- Verified traveler (8/5): - The cleanness was really good. The conditions of the room was excellent. The only issue was that I asked for a pillow quite late at the night. However, I was told by the staff that they could manage a pillow within half an hour but the staff never came. Never even updated whether they can provide me with it or not. I stayed up for a while for that but then went back to sleep. It would have been nice if someone came to my room to inform me that a pillow could not be arranged.

- Yen-Yen (8/5): Quiet and nice hotel, good facilities. - The hotel staff is very helpful, location wise it is the single hotel I've stayed in Singapore that's actually in a very quiet place. Can easily be reached by car, and walking distance to shops/restaurants/MRT. The rooms do not have a TV, a refrigerator, or toothbrush - just some inconvenience but it is understood as it is not a high priced one. The bed is somewhat uncomfortable and noisy due to springs. Toilet doesn't flush properly from time to time, and the water heater really only keeps the water warm for a very short period, after which the rate of the water outlet needs to be adjusted; this is about adjusting once per 30 seconds or so. Having washing machines, a relaxing area, and a rooftop is really really nice, except the rooftop only opens until 11 pm, so not much chance to use it as usually after a busy day it would have already past 11 when I wanted to relax a bit.

- Winston (10/5): Comfortable stay, but be aware of toilet size. - The location is very convenient, you get a very tranquil location, yet surrounded by eateries and is walkable to Little India, Tekka Market, Dhoby Ghaut and the Selegie area. Only issue I had was that the toilet was smaller than expected, but it is still sufficient to take a shower. It is only the larger sized individuals who will have to worry about it. (The size is based on the private room). Rooms were comfortable and the reception also sells drinks and instant noodles if you're lazy to head out to search for food.

We were so thankful for this place - even though a little more expensive than our hostel, we were happy to pay it. It was reasonably priced for the quality of the place. It was safe, clean, stylish and exactly what we were looking for. The staff were super helpful and friendly and the rooftop lounge was a super addition. Very happy with our stay here!!

- BengL (8/5): Basic Hotel at affordable rate - A very basic hotel nearby to Bugis. Do not expect anything fancy but it does come with all the basic stuff. However, the pantry area with hot/filter water dispenser area is a bit dirty, detected some cockroach there. Hope that the hotel's management will look into this issue.

- Hendro (8/5): Hangout Hotel Reviews - The location is near Little India MRT. You can choose exit A from that MRT. After that, you must cross the park and climb so many stairs before you arrive to the Hangout Hotels. It's not suitable if you carry heavy and many luggage. The staff is very helpful and nice. The hotel ambient is good. However, the size of the room is very small. The breakfast is good but with small choice of food.

- Peter (6/5): - Stayed here 3 times and ratings having gone from 5 to 3. First time great full breakfast buffet with eggs, sausages, etc. as well as asian food. Second time featured rubberized scrambled eggs on occasion and some yoghurt. This time featured no eggs, no yoghurt, bread, toast, peanut butter and jelly and a total lack of concern that this was the only breakfast available within a half a mile of the hotel. Oh yes, forgot the corn flake cereal which only served to make life worse for somebody trying to avoid diabetes. There will be no fourth time.

Mostly surrounded with greenery and quite area at end of road area. Complimentary breakfast was bread,cakes, jam, fruit juice, coffee, cereals and milk, orange and apple. just a simple breakfast.Have a common area at 2nd Floor which is nicely done up. Also have a rooftop Garden to lookout. would recommend the hotel.

No point paying that extra bucks selecting it. - Water temperature for shower is occasionally hot only.

Save cost for this cheap price and take taxi every day is not bad idea. Walking to Little India station is possible within 10 minutes without luggage, in contrary with bags and luggage it is very painful trip. Do take taxi with your stuffs. You don't need buy extra drinking water or coffee from outside because it's free. Super fast Wifi.

The location is a little rough, we walked by a fight outside of Little India train station on our way to the hotel at night. The hotel itself is budget, with clean rooms, and no real amenities, but the price is decent. Our room had an electrical problem, halfway through the night our phone chargers, and lights for reading stopped working. Overall a nice hotel with an unfortunate room problem, and a little rough location.

The room was clean but had a lot of ants on our first night - we were informed it was seasonal and the ants did disappear after a day. The sound insulation is pretty bad as you can hear noise outside and other rooms close by but the area is quiet the majority of the time. The location is great as it’s close to little India, Bencoolean and Bugis. The staff are quite helpful and the breakfast was great (toast, cereal, coffee/tea and fruit.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Stopover Hostel - I stayed here on my 24hour layover in Singapore and it was great, the staff were so friendly checking me in late and I even had the whole room to myself. Breakfast is included, it is standard hostel breakfast but nice all the same. When I checked out the staff held my bags for me and even gave me a towel to have a shower mid afternoon before heading out to the airport that night.

Triple room was spacious clean and comfortable. The roof terrace is a lovely area and there is a communal area which looked great although didn't use it. Restaurant/bar area. Great continental breakfast. Is a short walk to MRT stations and then only a couple of stops to Clarke Quay. Would definitely stop here again

Our room was very small but it was sufficient for our short stay. The rooftop terrace wasnt what it looked like in the pictures but we didnt spend much time up there so it didnt matter. The people working at the front desk were so helpful with whatever we needed. If we ever came back we would stay here again.
- Vishesh (8/5): Excellent place!! - I was on my first solo trip and was a but skeptical about the mixed dorm stay at an unknown place. But it turned out to be excellent. A locker for valuables plus a storage compartment for your bag is exactly I wanted and I got it here. Amazing staff, service and it was well maintained. A few things which can be improved would be: 1. Including few more veg options in buffet breakfast, 2. Providing water jet spray in washrooms as everyone does not prefer tissue. Everything else being perfect. It's 7 mins walk from Little India MRT. It's 5 mins walk from a bus stop. It has a beautiful park outside. Would definitely recommend this place.

The breakfast is terrible. Have they ever heard that there's other food for breakfast aside EGGS? Everyday, they give you scrambled eggs. The staffs at the desk are very helpful though.

- Jason (8/5): Basic but clean, for a cheap stay it was fine. - We knew the hotel was going to be basic, it's in the name. Saying that, the face we had wifi in the room was a real bonus. The bed was comfy, the staff were super friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed our stay. Make sure you turn your boiler on at the 'hot water' switch as soon as you check in. We didn't realise it needed to be turned on so had to have a cold shower when we arrived but that's our fault, not the hotels. Overall we had a happy couple of nights here. As long as you know what you are paying for and don't expect too much it should be fine. Only bad point was the breakfast was a little limited but we're weee happy with a quick coffee and slice of toast before we went out. Usually there is scrambled egg and a meat option like ham or sausage etc. Also there were cereals, tea, coffee and juice.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Great, clean and would recommend - We had a very pleasant experience at this hotel. The staff was helpful by email even before we reach the hotel, answering our questions. With the 24 hour front desk, we also had good experience with staff. Robin in particular was very helpful when issues with my credit card came up and I had to contact the bank in my country to sort it out. The room was really great, on the 6th floor with two large windows and a really great View. The beds were a little stiff to our liking but comfortable none the less. We have no complaint about cleanliness of the room as it was impeccable and when we had need for extra or change of towels, pillows or even when we got sick in the room and needed emergency cleaning, staff were quick to answer. The hotel is located about 10 minutes walk to Little India station, and about 12 15 minutes walk to the Dhoby Gaut station. Sometimes after a full day of walking, that extra walk was a little annoying. However in between those two stations we could get easily pretty much anywhere in the whole country through the MRT Network so it did prove convenient. Another thing we would have preferred was if we could bring some food in the hotel room which wasn't allowed. Aside from water, we always had to eat prior to reaching the hotel with no snacks allowed. Breakfast is not too bad though we wish there were more options in terms of fruits and warm food (for people with many allergies like us) Great hotel in general!
- Kaylin (10/5): Lovely basic place - This place is really lovely! Everyone at the front desk is very nice and helpful. The breakfast was basic but nice and free. The room wasn't very big but incredibly clean and comfy firm beds. Really nice "hangout" area to chill and get free water/coffee all day. Very secure as well with keycards to even get on the different floors. It seemed a bit empty when I was there but I would definitely stay again. Only minor negative was that it's kind of on top of a hill and thus a bit of a hike to get to anywhere when walking. Not a big deal for me but my mom who is elderly struggled a bit.

Superb the lady at the reception when we leave at 6.30 am. looking for a taxi to the Airport the Chines day.The worst with Bed and Breakfast include did not offer us nothing at all. when we left the Hotel at 6.30 am.Hotel to do not go anymore. The best Hotel in Singapore for us The Changi Cove Hotel in Changi Cove with a Big 10.Stunning views from the terrace and our romm at the 6 floor.
- Karen (10/5): Excellent service! - We stayed in Hangout Hotel for 3 days and 2 nights in the triple room. Our room, including the bathroom, was clean. It was not very spacious but it's not too cramped as well. We had working air conditioning and hot water shower. The room also had a partial view of the park which adds more to the calming ambience. Because of the location, the hotel is generally quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Service was awesome! Those in the front desk are always helpful when you need directions, taxi request, early check-in or luggage queries (extra thanks to Robin for his help!). Free buffet breakfast is simple but filling. The hotel has a veg out room where travelers can relax, watch TV, use the fast and unlimited Wi-Fi, drink unlimited tea and coffee. Rooftop area is also cozy and gives a nice view of the surrounding areas. The hotel is a few minutes walk to Little India and Dhoby Ghaut MRT stations. There are nearby 24/7 food places as well. Overall, price for the hotel is worth the stay! Hangout Hotel's tagline "No frills" is exactly what it provides-- basic accommodation but with warm hospitality. :)

- Venus (8/5): Stay at Hangout! - Restaurant facilities are okay but they need to improve food selection. The hotel provides basic needs but some are missing like toothbrush and toothpaste. But I forgot to ask the front desk office though. Location is good, near Little India Station. They've got hot and cold shower. The size of the room is okay as well since we are three. Overall, our stay in the hotel is okay.
- NUR AMALINA (10/5): unexpected my single trip so awesome - this is first time I travel alone to Singapore. the price are so cheap for 3 days. unbelievable i will share room with a few man and foreigner. but for me that is no problem because that is challenging the things i didnt do in my life. the hotel staff are so helpful guide me how to go the place that want. so exciting to share this experience with my friends at Malaysia. thanks a lot Hangout at Mt Emily keeps me safe at Singapore.

- Sriram (8/5): You should try this one at least once. - We stayed for 5 nights. The hotel staff especially Robin and Danni both were extremely welcoming and helpful. The hotel stands true to the tag line of "No frills, just fun". The concept of Veg Out and Look Out areas for chilling is a very cool concept in itself. The interiors of the hotel has been done very tastefully and contemporarily. The 2 areas which for families is a put off are : 1. The breakfast may be basic but should have some decent changes everyday of the week. 2. The walk up and down from.and to Little India Station is challenging especially those with joint problems, asthma etc etc. The hotel can run a shuttle service between hotel and little India MRT to overcome this part. Apart from above 2, rest all were all good.
- OHYOUNG (10/5): Tidy & clean hostel with reasonable price! - I stayed triple room with my parents. Hotel is very tidy & well-maintenance. Staffs are also friendly enough & helpful. I like their common facility on 2nd floor. You can take a rest with a cup of coffee or tea. Breakfast is also OK. not many choices but they served what we need for. (Simple breakfast). only thing that I want to comment is bit far from MRT station.

I booked a private room was offered it on arrival but housekeeping annoyingly decided to wake me up despite the room not needing making. The common room area is super stinky by generally it's a nice place. Friendly staff
