Guest Reviews
- Phillip (3/5): Front desk lady was mean and rude - It was clean and easy to get to The front desk lady was very rude and couldn’t explain anything from the time we checked in she did nothing but made everything complicated. The rest of the staff get rid of her and this would be a good hotel

- Leanne (10/5): Friendly, caring staff in a great place! - We really liked the rooms - very comfortable! We really like the friendly staff, too!! Really nothing
- Erik (10/5): Great suites! - Spacious suites, clean, comfortable, great bed and shower. For Europeans: there are no pedestrian pathways and no crossing. For Americans: no worries there is a lot of parking.
- Courtney (10/5): My stay was amazing, I highly recommend . - Very friendly staff, breakfast was delicious and in the suite I felt at home . Very comfortable stay I loved everything
- Dawn (8/5): Overall enjoyable except for minor inconveniences in vanity area. - Location
Kitchen area Bathroom vanity no drain stopper and very low water pressure
- Collins (10/5): -
- Kourtney (8/5): It truly was a great stay.other than a few spots that needed cleaning it was an excellent room and rate - Facilities and location were so wonderful! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was a great size and I loved that it had an apartment type feel to it. It definitely could have been a little cleaner. With that being said, it was NOT gross or filthy. Dishes in the cabinet were visibly dirty and some other spots in the room definitely had not been wiped down or cleaned. The room also had a bit of a urine smell to it (I had spray in my car that cleared it up for the most part.) Also, the phone in the room did not work.
- Sarah (9/5): Visiting family - It was peaceful
- Kurt (8/5): Worth to stay there again - Ruhige Lage
- W4404AWseans (6/5): Lackluster front desk experience - The front desk employees sit down to service you..while you're standing (awkward). Lackluster check in process, 1 was helping someone and the other just had me stand there. Aftwr waiting I decided leave and use my digital key. Unfortunately the system wasn't working. Went back to another lackluster greeting... did not feel appreciated for being a rewards member. Will look for other options next time. Hotel needs updated..
- Shoemake (9/5): Superb - Spacious, clean, great breakfast Elevator too far from everything, should be closer to the lobby
- norah50 (10/5): welcomed - 2025 March review. Overnight stop with a tour group, our experience vastly different than the 2023 reviews following. Friendly staff, clean, large quiet rooms, clean common areas. Breakfast was the typical Hilton brand offerings but added pulled pork and tortillas as Houma is a working area with shifts. felt secure, calm environment.
- Elisha (10/5): I enjoyed the room - I love the room. The breakfast was great. I loved every thing. Zero complaints.
- Linda (8/5): Very good -
- Judy (10/5): We had a great experience - Very clean and well kept Nothing

- Teresa (9/5): The stay at this hotel was very comfortable and enjoyable. - I liked the location. The shopping areas and restaurants were near the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful with dinner suggestions. None
- CurtRollTide (2/5): Canceled my reservation without any communication. - Arrived after a 4 hour drive to find the sales manager canceled my reservation earlier in the day because they needed rooms for hurricane relief workers. I’m absolutely fine with them doing that, but it would have been nice to know ahead of time. The receptionist was extremely rude and unconcerned with my situation.

- GrandTour27501258678 (2/5): Don't book at Hampton suites in houma - I booked a room over a month ago on Hilton's website. Not a third party website! I booked two queen beds and a pull out sofa couch for me my wife and our three children. This was to be our room after a long day with a wedding and reception.
We arrived at 1210 am to find out not only does the hotel not have the room we reserved but they had not contacted us by phone or email, cancelled the room, or provided a replacement option in any form and we had no room for them to give us.
After arguing with the front receptionist who also contacted her night manager and 30 minutes going by we were offered two rooms that are not connected so it would have separated us from our children.
We also asked for a refund once we learned they didn't have our room in any form and we were denied saying we had to contact corporate.
So now we have to spend more time to cancel a room that the hotel doesn't have to even give us. It makes zero sense.
It's completely unacceptable that this hotel cannot refund rooms after they give them to others when we have a reservation confirmation even for the room.
- Bikerchick1977 (2/5): Bad experience - First of all I will say the room was nice. However, the internet doesn't work and the hotel is aware of that so we had no internet therefore we couldn't watch roku on TV etc. Secondly, the water went out Saturday around 1 pm in the whole hotel and we were told no water til Monday. Very terrible. We left this morning with no showers and not sure yet if we are going to be compensated for the loss of the water.
- Resznay (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michelle (8/5): Very comfortable! - The breakfast was very fresh and tasty! I appreciated that it could be brought to our room. The location was great because it was close to stores and restaurants. It didn’t have to be so expensive. We paid about $1,300 for two rooms for three days.
- Chardeny (10/5): I had a wonderful stay here and can’t wait to go back! - Everything Nothing
- Elodie (9/5): Great stay. We will definitely come back! - Everything was great. I have to stay: it is the first hotel i am going to since COVID that offers real tableware for breakfast and not disposable one and that cleans up your room everyday. What a difference!!! The toilet was acting weird in the bathroom and the pool was crowded with a bunch of people that came together. No so nice on the second day of our stay.
- Rodney (7/5): Good -
- Jeffrey (8/5): Very good - I like the buffet breakfast The elevator is at the end of the hall.
- 280chuckh (2/5): Dirty hotel - Hard to believe how dirty this hotel is, especially the floors. Never expected from a Hilton property- likely the hotel operator is the issue. Not maintained well. Had to keep shoes on in room as floor was so bad. We were fooled my nice exterior and palm trees. We would have left immediately if it wasn't so late.
- NemoTraveler (8/5): Great hotel - We stayed two nights. The hotel is situated within a short distance to Martin Luther King Blv, making access to the local area easy, yet in a quiet and nice setting with ample parking.
Our room was spacious, quiet, reasonably clean, and equipped with the usual Homewood amenities. A good pool area was also available.
The complimentary evening social was excellent, including some nice cookies, and it was possible to enjoy it outside. Breakfast was also very good except the waffle batter, which was not up to the usual Homewood standards. Also we found the temperature in the restaurant uncomfortably cold.
- Garrett (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christen (10/5): I loved my stay here. I have no complaints at all . Will be booking here again - Everything Nothing . Everything was great
- Chris (8/5): Very good -
- Blevins (8/5): Very good -
- Hoffmann (7/5): Good -
- Dominique (10/5): Felt like we was at a vacation resort - The size and space of the the room with kitchenette was amazing.
- Nicole (10/5): Exceptional -
- Diana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jalin (1/5): Horrible. - NOTHING! I have to say this was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Their customer service is nonexistent. Myself and other guest at the hotel had to wait 30 minutes for a person to come and service us at the front desk. After she saw people waiting she still took her time to assist us. And the night time worker was even worst. The manger seems not to care at all about the issues, and brushed it off. Please find somewhere else to stay. Do not patronize this location.
- Malesia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charles (10/5): Exceptional - Nice
- Laborde (10/5): Perfect - Breakfast was great rooms clean staff friendly location great

- wtwhite2023 (2/5): Over-charged Pet Fee - I reserved a room on Hilton.com. The reservation clearly stated "Pets allowed, $50.00 non-refundable fee, $50(1-4n)". I stayed only 3 nights but was charged $75. I requested a refund at checkout and then again with a follow-up phone call. The hotel refused to refund the overage.

- Lorie (5/5): The room coul - Breakfast was ok would have been nice if they would have had butter & reg sugar..& creamer but then they didn't have any coffee or coffee cups out.. To start with coffee would have been nice..& when I asked they said they was making some, 35 minutes still no coffee..an hour later when we was leaving still no coffee..I could have made some in the room but had no reg sugar or creamer in room also..the room could have been a little better cleaned but it wasn't to bad...had a late check out but the cleaning lady was trying to get in the room at 930 in the morning but she did apologizes...the big rooms & the friendlyness of all the staff (other then kitchen help) is what will bring me back..really don't like leaving bad remarks...
- Allison (5/5): Excellent breakfast and sleeping, poor communication. - Quiet, comfortable room for sleeping and working. Excellent breakfast and good location as well. Friendly staff at the front desk and breakfast area. I don't know if this was the fault of the hotel, but I booked three rooms nearly a month ahead of time. It was not until we arrived at the hotel that we were told we had one room and the other two rooms had been overbooked and 'walked' to the Hampton Inn. For one, we had no idea what 'walked' even meant, but the other two rooms *were* comped for one night. I appreciate the problem solving, but the communication about the issue was very poor to non-existent. The facilities seemed to be fairly clean but they haven't been maintained well and are getting pretty worn.
- Lamonica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (10/5): We enjoyed the stay - convenient location nothing
- Patrick (6/5): Pleasant -
- Anonymous (9/5): overall stay was good. - Clean rooms, friendly staff No full service restaurant, no bar,
- Hugh (10/5): Exceptional -
- adreamvacation (10/5): Absolute best hotel in Houma! - My husband and I stayed here for 12 nights and were very please with the two room suite with living room and kitchen with full size fridge, 2 burner stove and dishwasher. We love the extra elbow room. The entire staff are outstanding especially Bianca and Pamela also. These ladies go above & beyond! They made us feel like family. Breakfast was very good with a different menu daily such as sausage biscuits, scrambles eggs, omelets, ham & cheese croissants, cheese grits and shrimp & grits, oatmeal, waffles and fruit. Great selections. The lobby and breakfast area are nicely done, spacious and comfortable. The onsite convenience store was well stocked with a huge variety of drinks, snacks & food along with typical vanity items and meds. I used the gym every morning and enjoyed the larger area with 2 or 3 treadmills, ellipticals and bikes along with weights, etc. The laundry room is sufficient with 2 washers and 2 dryers @ $2 each. Bring your own soap, etc. It may be available in the store but I always just bring my own. Rooms were cleaned on request only which worked fine with us. All you have to do is request towels, shampoo, etc. and they bring it right to you. We did have our room cleaned once during our stay and they did a very good job. I enjoyed the onsite outdoor pool once. Loungers were nice and the whole area was inviting. The A/C in our room was extremely good!
We ate at Boudreau & Thibodeau's and enjoyed the crab/artichoke dip, grilled shrimp, jambalaya & shrimp creole. Also, my favorite by far was Castalano's Deli for the chicken salad croissant, all the salads were amazing, philly steak & cheese sandwich, potato salad and the house cake. Enjoyed Thai at Song Phi Nong Thai and Best Bakery and Chez Cake Bakery.
Within walking distance to the hotel is a Jimmy Johns, Moe's and a Regions Bank. Across the street is Walk On's. Very close by is a large Dillard's, Sam's club and Rouses Markey grocery store.
We enjoyed Houma and coming home to Homewood Suites each night was excellent.
- Aln357 (6/5): Nice enough - Nice hotel with friendly staff. Large room and comfortable bed. All of the major items are checked off. Minor items they need to work on is housekeeping. One of the elevators smells like vomit and there is mold growing in the shower. Shampoo was half used. On the side the headboard of the bed is all scratched up and for a $200 plus room they need to pay closer attention to finder details.
- Mommaof5kiddos (6/5): A bit overpriced after we figured out all they were without - I was a tad disappointed in the lack of a swimming pool (it was green upon our arrival) especially given the price we paid. Their breakfast was ok but obviously, the hours stated versus posted versus available were all separate items. They have a washer and dryer on site but did not have any soap available for purchase - nor did they have anything really more than a couple of bags of peanut m&ms and water. I asked for an additional bag for our dirty laundry and was told they were out of them and were not offered anything else. The lack of caring on the staff's behalf was aggravating at best. I am glad our stay was only a couple of days to visit my son who was in school in the area. Also, no one ever came into the room during the 3-night stay to give us fresh towels or empty our garbage.
- SunshineNFlorida (2/5): CLOSED to the public and open to trades people - We booked our reservation last summer (2021) because we knew we would be in Houma, LA. for Mardi Gras. I checked the website three weeks ago to verified the "check-in time" and our reservation was still valid. Today, I checked our hotel reservation and it has been randomly canceled. I called the hotel directly and was advised that our reservation was canceled last Sept. 2021. WHICH IS BULL! We were never notified of any hotel damage or cancellation. WE HAVE NO HOTEL TO STAY IN FOR OUR VACATION. The Hilton Diamond Desk was useless and could care less.
- X4249ECamyf (2/5): Awful awful customer service - They cancelled my 2 room reservation, booked many months in advance, and didn’t have the courtesy to call me about it. I just so happened to call the hotel shortly before my stay and was informed ‘we can’t honor your reservation.’
I asked for the manager to call me back and haven’t heard a word since. However, I see they went ahead and cancelled my reservation on the Hilton site.
Sorry best friend, I can no longer serve in your wedding because I cannot find accommodations this close to your wedding date. Horrible, horrible experience. Especially considering that I’m a diamond member who stays exclusively at Hilton properties when traveling.
- 288anthonyr (2/5): Unprofessional Front Desk Employee, Would not Recommend At All - I arrived to this location after driving 8 hours from home, having booked my room through our travel agency my company uses. The Front Desk woman (Bionca) had an attitude right off the bat, telling me this hotel has been closed since March. I showed the other woman there my reference number I and that I had booked a room days in advance. Bionca treats me as if I'm trespassing and does not offer any assistance/apologies for the mix up, only that it's problem for the travel agency. Mind you this is after 10 pm, with very limited availability in the city. She was so rude and inconsiderate, I did not even mention I was a Platinum Member with the hotel chain. I am very disappointed in a down economy that this kind of person still has a job when there are lots of people with professional, caring attitudes like the young lady at Candlewood Suites who was able to accomodate me, even on short notice with limited rooms.
- jbrebel2 (10/5): Great place to stay! - Stayed in the Homewood Suites in Houma, La. while doing school audits. Loved everything about this hotel! Room was big and bed was very comfy. Food was very good at breakfast and at nightly social. Will definitely stay here every time I'm in Houma1
- richgirl41 (10/5): Perfect - I visit Louisiana every year sometimes twice. This is the 1st time in a while But the best experience I’ve had while visiting. Everything for me was perfect!
Thanks 😊. I will definitely visit again 😊
- yveslouisp (6/5): Cheap - Our room was messy when we arrived with the hatch of air con on the floor
We were provided with another room that was outdated.
Breakfast was far from being great
I got what I paid for. I should have been less cost conscious
- purplebobdog (6/5): Housekeeping issues - Nice enough large rooms in a newer hotel, but we were turned off by some housekeeping issues. The coffee filter/grounds were still in the coffee pot from the prior guests and there was mildew all in the shower. To me the worst was housekeeping walking in on us when there was a Do Not Disturb sign out. Didnt care and demanded to know when we were checking out (this was just after 10am!). If you stay here use that burglar/security lock thing so this doesnt happen to you.
- nationwidedna (10/5): Our stay - Excellent location & staff!! The bed was so comfortable! The food was great! Close to every thing!! Will be back!
Thank you Victoria & Pam who went above & beyond!
This is a must stay! Thank you all the way for ATL
