- Sebastian (3/5): Disappointing, hidden costs, I regret - The breakfast seemed to be a reasonable price. Near the main station The most dissatisfying part of staying here, is that the extra costs aren't explicitly written anywhere before you make an unrefundable booking. So know, that you have to pay for each set of bedsheets and each towel separately, 4.5 and 3 euros respectively, and for every day also the Kurtax 3.5 euros per person per day, which is also not written anywhere. For a family staying here, these prices could become ridiculous. There is no shampoo, the room description didn't match what we received, the facilities don't match the price in general. As a hostel, it is much more expensive, and not of comparable quality to other average hostels. Also important to note, the shared space is only available during certain working hours. The customer service wasn't inherently bad, but I also can't call it a positive experience. I'm very disappointed, and regret booking. Better to book an actual hotel, the extra costs anyway bloat the price.

- Steffen (3/5): Für das günstige Zimmer bezahlt man einen hohen Preis! - Die Nähe zum Stadtzentrum. - Extrakosten für Bettwäsche und Handtücher erfährt man erst nach Abschluss der nicht stornierbaren Buchung!!! Dafür kommt die Bitte, dass man sie selber abziehen soll. Was wir natürlich nicht erfüllt haben! - für die laute Kreuzung kann keiner was, aber das die Fenster so undicht sind, dass es bei geschlossen en Fenster noch so laut ist.... - Bett macht Geräusche beim drehen. - Im April keine Heizzng - Fußboden verstaubt

- Michael (9/5): Einfach, sauber, preiswert und für meine Zwecke super. Gern wieder. - Zimmer war sauber, ein nettes Hostel, alles was ich brauchte war vorhanden. Die Fenster zur Straße sind zwar nicht alt, aber nicht so dicht, wie sie es sein könnten. Wenn diese richtig dicht wären, wären die Geräusche der Autos noch weniger zu hören und energiesparender wäre das sicherlich auch. 😀 Aber das war für mich nicht das große Thema meines Aufenthaltes. Nur als Anregung.

- Katja (8/5): - Der super kurze Weg zum Bahnhof und in die City. Das EZ war mini, das Kopfkissen verdiente den Namen nicht, war klumpig und nicht zu gebrauchen. Auch die Bettdecke fürfte mal erneuert werden. Und etwas Flexibilität (Erwachsenenfrühstück mit Nutella anstelle Leberwurst war nicht zu machen)
- Eduard (1/5): - Sehr alte Ausstattung, die Tür zum Flur hatte einen 2 cm Spalt, sehr hellhörig, Frühstück minderwertig und man bekommt nix extra, Kaffeemaschine ist kostenpflichtig und nicht zu empfehlen. Matratzen durchgelegen und sehr dünn. Wir kommen nicht wieder und gehen für den hohen Preis das nächste Mal in ein richtiges Hotel!
- Katja (8/5): Super Lage, altes Kopfkissen und -decken - Super kurzer Weg vom Bahnhof und in die Stadt. Das Kopfkissen und das Inlet (Bettdecke) gehören dringend erneuert. Das Kopfkissen war so verklemmt, dass man nicht drauf liegen konnte (gut, dass ich mein Eigenes dabei hatte). Etwas Flexibilität (Erwachsenenfrühstück mit NussNugatCreme anstelle Leberwurst) wäre auch schön. Auf die anderen Gäste, die übermäßig laut waren, hat das Hostel ja leider keinen Einfluss. Das Personal habe ich nur beim Einchecken gesehen.

Once we were given our room, we did not meet anybody from the staff during our time in Wernigerode. It should be noted that we only came in the late evening and left always at around 8 o’clock.

- Dirk (1/5): Nie wieder!!! Dann besser auf zentrale Lage verzichten - Nur die zentrale Lage Sehr schlechtes Personal an der Rezeption. Ist angeblich neu. Hat ewig beim Check In gedauert. Man musste für ihn sogar den Preis der Kurtaxe aus dem Internet raussuchen 🙈 Eiskaltes Zimmer, obwohl Anreise 6 Monate vorher bekannt war. Extrem schlechtes Frühstück und wieder dieser missgelaunte Mann an der Rezeption. Und das zu einem Preis wie wir nächste Woche zentral im 4-Sterne Hotel in Dresden bezahlen.

- Nelly (3/5): Nie wieder Hostel, lieber 10-20 Euro mehr zahlen dafür mehr Komfort - Hatten spontan ein Zwischenstopp gesucht, zum ersten Mal in einem Hostel übernachtet. Das man Bettzeug kaufen, beziehen und abziehen mußte. Gut das wir Handtücher dabei hatten sonst hätten wir das auch kaufen müssen. Zimmer war kalt, hat gezogen, Fenster schwach, mußte erst Heizung anmachen nach 4 Stunden war langsam warm aber nicht lange, Abends wieder abgekühlt. Trotz Decke halbe Nacht gefroren. Matratzen waren hart. Für die 85,- hätte ich Ferienwohnung bekommen können. Kein TV kein Radio. Mein Fehler, immer Kleingedrucktes lesen.

- Christof (8/5): Preis und Leistung stimmen, gerne wieder. - Frühstück haben wir nicht gebucht. Aber in der Nähe gab es gute Frühstücksmöglichkeiten. Die Lage zu Bahnhof und Altstadt ist günstig, da es nur 5 bzw. 10 Gehminuten dauert, die Entfernung zu überwinden. Die Lage an einer viel befahrenen Straße ist nicht ideal. Unsere Zimmer lagen auf der Rückseite des Hauses. Es gibt keine reservierten Parkplätze, sondern nur öffentliche an der Straße.

- Wolfgang (5/5): Na ja - nicht wieder. - Die Kosten der Bettwäsche-/Handtuchmiete waren nicht ausgewiesen - letztendlich wäre ein Hotelzimmer für 2 Personen für den gleichen Gesamtpreis möglich und komfortabler gewesen... Es ist ja kein Problem, ein Frühstücksgetränk aus dem Automaten zu ziehen - die im Frühstückspreis enthaltene Automatenmünze reicht aber nicht für einen wirklich kleinen Cappuccino, da 50 ct zusätzlich erforderlich waren...

- Daniel (6/5): Schnuckeliges Familienzimmer in lauter Umgebung - Schnuckeliges, großes Familienzimmer. Sehr sauber, liebevoll eingerichtet. Lage war ok, jedoch Nachts sehr laut wegen Kreuzung und viel Verkehr ab den Morgenstunden, besonders Lkw's und Busse. Frühstück wirklich sehr minimalistisch.

- Cheryl (7/5): Clean but cold - Very clean, decent sized room, not noisy, close to train station and grocery store. Charged extra for coffee, towels, sheets. No staff ever at desk; you had to ring a buzzer to get anyone, which is annoying if you just have a question or want advice. The first night I had food I wanted to refrigerate but couldn’t find anyone to get into the kitchen, because it’s locked like everything else. Next day when I got the key to the kitchen the refrigerator was empty and the door was open. No one around to ask if it worked. 2nd time throwing my food away!! They really need full time front desk help.
- udo (6/5): Eine preisgünstige Unterkunft in Altstadtnähe mit kleinen Haken - Am Morgen war niemand erreichbar, als wir unsere Fahrräder holen wollten. Auch bei der Ankunft musste ich ein wenig warten. Die Zusatzkosten für Bettwäsche waren etwas versteckt.

Вартість постільної білизни та користування кухнею не входить до ціни за кімнату, що стало відомо вже після оплати-в описі помешкання про це ні слова.Вікна кімнати виходять на досить шумну вулицю, що заважало спати в спекотну ніч.

- Faris (3/5): - Lage direkt an einer viel befahrenen Straße. Kein klimatisiertes Zimmer, welches bei unserem Aufenthalt im Sommer extrem aufheizte, öffnet man dann die Fenster ist es extrem laut. Auch bei geschlossenen Fenstern lässt sich die Straße nicht überhören. Typischer Hostel Charakter, niemand verantwortlich, leider hielten sich unsere Zimmernachbarn nicht an die Hausordnung und waren die ganze Nacht auf den Beinen und störten die Nachtruhe, wir haben noch in der Nacht eine neue Unterkunft gebucht und sind geflohen.

- Sonny (5/5): Für eine Nacht ausreichend - Preise für ein einfaches Hostel dieser Sparte unangemessen - Das Personal war freundlich und auskunftsfähig. Die Zimmer waren einfach und sauber. Das Hostel liegt in der Nähe des Bahnhofs und der Altstadt. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Die Zimmer sind mit Doppelstockbetten ausgestattet, die für mich als Erwachsene zu niedrig und zu klein waren. Ich belegte als Einzelperson durch die ungünstige Lage im Haus gleich zwei Zimmer. Wenn vorher deutlich kommuniziert wird, dass Zusatzkosten (Bettwäsche, Handtücher) auf mich zukommen, dann kann ich mich darauf einstellen. Ich erfuhr das durch die anderen Gäste. Und doch bezahlte ich ohne Frühstück und mit Zusatzkosten zu viel. Die Kosten sind für ein Hostel an einer befahrenen Zufahrtsstrasse in die Stadt hinein zu hoch.

- Zelda (8/5): Very good - Good size rooms and bathroom. Light with big windows Our room was directly onto quite a busy road so noisy. We had to pay for linen/towels which is the policy but had not been made clear to us beforehand and made the stay more expensive than I’d expect for a hostel
- Alison (5/5): Passable - Room was compact but comfortable, with private bathroom. Location was good, walking distance to train station, shops and restaurants. There was a guest kitchen but you had to pay 20euro deposit to get access to this. We booked mainly because of the price (we were passing through and only staying one night) but once extra charges for bed linen, towels etc were added it wasn't as good value as 1st appeared. Also the breakfast was fine but very basic for the price (bread roll an cup of tea or coffee but some types of coffee were extra).

- Mats (8/5): Very good - Nice clean rooms and clean bathroom, nice lounge area, access to a kitchen, short walk from the train and bus station. The kitchen was well-equipped but a bit small with only one sink and one stove (with 4 hot plates).
- Nataliya (5/5): Never again! - Beds were comfortable. Free street parking slots right in front of the door. Good location. The staff replied our questions unfriendly, we felt us not welcomed. They refused to give us our Harzer Urlaubs-Ticket (HATIX) lying the 2-night reservation instead of 1-night one is required. There is no online payments for booking, but we also got no bills for our payment by cash direct in hostel. Towels and bed linen are for extra charge. Horrible pillows! You can get a key from kitchen with a kettle and microwave only under the 20 euro deposit, but there is free hot water in coffee machine. Breakfast (for additional 5,5 euro) consists from 2 white flour buns, a sausage and portion packets of butter, jam and honey. Never again!

- Kennedy (6/5): Room is nice, experience is passable. - Location was convenient to sightsee. Room was large and clean. Check in n check out process was quick. Noisy groups, loud conversations continuing through the night. A stranger entered our room to use the toilet in the middle of the night.
- Mihai (3/5): Poor - It was clean Very cold in the room. Around 18 C, we estimate. Mattress was very thin thus, the bed was very uncomfortable. You have to do your bed by your own. They provide linen with a cost. Breakfast is a bad joke. Only cheap gem and something like a chocolate. Instant coffee and only one per person after you can pay with coins. For the price of 200 euros per night, for a room of 5 persons it is a rip off.
