- Julia (10/5): - This is a lovely B&B on the hill behind Talkeetna. Our room, which was upstairs, had amazing views of Denali and the Alaska Range of mountains. It was also very spacious and clean. Breakfast is self-serve, but plentiful with lots of options. We loved this B&B, especially because of the views and the north-facing orientation of the balconies, which meant we could see the Northern Lights right from our room balcony or the main balcony of the house.

Bill is a wonderful host who goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable, including the wide breakfast spread every morning, the amazing recommendations for hikes and activities he provides, and the cozy rooms that were just perfect! On a clear day, you will have a great view of Denali and the rest of the Alaskan Range. This place is a must stay for everyone visiting Talkeetna/Denali, you won't regret it!

- Cem (9/5): An unexpected gem - We only stayed one night but we had an amazing stay. Our room had a balcony with a clear view of Mt Denali (also got lucky with the weather) which we enjoyed greatly. The room was spotless clean as well and had comfortable furniture. The breakfast could have been better as there wasn't hot food, but a wide selection of cereals, granola, even banana bread. We stayed in the main building above the kitchen area, which meant that we had to get up earlier than planned due to sounds of people having breakfast.

The bed was comfortable. Breakfast is simple but enough to stop you from driving so long. Bill is frieny and knowledgeable of the area. I had a good stay and would be back for sure.

- Zoltan (9/5): Nice appartment - We had unit 5 which is at the back of the owners house. App. has plenty of space, bathroom is small but is OK for two. Breakfast is continental w/o fruits, but the kithcen is well equiped so we made ham&eggs. Property is 10 minutes drive from the centre and thatswhy is peacefull. Had great view to Denaly from the main terrace.. Owner was not really friendly with other guests we met in the kitchen.

Maybe we were just unlucky and - View of Mt Denali right from our second floor window as well has watching a moose in the backyard with her baby. The owners were fantastic and helping us with a problem with our tire. Unfortunately, the rotting smell in the hallway was more than we could bear and I would not return.

The breakfast was excellent and the host was there to answer questions about the area. He engaged in conversation with everyone and made you feel welcome.

The following morning, we had a wonderful breakfast there, we got to eat some home baked blueberry bread which was so tasty. Bill gave us some useful tips about hiking areas along our drive to Denali.. overall this was an amazing experience!!

- Linda (10/5): Wonderful stay in an adorable cabin! - The stand-alone cabin where we stayed was adorable and the view of Denali/Mt. McKinley absolutely spectacular. The bed was comfortable and the black-out shades worked well. There was ample space for a table/chairs, sofa, and kitchen in addition to a fully furnished bath. The following morning, there was a hearty continental breakfast in the main building. We were able to meet Bill, who was very personable and hospitable. Highly recommend. While we were there, Bill was working to get a new internet service set up so we were unable to connect during our stay. Given it was only one night, this was not an issue.

We had a clear shot straight to Denali. The host even had fresh flowers in a vase on the patio. Nice touch! The breakfast in the morning was great for us and the company was even better. Highly recommend!! We liked it all so nothing to report here.

The self-service breakfast was very good and got us ready for the day. Nothing really. Of course on a foggy day you would miss out

- Norma (10/5): Denali heaven - Bill is probably the best person to give advice on the area. Not one of his pieces of advice as to Denali, restaurants, places to go was wrong. He gave us Room no 3 and when we woke up in the morning had Denali in the window. No better scenery to wake up to.

No hot food. View was spectacular, we loved it because Denali was out and seeing “in person” what we’ve seen on the Denali cam for years was a highlight! We never met the owners, this wasn’t a big deal to us, but we didn’t answer the “staff” question because we didn’t ever see them.
