Guest Reviews
- LUIS RAMON (1/5): -
- Anna (7/5): Inexpensive and comfortable for a one night stay - The managers were wonderful I didn’t expect much from a motel. Just a bed for one night. It was warm and the beds were comfortable
- Benedith (5/5): Very uncomfortable - Nothing good about this place and is so expensive.. Nothing
- Summer (3/5): -
- Josephine (10/5): -
- Doris (3/5): - Nothing really. Bad experience over all Room didn’t seem cleaned. Smelly! Even the check in office stunk. Bed was uncomfortable and the price for that motel is ridiculous!! I could have stayed at nicer hotels for that same amount of money. Only stayed at that place out of convenience since you could check in at 11 am versus 3-4 pm with other hotels.

- Adrian (10/5): Nothing - Everything Nothing
- Melanie (10/5): -
- Paula (10/5): Very good - We enjoyed our stay here, the service was great and the room was clean.
- Sharrman (2/5): - Terrible... No A/C had to go buy one, food splashes on the walls, both(Entery & Restroom)doors had smugges all over them, housekeeping needs to pay more attention to detail only had 4 stations to watch, you get hair towels instead of body towels to dry off with, bed is hard as hell couldn't even sleep, carpet was sticky when you walked on it, your shoes would stay behind. Last day I saw a roach crawling on the wall. I have work in the Motel/Hotel industry and I never left my property dirty & unkept. This place has gone to hell since the last time I stayed. I won't be going back.
- Roch (6/5): - Location The room condition was a joke. Needs major updating in a really bad way.
- yvan (3/5): - Un motel, sans surprise, propre, proche des autoroutes Personne ne s’est plaint ou n’a entendu les infrabasses toute la nuit? Pas dormi.
- DAWN (2/5): - This place should be shut down. Pretty sure they had bed bugs
- Shelley (1/5): I got bedbugs! - Location It was run-down. The floors were sticky, the carpet stained. And I got bedbugs.
- charly_ey (2/5): Ungepflegte Einrichtung - Lage Perfekt Sauberkeit und Gesamteindruck mangelhaft, ehemaliger Pool ist Gemüsebeet, viele Dauermieter

- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Reg (8/5): Very good -
- Miranda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jay (4/5): - A 1960's style motel with no amenities, not even in-room instant coffee, that doesn't appear to have been renovated since it was built.
- David (1/5): Bad - Said pool. Pool was a weed garden. Said air condition,no air contdition,Said they would be on tomorrow! Room was an oven first room was filthy. Moved k room and went and got groceries came back to realize this room had no microwave and the fridge didn't work. Used the bathroom. Toilet didn't flush and was clogged. Turned on the sink and water started pouring out of the shower floor. It was disgusting. I don't even know how it isn't condemned.

- Salmon (8/5): I would stay here again. - sheets and bed were clean and comfortable. No bad smell in room. guy at desk was very nice. liked the refrigerator 2 small roaches found in room, killed, did not find any more. floor was sticky to walk on by the front door. wi fi was very slow, finally gave up.
- Devika (4/5): - The rooms were very dingy and felt unclean. The bed mattresses were in such bad condition that I could not sleep whole night and the highway noise was so high that I finally checked out the next day. The towels were like rags and property is very dilapidated and felt unsafe though the front desk staff were very nice and helpful. This should be dubbed as a very low budget hotel
- Kim (2/5): - The room was utterly deplorable. Snot on the wall, sticky floor, filthy towels with hair & water only dribbled out of the shower head. Returned the key immediately & left. Asked for a full refund…. Not confident they will do the right thing and give a refund. Found 1000% better lodging for not much more $
- Karole (5/5): Passable - Location is sight I clicked online 2 beds but they put me in a king bed. I asked a paper of receipt for each nights. They didn’t give me. They NEED more work on English at night. When I checked out, no visible to see thru window to drop key off. Not friendly staff in office!
- Jim (4/5): - Poor condition
- Kenneth (8/5): Very spacious and clean room in an excellent location. - The location was excellent Some odor, and floor was sticky the first night but apparently it was cleaned up after the first night.
- Randall (8/5): Very good -
- Jonathan (1/5): Horrible. - Nothing since I couldn’t stay there. They couldn’t take me in the night for my reservation so I had to find somewhere else to stay. They also didn’t give me a refund.
- Charles (9/5): Superb -
- Alejandro (5/5): Passable -
- Xiaohui (2/5): Very poor -
- Lenore (7/5): Good - Great staff. Wonderful people. They are doing the best with what they're given and they have a beautiful garden. The price.
- Stefan (2/5): Run, if you can. - The rate Run down property. I didn't expect much thanks to the reviews, and it was even worse. The A/C did not work and was never fixed despite extremely high temperatures. I booked it for some poor guy, but felt bad about my decision. I had no choice because of lack of transportation.
Stay away from this establishment.
- James (2/5): Choose somewhere else - Dirty, run down, and beat up. Kind a creepy
- Shane (6/5): Pleasant -
- Trey (7/5): Good -
- Ricky (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ricky (10/5): Exceptional -
- Virginia (4/5): - no security latch on door just turn button knob, bugs in shower, light switch in bathroom had pieces of wall missing all around cigarette burns on sink top and furniture dried ketchup on nightstand, paint missing in splotches on all woodwork, tv did not work, next day woke up with bites on body---bedbugs? will never go there again
- Brian (4/5): Disappointing -
- Charles (2/5): - No air conditioning dirty bathroom
- Kish (9/5): good value - all was good, keep doing as you are all was good
- Crystal (8/5): Very good -
- Alezandra (1/5): Bad - I’ve stay in Essex a few only because of the early check in but the room is always very dirty from the sheets to the towels and the bathroom it’s always very dirty, last time I stay there, the electricity went out. The whole place needs a deep cleaning and remodeling, with new bedding and towels, it could be better.
- Jaramillo (1/5): Bad - My husband and I were ate up by bed bugs and they will not refund your money
- BRADLEY (2/5): - This motel was absolutely awful. Crack heads banging around outside all night. It was filty and run down to the point the whole place should be bulldosed. The only positive is that I didn't get bit by bedbugs.
- Chris (2/5): - This place is a dump not worth 35.00 per nite. Beds are old rooms dated and no necessarily as clean as one would expect from a hotel.
- Stephanie (8/5): Very good - Awesome customer service Na
- Laurel (2/5): DO NOT STAY HERE. - The room was nothing short of grim. It looked like a bomb shelter, minus the charm. The mattress was thin, noisy, and slanted up in the middle by a giant spring. Next to the bed was a lamp with no bulb. The door was very flimsy and only had one small lock. I didn't know towels that bad even existed. There were no amenities other than the world's smallest bar of soap, and very dried up packets of shampoo/lotion. The "tv" was a small computer monitor in the middle of a huge wall. The owner tried to collect a $5 cash deposit "for the key," which seemed like a sick joke, given the state of things. This was not worth anything close to the $80 we paid.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - This motel is very economical and as a result bare bones with respect to amenities. It was clean and functional has not been refurbished in decades. Our nonsmoking room was filled with smoke so we had to get another. It took me many phone calls/emails to get my money back for 2 unused nights after we checked out (to there credit, we did get our money back in full).
- Cathy (1/5): It was awful. - Dirty,
- George (5/5): Passable -
- Jairo (5/5): Good for a quick stay. - Prices are affordable and you can pay cash. The size of the room I rented was great. Location is convenient, near downtown Littleton. No A/C. The mini fridge and microwave were not clean and smelly.
- Andrew (1/5): This hotel needs to be shut down - The location was terrible. Nothing good about this hotel at all The area was dirty. The staff was in helpful and the room had bedbugs and the hotel refused to give me a refund People were outside doing drugs and screaming at all times of the night
- Courtney (2/5): - Didn’t even get to stay there. They didn’t have a room available despite the fact that we booked it. Staff didn’t care at all about our inconvenience. They were so rude.
- Matt (2/5): - This property had an AC issue. Apparently for weeks they were not booking reservations. But they failed to notify me prior to my check in. Expedia, was not very helpful either. They let me know I would not have to pay for the room I didn’t get!
- Crystal (7/5): Good -
- Leslie (1/5): Bad - Paid for the room arrived and was told the A/C didn't work so I stayed 1 night and left it was too hot.
- Tamika (1/5): Bad - Staff Were Very Friendly The Place Needs Better Maintenance Men And Housekeeping It Was Just Run Down
- De (8/5): Very good -
- Merten (4/5): Disappointing -
- Brian (1/5): Bad -
- Crystal (5/5): Passable -
- Jennifer (6/5): - A few cockroaches....tub was dirty
- Michael (1/5): Terrible place - Nothing Everything
- Eric (4/5): not here - Photos' of the facility have not been update for 20 years, nether have the appliances. Air conditioner only blows cool air and the carpet was spongy.
- Tamika (1/5): Bad - The Staff Were Very Friendly The Place Was Dirty My Shower Was Backed up and my toilet the shower was cracked Sheets Were Dirty Just Dirty Everywhere Worst Hotel Stay Ever Actually!!!
- Steve (2/5): Make it a parking lot! - Motel was great in 1968, hasn’t been maintained. Curtains were pieces of shower curtains. No tissues provided, mold in the shower, only chair was a restaurant style, dresser drawer was broken, stains on tile floor, closet shelf was stained and dirty. For the price, I was robbed.
- Dozer (9/5): Just because - Comfortable bed, great staff. Good value for the area. Buy a week for just the view of the mountains Too much rain, parking lot flooded, not much within walking distance.
- Justin (8/5): Very good -
- LARRY L (10/5): - Fun motel!
- Jeffrey (1/5): DO NOT GO! AVOID AT ALL COST. FIND ANYWHERE ELSE. - Nothing. Terrible experience. Smelled of smoke, blood /human feces suspected to be on bathroom floor. Used washcloths in the shower. Cardboard taped to vents, window curtains are shower curtains. Bedding not clean. Flith on walls. Frig is dirty. Microwave oven is dirty. Bathroom door falling off. Giant stains on floor. Unacceptable. Had to sleep in car with wife, 3 kids and a dog. Was a 10 hour trip and we just wanted to shower and sleep.Awaiting my refund.
- Mcdonald (4/5): Disappointing -
- Luisa (5/5): it’s a convienent location but needs to updated - location convenient parking lot not cleaned up from storm, icy on the parking lot
- Luisa (4/5): I think it should be at least $49 per night - it’s a place to be , and not out in the cold weather the bed was hard, the microwave didn’t have the glass plate, I was afraid to use it, and the towels were hard
- Luke (7/5): Good -
- Nicole (5/5): Passable -
- Mcdonald (4/5): Disappointing - No breakfast offered. Location was good, close to where I needed to go Sat. I haven't stayed at the Essex for a few years and I was impressed they finally upgraded the rooms, except the curtains had to be taped on both sides for privacy. Anyone walking by could look right in. Also the heater in my room was so loud I could barely hear the TV unless I shut it off, which was not an option as it was very cold Fri. nite. Also, I spotted cockroaches in the bathroom.
- Brieanna (9/5): Superb -
