Very clean room facilities. - Cleanliness of room No motel phone contact number was provided until I had made the booking and no reception staff being present at 9am on the morning of my departure. I find these business tactics extremely disrespectful and inconvenient when needing to seek information from a human being (read business reception staff) to seek the necessary information to enable me to make an informed decision on whether the accommodation was going to suit my requirements. This behaviour is now common practice in both the public and commercial sector which in my opinion equals sub-standard customer service that was previously provided in this business sector. This commercial sector behaviour is promoted to the customer as being an improved and convenient service but in reality the time taken to investigate the website details on available rooms, their facilities and cost is now been transferred to the customer, saving the businesses the cost of employing front of office / receptionist staff to interact with potential customers. I normally actively seek out accommodation businesses that provide quality customer service which this business did not provide on my recent stay.

• Cherie (9/5): Very relaxing stay - When I booked in through Booking.com I thought I had indicated we required a downstairs room. When I check in the room that was allocated was upstairs. The receptionist showed that my booking did not show that I had requested the room downstairs. I appreciated that she quickly corrected my mistake by letting me know she had a room with a Kingsize bed downstairs for an extra $15.00 which I thought was very reasonabIe price for the extra bed size. I was very impressed with the room and the "extra" service by the manager/staff member that I will in the future request a room with the Kingsize bed. All good. Just feedback re your outside signage. There is a large plant blocking the lower part of your large lit signage. This plant can easily be cut back lower and it will reshoot which would improve the overall appearance of the plant and it would also make your signage and more visible.

Die Lage ist sehr gut - nach einem kurzen Spaziergang durch einen schönen Park erreicht man Cafes und Geschäfte. Ausgesprochen gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, empfehle es weiter :)

• Genevieve (7/5): Good for a night - The items at reception (in case you forgot to bring things like toothpaste) were a nice touch. The keyless card entry for the front door was easy to use, with an additional dead lock and chain - felt very safe and secure. The heating worked well, the hot water was instant and water pressure was very good. The bathroom was updated and clean. Blockout curtains really good. I could not hear anything from other guests, although could hear road noise (as one would expect on a highway). I had a room near the back, so not too bad. The cupboard door was a bit hard to open and close. The room was a bit smaller than other motel rooms I have experienced - breakfast ledge area in a corner was quite small - the fridge was on the ground, so had to bend down to use it. Had to use the kettle and toaster in a small area as the microwave oven was on the ledge too. There was no separate table and chairs (not possible with room size). No detergent or sponge to wash dishes. No wine glasses. A couple more powerpoints were needed - one near the ledge where the TV is. Touch lamps were good to use, but the light not bright enough for reading. Heavier doona needed for winter months. The pool has been let go and looks like the restaurant is the same. Coffee machine not necessary and took up much needed room.

My room was upstairs, l arrived in pouring rain, wondering how wet l would get climbing stairs, when the lady swapped my room for a ground level one. Much appreciated. Kitchenette had all you need, bathroom had a spa bath, wonderful! Bed was comfy, light and heating perfect.Easy parking and quite quiet considering location.Central location, easy access. Only thing l didn't like was l forgot to order breakfast second morning, had to do it myself!

• Matt (6/5): Old and Run down - The Gipps is a place you stay when you cant find anywhere else for a night. Itys not pretty and not particularly clean. Its also really noisy in the room, even though I had a room far down the end away from the road. Not somewhere you'd stay twice or for a few nights. The photos look pretty, be she ain't.
