• Carlos (9/5): Relaxing and quiet. - Location was excellent because you crossed the street and you are in a very private and quiet beach. 15 minutes walk and you are in Main street. I would have loved if they had complimentary bicycles or even rental bikes .

We went to see the Light House, ate at a nice restaurants and enjoyed the beach - I love the fact that the beach was a walking distance and we had a wonderful view of the ocean from our window. I am not used to be at the beach without a lifeguard. It was too scary to go in the water.

• Gabriel (10/5): Great Labor Day weekend stay - Great stay at Briney Breeze for Labor Day weekend. Owner provided great service and was very accommodating, even accommodating a late night check in (9pm). Property is well maintained and rooms are nicely renovated compared to some other beach hotels in town. Hotel even provides beach chairs for the short 2-min walk across the street to quiet beach. Would stay again

• Blake (10/5): Nice place by the beach - Took a short trip out to the beaches of Long Island and stayed here. Overall, this stay was wonderful but I'd like to highlight two things over the rest: the staff were nicely responsive and the rooms were wonderfully breezy (they do mention the breeze in the name...) Arranged in basically a motel kind of setup, with all rooms facing onto a central courtyard. This place is right across the street from the beach and also has a pool. This place is roughly 3/4 mi from what felt like a main street for Montauk, with a lot of restaurants and shops. The path to walk from the hotel there was in pretty good shape and a nice walk. There is also a restaurant next door, one a little bit down the road in the other direction and you can always use the kitchen amenities in your room. Didn't need to ask for much but the few times I did, the staff were very responsive and friendly. The weather was wonderful when I was there and the room I was in had windows that allowed a wonderful breeze to keep the room pleasant. Also the bed was wonderful for a good night's rest. Otherwise, the room and amenities were in good order.

• Joanne (10/5): Between the pool and the beach, we had a very fun and relaxing vacation. Highly recommend it! - I liked everything. I thought the resort was beautiful. I loved the heated pool and the short distance to the beach. The suite was very clean and airy. I loved our private balcony with the amazing view of the pool and ocean. I liked that my son had his own room and entrance. I liked that it was a short drive to town and that the lighthouse was not that far by car. The owners are a delightful couple who went out of their way to make sure everything was satisfactory. I liked everything, but perhaps there could be some vending machines with snacks. Since breakfast is not included, perhaps distribute free breakfast/lunch coupons to nearby places. I also think that it should have been communicated that there are so many steps to get to the beach after you cross the street. My husband and son offered these suggestions: The pool could be larger; maybe ping pong tables on the lawn... Perhaps there should be some sort of indoor recreation room with a pool table and board games, in case of bad weather. Fortunately, it did not rain at all.

• Ching (10/5): A great resort close to the beach - I love the location of this property, close to the beach and the town. I stayed in a large room with two full-size beds. There are three windows, with one facing the ocean. The room has a stove, refrigerator and dishwasher. This is my 2nd time visiting of the resort. I will return. The shampoo holder in the shower is too high.

The hotel itself is beautiful, and the location couldn't be better – the beach is literally just across the street. I loved how convenient it was to access various restaurants and activities in the area. The owner was incredibly welcoming and genuinely kind, which made a big difference. My room was comfortable, and I really enjoyed the space. Overall, a truly great experience and I can't wait to come back.

• Barbara (6/5): Probably won’t stay there again. - We stayed here last year and loved it. We were on the north side and I could see the ocean and sunrise from everywhere in the room. This time, we were on the east side, to see the ocean I had to be standing in the doorway. You couldn’t see the water from anywhere else in the room. Since the weather was cold, grey, and windy, ( obviously not the fault of the property owners) I was in the room a lot. It was disappointing to not be able to sit and watch the water. See above

Only issues were that there was no closet space to hang clothes and no luggage rack for a bag. Used the kitchen table to set bags on and the coat hooks to hang some clothes up. Also no clothes iron or ironing board - brought a portable steamer.

We loved everything about the wonderful staff who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable in every way! The kitchen was very well equipped for dining with ocean views - it was just a short trip into town for fresh fish, local wine, and groceries. The spacious studio apartment was professionally cleaned every day and the towels and linens of the highest quality. The grounds were beautifully landscaped and immaculately maintained and there were numerous grills and outdoor seating options. A bonus was a perfect view of the sunrise and the full "bass" moon from our rooms window. Thank you Jen and staff.

The kitchens has everything you will need - full fridge, stove, oven, microwave, etc. There is also a large lawn with tons of grills, picnics tables, chairs, umbrellas, and cornhole. The owners were fantastic, very accommodating and helpful. No complaints! No pets allowed

The owner (we think that’s who it was) was SO kind, friendly and generous. Our room was perfect and the sheets smelled amazing. Only complaint was that the bed was creaky with most movement, being ear plugs lol. Really a delightful stay with a wholesome atmosphere for kids and families.

The attitude of the owner ruined our experience, he was pretty rude. Also the place doesn’t have entertainment of any kind , you can do barbecue outside , and it is far away from main places (though close enough to the lighthouse ), the beach was dirty with a lot of fish bones and very stiff sand. Overall we didn’t like .

• Ching (10/5): A Room with a Great View - I am a solo world traveler. I love Montauk and I am glad that I found the Hartmans' Briney Breezes Beach Resort. The location of the resort is close to the center of the town, where restaurants, bars, grocery stores, bank and shops are around. One of the best features is that the resort is next to the ocean front. I see the water from the balcony, and I hear the sound of the wave from my bed. The 2-queen size bed studio with a bathroom and a kitchen, is very clean. The bed is very comfortable. The grounds of the resort is beautifully groomed. I will be back, with my family, next time!
