- Christopher (7/5): Reasonable option - Ideally I would like to give this a 7.5 rating but that isn’t possible under the Booking.com scoring system. The hotel is great on a number of levels, spacious rooms with large beds, extensive breakfast selection, very friendly attentive staff, great location (walking distance to central areas). Sadly though we found it all a bit spartan and uninspiring plus the bathroom needed a deep clean around all the edges and corners.

- Colin (9/5): A wonderful stay at the Aria Gajayana, Malang, worth coming back to. - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Aria Gajayana. The rooms were both spacious, clean and comfy. Staff were very friendly and very helpful. Beds were very comfortable. The ensuite and wardrobes were of a good size and well situated opposite each other. The price was excellent considering that breakfast was included and although we did not use it the laundry service was well priced. Breakfast was similar yet different each day and always delicious. The food was locally oriented but recognisable and delicious to all. The pool was perfect for the climate and we enjoyed an afternoon swim and picnic. Tables and chairs are placed in the shade and you can bring your own picnic or have food brought to you from the restaurant. The restaurant caters for lunch and dinner too at Malang prices but we often ate out occasionally enjoying a delicious club sandwich with a Bintang at the end of a day. The Hotel is next to the Olympic Mall which is large and has many known stores. It is most convenient for doing shopping getting day to day "supplies" or finding a nice spot to dine. We occasionally walked the mall and ate one night at Sushi Tei. Depending on the room location the one of the mosques nearby can be disturbing. Wardrobe could have had more hangers and/or shelves. In addition, the pool is divided into two sections a shallow section for kids and a deeper section for adults. Getting out of the adult section can be difficult especially for older persons, like me.

- David (10/5): Really nice hotel. - This is a really nice hotel. Attached to a shopping centre which is handy. Big rooms, comfy beds, good choice for breakfast. Very helpful staff. Highly recommend. Nothing.

The rooftop was lovely - but they can do so much more with it if it had a refurb! It’s very dated. I feel like this is a hotel that’s past its time. With some investment in breakfast, rooms, facilities to bring it into 2025- it could be a really excellent hotel. The WiFi was ok but not great. Breakfast needs improvement

Die Zimmer sind gut, aber sehr hellhörig. Neben dem Hotel gibt es eine große Mall (Shoppingcenter MOG) mit direktem Zugang vom Hotel zur Mall.

The shower’s tiles were murderously slippery when wet. The bidet…?

The traffic was busy, maybe because city area. Overall l would say, value for money. Like l said, the traffic was busy because in the city.
- Paul (6/5): Satisfactory Stay without much high expectation. - The staff services were excellent accept for one of the car park exit attendant who insisted that my Indonesian friend are not entitled to free parking even thou he was a guest of the hotel staying for 4 nights. He paid to avoid further issue. There was a big sign "FREE PARKING" at the reception. I guest this is culturally wrong to be happening to their own country folks. My friend was staying in the 2nd room booked by me as a customer of the hotel throughout our 2nd stay. The room upkeep had to be refreshed as molds and cracks can be seen in the toilets. The shower cubicle floor should be treated with anti skid as they are very slippery when wet. Towels are too worn out. Bedroom is comfortable and clean. Overall our stay is considered satisfactory with not having to expect more. Hope that the hotel can improve on the toilet issues so that I we can consider staying with them again.

The bathroom door should be clean, spotless without any stains. Free from fungus is higly appreciated. 2. Some walls in the room should have been re-painted. 3. Laundry bags must be present as well.

The A/C was broken and would not switch off, freezing all night until I complained and we got moved. No shoes for walking in shower and the floor was like skating on ice!!
- johannes (8/5): Good hotel - The staffs were amazingly polite. I booked room only without the breakfast but they gave me free breakfast anyway. The room was average, cracked wall here and there. A little mold in the bathroom I think it's a common thing in tropical countries. We stayed there for 9 days, they never changed the bed sheets or replaced the coffee cups with the clean ones unless we put the spoons inside the cups. But overall, it was an excellent stay.

- Rajesh (8/5): Family staycation - Overall our stay at this hotel was just ok. Nothing special about the hotel except for the location that is next to the mall. It was very difficult to get a parking spot and sometimes we had to park at the mall's parking lot. The interior design of the hotel makes the hotel looks old, in my opinion. The amenities were not as complete as other hotels I stayed in with the same rate. However, they gave us some complimentary drinks. The breakfast was ok with one or two dishes that hit the spot.
- Stephanie (9/5): Superb - The room was a great size and was very spacious. It was spotlessly clean, very modern and the beds were comfortable. We got into Malang at around 3am and we were able to check in at this time. Staff at the hotel were very helpful and we were especially thankful to the receptionist on our last morning who helped arranged a taxi whilst we ran late for a train!! The pool was big, clean and often empty! The location right next to a large mall was also helpful. This hotel was a great base to explore Malang. Personally for me some sunbeds around the pool would be good. There were some wooden 'huts' to sit in but they were not comfortable for very long. A sunbed or two just gives another option although I appreciate the pool was often empty. The team were also slow in responding to questions through booking.com

- Naïma (9/5): I loved it here! Linked to the mall via parking garage and it has a little gym! - It’s linked to the mall. Also, there is a little gym next to the pool/spa. I loved the little gym there. It had towels ready and bottled water and airco. I also think the rooms were really nice and spacious. It could have been cleaned a bit better. I found a lost potato fry of the previous guest in the minibar. But this is forgivable, since cleaning staff get little time to clean up.

- W (6/5): Average stay - The location was really good within a complex of a reasonable sized mall in central Malang. Access was easy. Room was reasonably sized for 3 persons. A variety of food for breakfast. One of the bed sheet was already worn out with holes. One of the coffee cup was littered with something like sand which couldn't come off. Part of the curtain was also torn with a hole. Parking was a bit limited during weekends.
