- Jennifer (10/5): - We liked that it was a minute drive from the ferry and had a great hiking trail across the street. We walked into town daily but noticed there was a free shuttle that was also available not far from the hotel on the other side across beside the Boulangeri. We didn't eat at the hotel but noticed they offered coffee, toast and muffins for $5. There were microwaves outside to use and a fridge in our room. The upper floor is better even though there were stairs- no one above making noise.

- Caroline (2/5): - We stayed for three nights. Our beds were never made, garbage never emptied and we did not get clean towels. TV didn't work in two rooms, there was mold on the tile and window sill in my bathroom, the cord for the hairdryer mount was cut, and furniture layout was illogical dur to the mobile AC unit. When we arrived, we were told the cook was on vacation so we wouldn't get our complimentary breakfast. When I softly pushed back, they agreed to give us cereal, toast and coffee. They only handed out peanut butter when asked. Every morning I was advised I got the 'last peanut butter' till another guest asked for some. Staff were lovely and the location is great but I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Breakfast was provided only for one day. Cold eggs, toast, cereal, bananas, coffee. Cost @ 15.00 The other days just toast, cereal and coffee for free. The tables were not cleaned between guests.

- suzanna (8/5): - Beautiful 4 hour hike literally right behind the hotel. Balcony was nice for enjoying my morning coffee while watching for whales. Comfortable, clean and quiet.

Beds are not particularly comfortable. $15 breakfast in the motel is buffet-style but very poor selection and quality. Place was lacking overall (screens and windows that didn't close well, portable AC leaked water, shower leaked water and made a mess). Adequate as a place to sleep but I wouldn't be rushing back to spend another night there.

- mary-catherine (6/5): - The property is quaint. When booking through Expedia this hotel came up as including breakfast. That is why I chose this property. Turns out breakfast costs $13 per person. If you can contact the property owners and rectify this problem so breakfast for 2 is included, I will use Expedia in the future.

Staff had to be told to quite down as their loud speaking in the adjoing utility room would not cease and the hour was past 9:00 p.m. I would never stay there again and encourage others even if on a budget to search elsewhere.

I had to clean the area around my car in order to avoid a blow out. Also,the room was way below our expectation and not quite the pictures shown in advertising. - Verified traveler (4/5): Needs a total rehall - This is a motel from the 60’s with grout that was black, the floors were slanted and you had to hold the toilet handle down until it had completely flushed. There was a floor model air conditioner and a chair to sit on in the open closet. The stairs to the second level were also crooked with peeling paint. An approximately 10 year old boy showed us to our room and was also the one who checked us out. The bed was comfortable. It was the only room available in town so we had to stay.

- Suzie (6/5): Un autre hôtel la prochaine fois - Accueil difficile puisque géré par une famille asiatique qui ne parle pas beaucoup le français. La jeune fille qui nous a accueilli a fait venir un petit bonhomme de 10 ans pour nous guider à notre chambre. Elle n’a pas pu répondre à mes questions mais nous avons eu nos réponses en lisant le document derrière notre porte de chambre. Donc un accueil un peu gênant nous laissant sans réponses. Lits très mous donc mal dormi. Personne à la réception ni au service de déjeuner avant 7:30. Par chance nous avions de quoi manger dans notre chambre, nous avions une activité prévue tôt le matin.

- Nathalie (4/5): Médiocre - A la réservation et au téléphone j'avais demandé une chambre avec vue sur l'eau, nous sommes arrivées le soir vers 21h30 et notre chambre était a l'arrière dans le fond de la cour, même pas capable de nous stationner car un autre vehicule etait devant notre porte et cachait la vue et etais loin d'être les photos que nous avions vu, les personnes à la réception parle a peine français, ils nous ont présenté d'autres chambres ..finalement nous avons eu une chambre au deuxième étage quand j'avais demandé au premier ...nous avions vu sur le lac par la fenêtre de salle de bain et l'autre fenêtre arrière, par devant si ont voulait voir l'eau, nous devions se coller la face dans vitre, le corps de travers pour reussir à voir l'eau..pas de cafetière dans la chambre , elle est dehors en bas sur table et au prix de 2.50$ le café..nous avons demandé un crédit le lendemain , car chambre non représentative des photos et ne valait nullement le prix que nous avions payé..credit qui a été refusé et tout ce que nous avons eu est le petit dejeuner continentale gratuit ....heureusement les draps etait propre je ne conseille aucunement cet hôtel a personne ...c'était ma première et dernière fois que je séjournait a cet hotel

If you are a sound sleeper than you will be fine, otherwise count on listening to the rumble of transport trucks sitting idle waiting to board the Ferry and or gearing up to climb the hill after they leave the Ferry. The property is in poor shape will limited assess to towels, soap etc. so make sure you have your own supplies.

- Verified traveler (6/5): It's the resort of last resort! - This is an ancient motel and I'm guessing that the current operators bought it not very long ago. It seems like they're fixing it up in stages. I was in room 8 and the floors in the bedroom and bathroom were new, but the bathroom fixtures were like something from the 1960s. There were two windows with screens in the back and no air conditioning. Luckily, the weather was cool and it didn't matter, but this place would be like an oven in the summer. Two windows facing the parking lot did NOT have screens, so there's no cross ventilation. One of the back windows doesn't close, so it'll be interesting in winter. The neighborhood has lots of sand everywhere. It's just the geology of the area. This leads to the next thing: When I pulled back the bedspread, there was sand between it and the sheets. Here's my guess: It's next to impossible to avoid tracking sand into the room on your shoes. Whoever made the bed was an amateur and a slob. While changing the sheets, they tossed the bedspread onto the floor instead of draping it over one of the chairs. What kind of monster does this? Bedding doesn't belong on the floor. The building in the picture is NOT where you'll be staying. Don't be charmed by that picture. There's a separate two story motel building. Go elsewhere until these people get a handle on how to run a business. There's plenty of other lodging in Tadoussac.

- Aline (4/5): - It was very noisy, they put a family of 4 people on top of us with yough kids....no coffee machine in the room ? Really! The only good thing about the hotel is the fact that there is lake in the back of the motel. I wouldn't recommend this motel
- Lorna (2/5): - The rooms are extremely basic, washroom clean but everything outdated. When curtains open cleaning staff walking by. Right by the ferry so noisy. Had kids above us running around at night and early morning. I went upstairs to ask them to be more considerate. Has a continental breakfast but we passed, was empty so can’t imagine any good. Room was so dreary we made sure we did activities so we had to spend as little time as possible in room. Tried to contact another hotel to check out early but wasn’t available. Honestly, just horrid!

There is some traffic noise from vehicles coming off the ferry through the night, but it was totally fine with the front windows closed and back windows open. Our rooms were clean and well appointed. - Verified traveler (6/5): Ok but better options available - The room was dated and mostly clean with a few missed spots, the motel was quite noisy at night and first thing and the bed wasn’t great. Location is ok for Tadoussac and is better than staying on the other side of the ferry but next time we will be staying at hotel Tadoussac or one of the b&bs further into the town as they’re only slightly more expensive but will be a nicer stay.
- Tammy (6/5): - This is a place to sleep. If that is all you want it certainly provides. It was clean neat and tidy, just very outdated. We were at the back so the street wasnt noisy. The owners were very nice. Very close to many shops and the beach and the marina. All within walking distance.
