• Ramchibuchi (9/5): Great! I'd love to come back sometime. - A great view of the mountains, which are just a few meters from the hotel. The staff were very friendly. The hotel pool is surrounded by nature, making a visit to the pool incredibly relaxing. Some people might be bothered by the mosque near the hotel and the occasional "singing," but it didn't spoil my stay at all.

Le défaut d'entretien des arbres de ce qui pourrait être un très beau parc si entretenu. La salle de sport à l'écart complètement à l'abandon. La piscine pourrait être jolie si nettoyée tous les jours. Le système de filtration d'eau est très bruyant. Le bar de la piscine idem à l'abandon. Le cadre nature de cet établissement pourrait être magnifique si entretenu et mis en valeur

• Stephen (7/5): Good location and excellent staff, but quite expensive for what it is. - Good location and very helpful staff. 10-15 minute walk from the beach so close enough to the bars and restaurants but far enough away to be away from the hustle and bustle. The area is vibrant with lots of bars and restaurants and this hotel is in a perfect location. Breakfast was good with a wide selection. The hotel decor is a bit tired and there was also a smell of drains on some days. Probably not the hotels fault as we noticed it elsewhere, but it was quite prominent at the hotel. It looks as though there used to be a pool bar but it wasn't open when we visited in March and it seemed to have been closed for a long time.

• Małgorzata (10/5): - Do morza 10 min spacerkiem, potem w prawo zatłoczone centrum wzdłuż plaży, a w lewo spokojniejsza plaża przy resortach hotelowych, jeszcze dalej szlak turystyczny, drewnianymi kładkami monky rail do spokojniejszej plaży w zatoce. W tej chwili (2026.03) trawa tam remont całego resortu hotelowego więc uroczo nie jest, ale jak skończą będzie pięknie. Śniadanie ok, stacja jajowa,, dużo świeżych owoców i warzyw na sałatkę. Też gotowe dania w podgrzewaczach, trochę tajskie trochę europejskie i trochę zimne😉 Za resortami hotelowymi płynie rzeką ścieków, uchodzi do morza w pobliżu monky trial. Generalnie miejsce dobre dla ludzi lubiących gwar i hałas i nocne życie. Nie jest to spokojne miejsce. Warto wybrać się na wycieczkę łodzią na 4 wyspy, lub na Railay beach, tam są cudne plaże

• Janey-may (6/5): A good base for a few nights - The second room was lovely and clean and we had a great 4 night stay, the bathroom was lovely. Good shower. Bed comfy and the room was spacious enough for what we needed. Staff helped quickly with anything we asked. We didnt have breakfast so cant comment. The hotel is a little way out of beach, bar and nightmarket area of ao nong the walking distance is far more than is stated. The ramp is pretty steep. The swimming pool was cloudy and uninviting. The first room was dirty but we were swapt immediatly and the staff where really helpful.

• Richard (9/5): Happy with my stay at the Marine Express Hotel - The jungle setting, nature, and tranquility. The kindness of all the staff we encountered. The pleasant room with its balcony and the lovely pool. Excellent breakfast with very good products. The pool was closed for 3 out of our 6 days. The pool at the Sugar Hotel was much less pleasant and had very little space. The last night was difficult to sleep well, with the constant noise of a hydraulic pump.

• vanessa (1/5): Moldy room, unusable pool - only the breakfast was okay. - The only thing that was somewhat okay was the breakfast. The entire room was damp and moldy. The pool was not usable because the water had gone bad. The staff only noticed this after three days and then closed the pool. The room was not cleaned even though it had been explicitly requested. Unfortunately, not recommended—especially not with children! Health hazard.

• Ouimet (7/5): Correct sans plus - Bien situé en retrait de la route . Les employés étaient très souriant et gentil . Serviable. Par contre établissement vieillissant et pas super propre . Le mobilier pour déjeuner était pas très usé . Je comprends que c’est beaucoup utilisé mais tout de même . La piscine est belle mais les chaises longue pas confortable . De plus la piscine a cessé de fonctionner l’avant dernière journée et l’eau est devenu trouble.

• Christine (5/5): Hôtel vétuste mais personnel très sympathique - Les chambres sont confortables et le lit grand lit appréciable. La piscine est agréable, même si ses abords sont également vieillissants. Le personnel, en revanche, est très serviable et sympathique : c’est un vrai point fort de l’établissement. Photos jointes pour illustrer mon commentaire. J’ai réservé deux chambres dont une une chambre vue falaise afin d’être au calme, et j’ai payé un supplément pour cela. Or, ma chambre donnait en réalité sur la route, avec vue sur l’hôtel ibis et sur une mosquée. Entre la circulation et les appels à la prière jour et nuit, le calme recherché n’était pas du tout au rendez-vous. Le supplément payé pour la “vue falaise” ne me semble donc absolument pas justifié, ce type de chambre devrait être proposé à un tarif inférieur dans ces conditions. L’hôtel est assez vétuste et mériterait une rénovation extérieure (photos sur le site sont trompeuses). Par ailleurs, l’annonce mentionnait un bar à la piscine, qui n’a jamais été ouvert durant mon séjour et il servait de stockage de matériel de jardinage (voir photos) ainsi qu’un restaurant qui, en réalité, n’existait pas non plus (seul le petit déjeuner était servi). Je suis déçue par mon séjour qui n’est pas conforme à l’annonce de l’hôtel, j’ai le sentiment d’avoir été abusée.
• tollemer (8/5): Une adresse à recommander pour le calme - Le calme de l'hôtel lié à la localisation, pas très loin de la mer mais assez pour ne pas être dérangé par les bruits de la rue. Le personnel d'accueil très sympathique. Le petit verre de jus offert afin de nous faire patienter avant de récupérer nos chambres. Ainsi que le verre offert au bord de la piscine. Petit déjeuner très correct. Un peu cher peut être (300 baths). Le confort et la déco de la chambre. Il manque un peu d'entretien en général. Un petit rafraîchissement de la salle de bain, de la peinture extérieure du bâtiment serait un plus. Dommage aussi de stocker les sacs poubelles au vue de tous au petit déjeuner. Un bar ouvert en journée et le soir serait appréciable et trouverait une clientèle je pense. Malgré tout l'impression reste très positive. On a passé 4 jours avec 3 grands ados et c'était cool.

• Nikol (10/5): Great peaceful stay in chaotic city - We absolutely loved our stay! Hotel has a perfect location, close everywhere but not in the “heat” of the city. You feel like im your own piece of jungle there, loved it. It has great attention to detail as the fisherman theme goes. Breakfast was amazing - selection of fruit, vegetable, pastry and asian food plus great egg station. But the breakfast terrace is the best thing about it! Room was clean, great shower pressure, no problem with hot water. Staff very kind all the time. The couch seemed a bit dirty. From the outside the buildings look a bit outdated, also some of the equipment, but it’s still ok, just not brand new.

• Tracey (10/5): Perfect location - Location was good, 10 minute walk to the beach. Lots of eating places and shop's. Breakfast nice with choices, typical thailand breakfast. Front desk very helpful and can organise taxis. Steep walk up to reception.
• Rafal (2/5): I am very sorry to share it, but this place needs to be avoided due to many reasons - One lady from reception desk was very kind and supportive all the time. Appreciate the option for breakfast box. No elevator and had to carry 2 large suitcases myself on a 3rd floor. Staff barely communicated in ENG. WiFi completely not working (I reported it twice and been offered a room change on a second day, which is a nice gesture). Pool area is messy - bar is just a tools closet, 1/2 showers only functional. Breakfast were cold every day. Cleaning was not the best - one day two parts of pajama set were in 2 different corners of a room. For that price tag I expected a little more.
