william (2/5): - After seeing the room I asked for my money back because I didn't want to stay there, and they said no. Very very unfriendly place, pot smoking in the hallways, cranking music in the halls. Asked then to ask the neighbors to turn it down and they said no. I would like my money back. Had to leave and pay for another place because it was just easy too bad.
MATTHEW (2/5): - The owner got pissed at me when i asked for a different room. The tv didnt work and it was right next to the front desk where she was holding her screaming baby. The new room was right next door to a rap concert with a gand bang going on. There is filth all over the walls. Place is unkept. They clearly dont spend a dime unless they have to.

Companion10282721964 (2/5): Noone ever answered, don't book online expecting someone to let you in - Well I can't write much of a review, I guess I showed up in the middle of the night, which after covid is after dark. It was Midnight l, just took a long haul on a motorcycle from home near Yellowstone going to Iowa. I it was raining and I got soaked so stopped about 30 miles away and almost booked online but I figured I'd just go pay cash. Tried calling but no answer I figured the person working was probably napping or busy that time of night so I cruised over and went inside, noone there. Obviously I didn't start yelling at a hotel, I even coasted my loud bike in, but it didn't matter it's loud. Sat around the lobby for quite awhile and nobody was comming, called. Heard phone ringing and noone to answer. From what I gather it would have been what I expected at that price, a decently clean yet outdated place to take a quick nap. Fine by me but after a while I felt awkward sitting there and left. To say the least I'm Glad I didnt book online. Go down 90 about 20 or less miles to Jakes corner motel for a pleasant surprise in hospitality and attention to detail

Our friend's room key stopped working in the morning, so he couldn't get back into his room even though it was well before che ckout time. Room was nice and had the SOFTEST sheets and comforter! steven (8/5): Was good the first visit - Stopped in Kimball SD which is 1/2 way to Sturgis Rally for us on way there price was good $57.00 Didn't look like much from the outside but rooms were clean and updated. Decent LED TV WiFi and best of all Ditty's Bar and restaurant across the lot. Good bbq, breakfast and friendly service. Came back again 2 weeks later on way home and hotel charged $87.00 asked why he just shrug his shoulders?

The bathroom toilet had old urine marks running down bowl to floor, hair in corners of dirty bathroom floor, no body lotion, exposed light socket in bathroom ceiling. The only pillows were covered in shams and each had a smell of either hair products or someone’s head. I asked for new cases and the worker seemed annoyed. New cases smelled like ramen noodles- not fresh laundry. Carpet had stains (pet stains?). Pro- bed was comfy, ac worked, quiet, good location off highway for traveling.

FLSTCguy (6/5): Not bad for one night. - About what you would expect at this price. I paid $65 with the tax. Owners are from India and not very easy to understand. Lobby smells like Indian food. Rooms are decent but the walls were kind of dirty. Bathroom and shower were fine. Was hot in the room when I arrived, but cooled off quickly after I turned the A/C on. Room had a refrigerator but no microwave. There was a microwave in the lobby that I used. Good Ice maker in the hallway. Beds were fine. A good place to stay one night while passing through the area. This was my second time staying here. They have a tiny, fold up, POS luggage "cart" available for use in the entry way. The lobby has a sign that says "Breakfast 6:30-9:30am" and they have napkins and plastic silverware and a toaster sitting out on the counter. But the only thing that they had the morning I was there, was a half full coffee pot. No breakfast food. Overall, a decent place for a one night stay.

There was a funky smell in the room,it’s very run down there were small whiskers on the sink and top of the toilet tank from someone shaving, gross! The shower curtain rod was broken so the shower curtain slipped in the middle and water was all over the floor all someone had to do was put a screw in the shower rod. Go down the road another 30 minutes or so and pay a little more it would be worth it! Don’t stay in this filthy smelly place.
Jellomo (8/5): Not bad just don’t expect a diamond! - I got stuck with bad thunderstorms on the freeway. So I stopped at this exit for the night. I am torn on how to write this review. For a little hotel in the middle of nowhere, this is not a bad choice! And for the price it got me through the night. For the most part, the hotel was clean, but lacking attention to detail. The rooms were clean and the sheets were clean. The beds were made. I make my bed better in the morning than that! My biggest concern was they have pillow shams for pillowcases. Are they getting washed? Each bed only had two pillows, which were the ones with pillow shams on them. I would feel much more comfortable if they were white pillowcases. The towels were folded sloppily and mismatched, but all white. Check-in was easy and friendly enough. I had to go get the Wi-Fi password. The keys to the room were in a little key envelope that must have been five years old. I’m sure they do not get a ton of business since they are just west of Mitchell but so many of these details don’t cost anything! The parking lot is in rough shape, but the town itself is a little farm town, so that didn’t bother me too much. It’s the garbage and cigarette butts right outside the main entrance of the hotel on the ground that bothered me. Again attention to the detail is lacking. I even remade one of the beds to give them an idea of how they could look so much more updated and more appealing without spending any money. For their value price, they are so close to getting an even better rating than on here!

Ashley (8/5): - Clean room, great hot shower, close to diner and gas station right off the highway. Could use some updates but great for 1 night stop while passing through. Diner in gas station has great breakfast and bar and grillclub vega in town was amazing as well. Glad we stopped here.

The room was literally just off the lobby, so we heard EVERY single person that came through the lobby- did not love this part. The room itself wasn't the cleanest (stain on carpet, crumbs in corners), however the bed/sheets appeared clean. Overall it was OK for the price and just needing a place to sleep.

Pulled back the covers and there was a dirty crumpled up kleenex. Managers solution was to begrudgingly give me "clean" sheets so I could change the bedding myself.

Negatives- parking lot was in rough shape, exterior of the hotel looked pretty dingy, remote control for TV did not work well, toilet ran after flushing. Positives- room was clean and bed was comfortable. It was conveniently located right off the interstate and it was quiet. All in all I was pretty happy with the stay. It wasn’t fancy but it was adequate. There’s a nice place for breakfast in the same parking lot- Ditty’s Diner. There a bar and restaurant, only had breakfast there but they served other meals as well.

Kathleen (6/5): Appearances Matter - We were disturbed to find a piece of food on the floor at the corner of the bed and a used towel hanging on the bathroom hook. When you see things like this, it makes you wonder what you can’t see. Everything else looked clean so we hope it was. A couple of the washcloths should be replaced, as they were mismatched and worn to thread-bare with holes. Lobby was super hot but our room temperature was able to be adjusted so we were comfortable in the room. We got in late and even though our room was right off the lobby, it was very quiet. Looked like there should be a breakfast so it was strange when everything was just empty in the morning. Our reservation didn’t state a breakfast would be available, so it wasn’t completely unexpected, just weird that they have all the appearances of a breakfast and don’t offer one. It was strange to see several Christmas decorations up in the lobby, since it is the middle of June. In an area above the rooms there were a bunch of unkempt boxes shoved/stored. There was just an overall feel that appearances don’t matter, and they do. A bag with dog poop in it was in a plant outside both when we arrived and when we left still in the morning and our room had a Super 8 sign on the door. Little things mean a lot and these are easy fixes. Our room stated it was a suite with excellent ratings. There was a queen and king bed, fridge, coffee pot, microwave, and jetted tub, so maybe that is the difference. Just one room isn’t usually called a suite.

I finally had enough when they drank enough whiskey to get into an argument. Worst experience ever!! I paid for a room and the OWNER was loud and obnoxious! I opened my door and gave a look. They finally broke up the party. Never ever will I stay here again!! I’ll sleep on the sidewalk before I stay here!! Drive on and stay clear!!!!

robertcJ4182AF (10/5): Dog friendly but some guests aren't. - This is hands down the very best place I've stayed at in every respect the last 10 days on the road driving cross-country and I kind of wish we would have stayed here the whole time. Best of all it's dog-friendly only charging $10 extra. I was planning staying an extra few days but someone complained about my dog barking a little bit at another dog as they passed each other going out for a walk and the manager told me I couldn't stay. I understand he doesn't want the negative review that will inevitably get posted online but it's unfortunate that people are so sensitive and quick to complain about an advertised pet-friendly motel where they actually heard a dog bark a little. Not incessantly but a hello bark with a wagging tail. On the plus side, I have to say the beds are so comfortable and luxurious and my wife wants to get the same comforter for my bed at home.

Jeremiah (6/5): Night in Kimbal - I got in quite late and the hotel was cheap. The “receptionist” was wearing a white cotton vest, dressed in shorts, some flip flop things and he was eating and coughing. Didn’t inspire confidence. In the room there were decorative pillows but no actual pillows. I used a t-shirt and pulled it over the decorative pillow.

The only complaint I really have is that the front desk attendant made it a point to say on every interaction that the room rates were lowered to allow a larger tip for the cleaning staff, and to please tip more. My family always leaves something for them as it is, I really don't need to be "guilted" into giving more money. I'd just soon rather pay the slightly higher fee knowing the cleaners are going to make more on every room, not being so dependant on tips!

Daryl (4/5): - Not sure what the issue was with the a/c not working throughout the building but it was uncomfortable. Luckily the room a/c worked. The bed was old and hard as a rock which was uncomfortable. Only stayed one night and expected breakfast that morning, but none was to be had. Will not stay at this place again.
