• Marijan (7/5): Eine preiswerte und nette Unterkunft im Zentrum von Duisburg. - Das Zimmer war sauber. Das Badezimmer sehr gut. Die Lage des Hotels war passend und man hat einigermaßen kurze Wege zur Innenstadt. Abgesperrter Parkplatz gegen Entgelt war praktisch. Die Unterkunft ist von der Rezeption getrennt und wirkt abgeschnitten. Das Personal an der Rezeption wirkte nicht sonderlich interessiert am Gast, war aber soweit korrekt. Etwas mehr Interaktion zur Funktionsweise des Parkplatzes oder zur Zufriedenheit bei der Abreise wäre wünschenswert.

• Azuan Shah (10/5): Polite, reasonable and responsive! - The hotel manager approach me with an unexpected deal. He able to offer me a single room apartment after knowing I brought a rice pot cooker. It was very kind and nice consideration that balance my needs for long stay accommodation.
• Christina (8/5): Beter dan verwacht. Erg schoon en netjes - Kamer was zeer ruim, schoon en het personeel was erg vriendelijk We zaten op de 4de etage, de lift was zeer klein en voelde niet prettig. Daarna nog een trap op, dus niets voor minder valide.

• Tanja (8/5): - die Größe des Zimmers und des Bads, die Sauberkeit, die bequemen Betten, das schnelle W-Lan, die zentrale Lage mit guten Busverbindungen zu Hbf und Zentrum Man hat den Verkehrslärm gehört, es ging zwar, aber Schallschutzfenster wären trotzdem gut. Auch bei zugezogenen Gardinen kam morgens zuviel Licht herein.

• Alexandra (4/5): Bizarre building and location - Good biking storage for the night Weird location, no reception desk, we had to go across the street to another hotel. The building felt very lonely, not much security or people attending us. Grab and go breakfast very poor selection, better hotels in the area.

• Roy (10/5): Entspannter Aufenthalt - Ein schönes Zimmer, sehr geräumig und sauber, sehr bequeme Betten mit einem hohen Schlafcomfort. Der Empfang im Hotel Conti, gegenüber dem Ferrotel, war sehr freundlich. Wir wurden dann begleitet, da es unser 1. Aufenthalt dort war. Es gibt nichts Negatives.

• Gosia Kwatera-Knapek (9/5): We came back! - Second stay at Ferrotel in Duisburg to attend an event in Messe Essen and everything was great and as expected. The rooms were spotless clean, the mini breakfast helped us to get going in the morning, staff was friendly, we had a good night sleep. Very good value for money overall. When booking more than 1 room, I don't think Ferrotel is able to book adjacent rooms at all.

• Jürgen (10/5): Gelungen - Das Hotel war sehr sauber , die Betten bequem .Das Badezimmer war Top auch die Dusche .Es gibt eine Aufzug . Wir waren sehr zufrieden Die Lautstärke am Fernseher ist vor eingestellt , sie ist nur bis Stärke 10 regelbar und zu leise um was zu verfolgen .

• Rod (8/5): Very acceptable - It is next door to the Conti Hotel and you have to sign into Ferrotel, both are SORAT group. This was not explained to us and we really needed a substantial breakfast, not a grab and go as offered by Ferrotal, so we switched our reservation to the Conti with the aid of the excellent receptionist, Mel. Thanks to her we got a good night’s sleep after a long day travelling. The rooms were great, the only thing lacking is the in room provision of tea and coffee making facilities

The Grab and Go breakfast included in the price was also very good. There was a ventilator in the room too. I would wish for thinner bed sheets during the summer, since still the heavy winter sheets are being used.

Bottle caps were found from the room's floor. The housekeeping entered the room at 9:45 in the morning on the day we were leaving which was again weird.

• David (9/5): Clean, comfortable and convenient hotel - Good location close to the city centre and about 10-15 minutes walk from the station. Modern styled accommodation with a nod to the city's industrial past. The staff at the sister hotel (where reception is) were helpful and friendly. The 'grab and go' breakfast included in the price was very basic and the full buffet breakfast at the sister hotel a little expensive.

• Malgorzata (9/5): Very pleasant stay in Duisburg - All in all very pleasant overnight stay in Duisburg, walking distance from the central station and restaurants and cafes, but in a quiet street. Our rooms were spotless clean, spacious, with comfortable beds and everything else we needed for an overnight stay. You need to know that the reception is only in a partner hotel across the street, but the reception lady was very friendly and walked us over to Ferrotel to show and explain everything directly in our building. A mini-breakfast (a croissant, an apple and a hot drink: coffee/tea) was included and we treated it as a bonus to get us going in the morning. It is definitely not a full buffet breakfast. We are a family of 4 with 2 kids and needed to book 2 double rooms (there was no more availability for family rooms anywhere near Duisburg train station). I obviously asked for a neighboring rooms, we got the same floor, but not really neighboring. We could have got 2 rooms just facing each other but instead we had to run back and forth the whole corridor. When traveling with kids this is crucial.

• michael (10/5): - Sauber, bequem und Stadtmitte gut zu erreichen. Bring eigene Konfitüre für das Fruehstueck, das unnötig geizig war, (selbst wenn vorgewarnt!). Von Personal war nichts zu sehen und dafür fühlte das Hotel als gemietete eine Schlafzimmersammlung; mehr nicht aber hat in diesem Fall gepasst. Würde wieder kommen.

I’ve booked a room in Ferrotel, but actually the living was in Conti hotel, which is located opposite of Ferrotel on other side of the street . When I arrived to Ferrotel on Saturday at 7 p.m , I have found the closed door of hotel and any alive person inside. It was an ad on door of Ferrotel announced something in German only.…. of such changes, but at that moment I would be highly appreciated the ad on door of Ferrotel in English as well. So if you are travellers without knowing of German to be ready to have translator at hand. By the way the Conti hotel is nice, clean and was in accordance with my expectations for Ferrotel. So finally, I could complain only on above said. But, if your finds limited, be ready to park your car on street, as parking place in the Conti hotel costs additional 30 euro per day….as well, what the most surprised me, the breakfast, which had to be included to living cost and prepaid by me via Booking actually contained only coffee with one croissant, for full breakfast the Conti hotel asked to pay additional 17 euros. Also I have not find in my room a shower cap and a shoehorn. Okay, you can said I’m too critical, but when you have a very nice tropical shower, but don’t want to wash long hair, it’s a problem and you can’t enjoy your shower. About shoehorn not to discuss - this small , but vey necessary thing must be always in hotels rooms.
