I found it to be very good value for what you get. I would definitely stay here again.
- Ksenia (3/5): -
- Kimberly (10/5): - All in all, the hotel is decent. We were really looking forward to a jacuzzi but it was out of order. That was hugely disappointing. I wish we would’ve known this before booking.
- Reynald (8/5): - Highly recommended
- R Diana (6/5): - Food was not great at all.esp. breakfast. Outside hotel very shabby looking. Big room but little lighting .No coffee pot .No hair dryer. Asked for hair dryer said not allowed.?????? Comfy bed.
Would not stay there again.
- Kelly (4/5): - The wait staff in the bar and restaurant. Carpet, bed runner were stained. Tub, faucet knob had short hair stuck & were rather grubby looking. The ceiling over the sink had some sort of splatter. Hot water would fluctuate, not sure if there was an issue with that? Where the hairdryer would have been was a big rip mark on the wall.
- Anthony K (6/5): - Had and old smoke smell
- Shelly (5/5): - Bathroom a bit run down….
- john (6/5): - The hotel and my stay was average but the coffee/breakfast and staff were all fabulous.
- Glen (8/5): - Meals excellent! Service mostly perfect with the single exception! Absolutely no room service! I notified staff when I picked up towels from desk!
Still no room service!
The room key kept malfunctioning! Annoying for sure!
Value for room was realistically priced
- Paul Bryan (7/5): -
- Glenn (10/5): -
- Sada (6/5): - Rooms are pretty dated . Pet rooms need a good carpet cleaning . Very strange there is no ice buckets in room or ice machine for people to use.
Window in room looked in to pool area. So no way to get any fresh air .
- garnet (8/5): - Expensive
- Johanne (10/5): Good Location - The best thing about staying here is location. Everything with the room was just fine.
- Norman (7/5): - The staff were pleasant and helpful. The bed was comfortable. There wasn't enough lighting in the room.
- BobbeJo (10/5): - The only thing that was missing was there was not I coffee machine in the room and paper and pan
- Norman (8/5): - The breakfast was a real bonus. Excellently prepared. It was a great send-off for the day.
- suzan (9/5): Will stay at the hotel again but eat elsewhere - Dog friendly room. Made bringing along our pup a pleasure. Front end staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was disappointing. The one waitress on duty was not pleasant and rather abrupt. Having to wait for a cup to be put through the dishwasher and the coffee needing to be made before she could provide us coffee was not acceptable. The buffet food was sparse and cold. We were not able to order from the menu told hotel guests were only allowed the buffet. Restaurant servicehotel needs to be improved.
- Tanya (8/5): - This hotel in fine. But for nearly $200 a night. I expect certain details to be tended to. The bathroom sink tap is so old and worn out thar it cannot be cleaned properly. Also, theres a lack of attention to detail. Like in our room, there was a flat screen TV sitting on a dresser, but there was also a flatscreen mount fixture hanging on the wall above it. A simple efdort could have been made to remove the flatscreen mount and plug the holes or even cover the wall damage with wall art. The room itself was clean enough, but the hallways smelled of stale cigarette (even though the rooms are nonsmoking) and there were many stains on the hallways rugs. The floating ceiling had a ton of damage and it was covered in sagging plastic. It didn't seem like they were in the middle of fixing it. It just looked like this was their solution to a real problem. So very run down overall. Again, I expect more once I am paying a certain price.
- Mark (10/5): - Big clean rooms, comfy bed, and breakfast buffet.
- Verified traveler (6/5): mixed feelings - I was disappointed that the pool was not available for early morning due to being surrounded by rooms. It was nice of the front desk person to allow me to access the pool early but I did not want to make noise, the hot tub was broken and the pool freezing. The drain in the tub was rusty. But the room was comfortable and staff was great.
- Kendra (2/5): - Looks like an abandoned vehicle in back parking of hotel full of garbage that's been there for over a month. Drunk people in the parking lot being loud and fighting, room was a hike to get to... with no elevator. Staff was unaccommodating.. considering the last time i was there it was not good as well. Very disappointed... not worth the money.
- Beatrice (6/5): - Ok
- Janine (6/5): - We were met by a wonderful front desk attendant who checked us in. When we asked about the continental breakfast that was included in our fee, we were told, that because the next day was a holiday, the restaurant would be closed. The room was clean, and the bed was reasonably comfortable; however, several things in the bathroom could use an update: the door didnt fit in the jamb, so didn't close properly; there was questionable staining on the bathroom ceiling; and the door hinges and towel rack had rust spots. When we checked out, we had to ask for a discount, as compensation for no breakfast, which the desk clerk gave us....nothing would have been done, if we didn't ask.
- Braelene (2/5): - The cleaning staff started vaccuming/cleaning the room next to me at 8am. I asked the front desk to please stop, they did not. The hotel was not busy, I did not understand why they couldnt wait till 11am before waking me on my one day where I could sleep in. They continued vaccuming that room with the door open as well as the hallway. The shower curtains were not waterproof as well and the bathroom filled with water post shower. Additionally, the water pressure in the shower almost blasted me to Nova Scotia. Tons of water stains everywhere. Would not recommend if you want a shower or a sleep in or even respect when you ask the front staff to accommodate.
- ALDIN (6/5): - Need more amenities and earlier breakfast timw
- Cindy (10/5): - Older facility but clean and friendly staff
- arthur wm (4/5): - Contains a dining room and bar. BUT dining room closed each evening when needed.
Staff OK but unable or unwilling to put us in a room closer to the facilities. We were at the end of the hotel next to the pool and no outside window.
I am 90 so this was strong negative.
Do not plan to return.
- G (4/5): - We checked in earlier (they couldn't figure out what they were supposed to charge us until the next morning)but arrived to sleep at 3am and at 830am housekeeping was knocking on our door to clean the room?!!? Were planning on showering at around 930am but shower drain was mostly plugged so showered anyway. This used to be the place to stay in High River but definitely now needs some TLC. Would stay elsewhere next time if in the area.
- Brent (7/5): -
- Kristina Bardová (6/5): -
- Douglas (6/5): - A 2 star average hotel
- Andrew David (4/5): Avoid. Dint stay there. - Room was clean and location was good The hot tub was broken, the pool was freezing cold. The restaurant closed because the host was “sick” and said she was going home. How can you have an advertised restaurant that closes - with few other options because 1 person is “sick”
- Mandy (7/5): -
- ivonne (8/5): - Premises are very old! But staff is great!
