The room was clean enough but we found the dining chairs coated with dust. See above

- Kae2311 (10/5): Nice holiday accommodation - I liked that we had enough space to open two large suitcases in the floor and we could still have drinks at table while watching tv. It would have been better if the AC worked a bit better (cooler and faster)

- Whanake (5/5): I mean i only stayed 1 night but yes it was good for value. - Tv Location
- Todd (6/5): Value for money and it was sufficient for 1 night stay - Spacious rooms The toilet was a little small and the hand liquid soap was dripping thick on the bathroom vanity sink.
- Kelly (5/5): Usually great stay, this time it lacked a little. Would request not to stay in this particular room again but would go b - Great sized TV, comfy bed Have stayed here several times, not as happy with this room. Shower was terrible, not enough pressure for the size of the head and leaked out one side when trying to get enough height. Not enough cutlery, plates or glasses
- Neil (8/5): - Older style motel but well maintained and clean Nothing

- Wil (10/5): -
- Matthew (5/5): It is okay, and decent but it could do with a lot of improvements. - I liked that the room was fairly big and a decent size. Location not too bad from the main part of town. Firstly, the water from the tap is awful to drink. They really need to fix their plumbing. Secondly the air conditioner is old and very noisy. You can hear the heater and air conditioner in someone else's room. The heater and air conditioner should be replaced with something new. Lastly, I didn't like the idea that you only get your room serviced every 3 days. This basically means you only get your serviced after you leave. And you have to pay $15 extra to have the room serviced everyday which I think is bad. It is lazy service. Especially when you are paying around $130 a night. The bed is very soft. They need to change it to a more harder bed.
- Narelle (1/5): Terrible - Nothing There was no hot water for the spa bath , the fridge was leaking, the heater was so loud , the bed was on castors & moved , no tissues in the room & a dead spider in my bed
- Helena (5/5): It was convenient, quiet but dated. - It was quiet , plenty of parking. It was very dated. We only had 2 towels for 3 people.
- Michelle (7/5): -
- Brian Austin (8/5): - Comfy bed Bit far out of town, no easy food outlets, town was rather closed on a Monday night.
- Ebony (7/5): Very cozy and quiet. - Incredibly cozy bed would love to know who their mattress supplier is! The switches next to the bed for the tv and fridge, very odd. My husband kept knocking them and accidentally turning everything off.
- Philip (7/5): - Nice spot for very short stay, location good, cost excellent.
- Natalie (9/5): Great owners 😊 suited our needs - Great owners 😊 suited our needs
- GRAEME (9/5): -
- Stephen (4/5): Whalers Rest - not so restful - It was clean!
Plenty of room to park. Only two towels provided for a two night stay for three people!
Bathroom was extremely small, barely enough room to turn around …
shower screen was cracked in one section
basin not deep enough to fill the jug properly
not enough space around the basin to wash dishes
no storage for personal toiletries
Crockery provided was inadequate … two plates for three people and one of them was chipped!
Cutlery was so mismatched it looked like it came from an op shop purchase.
Beds were well used - they “sunk” when you laid on them (not in a soft and comfortable way!)
Old electrical points need to be better covered up.
Bedside lamps’ controls could not be easily accessed.
WiFi was definitely inadequate for the rooms; it continually dropped out whilst attempting to watch anything.
In all honesty, this motel needs a complete makeover to meet current standards and customer expectations for a relaxing stay as it was a very disappointing stay for us in a break we had been really looking forward to.
- John (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ellen (6/5): - Had to give cradit card number over phone as no staff at reception, at another site.
- Mandie (10/5): - The gentleman in the office was lovely. Made me feel very welcomed. I would stay here again. Thanks.
- Chris (8/5): Business Stay - Clean, comfortable, quiet and good size room. Bed was good to sleep in. Shower was a little cold the 2nd night. But overall a good stay
- Mike (6/5): - Air conditioner extremely noisy but otherwise not bad
- Lois (9/5): Excellent and management was helpful and friendly! -
- Anthony (7/5): Space. - Spacious rooms. Nothing
- Michelle (8/5): Very good -
- Darren (8/5): Very good -
- Sally (8/5): Very good - Good price
Clean room
Comfortable bed Bathroom was a bit tight
- Sawyer (10/5): A great overnight stay for a fishing trip. - Very convenient location. Safe and secure parking for car and boat. Very quiet and easy access to the town centre. Very comfortable and clean room. A little pricey for off-peak season.
- Anne (7/5): It was quiet and easy to get to once the address was sorted after a phone call to find it! - Convenient to park at the front of your room The directions to the motel were not correct. We ended up in the carpark of a church in town instead of where it was a few kms out on the highway
Very bouncy bed
Had to drive to all food outlets
Very small bathroom
Very worn out lounge chair
- Graham (4/5): Very noisy air conditioners - The air conditioners are poorly located and very noisy. The air conditioner for the next door room kept me awake for most of the night.
- Americo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jane (6/5): Overall not bad but disappointing check in procedure (although this may have been a one off) however - Provided own breakfast. Location was fine. Accommodation clean. Check in procedure not good. Nobody there during given check in times. Had to call a number on door. On arrival I had trouble getting through to owner. Eventually got through to someone on 3rd attempt to be told unit number and key inside. Unit was pretty good but no bowl to wash dishes in or as an alternative no plug in only sink ( in bathroom).
- Sawyer (8/5): Convenient, comfortable and safe parking. - Good location, comfortable and safe parking for car and boat. Perhaps a ceiling fan to circulate the air in the room.
- Angel-rose (8/5): Very good -
- Murray (9/5): Superb - Easy to find, nice large room, clean and tidy, warm comfortable bed
- Jaymie (8/5): Very good -
- Dianne (8/5): - A
- Robert (7/5): Good -
- Jane (6/5): - No one at reception to great us on arrival at 2pm. Had to phone to get instructions for Room number & admission to it. Toilet bowl dirty with seat half off plus shower screen hanging off rail which had to be rehung prior to use.location only redeeming feature.
- Shirley (10/5): - Spacious older style motel, very clean, well equipped good parking.
- Ian (6/5): Pleasant -
- Noura (2/5): Bad - Good size The host charged me for the extra people we had in the room we were 6. And when we arrived there were only 3 towels and it was late at night. The staff was very rude
- Peter (8/5): Over night - ok. Bugs in room.
- Hannah (4/5): Cleaning standards not up to par. - Parking It was so obvious that the fridge and microwave had not been cleaned. You could see the food remnants on both, and the stench from the fridge was just gross. Shower full of mildew and toilet bowl not clean. Cleanliness is clearly not their priority.
Facilities very dated and the beds were creaky.
- Phillipa (1/5): I don’t recommend it at all! - Uncared for property - weeds and rubbish in the garden. Dead Cockroach in bedroom, bugs in bathroom, dirty table, old and badly maintained. Overpriced.
- Tammie (6/5): - Would have been nice to have AC on after arriving after a very hot day. Only 2 towels for 3 people and no faces after a hot sweaty day and having booked for 3 people wasn’t ideal.
Shower is very old and grubby.
- Rob (7/5): Good - Plenty of room for my car trailer.. Bed were too uncomfortable. Had a sore back the next morning other then that was a good place to stay
- George (8/5): Very good -
- Jemima (10/5): Would definitely stay here again. - The gentleman in reception who I spoke to on a couple of occasions was lovely, very prompt with replies and understanding when I had to change dates last minute.
The room was lovely and very quiet.
- Lucas (10/5): - good
- Theresa (8/5): Good overnighter to recharge - It was great value for money. Bed was comfortable A little bit out of town centre but not too far.
- Steven (6/5): Pleasant -
- Mohammad (10/5): It was good condition for my family - Services Nothing
- Rashid (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hughes (5/5): Passable -
- Norma (8/5): - Owners were lovely, was a great quiet place for us to stay while watching grandchildren in the cricket carnival. We were happy to be on the outskirts of Portland.
Suited our needs for a sleepover place. Very clean and lovely fresh smell on entry. Lovely big towels too.
- Bridget (10/5): Exceptional -
- Admire (7/5): Good -
- Kyla (8/5): - Out of town but just off main road so easy access to the main town.
- Robert (1/5): Dogs barking roosters crowing low amount towels no toilet paper - Room layout fantastic, built in an older era style which embraced a spacious layout with room seperate for children so idea for family party. For us disappointing, firstly it was clean tidy but they used a really strong cleaning or launderer detergent which the smell overwhelmed me my husband’s allergies acted up. Really over powering artificial smell. Bathroom floor slippy, two towels unfresh (basic house fitting issues) half roll toilet paper no extra roll, fan so loud so loud would wake the family, shower head kept falling down, basic issues, refrigerator old barely cold, but worst thing was the dogs barking from other properties which is out of owners control but set off all the dogs in the neighbourhood, I taped the noise!!! Then a rooster began at 5.30 am!!! Yes a rooster!! Noise all night from vehicles using speedway coming in, we literally didn’t sleep just got through the night left at 6.30 am, for money we paid we were disappointed, especially regarding the smell in the room please use non sented or consider not using sprays!! Beds ok basic. Dogs barking roosters crowing dangerously slippy shower worst I advised my hub not to use shower as I was afraid of fall. I seen another review mention the slippy shower I’m presuming it’s the cleaning products again so please review before a person is seriously hurt it was like an ice skating rink. Appreciated small family run operation but honestly it was a crap night for us.
- Raymond (5/5): Passable -
