Guest Reviews
- James (7/5): Cottage was not well maintained and it wasn't clean a lot of issues - Pool was great There were about a 1/2 dozen issues with the cottage we stayed in.
It wasn't clean.
TV barely worked pull out bed. Was program dryer ruined 3 outfit? Due to filter being broken and not in it
- Rebecca (6/5): Cabin wasn’t very clean - The bed was comfortable Tv was fuzzy the whole time
Coffee pot wasn’t clean still coffee from last people
Dried up contacts on bed side table
- Barb (8/5): Good stay near national park. - Good location. The cottage is nice but in need of a few upgrades like the couch is completely worn out. It was nice having a washer and dryer and loved being able to use the kitchen also. Nice bed.
- Xin (2/5): - It’s nice and quiet, a waterfront campground. However bed doesn’t have quilt, and only two medium size towels. Also one of the screen door is broken.
- Terence (10/5): - Cottage and the grounds are clean and well maintained. Quiet. Great proximity to Acadia National Park stores, restaurants, other services.
- Joanne (8/5): - Our cabin was ideal for two people. Very clean and had everything we needed.
- Donald (7/5): Good -
- Brenda (8/5): Everything was excellent until we left and could not get in touch with staff regarding lost items. - All amenities included in cottage, cosy, clean, many conveniences. Pool was perfect, location was awesome, full kitchen was invaluable! Was so nice to leave bustle of "downtowns" but have them close when we wanted. Camp store very convenient. We left a small bag of souvenirs behind, left message via booking app and multiple voicemails. None were answered. Would have gladly paid to ship my girls "treasures" and whatever fees that would entail but not even a return call? I hope the staff enjoyed them?
- Timmy (10/5): - This was our first time to Maine. This camp ground was excellent. We stayed in a cottage. The cottage had a queen bed, full bath, full kitchen, living room, tv, couch with a pull out bed and a small dining area as well as two porches. I would definitely return due to the great location and distance to Acadia and Bar Harbor.
- Richard (8/5): - We stayed in the red cottage. It was mostly comfortable, although a little crowded with four of us. It was clean and met our needs while visiting Acadia National Park.
- Colleen (10/5): - We were very pleased! Great location and reasonably priced.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice cottage. Don’t do the online checkin- - they still require you to sign paperwork in the office between 9-5.
- Kate (8/5): Great location, quiet campground - Beautiful setting, great facilities. Only problem was that some of the facilities were closed because of COVID, didn’t realize that when we booked our stay.
- Natalie (10/5): Great Cabin for the Family - We stayed in the little yellow cabin and it was great! It's compact, but had everything we needed! There's even a tiny kitchen. We had 3 kids sleeping in the loft and one on the pull-out couch, and we slept in the bedroom. Everything is a bit dated and could use some updates, but it was comfortable and clean. Just a short drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor. We only used the public restrooms a couple of times but they were very clean and in working order.
- Verified traveler (10/5): First time "glamping" - Beautiful spot. Very friendly, down-to-earth hosts. Close to Acadia. Economic way to have extended family stay too. Loved it! Will come again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Hooks in cabin put in inconvenient, hard to access places on wall. No table. Mattresses uncomfortable -- compressed foam.
- Drew (10/5): Nice Cabin, convenient location for Acadia - We were really happy with our experience in one of their log cabins which comfortably fit our family. The staff was very nice and helpful, it's convenient to get to Acadia National Park, and there's even a bus stop so you can get to Bar Harbor without needing to drive and hunt for parking.
- karen (8/5): - Very nice campground and very nice Location. The staff was very nice and informative.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The overall staff and facility was fine however, we would not stay here again. We stayed in the cabins and the mattress was so thin it felt like we were laying on the floor. Our main problem was with the toilet by the cabins. The waste from the toilet was leaking out of perforations in the tubing that was meant to take it to the septic. We alerted the office staff who promptly told maintenance. Maintenance attended to the problem by placing duct tape over the holes in the tubing, which did not entirely fix the problem. It is unacceptable to fix a waste problem this way. It is a health hazard to have waste possibly come in contact with ground water and I am shocked that it wasn't fixed properly with new tubing.
- Lori (10/5): "Camping" - We loved the location! The cabins were fin. Remember you are "camping" so there are no bathrooms in the cabin. It was an excellent experience. Office staff a little snappy.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice little cottage on the way to acadia - I have stayed in cottages at other camping resorts before, but I think because this place only has RV's it made the bathrooms much cleaner and there was a lot less traffic. The resort was full, but it just didn't seem to be super busy and we kind of felt like we had the place to ourselves. It was a little far from Acadia, considering we drove back and forth multiple times a day. But if you can plan accordingly and only drive onto the island once a day, it's fine.
- Christine (2/5): No room for us at arrival - In July I reserved 4 nights in August through Expedia. The confirmation emails came stating there was no need to reconfirm. On the day of our arrival they did not have the cabin nor our reservation! The assistant manager spent all her time blaming Expedia and was no help in resolving our immediate lodging problem. There was no where else to book and Fortunately I knew that on MDI during the high season all motels alert the chamber with cancellations so I did find much more expensive accommodations on my own. Let's just say this was a very stressful and angry experience on my part...autistic child involved ...you get the picture. My biggest frustration was with the management. Inexperienced and not properly trained. I will not stay at this or any associated property again.
- Eric (10/5): Great place to stay for the price! - Stayed here to go to Acadia (only 15 min away) and paid about $68 / night for 5 people to stay in one cabin. It was a great experience!
The bath / showers are separate from the cabin, and about a ~500 meter walk, but even when it was about 28 degrees F outside, the showers were quite warm and comfortable, and the bathrooms were very clean!
Joanne was very accommodating, especially for late-night check-in, and the next morning gave us maps and pointers to talk with the Park Rangers on where we should run and hike to get to know Acadia - very great advice!
- EJ (6/5): Good cabin - I was surprised there was no stove or hot place, even thought it stated that there was a kitchenette. All there was was a mini fridge and microwave. The bathroom was clean but the water in the sinks and showers did not flow well. It was annoying having to wait so long for the water to heat up.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good location - This was a good place to stay. The location was convenient to all of the destinations we wanted to see. The only down side was the noise from the planes at the local airport flying over. The showers at the shower house could use some work, not very much water pressure. The staff was very helpful and offered assistance with "local" insight as to where to park and eat. That was very useful and appreciated. Check in was very easy and so was check out.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Camping cabins near Bar Harbor, Maine - There were cobwebs in the upper part of the cabin, near the upper bunkbeds. I don't how thorough the cabins are cleaned between renters. The cabins are about a 30 min drive from downtown Bar Harbor. The water pressure in the showers are pretty low.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice place - Good cabins, right on Highway 3 for direct access to Acadia, good facilities including clean bathrooms and a bus stop for the Island Explorer bus. Highly recommended place.
