- Karen (9/5): Great place to stay at a reasonable price. Will stay here again for sure - The room was very clean and tidy, and the bed very comfortable. There was effective air conditioning too. It was a peaceful quiet location, but near an excellent cafe to get coffee in the morning I couldn’t find a hair dryer, I looked everywhere but couldn’t locate one
- Elizabeth (6/5): Adequate - The provision of a microwave crockery and cutlery and kettle No hairdryer. There is a doorstop in the middle of the floor that’s a trip hazard. Had to ask twice for a glove to be replaced. Near a busy road
- Amanda (7/5): Great location and clean room. - Location was easy to find and I was able to grab my key early as I was going to be a late arrival back that night. Nil
- Christine (8/5): The rooms were accommodating a bit dated however comfortable, they need to put cereal in the room for a quick bite for b - Close to the winery that we were attending, close to town The stairs on the side of the property were a bit dated and not very safe for woman in heels as the steps did not seem to be a correct width for the steps
- Ham (9/5): Spacious room, excellent bed, ideal central location. - We liked the location (easy walk to the town centre). Our room was spacious with adequate facilities, an excellent shower and a really comfortable large bed. No real complaints though we were first allocated an upstairs room (no lift and though pretty fit my husband and I are both in our late 70’s) When I pointed out that no provision was made when booking (in our case from the UK) to nominate a choice, the person on duty immediately reassigned us to a downstairs room.
- Karen (9/5): Very clean rooms and super comfy beds in a great location - There was a spare bed for our 6 year old. Had microwave, toaster, kettle and plate etc Noise of the sliding door going to bathroom during the jug it early morning
- Schweikert (10/5): -
- Judith (7/5): Modest quiet room, clean bathroom, comfortable bed - Clean bathroom, comfortable bed Shower curtain
- Fiona (9/5): Long weekend at the Wanderlight. - Fantastic location, easy to get to the cafes and shops on foot. Staff were easy to communicate with and were friendly. Room was well-sized, and the bed was comfortable. If I absolutely had to say something that needed to be said here, is that the bathroom shower was closed by shower curtain. Honestly not a problem but not my preference with bathrooms. Oh, and the shower head did leak, but that didnt impact the use of the shower.
- Lisa (6/5): Not the best and not the worst. - Clean linen, comfy bed. Pool. Plenty of parking. Air conditioner slats were broken - only faced downward onto the bed. My husband needed to repair the shower head so we could shower. Cutlery and glassware was dirty and required washing prior to use.

- Leanne (8/5): Great location, clean and comfortable. Would stay again. - Great location, rooms were clean and comfortable. Pub next door where you can enjoy a great meal. Central to everything. Spacious. Bathroom could do with a spruce up.
- Cordelia (5/5): Quick stay in Mudgee - The pool was great. It had a very big umbrella to give some shade while it was extremely hot. I had to ask for shampoo and conditioner.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Good place to stay @ good price & proximty to everything . - Tidy & quiet , close to pub for tea, & Main Street . Nothing
- Mark (8/5): -
- Charles (5/5): Did the job, expensive for what is offered. Will book elsewhere next time. - The room was clean and tidy, including the linen. Check-in pleasant and efficient. Presentation of premises very dated and worn well past their best. The following is noted; holes in carpet, poor painting to walls, leaking shower rose, an unstable bedside table, vinyl lounge chair with finish pealing off, non conforming balustrades to access ways. Claim as having been 'recently refurbished' is a bit of a 'stretch'.

- Rixon (8/5): -

- 14westy (4/5): Request to view your room - We were travelling through,
The reception staff were nice.
the bathroom has been modernised, but is TINY and if you are tall you will have some trouble sitting on the toilet without hitting your knees on the vanity.
If you had mobility issues you would not have been able to manage in the space
There was also a funky smell in the room when we first went in ? Toilet.
The bed was comfy.
Our room door did not lock properly and had heaps of gaps around it letting in light. As did the old server hatch,
Carpet was grubby
Commercial kitchen next door, fumes came straight into room.
Fittings in room were fairly shabby, although the counter tops looked newish
Felt the room was overpriced.
- Jonathan (8/5): Very comfortable and pleasant 👍 - Easy to find, the shower was great and the room was comfortable and part had been renovated to bring it into the modern world The aircon vent had broken and blew directly onto your face in bed
- Elizabeth (8/5): -
- Robert (8/5): Great night good sleep workers were helpful - Close to everything needed Nothing
- Kirsty (10/5): - Nice clean and easy to get too.
- Jack (8/5): We were in town for a funeral, so it was perfect for us - Great location, had a pool, which was great because it was 39 degrees Perfect for what we needed
- Jess (10/5): Affordable comfort in town with pool - Very comfy bed, lovely pool, close walk to the main street, pub right next door, Cafe a couple of doors down. Off street parking at the front door of the room. Ice cold air con. Android TV to cast your streaming services to. Very reasonable price per night mid week in January school holidays.
- Austin (8/5): Mudgee stays. - Cleanliness, locality and quiet. Bed too close to the wall, need more space to move around.
- Greg (7/5): -
- Aitken (7/5): -
- Caleb (1/5): -
- Kristy (6/5): -
- Margaret (7/5): Comfortable clean motel close to town - Good location close to town No hairdryer in room. Otherwise all ok.
- Eddie (10/5): -
- Rick (8/5): -
- Kim (4/5): Great location but an uncomfortable and overpriced night’s accommodation - The location was great and close to where we needed to be. The stairwells of the building were filthy including dead cockroaches. The carpets were worn, stained and felt dirty. The sheets were clean but the mattress had no support - it was like sleeping in quicksand. The bathroom looked clean enough but used shampoo was open and sitting on the window sill. The louvred windows in the bathroom were filthy. And we discovered the walls were very thin and party music at the pub next door may as welll have been in our room. An overpriced overnight stay.
- Paul (4/5): - Location Tv didn't work and was locked on 1 channel tried to reset but didn't work
Bed was very uncomfortable and pillows
Bathroom had black hair around basin and shower
Dated rooms not like photos
- Guest (6/5): Pleasant stay - We did not have breakfast there. We could hear the noises from the beer garden .

- CarmelNewcastle_Aus (6/5): Will try a different motel next time - I booked a Standard Queen room, via the website, for an overnight stay in Mudgee.
We knew check-in was 2pm but arrived in Mudgee about 1pm and drove to the Motor Inn. Reception was closed so we knocked on the door as we wanted to ask if we could leave our car on the property. The lady at reception told us in a very unfriendly manner that check in was "not before 2pm" however we could leave our car there.
We arrived back at 2.10pm, still closed, so phoned reception to gain access.
We were given the key to Room 10 on the ground floor. It was quite roomy, very clean and had been refurbished, by way of painted brick walls and new carpet. However, there were some short falls. The curtains had several hooks missing so could not be closed properly. The bathroom was very narrow with only a sliding door and the toilet had a constant drip. The plastic shower curtain wasn't great for stopping water getting on the floor and unfortunately, no hand towel or bath mat which meant a visit to reception. The lady questioned my husband whether he had looked around for the towels. The next morning we couldn't find any cups so had to use our own. When checking out, we mentioned the lack of cups and again was asked if we had looked everywhere as there should be cups. She came into the room and searched high and low.
It appeared to us that this Motor Inn relies on guaranteed bookings for contract workers coming to the area and has let things go a bit or can not get staff.
This was our last night on our self-catering road trip and the 10th motel, mostly family owned ones, we had stayed in on our journey. First impressions are gained at check-in and there was no warm welcome here, whatsoever. Except for the city of Bendigo, the Wanderlight Motor Inn had the most expensive tariff of the other eight.
Customer service goes a long way in this industry and I will definitely be trying out a different motel when next visiting Mudgee.
