No coffee maker No coffee after 7 am in the lobby. You want a coffee before you shave and you can't get it. The video with strange sounds in the elevator is fine for one day and then it gets on your nerves.

We enjoyed a nice breakfast and the rooftop club had great views. The room lacked finesse and attention to detail. rumpled carpet. sloppy paint job in toilet closet. The room felt oddly dated and run down. the personnel on rooftop bar were full of attitude and totally aloof.

We hosted ~200 people for a ceremony followed by a large reception in BOOM. The event was a major production with lots of moving parts, and the events team was SO on it and so caring throughout. Major shout out to Yulian, Courtney, and Ingrid for being so amazing. And a big thanks to Christian Morel and the guest experience team for making sure our couple and their family felt extra taken care of all week leading up to the event. Michael brought our luggage to our room and was friendly and offered additional help with anything. Romell was very helpful with our bags when we were checking out. And we left very early on Saturday and no cabs were outside but David was able to get us a cab. Overall the staff exceeded our expectations -- my wife became ill on our trip and each morning I came down early (prior to the Standard Grill opening) and were able to get us honey for my wife's tea which was very helpful with her sore throat. We stayed for 3 nights and had dinner once at the Standard Grill, breakfast everyday and lunch one day. The french fries are the best we've ever had! The amenities, location and professionalism of the staff will definitely make The Standard our go to hotel when visiting NYC.
- gajooge (10/5): Great Views, Perfect Globalist Perks, and Five-Star Service from Alexis - I recently stayed for 2 nights at The Standard, High Line. I had been really looking forward to this trip, as it was my first time staying here since the hotel joined the World of Hyatt program, and it exceeded my expectations. The room itself was perfect, particularly the stunning floor-to-ceiling windows that offer such a great view and vibe. What truly stood out, however, was how perfectly they handled World of Hyatt Globalist benefits. The Globalist breakfast offering is great, and I loved the fun little extra touches during my stay, like the free fries. I also want to specifically highlight their respect for the 4pm late checkout. Unlike many other properties where housekeeping still knocks on your door or your keycard magically stops working at noon despite having late checkout confirmed, I was completely undisturbed until exactly 4pm. It was so refreshing to actually get to relax and use the benefit as intended. Finally, the absolute highlight of the trip was the exceptional service from Alexis at the front desk. She was incredibly thoughtful, expressed a genuine interest in making sure I had a great stay, and was deeply familiar with all the Globalist perks. Her attention to detail made the entire experience effortless.

Since my room wasn’t ready when I arrived, I was delighted with a F&B credit, which was a nice surprise. I also appreciated getting a text once the room was ready, which made the whole process smooth. The Deluxe King room itself was comfortable, with a good bed and a functional workspace. I also liked that there was an umbrella in the room. One of the days I was there it rained all day, so that was a nice touch. The bench seating could be improved as the cushion felt a bit flat, and the lights above the bed were not working properly. Dinner one night at The Standard Grill was a weaker point. Service was slow and the server seemed unengaged, which took away from the experience.

Easy access to the High Line, Hudson River trails and Chelsea Market. 10 minute walk from the nearest subway stop at 14 St. Comfortable beds and decent views if you are on a high floor. Very dark lobbies and corridors in need of a refresh. The showers offer zero privacy with a huge window on one side and no door on the other causing water to get all over the bathroom floor. No coffee machine in the guest rooms.

It does get loud on the weekend at night, we went to bed around 11 pm but I played some brown sound on YouTube and put the sleep timer and I sleep the whole night? They also offer the tampons for the ears. The view was spectacular! Plus the tub, was a great staycation.

- ExplorerShane (8/5): Stunning Views, Thoughtful Touches & a Memorable Stay - We had a wonderful stay overall and truly enjoyed our time. The room and views were absolutely the highlight, and the bottle of champagne waiting for us on arrival was a very thoughtful touch that we really appreciated. There were just a couple of small areas for improvement. We had to request an iron and ironing board, and after waiting about 30 minutes, we needed to follow up again, which unfortunately made us late for dinner on our first evening. Additionally, we noticed a long line to access the club upstairs and felt that hotel guests might benefit from priority access. That said, these were minor points in what was otherwise an amazing stay. The atmosphere, service, and especially the view made the experience memorable, and we would absolutely consider staying again.

There are so many things to like - location (chic but out of the chaos of other neighborhoods), amenities (restaurant options, The Standard Grill's happy hour was *chefs kiss*) and of course soft comfy beds + pillows. The staff there is so nice and accomodating, especially Antonio at the check-in desk; he really went out of his way to make sure I had the best birthday weekend I could possibly have! I may have to make this an every year trip! :)

The customer service was top tier and they all went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. We ate at the restaurant several nights and our host Eli was so professional, personable, and kind. We will certainly be returning to the Standard. My only complaint is that there are no hooks anywhere in our hotel room to hang wet towels. Please remedy that.
- 509cader (4/5): Beautiful room that you'll never be able to sleep in - Look, you walk in and the room is exceptional. We had a corner king with literal floor to ceiling windows over looking the Hudson River on one side and downtown manhattan on the other. It was breathtaking. The sun was streaming in and we were thrilled. It was my spouse's birthday and they sent up a cake and nonalcoholic wine because we don't drink. We were blown away at the thoughtfulness. This was our first day away from our kid in years and I was just so excited to have a relaxing time. We got back from dinner and a show and giggled going to our room we were so excited. We walked in and were shocked that there was music playing from the rooftop bar so loudly it shook the room and we could hear every note. I called the front desk to ask how long it would go and it lasted until 3am. It was clear they knew this was an ongoing issue and didn't warn us at all. They didn't move us and instead sent up earplugs (which did nothing) and offered to comp breakfast. I was so bummed because I was looking forward to a cozy good night's sleep and it was completely ruined. This might not be an issue in the winter months. I'll never know. I went in April and I just am very sure that I'll never go again.

The Standard (High Line) is just in a perfect location to take advantage of the West Village, Meatpacking District, Soho, etc. Close to top restaurants, shopping, museums, and parks/trails. Definitely a bit eclectic in style, decor, and vibe -- but traditional in it's high level of service and friendliness. No long waits for check-in or for room service. Kind faces and helpful staff throughout our stay -- from the front desk to room service to housekeeping to the biergarten. Everyone. Room sizes are more generous than other area hotels, elevators are quick, and the views from the rooms are spectacular. The room was clean, spacious, tons of towels, nice mini-bar, comfortable bed/linens, and a generously sized TV. In the room, you can't hear much of anything outside the room -- whether from the hallway, other rooms, or the street. Vanity in the bathroom was a little dark to say the least, but the water pressure was heavenly in the shower. Just loved being in the middle of everything (yet did not feel crowded) and appreciated that all of the staff seemed to truly like people in general and love working at this property.

- 173scotty (4/5): Poor maintenance of expensive suite - I splurged by booking the Liberty Suite for one night of my four night stay. The signature feature of the suite is the teacup tub with views of the Hudson River. When I tried to use the tub I found that the stopper was broken so the tub was unusable. Desk staff the next morning were very sorry to hear that but they didn’t offer any compensation on the price of the stay. So if you saw the pictures online and were thinking of staying in the Liberty Suite spend the same money to book a room at the Plaza instead.

- Jane (9/5): Highly recommend the Highline! - Staff are amazingly helpful & friendly. My room had a view of the Highline & the river - make sure you get one! Sunrise & sunsets are spectacular. Room was fine although, as someone with poor eyesight. I didn’t care for the black tiles & very low lighting in the shower room. It was a nice touch to have an umbrella, and a steamer but a coffee machine would’ve been good! Shower is powerful and the bath if you prefer, is huge! The hotel’s location is great for visiting the sights. You can walk to the One World Memorial, Chelsea Market, Staten Island Ferry & plenty more. Little Island and Chelsea Market are on the doorstep. The subway on 14th/8th is an easy walk and gets you where you want to be very quickly. Dinner at the Standard Grill was very enjoyable. I’d highly recommend a stay at the Standard Highline. Special mention to Claire who was our waitress at the Grill - brilliant smile, so welcoming, a real gem! The black decor in the shower room is not good for anyone who struggles to see in poor lighting. I didn’t find the towel hooks until my last morning!

The wildly indecisive, overthinking, “just one more quick question” caller. I called so many times trying to make up my mind about booking that my phone log looks like we’re in a long-distance relationship. In fact, my review photo will be a screenshot of how many times I called him (because transparency matters). And somehow… every single time… Nathaniel answered with patience, calm, and actual grace. No sighing. No rushing. No “ma’am, please.” Just steady, professional, kind energy while I spiraled over room types and booking details. I will not further embarrass myself by mentioning how I also emailed him (but yes, that happened too). Because of Nathaniel, I booked directly with the hotel instead of using my usual Expedia routine. That’s how good he is. If this is the level of service before I even check in, I already know I made the right choice. Nathaniel, thank you for surviving me and for being absolutely exceptional at what you do.
- A9109OJbretth (4/5): Standard Highline has good amenities, not great service - My wife and I stayed at the Standard Highline for the location and views, which delivered as expected, but the hotel service was disappointing. I had called ahead of time about what arrangements could be made to surprise my wife. I was willing to pay for these arrangements, so it was not about getting complimentary things - it was about having delightful birthday surprises for my wife. The hotel said I could get cake, champagne, and balloons in the room for our check-in. I said that would be great, and I was excited. When we got to the room there was nothing. I asked the desk and they said those services are set up at a certain time of day. No problem, we left for a show and I expected everything would be setup on our return. When we got back there was still nothing. I called the desk and they said it would be delivered to the room. When it arrived, it was only the cake and I was told that was all they had on file to deliver for us. Went down to the desk again and they said I could get champagne, but they’d have to charge me for it. And that they did not have any balloons. I said that was fine, I wanted the surprises - it wasn’t about the cost. The champagne never delivered. We went to dinner and when we got back for the night it was finally there. All in all, it was very disappointing and ruined the extra surprise touches I had anticipated for my wife’s special birthday trip.

The staff were so amazing with our young children, and particular mention needs to go to David and Dennis. They made sure we were looked after and welcome, and I cannot emphasise how wonderful they made our stay. We will definitely return and would recommend to anyone thinking of going with a family

- tuukkao2019 (4/5): Not restful sleep at all - The room I was assigned had a couple having intercourse to loud music - you could hear this down the hallway. The walls are paper thin. Don’t stay here if you need a good night sleep. The staff was not sympathetic but allowed me to move rooms.
