• evan (10/5): Beautiful lakefront hotel with friendly staff, north of downtown - Beautiful location right on Lake Superior. It's a little north of downtown but that's good: it's quiet and the part of town with the good restaurants is closer to here. There's a lovely patio outside where you can have coffee overlooking the lake and watch the birds and bunnies go by. Friendly staff and very comfortable bed. No complaints.

• Heather (10/5): Quiet with amazing views. - The view was amazing. I could have thrown a rock from my patio and hit the lake. The grab and go breakfast was o.k. They had a very nice welcome with coffee, tea and hot chocolate bar with toppings and warm chocolate chip cookies. The beds were really comfortable. The linens were amazing and the towels were white and fluffy. The supplied toiletries were Bee Kind and there was enough for both nights of our stay. Could see the lift bridge from the patio. There was a jetted tub in each of the bedrooms. The filter on the refrigerator needed changing and there was a smear of something on a shelf in the freezer. In general everything appeared to be very clean but the tray under the cold brew part of the Keurig had powder from a drink or something. Everything else was impeccably clean. The condo had one bedroom within and the second bedroom was another room with a separate keyed entrance. All the keys operated both doors but it was a little isolating. Both doors were behind an additional keyed deadbolt locking door. So the main condo had the living room, kitchen, patio, a king bedroom and a bathroom. The second bedroom was next door and had a smaller balcony with a jetted tub, fireplace, smaller refrigerator and coffee maker, microwave and bathroom. Good for groups but maybe not so much for a family with younger kids you want to keep an eye on.

• Martin (9/5): Great spot for an overnight getaway! - Beacon Pointe is right on Lake Superior. Our large room was equipped with a gas fireplace and "kitchen" area (refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker), and had a limited but enjoyable view of the lake. We also enjoyed the sauna. The fireplace appeared to be the main heat source, so getting the temperature right in the room was a challenge.

The room was nice There were some small things, like the balcony was not accessible, there was a broken handle on a window, the faucet in the jacuzzi was loose, and the lights seemed to dim at different rates and flicker when I dim them down. • Linda (10/5): All in all, it was beautiful, comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful! - The view was gorgeous, you have everything you need, pool, sauna, gym, store, parking etc. The walls are thin, you hear your neighbors on all sides. The heat is connected to other rooms so even if you have it off, your room may be too warm.

Close quarters meant we could hear lots of conversation near us (including some heated conversations). Also the jets on the tub were too powerful, they splashed water everywhere. The shampoo and conditioner wasn't big enough for my hair

No new towels or garage bags, which I thought all hotels usually have housekeeping come in if staying longer than one day one night?? Wish better breakfast option.
