- Roselienda (10/5): FUN, EASY , AND A PLACE THAT I WILL BOOK AGAIN SURELY. - RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF JONKER STREET AND STADTHUYS BUILDING, NIGHT MARKET AND LOTS OF GIFT SHOP & CAFES. THE ROOM IS SPACIOUS, WITH BALCONY OVERLOOKING MALACCA RIVER AND WITH BEAUTIFUL LIGHTS. TOO NOISY COMING FROM THE BAR RIGHT IN THE FRONT OF HOTEL.BLASTING MUSIC UNTIL 2AM. NOT MUCH OF HALAL RESTAURANT AND ONES THAT WAS THERE WAS EXPENSIVE AND THE TASTE NOT MEETING OUR EXPECTIATIONS.
- Jeffrey (10/5): -
- Ahmad Firus (7/5): -
- Annette (7/5): A good location, no taxi needed to get back to the hotel. - Wonderful location, close to Jonker Street and to the Stadthuys Area.
The bed was excellent and clean and I slept well. Some noise from outside as close to the centre, but it did not really disturb. There was extra toilet paper available, 2 different soaps, travel toothbrushes and two bottles of water. The bathroom was not clean. Possibly not cleaned ahead of me arriving, as long hairs on the floor, a little black cap on the soap dish. The walls had soap stains, if hard water, scrubbing with vinegar should do the trick. The toilet was clean, but not the surrounding area. No clothes hanger or hook to hang up a blouse. I assume that when the property owner reads this you will be able to book with the assurance that it will be clean from now on.
- Guest (5/5): Great location but basic - Location Mustiness and 1 rooms air con didn’t work told them but left it non operational
- Hong Leng (5/5): - good location Water pressure too low for bath room

- Murni Ramli (7/5): - The balcony facing Jonker Street and Melaka River. Location of this hotel is spot on to explore Jonker Street Night Market. No elevator. Steep stairs to get to your room. No fridge and microwave. Just a kettle .
Checking in was a bit of a headache with misunderstanding due to language. The AC in my top floor room was not in working order but was fixed quickly enough.
- Kogilan (7/5): Kindly do some parking slots - The environment and staff very friendly Location and don't have parking spaces
- Wong (9/5): - Very good
- Lin (1/5): -
- SITI NUR RAIHANAH (3/5): - tempat dekat dgn joker wall bilik busuk, aircon ada masa tiba2 off sendiri! dari pukul 6 pagi sampai check out no aircon!
- Bambang (10/5): -
- Sarina (1/5): Never book this hotel totaly worst - Nothing Everything not good because i never stayed after booked because its so bad condition
- Suphakit (8/5): Very good -
- Nurul (5/5): Passable - Warm staff Messy hotel
- Poh (3/5): Poor - Location ok for tourists Service horrible.
Short staff
Hygiene to be improved
- Nur (8/5): Very worth it in my opinion - The location is absolutely heaven, nearby or more like next to Jonker street and just a walk a way from the Stadthuys, also with the riverside. Nothing just it is thin wall so you can hear next door people talking or walking but all good honestly.
- Michelle (3/5): Poor - the location not a really good experience they ask me to cancel my booking cz they said the room was fully booked and she already closed the booking but still the booking came in loll meanwhile i was already in melaka and i already paid. but luckily i encountered the staff by telling them that i already done my part i just want my room and suddenly she pulled out the room key 🤷🏼♀️
- Ng (4/5): Disappointing - It's very near jonker Street. That is the only plus point. The bedsheets and pillow case are yellowish. Room smells mouldy. Towel does not look clean either.
- Kent (6/5): Pleasant - Location is excellent. Inside Jonker Street. Room is a slightly old.
- Li (3/5): What a stay - The location is superb as it’s in Jonker area. Near the river, eateries, restaurants, pubs nearby. There is no lift, stairs are high. No staff contactable, they are friendly but only react when asked.
- Chan (9/5): Superb -
- Ong (6/5): Convenient for Bagpackers - - towels, toothbrushes, shampoo were provided
- Kettle and Hairdryer were provided
- Located off the main jonker street and near to the Hard Rock Cafe
- There’s a nearby Chendol kiosk worth to buy from
- Shopping Malls (Makota Parade & Aeon Bandar Raya) are within 15 minutes - there’s no daily housekeeping and replenishing of water bottles in the rooms. (We saw another hotel nearby having a water dispenser at their lobby), plus the stairs are very steep, hence it took a while to bring down the heavy luggage.
- There’s no lift , so you have elderly in your trips. Pls consider booking other hotels if you require lift access and more suited for bagpackers
- The room 207 has plenty of mosquitoes, so need to be cleaned regularly and thoroughly between booking. The coffee cups weren’t cleaned properly when we entered the room
- do consider to bring in your own toiletries and hot drinks sachets, and own mugs if you need to take the hotel for a night here.
- there’s no parking in front of the hotel, as it is located on a busy street, so will need to be ready if you happen to call your grab driver.
- Mike (10/5): Excellent - Simple and nice
- Lim (3/5): Poor - Location is good. Jonker street night market is very nearby. The hotel's location is excellent, just a few steps away from Jonker Street Night Market, making it very convenient for exploring. However, since we stayed on a Saturday night, the noise from the bustling night market was overwhelming. Our room faced the street, and loud music and crowd chatter could be heard until 1-2 AM, making it difficult to sleep until the early hours.
Additionally, the Wi-Fi in the room was weak and unreliable. While the location is great for sightseeing, the noise issue and poor connectivity made our stay uncomfortable. If you're a light sleeper, this may not be the best choice, especially on weekends.
- Sien (3/5): Poor -
- Kowselya (1/5): Bad -
- Haslinda (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (7/5): Best location near Jonker Street. - Although not posh the room was clean and spacious. Everything worked. The lady manager was fantastic, super helpful and went out of her way for us. No lift.
- Yien (3/5): I will never return. - Location is convenient No body in reception ever and all self service. No hot water, no tea or coffee, only one towel for two guest, the floor in the room was totally collapsing and extremely dangerous.
- Khin (8/5): Convenient to go every where. - Location
- Ahnin (5/5): Passable -
- Wen (7/5): Good -
- allyshaw2024 (10/5): Overall a 8/10, aircon works well & people there r super friendly🫶 - The receptionist is really sweet, I think she also has her grandson or son working with her. The room is overall nice the air conditioning works well and the beds are all alright. There is a kettle which is really nice and can cook cup noodles at night. It's also really really near the lu LA La store there's some good stuff there incase you need anything. At the lobby there is a restaurant with a few meals/desserts the meal is pretty good at the uncle there is really really friendly, I feel like overall the people here are really sweet. The hotel is a bit old fashioned but it isn't too bad, I actually like the old fashioned style. I rate this hotel a 8/10 it's pretty good, I'm in a family of 5 and we all feel comfortable staying here. The lighting for the room I was staying in is a bit dark I seen the reviews before coming here, they said aircon wasn't working but I came here and the aircon was pretty cold if I'm not going to lie. There's a part of the room that has a high celling, sort of a small living room is honestly really cool me n my family loves it a lot. The price is really affordable kinda worth it and the stairs are a bit steep so just know that. Again, I love the receptionist and the restaurant uncle/aunties they r like the sweetest people on earth we need more people like this, more kindness. 🫶
They provide: Towels, water (around 4 500ml bottles), hairdryer, shampoo & body wash, kettle and a fly swatter.
- Chih (9/5): Superb - The room is big and cozy. It’s very convenient as you can go to jonker street easily There is no parking spaces nearby
- Albert (9/5): Superb -
- Ai (9/5): Superb -
- Debbie (5/5): Passable - Good position, comfy bed, value for money helpful staff
- Seok (9/5): Superb -
- Yuan (10/5): Worth my money. Definitely will come here again. - Very Close to a lot of key locations (Jonker Street, Baba Nyonya Museum, Cheng Ho Museum), right across the police station.
If you're hungry there's at least 4 restaurants within 10 steps!
Recommended for couples or solo travelers! Very limited parking spaces.
The hotel owner was very kind enough to let us parked at the only parking space for the hotel.
This is not a critic but a praise for the hotel owner.
Melaka Tourism higher ups should really consider building more parking spaces if they want more tourists.
- Cynthia (9/5): Superb -
- Rosilah (6/5): Pleasant - Strategic location for tourists. So noisy and at the first night no water supply but overall was convinient
- Jagadish (8/5): Excellent! - Location was very strategic and the staff were very courteous! All good!
- Haslinda (6/5): The hotel needs to improve seriously on their facilities and management. I would not return to this hotel in my next vis - The location of the hotel is very strategic at the city centre. It is only about 800 m away from the Stadthuy (A Famosa), and is about 500 m away from the famous Jonker Street. The Melaka River is just behind the hotel and it is accessible from the hotel. The negative sides of the hotel are:
(1) Just a basic hotel, the bed really not comfortable, the pillow also hard, the bed have a sound not balance.
2) the hotel is converted from shop lot.
3) the wifi is free, but it is not working
the hotel requested government tax at RM 8 upon check in?😲 I am doubt as I have already make the full payment online
Hence, Difficult to get Halal Food you must walk to pasar malam to get the halal food, or you must walk to dataran pahlawan to get the restaurant
The problem are If you bring your old parents this hotel are not suitable for them because that no lift provided.
In this hotel. The room Price is a bit expensive, breakfast not included.
If you check in 3 day housekeeping did not change the tower.
If you’re Muslim please bring your own prayer-mate
Because they didn’t provide ( not Muslim friendly)
- Jamie (1/5): Terrible hotel - Nothing Cleanliness
- Dusin (7/5): Good -
- Puspawati (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marina (8/5): The winning point of this hotel is the strategic location. Everything is within walking distance! - The strategic location. That s all. For the price that I've paid, the facilities are very basic. No 3in1 drink provided, no extra pillow, floor a little bit dusty, no indoor slipper. Towel is provided upon request. There is no lift and I am glad that I read the review first and decided to pack my clothes using backpack. Noisy surrounding from the opposite pub and Jonker Street. Not advisable if you are travelling with small kids /baby or person who is sensitive to noise. Also. if you re driving you need to park quite far and there is parking area opposite Casa Del Rio hotel. If you re lucky you can get an empty spot behind the hotel. Do not simply park at yellow line else u ll get summon for RM100. The only winning point for this hotel is its strategic location. All the major tourist attraction are within 5 mins walking distance only. If I am travelling without my family again I would not mind to stay at this hotel for the second time.
- Chye (5/5): Passable -
- Chye (6/5): Pleasant - Good location Didn't upkeep the rooms
- John (8/5): Great location and nice people. - Location and the green colour.
Excellent communication by email and late checking process was good too.
And the staff were great and organised a taxi for us at a difiicult time. All good.
- Drazrael (8/5): Great place to stay - The location was excellent and the bed large and comfortable. The hotel was affordable. You do get a little noise from Jonker street, but this was part of the reason I used this hotel. For the location. The Aircon was weak and they were quite short staffed.
- Azman (1/5): Unpleasant. - Nothing. Didn’t even stay the night after going in the room. Decided to go to another hotel immediately. No parking, had to park at a public open carpark about 100m away
Dingy room
- Rebecca (7/5): Good cheap hotel- good value for what you pay - Decent hotel for the price - fantastic location
- Miriko (5/5): Passable -
- Nick (6/5): Pleasant -
- Refiani (9/5): What a great place - The location The stairs is too high
- Thoo (5/5): Passable -
- Aliciatan6388 (6/5): Pleasant - The room was spacious and clean. The hotel location was just around the corner from Jonker and most of the main attractions which are really great. The air con was also cold enough especially in this current heatwave. They also very kindly keep our luggage past our checkout time. The building does not have a lift and the steps are high, so if your knees are not so good, do request for rooms on the lower floor. The water pump was incredibly loud during our stay, so every time someone flushes the toilet or turns on the tap, the water pump started. The owner said that it was being fixed, so do ask when you make your booking. Otherwise, have ear plugs on standby.
- Seng (5/5): Passable -
- Aik (1/5): Bad -
- Dorothy (9/5): Superb -
- Yong (7/5): Good -
- Ling (7/5): With family and stay only 1 day, good location with a lot of nice food surrounding, still acceptable. - The location. The bed was very big. Too dim, door’s lock at bathroom was broken, ventilation not good. No lift.
- Veter (3/5): Check in waiting time over 2hours ko - I booked the king bed and they give us queen bed,I wait 2hours to get the room ready for us to check in..?
They give us a room on 3th floor and no lift ....
We have to carry our bag no assistant...
A small boy is take charge at the counter and a old lady say no other workers is available..?
This hotel is near jonker st but no car park facility and we have to park our car same 500kms away.......Pay RM12.00 a night...
What a experience for us...
Luckily it is very near to jonker st so we did enjoy walking around to experience the cny environment........hahaha We booked king size bed bed get only the Queen size bed......Price the same....
- Trina (7/5): Good - This location was great 👍
- Wang (5/5): Passable - Good location The place is not very clean and the room need more maintenance.
The AC is very old and very loud, I couldn’t sleep for 2 nights due to the loud noise, tested during the night the noise was 68 hertz.
- Mok (6/5): Pleasant - The location is near to the jonker walk The toilet
- Sarah (5/5): Passable - Near to jonker street. The mouldy smell of the room. Broken tv.
- Vaarliish (9/5): Superb -
- Ain (6/5): it very good - nice
- alwaystravel8873 (2/5): Other than location nothing is best - Frankly, the best part of this hotel is location, it is only 1 min walk to the jonker street ( night market on Friday sat and sun only). There is no lift in the hotel, have to climb stairs and not recommended for the elderly. The building is old and the room is made of wood therefore you can hear the stomping from above unit. The room that we stayed cabinet are faulty (missing one side of the door). As we are facing the street, the restaurant beside on the music till close to 1am and you can hear the music loud and damaging to our rest. Motorbike, people talking downstairs can be heard loud and clear. Good rest will probably start at 2am onwards where most noises come to a stop. Hotel do not ribose parking space and you need to drive to a public parking lot and pay rm12 for overnight which also means you are not allowed to retrieve the car till next day. Beware of the parking lot, remember to keep the receipt, they tried to ask me for another 12rm payment saying I park overnight, luckily I kept my receipt.
- Jimmy (8/5): Very good -
- Lynn (8/5): Very good - We checked in close to midnight. Hotel provided clear instructions how to check in using a passcode as there was understandly no reception at this hour.
Accommodation is conveniently located at the heart of Jonker Walk.
Family room is very spacious. There was literally no reception throughout our 2 day stay. We took the keys & returned them at the reception counter when we checked out.
It did get a bit noisy at night as we stayed in a family room. The room is next to an eatery that plays pub music till late. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay.
- Richard (7/5): Well located clean hotel without frills. No hotel cafe or restaurant. -
- Jd (10/5): Exceptional -
- Japing (9/5): In general we quite like the place because of it location and big space. - I love the room I booked because of it big space for family with enough beds The place is very noisy at night until 1:00 AM because of the loud music from nearby bar & grills.
Unprofessional small children at the counter as the receptionist.
Water pressure is weak.
- Siau (6/5): It’s a waste without proper hotel management with such a great location - Great location I got the last available room. Air-conditional not function. Owner said will get ppl come and fix later and gave me a stand fan. I returned 12am it’s still not fix and no one at reception by that time and I can’t do anything as it’s too late. Disappointed with the empty promised.
Bedside lamp not functioning. Only have remote for tv box. TV need to go press the on off button behind the TV.
Cleaning not very detail. Still have spider web and dust.
Room smelling as humid and the room no window. I need to open the toilet door while sleeping cause no air con and the only small window in the toilet.
- Chiu (7/5): Good -
- Ros (9/5): Superb -
- Sk (5/5): Passable -
- Faisal (7/5): Good -
- Gek (6/5): Pleasant - near to jonker street the room we stay was near to a pub. the room insulation was so bad that we can feel the floor vibrating when the pub blast the music. the music and karoke from the pub last till 1am. :(
- Mayakrisenan (1/5): Bad -
- Judy (8/5): Heeren in Jonker Street - Location was perfect as everything was within walking distance. Food, sightseeing and jonker street has activity in the weekend. Bathtub in the toilet. Worried of falling down since there is no anti slip mat or a bar handle for support.
- Mohammad (3/5): No comment - No breakfast. The location - good The room for the money should be at lower floor.
- Sathish (9/5): good - strategic location parking lot abit further
- Jenny (8/5): Very good - The staff, the hotel location, the room size and beds, there's window so some sunlight into the room Water flow for shower so small and slow 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️, there's black out for 3 hours in the summer hot afternoon🥵🥵🥵, the room right on top of a small bar so music till 12AM😭😭😭
