Guest Reviews
- Coastal25493952974 (2/5): “Terrible Hotel Experience in Dubai – Worst Hospitality Ever!” - I had a very surprising and disappointing experience at a hotel in Dubai. The service was absolutely pathetic.
I booked a room for one night today through Agoda.com and received a booking confirmation (Confirmation Number: 517848283). The payment was already deducted from my account. However, when I arrived at the hotel, the receptionist told me that they were fully booked and did not have a single available room. They said it didn’t matter if I had booked online because they hadn’t received any payment or booking from Agoda.
I was extremely frustrated, as I had traveled all the way from Ras Al Khaimah to Dubai, only to be denied a room. The receptionist was very rude and dismissive, simply telling me to check another hotel because they were fully occupied.
This was the first time in my life that I had such a terrible hospitality experience in Dubai. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone—it was the worst experience I have ever had.
- dasgarali (2/5): Poor service, reception staff bad behaviour - Reception staff they are not coprate with online booking costummer .if you book direct in hotel then they are very nice .even there is no phone in room to call reception for anything .the towel in room have smell and .but the bad thing bad behavior of reception they want us keep waiting and whos come direct book room in hotel.
- 393gretchenk (10/5): Fantastic Experience In Greece - Our Travel Consultant, Maria Anagnostou, was amazing. She planned a wonderful detailed holiday for us on the Peloponnese Peninsula. Not only was her itinerary complete, but Maria or one of the staff stayed in touch with us throughout our trip to make sure everything was perfect. We had professional and knowledgeable tour guides at Naflio, Mycanea, Mystras and Monemvasia. Our private driver, George couldn't have been more professional, knowledge and fun! We even had a wonderful cooking class in Nafplio with Costas and Agathi and a fun boat ride in Kardamyli. To top it off, before we left, Maria met us at our airport hotel with departing mementos of our lovely vacation.
- mones75 (2/5): AVOID - New Penninsula Hotel location is perfect , 4 minutes walk from Al Ghubaibah central bus station and Carrefour , but hotel status is pathetic , in terms of Housekeeping , outdated furniture and service .
- ATYAB (2/5): Terrible Experience. - The room is not clean at all. Cockroaches everywhere. Evan ceiling not closed properly. Rats presence. We can heard the sound of Rats. No Room service.
Terrible experience.
- NALINI (10/5): - Good hotel , but dont provide toothbrush and paste and toiletries
- E8775BGfrancism (2/5): Dirty - Only went here due to the price but will definitely not stay here again even for free. Everything looks dirty. The ac vent looks about to fall off. But the most important thing is there are rats inside the room. We saw atleast 2 running around.
Definitely waste of money never go here.
- Brock (6/5): Near station - The place is easy to find
- Rakesh Kumar (2/5): Terrible and disappointing stay - Worst hotel
- Rishikeshvnair (2/5): Poor - I Book for Delux Room For 1 day.. The room was disaster not even clean.. Torn bed linen. Vaccum not done. Damge wall poor bathroom
There is no water in the room. Poor wifi. I payed 150 for 2 people...
- Cafelatte26 (2/5): Cleanliness - Went to visit a friend and observed that the reception was dirty. They have black leather couch and were all torn off. The reception does not look presentable and I am wondering how the rooms look like.
- kingavi95 (6/5): worth it - been there for 1 week. they served amazing breakfast. the hotel property seems very nice and room are quite spacious but had some issue with the A/C not working properly( very hot in dubai )
quite respectful person working
met with mr arun kumar who is very kind & helpful, and mr yandish (at the reception) do not remember his name properly who helped me very much
overall it is a nice hotel. 🙂🙂🙂
- 34Thomas (8/5): Nice Kerala Restaurant - Been there for lunch a week ago. The hotel has a good Kerala restaurant and the prices are not too expensive. The food is really awesome and the staff was really polite and helpfully. Will go back again.
- sandy_begue (6/5): Nice location but I will not go there again - Great location but I will never stay there again.
The hotel have a perfect geographical situation. 3 minutes walking to Al Ghubaiba Metro Station. Right in front of the bus station. If you are planning a trip to Abu Dhabi it is the exact place to take the bus. To reach the airport the trip last 20 minuted If taking a picture with the iconic Burj Al Arab is on your bucket list then you will have the bus number 8 in front of the hotel to take you there. The room was clean and the breakfast ok. The front desk staff was nice however I regret the night managers attitude regarding our departure. We were compelled to take the transfer included in our package either 4 hours before or 2 hours prior. Even though it was a private transfer I still cannot understand their haste to get us leaving the hotel at 6am. Even though we informed that a wake call was not required, we received a call and the bellboy was sent to knock at our door. I do not know if it was out of good intention but it was unpleasant. Anyhow at 5:55 we were ready. Lastly there are like 2 to 3 nightclubs at the hotel open until 2 to 3am.
- AJadoon (8/5): Entire trip in images - See the images and plan your trip easily
Expect little from hotel then you will like it. we spend only few hours there so don't bother for a fancy hotel. Do not take breakfast from hotel. Plan wisely save a lot
- Antoaneta1990 (2/5): Never go there - I have visited lots of places around the world, but this is the most terrible hotel ever. Rooms are extremely dirty and small. Some of the days we did not have hot water. On the 1st and the ground flood are situated some striptease bars, but with some cheap girls. The breakfast is disgusting and we were scared to eat it. Definitely expensive for this money. If you love yourself at least a bit pls do not visit this place. Only the location is good, which was our mistake for taking it!!!!
- sabeena26aug2016 (10/5): “Excellent” - Oh.... the reception staff was amazing. They way to receive guest was excellent. They arranged complimentary pick up and drop from the airport. They also gave complimentary WiFi and breakfast for us.i just came there for visit Dubai. They are very helpful to find tourist areas and give good instruction for us.The room rate was adorable. Penninsula Hotel is close near by metro station, bus station and city center. Totally it was an amazing and memorable stay for us
- 463sajanl (4/5): Luckily got a wifi password n paid extra 125 aed at reception!!!! - Asked for a wifi password to reception by thru cll they told us they will send a one person with a wifi password..we waited for 40 min but nobody came..and by mistakenly a soft drink(pepsi) was fall down on to the bed sheet by me..chck out time they told us that we have to pay 125 aed for that and i paid the money...thats it...very nyc experience...
- freddyp516 (4/5): Gone bad to worst: avoid this establishment - Stayed the fourth time the New Peninsula Hotel in bur Dubai. Took a room for four person at the rate of 430 AED. Thought things had been change in terms of service and amenities. First we arrive at the Airport and they did not pick us at 02am in the morning. We had to take a taxi to the hotel. To our surprise we were given a room very dirty. The room carpet was as if oil were spilled all along. We ask for another room they say the hotel was full but we learned that this was not the case as some people were coming and checking in for room and they got it. To make matter worst the Air-con did not work properly as if we were in some furnace that we had to ask for fans. We decided to take a bath and to our surprise the water was too hot. No matter how we try to regulate the temperature nothing works. it was a very bad experience.Even the wi-fi service was a fiasco. Our return flight was 02a.m in the morning and they force us to check out at 9p.m instead of 10p.m the usual time. The staff over there looked exhausted and the staff always feel tired when they came to assist you with something i.e towels exchange, bringing the weighing machine etc...... We decided never to come this place again. Please avoid this place. They have not upgraded nothing over there. Would not recommend at all this place to anyone.
- hh0areau (10/5): My vacation 2013-2014 - I have visited Dubai 2 years ago and i stayed at New Pennisula Hotel in Bur which is the coolest, and very near bus station, shops, good for shopping. The staff was very helpful and generous. Next time i visit i will a;ways stay there.
- zeeshanshaikh56 (4/5): Does not worth AED 250 - 1. Cleanliness was not up to the mark.
2. Quality of Mattress and bed sheet was average.
3. Room size was small.
4. Late check out request was denied even though plenty of rooms were available.
5. Metro and Public buses were easily accessible.
- MukeshDave (10/5): My favourite place - This is my favourite place to stay in Dubai. This was my 5th stay here in as many years. The best part is access to Metro (200 m) and bus stand (right on it) as well as access to Bur Dubai market place.
- freddyp516 (6/5): NEED TO UPGRADE INFRASTRUCTURES AND HIRE MORE WORKER - Stayed at that hotel three times. First time was with my family. I booked a separate room through email. A guy name Arun Kumar was very courteous and very helpful. He did all the arrangement for Airport Pick up to and from the Hotel. Staff service was good except it was very slow. At my first stay at the hotel my air condition was not working in the room, told the reception to have it fixed but was not to my expectation even after fixing. The Room was ok except for the bath room infrastructure which need to be upgraded. The tub was too old with lots of scratches on it. For 200AED per day the hotel really need to be upgraded or will looses its clientele. In Bangkok one would get a more cosy hotel with that sum charge at New Peninsula.
- djsolo_sesel (6/5): Budget hotel - Location of hotel very good...close to bus station, metro station and just across you have Carrefour n City Centre mall..small version though. Rooms are 2* rated...not the most luxurious but comfortable if you're using the hotel just to sleep. Just across the street u can get very good take out food at cheap prices. Overall id say 3*
