- Marion (8/5): Nice room in a picturesque setting. - Lovely big room with a window overlooking the beach, and another window overlooking the patio. Nice to have a chair by the window and rack to hang your coats. I was a little concerned that it might be noisy from the bar below, but we didn’t hear a thing. Good location close to Culloden. The shower mechanism was ridiculously noisy. What a clunker! Tiny bathroom with nowhere to put toiletries.

Terrible sagging bed in room 9. You can feel the metal boxsprings while lying down. We asked for our room to get freshened up daily and they do a terrible job with this. Trash stays full, no new toilet brought, bed stays messy even after a few days. Flat sheets only instead of fitted. I’ve never seen a hotel in Scotland neglect the rooms like this one does.

- MaCpherson (9/5): The Bandstand - This is a lovely, family run hotel with friendly helpful staff. Our room had a stunning sea view and a huge, comfortable bed. The breakfast was a highlight. Cooked to perfection. Be mindful if you are on the top floor there is no lift. Staff carried our bags up for us.

Bar staff turned off bar TV while golf on with no asking if we were watching. TV in room very poor. Didn’t get Sports channel. - Stuart (8/5): I enjoyed my short stay and will use the hotel on my next visit - The breakfast was tasty however the Lorne Sausage and the tattie scones were the smallest I ever seen , the room was clean and comfy and I had a good quiet nights sleep ,The view from the hotel over the beach to the see was nice , spoilt only by the aircon and heating ducts outside my room window . Unfortunately, the weather was cold , damp and dark when I arrived, however it was sunny in the morning and the views looked lovely

Live music (on a Saturday night when I was there), was heard softly in one of our rooms, nothing in the other (finished at 11:30) so if you don’t like live music maybe ask before booking.

- Dave (9/5): We loved the location, staff and breakfast in this Nairn pub/restaurant with rooms. - Perfect location for visiting Nairn, Moray and the Highlands. Friendly, helpful welcoming staff. Cosy, cheerful bar and a truly wonderful breakfast. Very relaxed atmosphere throughout. Parking is on the street, which didn't prove a problem.

- Robert (7/5): Lovely staff but a number of room failings which could have been avoided. - we were greeted by a friendly member of staff on arrival and checked in and directed to our room, which we had stayed in before. The bathroom was fully supplied with various soaps and gels. There were two complimentary bottles of water available for our use along with tea/coffee and a biscuit each. There was a generous supply of clean towels of various types. The next morning we were greeted by friendly staff who showed us to ur seat for breakfast. We were immediately offered tea/coffee, provided with a menu and showed where the cereals were located. We were then invited to order from the menu and additionaly order different types of toast. When it came the order was well cooked, tasty and filled the plate. On check-out I was invited to comment on our stay by a helpful member of staff - which I did. On entering the room we had a look around. Alhough we noted the positives detailed above, we also came across a number of less positive points. The details are as follows: 1. The clock on the mantlepiece did not work. 2. After less than ten minutes of operation, the TV stopped working, showing there was no signal. 3. Various wires were trailing down from the TV, disappearing behind the wardrobe. 4. There was a large dark stain on the carpet in front of the bed. 5. In the bathroom, above the sink, there is a glass shelf. It is quite possible/likely that a sink user who bends down could strike their head on the shelf. I did, but luckily I was bending down slowly. If more swiftly, I could have cut my head. A small shelf could be fitted to the left side of the sink. 6. The cold water tap needs to be tightened. 7. A number of the lights in the bathroom's ceiling did not come on when the switch was pressed. Normally, we would have raised these matters with the hotel at the time. However, as we were going out for most of the night and leaving relatively early the next morning we decided to let things lie. However, I did mention most of them at checkout. Although I have mentioned and given credit for the very positive staff aspects, the above taken together mean that overall we don't feel that the stay was value for money.

Lovely view from the restaurant over the Moray Firth. It's a cosy wee place and was excellent for my 3 night stay. The bathroom door in my room would not stay closed, so I was a bit anxious that the steam from the shower would activate the smoke alarm. That is a very minor complaint though. Everything else was good.

Dinner was very tasty and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast could have done with some muesli and natural yoghurt. There was a baseball cap left down behind the sofa in the sitting room which suggests the cleaning could have been a bit more thorough. Shower in my elderly parents’ room was a bit temperamental.

Our penthouse apartment was huge, boasting a telescope, spectacular views and spacious living area, clean and comfortable with a modern bathroom.

- David (9/5): Well worth a visit (Nairn and the Bandstand) - Friendly staff, beach front location and nice bar. The breakfast was massive and it kept me going most of the day. The only minor criticism was the room itself was really compact (tbf it's advertised as a small single) and I've slept in more comfortable beds. Otherwise a really good experience, I would definitely stay again. (And Nairn is lovely).

Dining was so-so and breakfast was not what I would expect when “ staff tell you that this is the last we have of this or something is not available… this is a restaurant or some rinky dink outfit?. I felt embarrassed for them by this. Lucky I found a great restaurant in town for my second day of stay. ( This was my first time to Scotland and being touring around.) Bar was great for drinks.

Mi hanno anche preparato un piccola colazione da portare con me, visto che andavo via alle 7 di mattina. La posizione, ottima: a due passi dalla spiaggia di Nairn e 6 minuti dalla stazione degli autobus. La stanza era piccolissima ma, per fortuna, ci sono stata poco. Ho trovato strano che tutto fosse affidato allo staff: cameriere e bariste. Strano per un b&b a conduzione familiare, normale se fosse stato un grande hotel; non ho mai conosciuto e neanche intravisto i padroni: esistono??

Very friendly and welcoming staff. The room is quite basic but spacious and clean and with such a fantastic view and location, make it very good value compared to other accommodation in Nairn.

- Jennie (10/5): Wonderful, clean, safe and very memorable!! - The staff was truly exceptional! I wish I could remember all of their names. The toffee pudding may have been the best thing I’ve ever eaten in my entire life! The breakfast was fantastic as well! I especially loved the proper chef that doesn’t do desserts! :) the atmosphere was very comfortable and inviting. Their band were also fantastic. I would not have changed anything about my experience at the bandstand

- Matthew (6/5): Lovely location and made to feel welcome by all, which made for a pleasant stay. - Breakfast and friendliness of the team was great. Accommodation very spacious and clean with lovely views. Nice to be able to have a dining area so that we could have a take-away. Nice to bring back drinks from the pub downstairs. Really appreciated the dog friendly nature of the hotel and its team. Sofa beds were not comfortable for adults and therefore led to a disturbed nights sleep meaning that we were all quite tired when checking out. Shower was tricky to operate and front door was not easy to close.

- Milan (9/5): Štýlové ubytovanie v meste Nairn - Krásny štýlový hotel v mestečku Nairn, ktorý sme si zvolili kvôli blízkosti letiska Inverness. Izba bola veľká a útulne zariadená, s výhľadom na more. K hotelu patrí aj reštaurácia/pub, kde sme mali výbornú večeru a raňajky. Personál bol veľmi milý a ochotný. V blízkosti hotela sa nachádza centrum mesta a zástavka autobusov a vlakov, odkiaľ sa dá dostať na letisko a do miest Aberdeen a Inverness.

- Gordon (7/5): Great staff comfortable and clean accommodation - Good location very nice staff who were also very flexible, efficient and helpful. The room was a bit tight for space given the price we paid
