• Armando (4/5): - Window blinds dirty, no safety depot box, poor tv, only one english channel--no english news, no view outside except garbage ,no key card system, combined toilet/shower painful, no fridge or microwave, no luggage storage, noisy room -poor sound proofing Good location, elevator to suite, reasonably clean, inexpensive
• Verified traveler (6/5): - Lobby is nice and comfortable, but the cleanliness in the room is not so well. There are still hairs around the room when we first arrival in the room.
• katherine (4/5): Horrible - I booked and paid for 4 nights and left on first night. The room is disgusting. The bed, linen, walls air conditioning unit were very dirty/stained. The coffee mugs provided didn’t appear to have been cleaned. EVER. The bathroom drain was broken and sticking in an open position where you could see the grossest black sludge in it. The toilet paper holder was in wet shower area and was a soaked, therefore unusable. The dirt on the mildewed air conditioning unit was likely to make people sick and it was directly over you while you were in the bed, involuntarily breathing it in. The noise from the adjoining rooms was excessive. It sounded like drilling and when I tried to complain about when front desk person brought toilet paper, she didn’t speak English nor understand me, though she heard the noise and knew I was frustrated from it, she did nothing. As well, quite a few of the other guests in same area would bang on doors, yelling, or carry on loud conversations on their phones in the hallways, all hours of the night. Additional noise came from the open-air stair well that sounds as if hundreds of birds are nesting in it and the noise is amplified and can be heard clearly in the room. You have to step into this stairwell to reach part of the hotel rooms and hopefully you’re not scared of birds? The furniture in the lobby was so filthy, and this is your first impression of the hotel? (Site won’t allow me to post pictures of room) CANNOT RECOMMEND

• Inspire822452 (6/5): Beach ein paar mehr walk - Feel secure this hotel uber night time or day also. Catch bus to here, shower (My long height means towel is not big for I. Used sheet to dry). Ein paar mehr mins walked to beach some few moment. Only more minutes to beach. Improve water pressure. Air con power nice. Nice people reception.
• razorsm (10/5): Cozy, Easy, Spacious and amazing - I have stay here for 4 nights so what can i say is the place were near to the famous to the saefood centre. All the famous landmark were near just a walk-distance from the hotel. Grab are easy to get here in Kota Kinabalu soo its more convenient for us..

Gaya street sunday market 10 min walk. Filipino night market 10 mins walk. Waterfront bars,clubs,restaurants just 8 to 10 mins walk. Jesselton point jetty to islands about 15 mins walk (use GRAB if u lazy to walk).

Good Place to stay whereby you can find seafood restaurant Such as Welcome Seafood Restaurant, souvenir shop, walking distance to the shopping mall such as the Suria Shopping Mall. • AR548739 (4/5): Avoid - Although its cheap there are certain basics missing, cleanliness of the rooms is aswful, the drains in the bathroom kick up a urine smell, the coridoors stink aswell where the fire exit stairs are open to fish resturant below, the two women on reception are rude and unwelcoming. No wifi in the rooms only in reception. Glad to check out asap!!

• Azlina (2/5): Hotel yang teruk - Saya menginap selama 5 malam dan mengalami pengalaman yang teruk seperti: 1. Aircond berbunyi bising 2. Terrible smell sebab berdekatan dengan tempat pembuangan sampah 3. Tiada kalis bunyi-boleh dengar dengan jelas penghuni di sebelah tekan suis. 4. Tidak mesra pelanggan 5. Susah untuk dapatkan parkir kereta.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Street people too noisy cannot sleep at night. - Hotel room is ok with good airconditioning but toilet bowl not working properly. People on the street outside the hotel making too much noises laughing n screaming till 4am in the wee hours - impossible to sleep. Hotel operators should report this nuisances to the authority for disturbing peace.

• Bambi Jean (4/5): So Bad - The room that i stay is non smoking room but i can smell the cigaratte smoke strong in my room. The toilet was unclean the shower is like an old time the water is so slow i didnt not enjoy showering after a long delay flight. I would not recomment this hotel

Dont expect marriott-kind of service if you are not willing to pay for tha high end price. -room and toilet is clean. Room may look a bit dull and the bedsheet looks old. But hey, you are not staying there permanently. -tv is new, with good channels, comparable to that in 4-5 stars hotel. -good location with many shops around.

De kamer was smerig met name de badkamer, niet te omschrijven zo goor. Personeel zeer onvriendelijk en totaal niet behulpzaam. Ga niet naar dit hotel....!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wees gewaarschuwd....

• Verified traveler (2/5): Bad experience - I have a disappointed expectation for this hotel. The Hotel Outlook look nice, but inside the room is another feeling. The room picture is not the same as it shown on the booking picture. The room is very noisy due to loud motor sound from outside.
• MatfromMelbourne (8/5): great bed, and good location - A quick overnighter here - and after arriving on a late flight bed was great. 5 TV channels - movie and discovery in english which was enough. Shower and water pressure was not great, but aircon was great. Room clean, and big for the price we paid. No wifi in the room but only a quick trip down on the elevator to reception area for connection. Easy 24 hour check in, and we were able to get a decent meal across the road in the market even at 2am. Hotel was kind enough to look after 1 bag while we took to the hills for 2 nights.

• I'm a Man. (4/5): Good Location, TERRRIBLE WIFI issues. - We chose this Hotel Specifically because most of the rooms looked like they would be good to do a bit of work in. Chairs, counters, and space. We were right! They had those things! Unfortunately they have a very serious issue with the wifi. It is slow, disconnects all the time, and we had to change rooms twice just to get a 2-bar signal from a router no more than 5 metres away. Besides this, the lady at the front desk was nice enough, but not the most knowledgeable. The young man working behind the desk was far better and a real resource of knowledge and cheap traveller hacks. Nice guy. All in all, not the worst stay, just pick your rooms wisely as some have really been ridden hard and others have been maintained a little better. *Wand-Style Shower heads were amazing.... *Proximity to Airport Busses and Markets was amazing.... *20 Minute walk maximum to anywhere in town. *Lobby was nice, welcoming and friendly. If they had proper, working WIFI this could have been a 7.5 out of 10.
• MvLoveEarth (4/5): Middle of poor & average - I booked two nights in this hotel with my 3 yr old son but just stayed for 1 night. The room (306) was ran down, dusty, noisy aircon, bed sheet is very old with holes but clean. Small ants everywhere on the counter. No wifi signal in the room, sewage and chemical smell all night. We were so tired that I did not bother to call reception. But the next day, I phoned them and was told that I can get a refund for one night as they do not have a spare room to move us which was very fair of them. Will never stay here at all. The place needs a lot of cleaning or you call it TLC.

• Stephanie (6/5): 靠近海鮮大排檔但是離加雅街就遠了 - 房間10坪以內兩個人住還好，每天都會來打掃房間還算乾淨，但是沒有吹風機、冰箱、衣架、拖鞋，房間內只有一個可供充電的插座，隔音普普，深夜會聽到隔壁的炒飯聲...住了五個晚上床單沒有天天更換，都是同一件又鋪了回去，館內人員手腳不乾淨，在免稅店買了一條香菸放在桌子上回來不見了兩包，自己帶去的行李箱每次出門都會用密碼鎖鎖上，但是回來的時候密碼鎖號碼都會被更動過，入住的客人要小心自己的財物...

• Jellyfur1985 (6/5): It was average - We stayed here for a few nights back in Aug 2015. For the price we paid (about £13.25 per night) it was OK. Here are the good and bad points: Good: - only 5km from airport and there is a bus which you can get which drops you off at central one shopping mall and its only a couple of minutes walk from there - the location is pretty good. Lots of places to eat and shop. Easy walking distance to other malls - it looks quite modern but looked cheaply done Bad - You can only get wifi in the reception area even though they advertise they have wifi on all floors. For some reason it doesn't work - The towels were unbelievably fifthly! - Sometimes you may have uninvited guests in your room . ie cockroaches - the receptionist wasnt helpful with any of the touristy questions we had
• Cheun vui (6/5): reasonable price and good location - Its a quite new small hotel but with lift, there is a food bazaar just a minute away and centre point shopping is also 5 mins of walk. With the reasonable price offer, i will definitely come back.

• Dan from Oz (8/5): great place but lack customer service - This is my honest opinion, location was near airport shuttle bus terminal, 30mins walk to ferry. Customer service was friendly but had no idea about surroundings and with times of buses, Ferris, etc. the twin bedroom was great, comfortable beds but with a non functional toilet door. WiFi was not working on 3rd floor and no eta as to when it will be fixed. WiFi only works on GND floor. No safety box available.

• 154Dob5 (8/5): A nice place to stay - The room was very clean and had good facilities, i think we where in the new area of the hotel. The room was modern and spacious with a large bed and tv and a big bathroom. Accomodation in the city is gerneally expensive this is cheaper than hostels and is a million times better. Would definatly recomend this as good value for money and a good clean contemporary hotel.
• Q4931HVmartins (2/5): Dirty and disgusting - Arriving in our room, we found yellow spots and hair on our toilet and in the beds. Changing room was neccesary and the new room wasnt perfect at all. Only one night was quiet enough. Nevertheless we had cute animals in the room - sweet cockroaches were watching us sleep. Never again. The best was the location in the city.
• Graceofy (8/5): Affordable, convenient and value for money - The hotel is situated around town so everything is pretty walking distance. You can find good food, malls and good massage just around. There is a laundry shop around the corner. The staffs are friendly and helpful. If you need grab a cab or any information, just check with the receptionist and they will be able to help. The room is clean, neat and comfortable. Water heater is in good condition too. Value for money as it's really affordable and convenient at the same time. Recommended for traveller whose needs is to have a good place to sleep at night.

So fast that the reception did not bother to explain how to get to your room nor explain what is the little piece of paper with numbers and alphabets written on it as she place it on the counter. It turned out that is the password for the Wi-Fi. Though it is a small hotel, it would be great for the receptionist to be a little more friendly. Room was good for those who just need a place to rest before hopping on the plane again. Bathroom was small but clean for the non fussy. Location was good as it takes only 15 mins to get to the airport. Restaurants available just beside the hotel. To get to Gaya street takes about 10 mins casual walk. Nearer to the Filipino market.
• madanam (6/5): Average for this budget hotel - I was here for 3D1N. The receptionist was nice and warm. The room spacious was ok. Unfortunately, there were cockroaches in the room. Action has to be taken by the management to avoid this. On more thing, their housekeeping doing their work very loud in the morning. They simply close the door loudly and disturbed other people' sleep. Aver all, i give an average for this hotel.
• 333trangn (6/5): Noisy - The room is basic and clean, but quite small. Good location, next to seafood restaurant, only take 5 minutes walking to the beach. Outside is noisy at midnight as it's next to a construction, wifi connection is very bad.

• laoabro (8/5): Good location and service,Bad Wifi connection - I stay 4 night at HII-5 HOTEL,the receptionist was very kind and helpful,the room is clean but a little small,easpecially the shower room,and wifi sometimes doesnt work,but its cheap and very near to the centre point and seafood restaurant.

• semutlesehan (4/5): minimalist design, poor maintenance - just like others said, yup, the shower designed very strange, water splashed everywhere. linen of my room didn't clean enough and a room little bit smelly. other side, the receptionist was in good performance, very helpful and there's a food court just walking distance behind a hotel. good location of hotel makes it easier to reach shopping center and taxis. mean thing is a condition and amenities of a room. need to be improved, for me location and price was second factor for me to stay and a first thing that i have to get from a hotel is cleanliness and its amenities such as clean coffee maker and mineral water. price was cheap enough for backpacker but it would come not worth well due to its facilities. also i had no wi fi signal. PLEASE MAINTAIN ITS FACILITIES TO BE BETTER CONDITION
