Dont waste your money

Chelsea (4/5): - The property is hid off in the corner and the sign is barely visible. The lobby isn’t clean and the worker was on the phone while checking me in. She didn’t explain anything about what I was signing just pointed at the tablet. The room was nasty. The sheets on the bed were stained. The table unsteady and had no chairs in the room. The walls are super thin and you can hear anyone’s conversation. The bathroom was dirty. Shower head was disgusting. Towels were dingy. Floor was dirty. The tv was glitching and so you couldn’t watch anything. It served its purpose and was a place for my family to finally get a hot shower while being without power from the hurricane but one night was enough and I won’t be back.

Kathleen (8/5): Decent rooms for a reasonable price - The staff was the best part of our stay. They were very attentive and responsive to our needs. Our bed linens had huge, dark stains on them, but it didn’t take long after telling the front desk for them to bring us new ones that were still in the packaging. We appreciated that! I really felt like they were concerned with our comfort; they even allowed us a late checkout. Another important detail was that I didn’t see not even one roach- can’t ask for much more!

Walked in my room all there was was a bed, tv, random chair and I guess a dresser? The bedspread had stains on it the towels were old with stains, unless you use your own nexflix or Hulu account you could not watch tv. The phone was not even plugged up to the room, I needed ice and ask the owner where to get ice he went and pushed a button on the machine and asked to give it 10 mins. For almost $100 I literally got just a bed.

A drill bit fell from over the mirror. There wasn't a chair in the room. We understood due to the room being a handicap room. Had to ask for an iron, and it leaked. This could have been nicer. The price was like maybe $10 less than where we usually stay. We were told the room price was the reason there wasn't a microwave or small fridge. Overall bad experience The owner was pleasant

I had to go buy blankets and sheets to sleep on and clean the place myself before I felt ok about sleeping there. I wouldn’t recommend staying here and I’ll never come back. lakedah2019 (2/5): FILTY - The worst place in America to stay. Upon checking in we immediately noticed blood stains in the sheets. When we reported to the owner he became very hostile and stated that the bloodstains were fresh without even checking the room. Owner finally told the maintenance man to check the room in which he reported back that nothing else had been touched in the room. The owner still refused to issue refund or offer another room (we really didn't want another room at this point but it would've been a nice gesture). After going back and forth the owner called Sandersville Police and stated he had an irate customer that needed to be removed. When the police arrived, the owner had altered the check in info to make it look like we had the room longer (2:27-2:42 was changed to 12:27-2:42).

The only recommendations that I would make is that they add a coffee maker and coffee to the rooms as other hotels do. They do not provide breakfast so when you wake up and want want your coffee you have to go to a restaurant down the street to buy it. The only other suggestion I would make to them is that they invest in better pillows for the bed. The ones provided were small and not very firm. Otherwise we had a very pleasant stay. The staff was extremely nice and the room we were in was nice too.

The bed was very uncomfortable, the bathtub had rust around the drain and the hot water faucet was extremely hard to turn on, it took both hand. There was an ironing board with no cover on it and no iron in the room. I was not impressed at all. Will not be staying there again.

Verified traveler (6/5): - The beds were comfortable and the AC worked great. We had minimal towels, no normal hotel amenities (shower cap, iron, blow dryer, coffee etc). No blankets either -- just sheets and the comforter. So overall it was ok, for $70 per night though, we could have used more than 5 tissues and an extra towel.
felix (4/5): Stay away. Not clean at all - Our room had a dead bug on one of the pillows. After removing that bug we killed a few live roaches in the room. The toilet never stopped running. The bathtub never stoped running. When I first went to shower something red and chunky cane out of the shower head. I will not be returning under any circumstance
dee dee (6/5): The price was right... - The price was good, but the hotel was a little less than we are used to. No iron or hair dryer in room. It did have a mini fridge and microwave. The bathroom needed some repair. It served the purpose of a one night stay. The Masters had all the prices near Grovetown jacked up way too high, so we had to go a little over an hour away to get a better price.

CJwork (4/5): Pictures are not accurate - Pictures are old! Doesn't look like that at all! Pool hasn't been functional for years. Don't plan to swim. Dive is a good description. In area on a mission trip and not many options. Expected plain clean room. Trip to store for Lysol and Clorox cleaner necessary. Leaving room cleaner than I found it. Brought linens from home. May try another hotel next year. A lot of money for a subpar room. Big disappointment!
Nan (4/5): Return stay after many years - I was very disappointed with the lobby, cluttered and not clean. Filled with odor of food, not pleasant. The room was clean but no iron or ironing board, no coffee pot, no clock. The heat could not be regulated properly, the shades in the window would not close. I have stayed in the place several times before when I was working, it was nothing like this back then which was about 10 years ago. I will not recommend it nor will I stay there again unless I know they have improved the conditions.
David (4/5): would not stay here ever again - The wifi didn't work. Half of the lights didn't work. The towel were thin and like sandpaper. The room itself was dated. If my wife had been with me she would have walked out. If was quiet and the room had good heat.
Mariah Lasha (4/5): You get wat you pay for - You get wat you pay for I guess. The motel wasn't all that clean. They don't have wifi. There was dead roaches everywhere I felt like bugs where crawling on me all night. I didn't even pull the covers back i just laid on top of the comforter. Sandersville is a very small city so the other two hotel/motels aren't much better.

gmorris2016 (4/5): Recent stay - Large motel with only a few rooms occupied. Tub drained very slowly when taking shower. I am used to hotels in tourist areas. This does not seem to be a tourists area, and the hotel seemed to cater to workmen that were traveling than families or tourists. Room needs renovation.

RockyG_12 (10/5): Best Motel in Sandersville - I stayed here on a business trip. I arrived in the afternoon and the front desk lady greeted me with a smile. The check in process was quick and efficient. I was directed to my room and to my surprise when opening the door, the room smelt great and looked neat. I was also surprised by the 42" flat screen tv. The wifi was fast and the cable worked well. I have stayed at other franchise hotels in the town and Villa South is up to their standards or even better. I will be coming often to Sandersville for business and this my choice motel in the town. Great price, friendly staff and clean rooms
673sheriw (6/5): friendly relaxation - After reading some of the reviews on this hotel I couldn't help and update the record after my recent stay.This hotel has been completely remodeled and under new management. Everyone was friendly and hospitable, my room was clean and comfortable. Definitely somewhere I would stay again when I return to Sandersville, Georgia. Thanks to them for making my stay a pleasant one.
travelingworker32385 (2/5): Pay very little more else where. - I had to fix the TV where the cable out of the back of the TV and the cable out of the wall were poorly electrical taped together. The mattresses are stained. There is black mold growing in the bathroom. And I think its very funny that their cover is a picture of two people sitting next to a pool. The pool is covered with an old tarp and full of leaves. I got a crunch bar out of the vending machine and it was like goo in the pack. When I asked for my money back all she told me over and over was that the sign out side said they're not responsible for the vending machine. The other nicer hotels in the area are not much more money. Go anywhere else but here.
eric1963 (2/5): Very poor!! - I travel for business. 3 to 4 hotels per week. This one rates as one of the poorest! Upon check-in I was handed a key with a long black hair stuck to it! Not a good start! The room smelled of strong cleaning solution. Toilet did not work. Mgment sent a person to fix. Bathroom shower was streaked with mold. Bed was dirty. Carpet was stained. Coat/cloths rack broken and hanging off wall. It was late, but I still went out to find another hotel. No luck. Went across street to wal-mart and bought sheets and pillow case set. Truely hated to have to shower there. Avoid if at all possible.
mpjdad (6/5): Quiet rest - i chose Villa South because I needed a place to stay while attending training at the local college. I couldn't find a good chain in the area so I took a chance on this one. The room was clean. There was a flat screen in the room, along with a microwave and a minifridge. There was an old, saging couch, which detracted from the overall room appearance. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was OK, slight mildew smell. There was an ironing board but no iron. One thing that dated the room was the lack of adequate outlets. I had to unplug a light to use an outlit to plug in my laptop. Price for a night's stay was good.
Downsouth1 (2/5): Avoid ! - This motel has clearly seen better days. Room was dark very worn out and non too clean. Wardrobe was a hanging rail but with no hangers. Claimed wi-fi didn't work. No breakfast room which may have been a bonus. Main customer base seemed to be construction workers from local roads. Pool was closed - an extra $5 charged for its use plus another $5 for a towel. Suggest staying in Milledgeville next time.
