The room had holes in the wall,a screw sticking out of the bedhead near the pillow, mould in the shower. ants, leaking basin tap and loose, burn marks in ceiling from someone cooking. Note manager knew about the burns as I thought it was mildew! Never to return and will be posting bad reviews. Stayed 2 nights only and did not receive full compensation for departing one night earlier. Not a happy experience.

- Patrick (6/5): Always good to have time away together. - Bottom sheet on the bed was stained, mirror and windows need a clean, but apart from these cosmetic items, the room was as good as we remember. We first stayed there in 1979 and have now been back twice. See above.

Room was large enough with all required amenities for a comfortable stay. Had extra pillows. Comfortable bed. Clean crisp linen. Friendly staff. Has a Chinese restaurant on the premises.

- Robert (8/5): Older style but clean and friendly staff. - This is an older style motel but is clean and has everything you need for a short stay. There was a small kitchenette with microwave and cutlery, plates and bowls. The bed was comfortable as was the arm chair. I would recommend this motel for a short stay.

Good size tv with local channels. Good Wi-Fi available. Lovely soft towels provided. Bathroom was very old with shower over a large non working spa bath which had lots of mould on the tile grouting. It also had a very musty smell. Bed area had sliding door to outside table and chairs which was let down with sheer curtains that were very dirty and torn, also didn’t close properly due to hanging off the rails. Ash tray on outside table was dirty with cigarette ash and ground area needed a good clean

Water pressure in shower was Fantastic. I chose this Motel from the reviews. I found it to be dirty, it could do with a full reno. As a cleaner I do expect more than most.

Our room had torn curtains and furnishings and lacked attention to detail of cleaning especially the bathroom. Grout mouldy and dirty looking. TV and internet went down for a while also.

Right across from the water and a very short walk to any bars, restaurants and cafes. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Restaurant on site (which we didn’t use this time because we didn’t realise and got food on our way to accommodation). Our room was right next to the restaurant but noise was minimal. Liked the colour token idea too. The bed was quite creaky to sit down briefly on the end (although it was comfortable to sleep in). Unfortunately there was a very loud snorer in the room next door that kept me away a bit which the property aren’t to know so that was just bad luck. Room did have a few cobwebs and spiders but I think that can sometimes come with older buildings. Wouldn’t put me off staying again.

Place is clean and spacious. A bit run down. Bathroom needs an uplift. No breakfast here - need to go out to look for breakfast although it mentioned they have a restaurant on the website.
