Guest Reviews
- Venus (8/5): - good experience. clean
- Denis (8/5): - Cleaning staff and restaurant staff were friendly. Good value.
- régis (4/5): - Personnel pas accueillant ni souriant.
Moquette salle...couvre lit douteux
- Verified traveler (4/5): - This just wasn’t for me.
- Markus Michael (4/5): - Out in nowhere‘s Land. The welcome was cold. No free coffee.
- Daniel (10/5): - Excellent quality and location for the price
- Bill (10/5): - The property includes the rooms, a restaurant, a gas station, and a convenience store all in a single connected building. The rooms are a little on the small side but each has a balcony. The restaurant has an excellent chef and everything we ordered was perfectly cooked or prepared. the staff were very welcoming. The restaurant is not open for breakfast but there is coffee available in the convenience store with muffins and other baked goods.the rooms at the back are faving away from the highway and road noise was not an issue. Would happily stay there again.
- Caroline (8/5): - Impossible d’y déjeuner
- Judith (10/5): - Room was clean and the shower was great lots of pressure and hot !!
- Pamela (10/5): - The place was decent but it was attached to a truck stop and a diner
- Margaret (6/5): - Thankful they accept pets. However after our stay they charged us 20$.
This was not explained to us.
As well, due to their key system, you shouldn't leave anything in the room.
- Saritha (8/5): - Overall good
- Laurent (4/5): - Aucun interet
- Samuel W (6/5): - Just stay overnight
Food good we just make the supper
No breakfast
Think it should be stated on their site
Apparently open all year round
Asked for coor light she repeated it then brought a Pepsi same my friend asked for Diet Pepsi he got regular
Would not stay again, not welcoming
- Simon (2/5): - Avoid if not Francophone
Staff were rude and unhelpful
We were treated as unwanted inconvenience
Although they were happy to take our money for the rooms
Were not able to make use of facilities, restaurant, etc
Avoid!
- Celine Baril (6/5): - The location was about 15 minutes ride to Tadoussac which was reasonable. The accomodation was not as described, no bar, no dining area, no reception upon arrival, needed to walk around to find the office.
- Jeannette (10/5): - Propre et tranquille.Personnel gentil
- Isabelle (8/5): - Staff was nice and very clean. WiFi wasn’t working in my room, but was working in my friend’s room.
- Oti (6/5): - I love the location, without a little inconvenient: it is a gas station with a motel in the same buiding. Too noisy. A few minutes from Tadoussac, our final destination. You can stay here if you don t have any problems with the gas station and the travelers in and out. The motel is clean, but do not expect a AC in rooms. The owners work together there, friendly people, they don't have too many staff working with them. Cleaning rooms : before you're doing your check-in and after your check out. No service in your room during your stay. But, we can't complain: without personal you can't offer too much.
- Christine (6/5): - I read many reviews before booking this hotel, I am aware they don't speak English and there is no AC. We are travelling with dogs and this is one of very few options available in Tadoussac area.Regarding no AC, I strongly recommend you to bring a portable fan if you can, we drove so we could bring one with us and the temperature is quite ok especially when the nights are cooler. Regarding don't speak English part, I thought I could use Google translate to communicate when check in, but no! she won't even wait for me to bring the Google translate out. It's ok for don't speak English but I am trying to communicate with you in French and you won't give me a chance to. That is more than just language barrier I am afraid. It's like if you don't speak my language you are not welcome here, if so they should advertise it. The hotel room is clean, since there is no AC, everyone has their balcony door open, thus it's quite noisy if you have loud neighbours. It gets worse if you are traveling with dogs.
Pro - pet friendly - clean room- comfortable bed
Cons - not very hospitable - no AC
- Judith (6/5): - Quite expensive for a small room. Language barrier on check in was a barrier and not very hospitable with attempts at French.
- Luke (4/5): - The receptionist does not speak English at all. So difficult to communicate with her.
Building is smelling. Room is small and hot cus no AC.
- Verified traveler (6/5): À oublier - Gérante très désagréable, séjour à oublier
- Christina (6/5): - Due to the effects of COVID, the hotel was understaffed. The restaurant was not open. The woman at the front desk also had to work at the adjoining Depanneur. No clean towels for our second night stay - had to find some on our own. The room was very clean, however very noisy traffic outside.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - All necessary basics but no air conditioner.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Restaurant and cantine were not open in the morning,
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Thanks
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Moyen
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Gas/Food/Convenience store all on the property - so convenient, and also very close to Tadoussac.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Nothing
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was clean and the receptionist was courtious. However, they failed to warn us in advance of the lack of staff for their kitchen and service. No meals were served.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Overnight stay, clean room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good food, drink and gas all in one place.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - No coffee machine in the room
No service at the reception after eight pm
Not very friendly s d welcoming atmosphère
- Rita (6/5): - Fast check in. Clean rooms. But staff barely spoke English.
- Dave (4/5): - Poor service. No AC. Rude staff. Not a place I would recommend and would go out of my way to avoid.
- Verified traveler (4/5): No AC In the room - Small room, smaller bathroom. Clean towels and beds. The biggest issue was the missing AC. During the summer, that’s terrible . I slept maybe 2 hours tops because of the heat.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Endroit très propre. Toilette excellente.
- B (4/5): - This hotel stay was very disappointing. While the room was clean, it was in the basement and had only a fan that barely provided releif to a humid Aug night. The beds were super uncomfortable and pillows completely flat. When we checked in, we were told the kitchen had closed and the only food nearby was was a chiptruck.
We had the room for two nights but left after one because i couldn't bear staying in this room as part of my holiday.
- Parama (8/5): - Clean and tidy , no complain ... A coffee machine would have been much appreciated ...
- Stephen (8/5): ery nice - Nice hotel, great location
- Ico (6/5): - It was too expensive for the conditions. Slept in a basement for 150 CAD.
- Rino (8/5): - Has all you need in one place. Air conditioning would be nice.
- Shiva (10/5): - I arrived at the hotel late, around 1 AM driving from Toronto. I knew I would have a late check-in and called the hotel 2 times to inform while I was on the way. Even though I didn't know any French and they didn't know much English, they still got the message and were kind enough to leave a note for me at the Reception when I reached. The note had the room number and they left the room door open with the keys on the desk.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The motel is very nice and pleasant place to stay. The staff is polite The English is bad but can manage.
In the room there is only refrigerator (no microwave, kettle or coffee machine).
The restaurant is very good and prices are fair.
- Chris (10/5): - Pretty good. Close to everything, nice staff, free parking
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Not the Ritz but a decent hotel in this area of Quebec.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Very noisy, hot and no air-conditioning. Restaurant was ok.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Large room,
- Sam (4/5): - it's basically a bunch of rooms tacked on to a gas station a long way from anything one would want to see of do in Tadoussac.
- Ck (10/5): - Very clean, close to AML cruises, lots of parking. We had a very late check-in and staff over the phone was helpful.
- Marie (6/5): No AC! - Stayed for 1 night with hubby and 7 yr old daughter. It was july and hot, when I realised there was no AC, I wondered if it would be better to sleep in our truck! It was like a sauna all night!! Our room was on street level, in front of a gas station, tried to open the balcony / window door, to have some fresh air, but the mosquitoe net door would not close! Could not risk having the door unlocked all night at street level.. we put the ceiling fan on max speed and let me tell you, the fan was shaking like crazy, we thought it would rip out of the ceiling! I found food on the floor, and the carpet was super old and dirty... also, it smelled like mildew and humidity pretty much everywhere..really not worth 100$! This motel needs renovations!!!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The hotel was kind of what you would expect for the cost. It was conveniently located near Tadoussac and Bon Desir. It had a nice playground and restaurant.
But there was no air conditioning and the Internet did not work at all.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Not that bad! - It was good and clean. Pillows not so comfortable. An inclusive breakfast would have been great!
- Turist (2/5): Be aware of staying here!! - 1. When we returned to the hotel the door was UNLOCKED!!
2. There is no AC, no microwave, no iron. Even they did not spend money on a toilet brush.
3. We could not find even shampoo in the bath
4. In the English menu they offer a "Package" for breakfast, but some of the things there were not included in the package.
5. If you anyway stay there, check all the prices of the menu BEFORE you order something.
6. The only thing you will find is a recommendation about how much you should give for tips. They will remind you about that every time.
- David (8/5): - Not too far from Tadoussac and whale watching. A little bit out of the way, in a rural setting. Helpful staff, basic restaurant, gas station and convenience store.
- u (10/5): Great place - The hotel was lovely. Staff were so kind and helpful, even though we didn't speak French. The only sent back is that the rooms don't have any air conditioning.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Getting into the motel was difficult and was stuck in a basement which had an unpleasant order
- Mike (8/5): Surprisingly Great! - Wasn't sure what to expect with this hotel on the highway outside of Sacre-Coeur and Tadoussac. Yes it is connected to a diner, store and gas station, but in this more remote area, that is a good thing. You'll find the meals less expensive here than in touristy Tadoussac, but the hotel itself is perfectly fine and was very clean. No complaints about the room at all. Actually quite a good location for exploring the Saguenay area, presuming you have a vehicle. Drove in on highway 138, then the ferry to Tadoussac. In the morning saw various vantage points of the fjord off of the 172, crossed the bridge (175) in Saguenay and drove the very beautiful highway 381 back to Baie-St. Paul. Would recommend staying at least 2 nights in the area though, we were too rushed. My French is awful, but people were very friendly.
- Louis (6/5): - Clean room, comfortable beds. Voucher was available at reasonable cost for breakfast. Five breakfast choices were available to satisfy everyone.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - There was no microwave in the rooms which was expected.
- Sheeba (6/5): Nice little hotel - Booked the hotel as nothibg else was available in Tadoussac. They had a restaurant on site which ser ed decent breakfast andsome dinner. The room had a blacony which was nice but no views. Also 15 minutes drive from Tadoussac.
- Verified traveler (2/5): worst nights in my life . - I have never had a bad experience like this before. It was very noisy and old Motel and I never go back there .
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A very satisfactory facility, but our room did not have air conditioning.
- Yohanan (8/5): good stay - The hotel is nice with a good location to visit the national park.
The only minor thing , a microwave or coffee maker in the room could have been nice.
- AFP (8/5): Great location in the Tadoussac,Quebec area - We needed a hotel to for a 2nd night stay when we visited Farm 5 (Ferme 5) in Sacre-Coeur. We found out Hotel-Motel Coronet was only 1 km away from Farm 5 so it was very convenient for a 2nd night stay. We were also about 15-20 minute drive from Tadoussac so it still allowed us to explore that area as well. They offer a gas station, restaurant, hotel and a small bar area. The restaurant worked out well as they offered a variety of items on the menu and also there was an English menu available. Food prices were reasonable along with the room rate. Our room was very spacious, clean and also offered a nice outside patio/deck area to sit.
- Nadia (8/5): Clean, comfortable, friendly, affordable! - Very clean room. I was staying with my 3 children, and even if we were on lower level, the room felt very clean and safe. The breakfast, on top floor with a bright kitchen and terrace, was lovely, and the staff, friendly and attentitive to our needs. I would stay there again!
- JAY-DEE (6/5): Easy Access to Tadoussac - I wanted to explore the Tadoussac area and instead of staying at that location, I opted for the Coronet, which is about a 10 to 15 minute drive from Tadoussac. This option was less expensive.
- Mark (8/5): Just what we needed - We stayed here when we wanted to go on a whale watching tour out of Tadoussac. It's about 20 minutes away. The motel was clean and quiet and comfortable enough for our brief stay. We ate breakfast at the motel restaurant and it was quite good. It's useful to know that the restaurant cashier's desk is also the front desk of the motel. It's a little out of the way, but I would have no worries about staying here again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): It was ok - The Hotel was clean but no AC and there was a smell of humidity. It was ok for a one night experience since there was no available place for our family in Tadoussac.
- Guy (8/5): Nice enough hotel with nothing around - Perfect for nature lovers who want to go whale watching or visit provincial parks but come nightfall there is absolutely nothing to do
