• Chelsea (8/5): Very good - I really liked how clean the shared bathrooms were at any point of day - dorm bed was very comfortable (4bed female only) and the location is super convenient. I didn't like that the door room code was in a qr in my email so I always had to take my cellphone to the bathroom every time I left the room- just felt strange that the locker I barely used had a key card but the door room that I used constantly had to be accessed by email qr - I do understand the security of it but ... Also the sensor light in my dorm room went off every ten seconds at night and the ac was controlled from the room and people put it too cold.

• 瑞暘 (10/5): The hostel is clean and well equipped. My room was very quiet. - ### 🏠 Accommodation Environment This property is a youth hostel offering shared dormitory-style rooms. I was assigned to Room C, which faces Chongqing South Road, a main thoroughfare. Despite its location near the road, the room was surprisingly quiet. The air conditioning is centrally controlled and not available 24/7; if ventilation is needed, guests must request assistance from the staff to open the windows or doors, as adjustments cannot be made independently. ### 🛁 Facilities What impressed me most was the completeness and cleanliness of the shared bathroom and additional amenities. The facilities were convenient and user-friendly, including: * Power outlets * Western-style toilets * Shower stalls * Large mirrors * Washbasins * A designated area with hairdryers, irons, and ironing boards * Coin-operated washing machines and dryers ### 🕒 Service Hours Staff are typically present between **3:00 PM and 10:00 PM**. Outside of these hours, no personnel are available. In the morning, the front desk is unattended. If you need to store luggage, you may ask staff from the breakfast area or cleaning team for assistance. Please note that the breakfast area is open only in the morning and does not allow guests to linger. Breakfast staff may ask guests to leave promptly after dining. For continued use of public space, it is recommended to move to the adjacent lounge area. ### 🔊 Noise Considerations This hostel serves breakfast during the day and operates as a bar in the evening. For noise-sensitive guests, please take the following into consideration: * The first floor is an open-plan space, including the security post, kitchen counter, reception, accessible restroom, and lounge, separated only by partitions or curtains. * During bar hours in the evening, noise from patrons is common. If you require a quieter environment, it is advised to speak directly with the bar, as that area is outsi While the room itself was clean and comfortable, the noise from the bar on the ground floor made it hard to relax in the evening. The open-plan layout of the common area means sound travels easily, and during bar hours, it can get quite loud. This may not be the best option for light sleepers or those needing a quiet environment. Some improvements in soundproofing or clearer communication about the bar noise would help future guests.

There is a breakfast place downstairs, offering rich food options, this turns into a bar in the evening, you can sit and work there, they have wifi in the bar, too. I enjoyed the time here, I would stay here again.

• Monica (8/5): Very good - Actually, the hostel surprised me. I travel a lot and have been to 146 countries, always using hotels from Booking.com or Hotels.com. I wanted to stay near the MRT Taipei Main Station and Ximending, but hotel prices were too expensive. Since I only needed a place to sleep and shower, paying for an expensive hotel wasn’t an option. I had many plans and tours in Taiwan, so I preferred to save on accommodation. I also arrived in the middle of the Taipei Lantern Festival, which made prices in the Ximending area even higher. The capsule was clean, and the toilets and showers were spotless—exactly what I needed. 1) For two days, I left my luggage at the hostel while visiting Jiufen, but it made me feel uncomfortable and insecure. The hostel didn’t have a dedicated luggage storage room, so it didn’t feel safe.

• Lily (5/5): Not worth the money - The location I stayed in 2 hostels near Taipei main station and this hostel is in the lower side of the quality. Receptionist time was long and unorganized, The shower rooms are not well maintained and cleaned regularly hence the dirty condition after a few people using it, frustration when opening the room door you need a QR code that get refreshed every few minutes, there is no water server in each floor, can’t even use hairdryers after a certain hours unless going to lobby

I guess you get for what you pay for ie Taipei accommodation is expensive and this is good for budget conscious travellers. However the walls are extremely thin and noise travelled too easily between dorms. If you are a light sleeper ideally book a different hotel

• Wai (7/5): It’s a pleasant short stay in Taipei! - The location is good. It’s right across the Taipei Main Station. The bed is big and there’re plenty of storage space. The locker is even big enough for my 30inch luggage. There are only four bathrooms and 2 toilets for the whole floor and the hair drying area is a bit small. I was there during low season so it was ok, but in the morning a lot of ladies were packed in that small area for makeup and drying hair. I can imagine it could be plenty busy during peak season.

The location was actually excellent. And I heard that in weekdays the price would be better. I met a Japanese couple didn't know how to enter into building, because they didn't use the cellphone to pass. Maybe the front desk should be careful about it.

No coffee capsules available to buy for the coffee machine- not a deal breaker but disappointed. They did refund my money though.
• Kamila (9/5): Fantastic starting spot in Taipei exploration - I have landed in Taipei early in the morning on a typhoon day. Only hoped to leave my baggage, but the staff went out of their way to check me in early so I would be comfortable in such a situation. How lovely! As for the hostel itself - the bed was comfortable and the locker big. Showers and bathroom, and kitchen were clean and had everything you need. The was an area for lounging as well. Hostel also had a cafe attached and the breakfast panini + tea were delicious! The hostel is a minute away from the entrance to the underground Taipei Station mall, has 3 convenience stores around, and ever so many tasty restaurants. Great spot for Taipei exploration. You might have to strategize you shower time as there were 2 on the floor for multiple rooms, but I had little problems with it tbh.
• Alvaro (10/5): Perfect location with great staff - This was my second time over there and if I repeated it because the first time was good. But this second time the staff did reach even a higher level of caring and understanding and I know I was the annoying client of the week. Just because I have to say something that could be upgraded: Don’t know how they could do it but traveling with an energy adaptor the pacing of the plug was a bit tricky if you are someone who moves a lot while sleeping.

• Laetitia (9/5): Excellent stay - I stayed in a 4 bed female dorm. The capsule-like beds were excellent, large and comfortable, with a shade for privacy, a light and power points. The bathrooms were large and clean. The kitchen and common room were clean and kitchen ustensils were provided. I arrived early morning on the typhoon day, and I was able to check in early, even though it is not their policy. I am very grateful for that. Overall it is one of my favourite dorms. Guests were very respectful (unlike in other countries). The water of the shower ran very slowly. One day there was no water at all on my floor. I believe it was because of the typhoon. I took some of my showers on the floor below and it was fine.
• Joanna (10/5): Great short-term stay - I stayed here only for 1 night. I chose this because I want to be close to the airport train for my flight the next day. Inn is close to the station. I also liked the bathroom and the bed itself. Despite sharing the room with other people, you still get your own private space because each bed has curtain blinds. In addition, unlike other inn/hostels I've stayed in, Bouti's shower room is a full bathroom - with toilet, bidet, shower area, mirror, sink, and most importantly, space where you can place your toiletries, towel, and clothes without the fear of it getting wet or falling!! There's also a 7/11 close to this inn. There's really none but tips for other travelers, if the main objective is to be near activities in Ximending area, I would suggest booking at hotels/hostels near Ximen station.

• Przemyslaw (8/5): Decent, clean hostel, but not worth 1300twd a night for a capsule shared bed. - Clean toilets and bathrooms, which are fully private. Well-equipped common room. Good AC. The QR code system for opening the door is highly impractical, as I had to carry my phone with me even to the toilet every time. It’s inconvenient. A better option would be using door pin numbers or magnetic key cards. QR codes might make sense only when checking in via a link without reception assistance, but giving magnetic cards for lockers while using QR codes for room access seems inconsistent. Additionally, having to pay extra for a towel when my rate was already over 1300 TWD is disappointing. The staff was unhelpful when I needed to rush to the airport and asked a simple question about the Airport Express train from Taipei Main Station. I suggest training your staff better, as these types of questions are likely common from guests.

It means you have to take it with you, even if you go to the restroom, quite annoying. My code didn't work for the front door. No atmosphere, the bar downstairs was totally empty in the evening.

• Dustin (9/5): Comfy, quiet and chill. - I liked the kitchen area. Super chill and comfortable. I didn’t like using the QR code for the room door lock. A lot of times it had problems reading the QR code and you couldn’t enter the room. That was annoying and time consuming.

Not very helpful with touristic info/activities/tours not a place to meet ppl - The location is quite good, close to the train station so it is easy to move around. Still the train station is quite big, so you have to walk. The place was clean in general. The cleaning lady keeps several bathrooms/shower closed in order to use always the same one so she did not have to clean more. This was annoying since even there was few people in the hostel, people tend to use the bathroom that includes the shower, and there was not other place where to shower because the cleaning lady keep the other ones under lock. That was ridiculous. This place does not have the vibe to meet other travelers in case you are looking for that. Also, the front desk people, they do not speak English and they did not have any activities to participate in (tours, etc.) or even they were not able to give any indication to touristic places or help with tours. They were nice, but not very helpful. The funny thing is that in the city I found out a lot of people who speak English, no idea why they have people who does not speak any English at the reception. Still, I insist that they were nice.

Mattress was extremely comfortable, had a good sleep for 5 nights here. Air conditioning was strong and adjustable. Common area was spacious and clean at all times. Receptionist was helpful and friendly. The toiletries bucket given to each pod was extra helpful. Bathrooms were in good condition, with extra bath mats avaliable. Walking from Taoyuan Metro station (Airport Train line) to the accommodation was actually straight forward by taking exit 3, but it was no where mentioned in the Booking details. Maybe improve on that, pls? Also, pls inform guests to press the door release button when exiting before 7.30am (no one at ground floor).

Can use the kitchen downstairs. There was zero social aspect here. No information about the city from the staff.
• Liu (9/5): It’s a good choice but a bit expensive. - The location is pretty convenient and the bed is quite spacious. I slept in lower bed which is close to the floor, so I have to bend down to crawl into the bed.

The property itself had all the amenities I needed, and the rooms, bathrooms, and common area were all cleaned frequently. The location is amazing, as it is right by 台北車站/Taipei Main Station and a quick walk to 西門町/Ximending! I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend to anyone looking for an affordable stay in a good location!

• Adriana (10/5): - I absolutely loved my stay at Bouti City Capsule Inn. This is my second time staying in a capsule hotel in Taipei and this capsule hotel is incredibly clean and convenient! There's also private rooms if you book for 2 people. The shared area is well kept and the coolest part is that when you entire the establishment, there is a bar!

The common room is great, the staff is friendly We need QR code to unlock the room, or the hotel door (after 10pm), no staff after 10pm. The QR code cant be screenshot bcause it keeps refreshing after 5 mins. So we have to ALWAYS remember to bring our phone, even in the middle of the night to go to toilet. And make sure you have the data and battery on on your mobile if you are outside after 10pm. While I understand the security reason it's a bit annoying to always attached to our phone even just to go to toilet. If you forget it, or dont have data, or battery dead then prepare yourself to sleep outside
• Wing (9/5): Good for a short stay - It is located very conveniently close to Taipei Station. The bed was clean and the shower was good even if it was for shared use. There was also a big locker for each guest in the room.

• Nisa (9/5): Great - The location.. the halal foods are around the corner, the shopping district is within walking distance. The staff was not able to speak English that much.. at first i have a problem to communicate through phone.. but eventually it is all good with Google Translate 😬
• Billingsley (8/5): Highly recommend - I loved the location, the common areas and the kitchen facilitates available. The shower and toilet rooms were also a really great setup! Instructions were great and I loved that there were elevators! The QR code for the dorm room and the cards for the lockers were really easy to use too. Fans in the pods would have been really amazing. The shades that are on the individual pods were wonderful to shut out the light and minimize the sound of others, but it blocks the air flow, so it was warmer in the pod when the shade is down. I bought a handheld rechargeable fan with a stand that made this so much better as I tend to get warm at night.
• Flurin (9/5): Nice place in a great location - Located very close to the main station. The rooms were clean and there are lots of showers so you don‘t have to wait. The common area is nice and has some amenities. Towels cost extra

• Lea (8/5): I will definitely comeback to stay here again. - It’s very clean, quiet, close to the main station, and Ximending. The staff are nice 👍 There’s a Cafe below and a 7-eleven beside it. Area around the Inn feel safe. There’s even a famous local pork bun store. There’s always a long line. ☺️
• Yen (9/5): Superb - Comfortable room and bed. Good location, right in front of bus stop. Few steps away from Taipei train station. Recommended. One of the guests staying in the same room was making loud noises at midnight opening luggages etc… not considerate at all. But we can’t blame the staff as it’s not their fault.

• Sian (9/5): Good value - Good location, near Taipei main station. Lots of food nearby. Uniqlo, Daiso and Shinkong Mitsubishi nearby if you need to buy clothes and toiletries urgently. The shared bathroom is quite unique, each "cubicle " has a sink, toilet and shower area so it is very convenient, got racks to put clothes and towel and do not have to worry about them getting wet. Dorm bed was comfortable enough and clean. Surrounding area can be quite dark at night. That said, it still feels safe to walk through.

• Chandhawat (8/5): Peaceful, nice location - The rule to provide the peace to customers Somehow this rules should come with more enabling facilities. The locker is in the room and the customer needs to drag their bag outside to manage the luggage doesn’t make sense. It might be possible to have separated room for storage locker next to the room.

• Lucero (7/5): Comfortable in convenient location - Really conveniently located close to the train station, MRT, and nice walking distance from places like Ximending and Zhongshan. As a vegetarian, I was happy to find that the parallel street had several all-vegetarian restaurants and stalls. The dorm bed/capsule was comfortable and spacious enough behind the curtain to keep your necessities close. Spacious bathrooms with both toilet and shower so felt nicely private. Everyone seemed to respect keeping it peaceful and quiet after a certain time. Staff was really nice and helpful, and the luggage storage felt extra safe with a tag system. I may have been unlucky with timing but the bathrooms were a bit messy quite a few times, though the facilities themselves were fresh.
• Isabelle (8/5): Great location but no social vibe. - Very nice beds wir curtains. Good facilities, you could also had a personal bathroom with sink, toilet and shower to have personal space for getting ready. No social vibe at all.
• Thomas (8/5): Very good - It was clean and very near the public transport MRT to the airport and near the Metro Station Sometimes the WIFI did not work at all in the room,
