Guest Reviews
- Jesse (8/5): - If you rent the cabins, don’t smoke inside.
Bear Cave is beautiful but for that expensive of a trip I better be able to smoke where I want. Even on the front porch is fine.
- Arthur (8/5): - Cabin was nice & clean. Road coming in needs some attention for road work.
- Lynele (10/5): - The cave and waterfall are fascinating features, and the forest is magnificent. Life is quiet at the campground.
- Olga Guzman (2/5): - Lugares donde caminar
- Mary (10/5): - Well maintained campground. Cabin was very clean. Pool was just the right temperature.
- Judit (8/5): Would come again - It had AC which was a great break from the humid hot weather outside. Online it said linen would be provided but it wasn’t until the day of that we found out there wasn’t any because of Covid so that sucked because we had to go search for some. Specific kitchen amenities weren’t listed but they had everything-oven, refrigerator, microwave, and a toaster. There were even plates, bowls, and utensils.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful location, helpful staff, comfortable cabins.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We had poor or no TV reception during our entire stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Wish we could have stayed longer - We stayed in one of the cabins. The campground is filled mostly with RV. The cabin was very clean and had all the basic amenities. We just needed a place to stay, which it provided very adequately for our family with kids, but could have been a place to stay at and enjoy with the pool, river, and other possibilities for activities on the campground.
- Lynn (6/5): Price was right - Cabin was not that clean overall. Lacked enough bedding and towels. Beds were not comfortable. Ants in kitchen. Hit water not always available. Good heater, nice screened in porch, plenty of dishes and cookware. Recently updated.
- Thomas (10/5): Very clean cottage and friendly service. - We liked the city, Buchanen, MI.
- Jennifer A (10/5): Nice little place to escape everyday life - It was the perfect getaway for our family of 4 (two small children) the campground was clean, friendly staff, friendly campers and the walking trails, playground and swimming pool were also a nice bonus
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great DIY Room - Jumped in for two nights while on a trip to a Notre Dame football game. Place looked brand new. Just remember to bring your own pillow, towel, sheets and soaps; a blanket is provided.
- Frank (10/5): Awesome place - This was a perfect place to stay, not over priced and a great size, very clean and friendly staff!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff was very nice and helpful. It looks like they are doing a lot of updates so overall it was very nice. I think
Bear Cave has improved a lot from the last stay. They have put more cabins on site and they are very nice. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. I have seen a lot of negative comments but didn't see any negative staff or anything while I was there. The only thing would have been nice was to have wifi and maybe more that a couple of channels on tv but I have to think of it like this maybe it is also nice to get away from that.
Thank you Bear Cave staff for helping us make memories!
