• ARNAUD (5/5): Très mauvais rapport qualite prix - Le personnel est très sympathique bien que parlant pas un mot d’anglais (ce qui pour un hotel est compliqué!) Les balcons, le quartier peu touristique et très vivant - le wifi ne fonctionnait pas, il a fallu nous changer de chambre, c’etait pas beaucoup mieux - la première chambre que nous avons eu était plutôt propre mais la seconde, c’etait très sale : poussière, sol pas lavé… - des pigeons dorment sur les hauts des balcons, ce qui fait qu’ils détectent sur les climatiseurs. C’est immonde et le personnel n’a jamais lavé. C’est les clims de nos chambres après et l’air que nous respirons. - c’est globalement loin de tout… le quartier est très « vie locale » mais ce n’est pas adapté pour un touriste qui veut visiter Bangkok - nous avons payés beaucoup trop cher pour la prestation et l’emplacement!

Calm and relaxed during the day, Thai night culture when it gets dark. Also, the absolutely wonderful lady named You, My breakfast option, included a modest breakfast buffet, You, worked there, at The Grand Sala Hotel, which is associated with Yotaka & across the street upstairs 2nd floor. You, will be there serving food, coffee, cleaning, etc. She was exceptional! Interacting with You each morning remains a joy of visiting Yotaka Hotel & getting the breakfast potion. I intend to return. There were a few foreign people also staying at the Yotaka hotel. They were loud, rude, even disrespectful. Yet, they were just like potholes to me, the kind that you drive past, and that is what I did. Besides, the hotel had nothing to do with that aspect. I would love to return.

• Niels (4/5): Beautifully designed property with comfortable rooms, but unprofessional service and dishonest practices made for a disa - The property is beautifully decorated with authentic statues and offers very relaxing facilities. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the bathroom was large and spacious. Unfortunately, my experience was overshadowed by poor service. Upon arrival, the staff were impolite, made no effort to greet me, and spent most of the time talking among themselves without any smiles, friendliness, or professionalism. There was also no access to Wi-Fi during my stay. The most disappointing moment came at check-out. Unaware that the check-out time was 11:00 a.m., I was informed I would be charged 400 THB for leaving 1 hour and 45 minutes late. When I asked to see where this price was stated, the staff continued speaking in Thai to each other, ignored my questions, and behaved evasively. Eventually, I located a sign indicating the charge should be 50 THB per excess hour. Even after pointing this out, they continued avoiding a direct answer until I threatened to call the police - at which point they apologized and refunded the 400 THB. Overall, I found the approach dishonest and unwelcoming, and I will not be returning. For reference, the property was completely empty during my stay.

• Ailyn (7/5): Good - The rooms are pretty decent for a family of 4 members and staff are accommodating. Our room was on the 3rd floor and there was no elevator so we had to use the stairs going up with our luggages.

I liked that the room had a balcony, which I prefer. The bed was comfy, and the staff were friendly, even though they don’t speak much English. The location wasn’t very convenient. The air conditioner wasn’t cool enough, and there was no extra keycard available. Compared to the location, the price felt a bit high.

• Dave (6/5): Decent hotel - The room is comfortable, with comfortable beds, good A/C, wi fi, hot water for showering, and free water and juice boxes in the mini fridge. The bigger rooms require going up a couple of flights of stairs outside the building. The pool looks nice. Location is about halfway between the city center and either of the two airports. The walls are thin: you can hear everything outside, to include street noises, motorcycles, scooters, drunks, etc, at all times, especially in the middle of the night. If you are a light sleeper, you may not sleep well here. The checkin process is terrible. They make you give a 500 baht deposit to be given back to you when you check out. It must be in cash and in Thai currency. I did not see this requirement in the booking details. If you are leaving Thailand after this stay, this deposit sets you up to have to spend 500 baht cash at the airport on anything (or exchange it at a terrible rate), and that can be a challenge if you have an early flight out and are tight on time. The staff does not speak English so be ready to use your translation apps. Breakfast is included, but it is at a different hotel across the street and you take a ticket good for the breakfast. Wi fi is spotty and you frequently get kicked out. Limited public transportation options unless you are willing to walk a ways.
• Lee (7/5): Great for a short stay, relatively nearby both airports. - Room 104 was very clean, I didn't have cash atm of arrival, so the guy from the reception drove me with his scooter to an ATM which wasn't working for me regardless. Anyway nice gesture. Location is in the outskirts of Bangkok, though a lot of street food can be found along the street and the alleys. On both sides are 7/11 stores within 1-3 minutes walking distance. Nearby is the Yellow line, which will go to the Blue line (metro), but for the costs spen it's preferable to use Bolt instead (Grab has become more expensive nowadays), since this is a faster way of transportation. For instance getting into the heart of Bangkok was between 50-90 THB with scooter driver and by taxi 100-180THB. Since I have been many times in Bangkok before, I know my way around, but if you're new here and planning to do sightseeing and tours you can better look out for a (more expensive) stay in Sukhumvit area. Staff didn't speak English, but without too many questions this shouldn't be a problem. but there were some mosquitos now and then ( I guess they came in after cleaning or underneath the door since there was a small space underneath it. Although continuously warm, the showers pressure faded every 30 seconds. Didn't make use of the swimming pool, but it looked clean and well maintained.

• Jenni (7/5): Value for money. - We stayed in the private room with the private pool. It was spacious, with two bathrooms, living area with a sofa and two bedrooms. The outside pool area had two seats and a love seat that was comfortable and it was nice to have a private pool area It was ok and clean enough but definitely run down and in need of attention. The pool is old in desperate need of a refurbishment, and could have been cleaned a bit more before arriving. The bathrooms were clean and the bedroom was fine, I didn’t feel there was a strong smell anywhere like has been mentioned before but it could be due to the time of year as the pool area does back into a dirty canal. Inside the master does need looking at, I couldn’t tell if it was mould or just damp on the ceiling and the windows in the living area and main bed room does have a gap and needs something to keep mosquitos out.

• Dewshi (9/5): Our stay at Yotaka Bangkok hotel was amazing and satisfactory, 9.5/ 10. - The booking was made for 4 people over the age of 21. My brother, myself, mom and dad. Our booking was for 10days. I believe we stayed in a Family Room. This consisted of 2 connected rooms with 1 large bed and 2 single beds. The rooms are connected with two doors that can be locked from either side for privacy. Each room had its own separate facilities such as toilet, bathroom, minifridge, toiletries, tv, air conditioning etc. The air conditioning was sufficient in both rooms at times we even had to turn it down because we felt it was too cold. Both bathroom were equipped with hot water. The bathroom had shower gels, toilet paper, tooth brushed, soap, towels, etc. Room service was also available. The rooms were clean beautifully made and comfortably. The lighting was easy on the eyes. The minifridge was stocked with water, soft drinks and juice. There were two mugs, two spoons, coffee sachets and a hot water kettle in each room. Chips and crackers were also supplied. Each day was a small basket waiting outside the door with water, juice, softy drink and chips. Breakfast was amazing and was prepared by an amazing lady, that always tried to feed us as much as she could. She was very welcoming an accommodating. The hotel only provided breakfast however, there were plenty of places in walking distance that provided lunch and dinner. Alternatively I would suggest downloading Grab (Asia's version of uber). I had Grab downloaded onto my phone the whole trip. This made it possible for me to order cheap and affordable taxi rides as well as being able to order food at all hours of the day. The pool was accessible by all throughout the stay. It was open 24/7. It was cleaned everyday and the staff would light it up every night for safety. The pool was easy to access and had a good amount of privacy. The staff were amazing, friendly, happy and accommodating. While the language barrier was sometimes and issue they did there best to help us. The hotel was a bit far from the city. It took at least 30 - 45 mins to get to the heart of Bangkok. This was mostly due to the high traffic in the area at all hours of the day. The hotel did not have an elevators, etc. So there were a little more that a few steps to climb with our luggage. That being said the staff were incredibly helpful and helped us carry our luggage to our rooms. We were at Yotaka Bangkok between the 30/12/2023 - 09/01/2024. During New Years and after the noise levels in our surroundings were loud which was understandable as most people were partying. However, I believe that one of the guest were having house parties almost all nights during our stay and had odd loud music playing at odd hours of the night. The noise was rather annoying. This was the only thing that bothered me and my family during our stay.

• Stenz0r (3/5): Desperately Needs Renovation and Cleaning - TL;DR - This hotel would have been great when it opened, it just hasnt been touched since then. We had an okay stay, no major issues, just a TON of small ones which made us not want to stay here again. More photos in my Google review posted 22.03.23 Pros: The family room is nice and large! There was a dining table, coffee table, TV, brand new full sized refrigerator with freezer at the top, electric kettle, two coffee cups and towels folded into cute little elephants on all the beds. My cons list is long but it's mostly small things that we were able to shrug our shoulders at. We didn't ask for staff assistance at any point because on the whole, they're small issues, but seen as a collective list, we won't stay again. Cons: Check in was a little awkward, there's no ramp or flat surface to access the hotel, just many stairs, all at different heights haha. Staff speak little to no English, but that's fine, I downloaded Thai language on the Google Translate app haha Cash only, you must pay the entire fee upfront plus a 500B security deposit (this was already known information, it's just worth emphasising because it's not comfortable as a tourist to walk around carrying a lot of cash, there'san ATM on the next block which we used for this). We were given a physical key and a key card. The card never worked so we just left it in the room at all times. A bit gross and quite dirty when we first entered the room. Dying/dead cockroaches in the master bedroom and ensuite (we're used to insects, we just scooped them into the bin) Someone's used bandaids stuck to the wall in the shower (didn't touch those, they're probably still there) All the walls throughout the entire villa had dirty marks, spots, scuffs and splashes. The wooden folding doors with glass panels were all rusted shut (found this out when I tried to open them for about 15 minutes) On the coffee table, there was a list of charges for anything and everything in the room (such as condoms, towels, moving the furniture, spoons(?) and bottled water). No internet, but there was a WiFi router by the TV that you could use for casting with your devices. We placed the Do Not Disturb sign on the door but the staff called us on the room's phone two days in a row to ask about housekeeping. Glad we weren't sleeping. Asked a third time in person as we were going out for the day.

• John (4/5): Hire an exterminator! - good location and presentable on the surface I had a private pool room. The main doors to the pool area in both the bed room and sitting room had massive gaps the room was full of mosquitos. The pool area was full of rats not one or two their where lots running along side the pool as I was in it. they would not accept credit or debit card had to be cash only! I may be picky but sharing a pool with rats is not my idea of a good time! I paid for 4 nights stayed one! I did not even attempt to complain as the young girl had zero English.

• Lseek (5/5): Convenient for one night - Good for one night, being close to the Rajamangala National Stadium, meant we could walk to and from the concert. The photos are misleading. I thought the pool was for everyone, turns out it's connected to the private villa. Quite a lot of mosquitos in the room, and shower did not drain well, a breeding area for mosquitos.
• Henimuzlina (10/5): Exceptional - The hotel has a Balenese touch and very beautiful. Our rooms were Very spacious and comfy. Staff were really friendly. We were unable to lock Our room #104. It was quite dangerous as anyone can access the room as it has a direct way to/from the main road. Shower manhole was clogged and they will only change the towels when requested.
