Guest Reviews
- Gerhard (10/5): - Alles
- Julian (10/5): Einen Besuch ist sehr zu Empfehlen! - Äußerst nettes Personal und Essen und Frühstück Ausgezeichnet!
Am besten Direkt ohne Booking buchen
- Jan Bor (10/5): Awsome winter vacation - Great and helpful receptionist, spacious, cozy and clean room, excellent breakfast and absolutely perfect á la carte dinner. The location of the hotel was ideal for me, in a quiet location within a short driving distance from the cable car. Hotel and restaurant Gallia has become my new starting point for the Südtirol region, I can't wait to go there again. Nothing.

- Ingham (10/5): Picture perfect. - Very pretty and smart.
Rooms spacious and clean.
Evening meal( extra cost) was delicious.
Breakfast( included) was also plentiful and delicious.
Next door to a church, so can hear the bells ringing. This stopped at 10 pm and re- started at 6 am.
Didn’t bother us, just added to the ambience.
Also lots of sheep in the mountain foothills with bells around their necks, so can hear the bells ringing, but again this just added to the experience. Nothing
- Doreen (8/5): - The staff were amazingly friendly and the food was lovely
- Pascal (9/5): Très bien - Restaurant, emplacement, confort chambre Le prix est un peu élevé pour la chambre
- Ching Hua (10/5): A warm and memorable stay surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery. - Beautiful location near the stunning Stelvio Pass and the National Park. The staff were hardworking, professional, and very kind—they even helped us fill hot water for our cup noodles from the coffee machine! Nothing in particular—everything was comfortable and well managed.

- Richard (8/5): Great stay but could have been a better nights sleep. - We loved the Spa facilities. The room was very hot even with the window open. If the rooms are going to be that hot with no way to cool them then thinner bedding needs to be provided.
- Doris (10/5): - This hotel is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere. The staff went above and beyond to make the stay unforgettable—always friendly, welcoming, and ready to help with anything. A perfect combination of beautiful surroundings and amazing hospitality!

Ontzettend tof!
Het avondeten a la carte was subliem.

- Markus Schneiderbauer (10/5): - -
- Roberto (10/5): Top level - Struttura ben posizionata personale accogliente servizi e cibo top
- Zamuda (10/5): Beautiful stay. - The hotel, the views and scenery is beautiful. Especially the romantik room is breathtaking, special. Breakfast is various, delicious. Fresh fruits, various cheeses and everything you wish to eat. The staff is really nice, warm and kind. /
- Claire (9/5): Superb -
- Nicholas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chris (7/5): Good - Friendly staff, spacious room, good breakfast Squeaky bed and no AC or fan, which means that if you leave the window open hundreds of flies come in the room.
- Benedetta (9/5): Superb - Amazing location and view, the room was very comfortable and clean
- Rolf (9/5): The best start for a Passo Stelvio eksperience must be Hotel Gallia! - Very attentive and nice staff, very clean and delicate overall experience. A hearty kitchen with good food, good selection of local specialities and wines. Good breakfast and very nice ambience.
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Avivit (10/5): Exceptional - Great locatiob on the eay to Stelvio pasd. Good restaurant. Nice view. Friendly management.
- Yegor (10/5): - Our second stay here - this place is a hidden gem! Family owned and it shows: staff is very attentive and friendly, restaurant is absolutely amazing - all dishes are fresh and delicious.
We’ll always stay here when in the area.
- Baz (8/5): - This hotel is popular with locals and car parking across the road is limited so once you have a spot, you need to keep it.
The hotel is very well appointed and the rooms are excellent with really comfortable beds and large bathroom.
We dined at the hotel and the food was excellent with good attentive service.
Slight negatives. We handed our passports over during registration and were told we could collect them later. When we left the hotel we saw our passport sat on the table of the unattended reception area so we took them, as could anyone else passing by. The breakfast was plagued by a lot of flies and the meats and cheeses available we on open plates, visited by many flies. A simple perspex cover be employed to overcome this.
We were on a 10 day Alpine and Lakes driving holiday and this hotel ranked a commendable 2nd favourite of the ten we stayed at.
- Artur (10/5): Very clean rooms, very good food, very nice personal. - Really good and clean.
- Louis (9/5): A great place to stay on your way to the Italian Alps, with fantastic cooking. - The lady in charge of cooking was fantastic. Everything she cooked was exceptional!
She cooked us scrambled eggs in the morning that were the best I ever had.
A talented cook!
The rooms are very spacious, well arranged and comfortable. The location, perhaps? It is beautiful, but at the bottom of a valley, a bit dark.
- Simon (9/5): Superb - Great location and handy to the pass. beautiful views and good parking. a good breakfast and restaurant. na
- Philip (10/5): - Great location.
Great Service.
Made welcome as soon as we walked through the door.
Food was excellant.
Spotlessly clean.
Stunning views.
- Ronny (10/5): - Fint hotell, god mat. Kan anbefales
- Jamie (10/5): Would highly recommend this place. - Lovely clean hotel and rooms, views from the room, staff very friendly & attentive, choice of food in the restaurant for evening meals & breakfast was excellent. Nothing N/A
- Annamária (10/5): Exceptional - Exceptionally kind and helpful staff, convenient parking. The breakfast is fantastically varied, and the restaurant offers high-quality dishes.
The rooms have soundproof windows — which is definitely needed, as the road in front of the hotel carries all the traffic through the pass! The rooms could be better equipped. There's a balcony but no seating, and a mini fridge would be a nice addition as well.
If you're looking for a quiet and relaxing stay, keep in mind that the area can get quite noisy due to heavy traffic with lots of cars and motorbikes.
- Glenda (10/5): Just a brilliant hotel - The attention to detail was amazing . Nothing
- Michal (10/5): Comfortable hotel under Stelvio Pass - Very nice location just a few minutes from Stelvio Pass. The rooms are spatious, beautiful with a Nice view. The hosts were welcoming. Parking available right next to the hotel
- A (10/5): Perfect place to stay as you pass across N Italy - Absolutely spectacular hotel with incredible views and just the perfect place to rest between Austria and the Stelvio Pass in Italy. The staff were extremely friendly, the food was absolutely superb and the atmosphere was lovely. The room I had was exceptionally comfortable and I would love to stay again.
- Nicola (9/5): Superb -
- Andreas (9/5): Great kitchen, friendly staff. Definitely visit Fam Gallia again. - Good location to get to Sulden for Skiing Nothing
- Kimberley (10/5): Just what we needed. - The location was perfect in terms of the Stalvio Pass, the views from the room were great and the staff really did go above and beyond. Nothing not to like.
- Juanita (9/5): Cozy and Family Hotel - Restaurant - 15 minutes from Sulden - It is a cozy and very well maintained Hotel very close to Sulden, in South Tyrol
The owners run the Restautant and the Hotel, so it is very nice to see them around the guests.
The Chef, which is the also owner, runs the Restuarant and he prepares delicious and very well presented dishes mixing the Austrian and Italian cuisine.
Breakfast is also great, with a variety of salty and sweet options.
Totally Recommended!
- Martina (10/5): Beautiful location. - The location of this hotel is amazing! This was the perfect location for our road trip where we planned to do the Stelvio Pass the next day. The room was really comfortable, had a lot of character and my partner said he had the best nights sleep here out of all the hotels we stayed at. The breakfast options the next day were also really good serving hot and cold options. Nothing!
- Peter (8/5): Very good - Great location for us. Neat and tidy. No lift. Carrying luggage up and down two narrow flights of stairs was difficult.
- Sarah (10/5): Incredible view, delicious food, and wonderful family. - We loved everything about Hotel Gallia! We decided to stay at the last minute while traveling from Merano to the Stelvio Pass and then down to Lake Iseo and are SO happy we did. It was the perfect starting point for not only the Pass but for the Stelvio National Park and plenty of hiking. The location was absolutely stunning, the staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, and the food was delicious (all house-made dishes, including the best venison I’ve ever had — caught by one of the family members!). We happened to stay the last night they were open for the season, or we would absolutely have stayed longer. N/A
- Samuel (10/5): Spacious and comfortable room with beautiful view - The room is more spacious than I expected. It has two balconies. The view from the balcony is beautiful. The breakfast is very good too. We did not see the option for half board when we booked the room. We only stay for one night after the Passo Stelvio drive. This location is just on the way to our next stop in Dolomites but looks like the hotel restaurant is the only place to eat in town. Since we didn't have half board so we just ordered from the menu. Walking up the stairs with our luggage
- Gregory (10/5): Perfect stay for cycling Stelvio - Location was absolutely perfect, as was the service.
An accomplished skier, hiker, runner and photographer, Martin is the quintessential host who made us feel right at home and gave us some great suggestions on how to make the most of the beautiful surroundings. Food was excellent, rooms were clean and well maintained, and the location was absolutely perfect. It’s also a great starting point for anyone wanting to ride the Stelvio Pass. Nothing. It exceeded my expectations.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A quiet village close to Stelvio pass, with exception of church bells.
loved the bells not sure those who like to sleep late would.
Beautiful place, nice ppl and excellent food
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay
- Lin (10/5): - good
- Karl (10/5): Friendly and helpful staff with great food. - Fantastic food and friendly staff Nothing.
- Ian (10/5): Great food. - Food was excellent. Room was small, but perfectly adequate. view very good. Friendly staff. Room looked out over main road but was very quiet. I would stay again. Nothing.
- Philip (10/5): Great place to stay before Stelvio Pass. - Light dinner (salad bar and a beer), breakfast was very good. Nothing, it was all very good
- Elena (9/5): Great overnight stay with fab restaurant. - Great over night stay after a long drive. Room was very clean, staff very friendly & attentive. Restaurant & bar area were cosy & did a good choice of food & drinks. Beds were a bit old & squeaky!!
- Sandra (8/5): excellent hotel, family owned and very well managed - Fantastic restaurant and very friendly staff nothing
- Pamela (9/5): Perfect location - Location great restaurant, enjoyable breakfast. Safe motorcycle parking out the front. Hugh balcony overlooking the road. No facilities in the room.
- Mihaela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Happy (10/5): A gem with fantastic food and friendly staff💕 - The room is comfortable and cosy. Lovely view and the sound of the river flowing which is beautiful.
- Alex (9/5): Superb - Beautiful rooms, very modern and fancy hotel.
Restaurant serves very high quality food - we we're bike packing and felt quite underdressed! Just note the location - Gormio is very small and quite limiting. But the hotel itself is fab.
- Suengyeon (8/5): Very pleasant stay. - Clean and spacious triple room for a family. Delicious breakfast and dinner. Host and staffs were very friendly. Walk up to top floor with our suitcases. Bathroom is too small. Double bed is too short for my husband (6’2”) and he had to sleep on the single bed which was a little longer.
- Manmeet (10/5): Beautiful Family run Hotel - Beautiful Family run property with spacious rooms and an amazing breakfast. You are treated like Family and the staff and owners are super friendly. Highly recommended!
- Stalin (10/5): Exceptional - Very close to stelvio pass I wish the restaurant menu had more variety
- William (10/5): Excellent!! - Loved the views! The staff were friendly, thoughtful, & kind. Beautiful hotel! Food and wine were excellent! Highly recommend & will plan to come back! We couldn’t stay longer :(
- Ronen (9/5): Superb -
- Darryl (10/5): Great location, great food and very welcoming. - Very welcoming and comfortable small hotel in a stunning location. Great steaks for dinner, very friendly staff and easy parking. We had selected the hotel for it's excellent location at the start of the Stelvio Pass but unfortunately the pass was closed still (mid June), but a short detour through Switzerland over the Umbrails Pass was a good alternative route to Bormio.
- Tony (10/5): - Only stayed one night as passing through the area. Staff was just so accommodating and friendly. Just excellent service
- Marianne (10/5): - Super dejligt og rent hotel. Venlig service. Spiste middag i restauranten - rigtig lækker og velsmagende mad.
- Jonathan (9/5): Superb -
- Sigurður (10/5): Perfect - Gereat Dinner at the restaurant
- Adalsteinsson (8/5): Very good -
- Sven (10/5): Lovely hotel & restaurant - Absolutely perfect night left us wishing we could stay longer!
We opted to eat dinner at Hotel Gallia as well & were really happy with our food, breakfast was equally as good.
Our room was comfortable, a lovely bed.
Friendly owner(s)/staff, we jokingly got around to talking about coming back for our honeymoon .. with the Stelvio pass being nearby & both my partner and I being die-hard motorcyclists we would more than consider it!
- Matt (10/5): Exceptional - We stayed at Hotel Gallia for a base for cycling in the area. A garage for storage of bicycles was provided so we didn't have to haul them up to the room. The hotel is right alongside the Stelvio pass road, but the windows and wall provided sufficient sound deadening and it wasn't an issue. The hotel provided excellent breakfast and dinners, a nice perk for this remote location. Nothing.
- Sirtoli (9/5): ideal place to attack the Stelvio - restaurant and size of the room nothing
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- Mikelkel (9/5): Very nice spot to be revisited ! - The comfort of the room is sufficient for a short stay. However, the hotel's excellent restaurant and its location at the foot of the Stelvio Pass are particularly noteworthy. NOthing
- Harry (10/5): - Empfang sehr freundlich. Super Zimmer.
Gut isolierte Fenster, kein Straßenlärm zu hören. Gute Auswahl an Speisen und Getränke.
- Carol (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jozef (9/5): Superb -
- Lk.75 (9/5): Superb -
- Melissa (10/5): Amazing! Would definitely stay again. - Large spacious room and bathroom. Bed was comfortable and shower worked well. Amazing location with fantastic views of the surrounding area. Staff were amazing, extremely friendly and welcoming. We had an amazing meal for dinner and fantastic local dessert dish. Great coffee and breakfast. Outdoor area was nice to relax and enjoy the view. Parking directly opposite the front entrance was convenient. A wonderful family business. Just wish we stayed longer.
- Roy (10/5): Really nice excellent good - Location No water or tea or coffee in the room
- Valerie (10/5): Fabulous & excellent position for start of the Stelvio pass - The staff were traditionally dressed & we loved it! We had to leave!
- Cezara (9/5): Superb - Breakfast was delicious and all ingredients and meals carefully chosen. Staff was friendly and helpful. N/A
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Spotless and great location, the full family work in the hotel and they are very friendly
- Tero (10/5): Very nice stay with superior service - Had a very nice stay... everything was more than expected -
- Garry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Konstantin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Josefine (10/5): Amazing place, perfect location to reach the Stelvio Pass and great service - This place is truly amazing! The location is perfect if you are biking up the Stelvio Pass. The service at the hotel is extremely good, you feel very welcome and they remember each guest’s preferences so you do not feel like you are just another guest in the queue. If you arrive late at breakfast some options might be not be available, but the breakfast is good anyways.
