- Jillian (10/5): - The position of the cabin was very private with easy parking. The bush srrounds had abundant bird life and it was delightfully peaceful. The cottage was immaculately clean, right down to the smallest detail
Every need was catered for in the set up of the cottage, and it was a perfect size for us. The bed was excellent and even had an electric blanket for cold nights. Abundant hot water and good shower.
Good size fridge for our 5 day stay and convenient bbq.
Easy distance to a great choice of cellar doors, also to the local pub and the local bike trail. Great base for access to Stanthorpe and Warwick.
The personal touches of candles magazines and toiletries contributed to the enjoyment. Plenty of firewood for the fire place.
Our host was delightful and all communication was answered promptly.
Highly recommend Cypress Ridges.
- Neal (8/5): Splendid. Thank you Carole and family. -
- Megan (10/5): - Great little cottage! Kitchen is equipped with everything you need. Milk, tea, coffee and hot chocolate provided. The sarenity was amazing. Great proximity to the wineries.
- Makhan (9/5): -
- shane (10/5): - Love staying here. So quiet and peaceful. The cabins are always clean and have everything you need. A fire in the winter. Fire pit. Lots of local wildlife. Great place to unwind off the road and bbq, or head down to the local Ballandean pub just down the road.
- shelley (10/5): - Very quiet and secluded. Comfortable and warm with the fire. Great place to stay A little far from shops and restaurants but we loved the serenity
- William (8/5): A comfortable cottage in a good location close to girraween national park and good wineries. - Fireplace and ample supply of wood was very welcome.
- Toni (8/5): It was lovely but sad to say we would not book again due to the very awful hard bed.sleep is everything - Such a beautiful location. Quiet and so peaceful. We loved the wild life. Kangaroos and birds. Just beautiful. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. Unfortunately this would be the only reason we would not book again. We both felt the bed was so dam hard. My husband included. Such a shame. They also need some xtra heating in the bedroom for the very cold nights. By the time we got up in the morning the fire place gave absolutely no heat. And the main bedroom was freezing.
- Helena (10/5): - Very cute and lovely cottage. It had everything you would need. We loved the welcoming book with recommendations from around the area. We will definitely be back.
- Lisa (10/5): - Lovely cottage would stay again
- Esther (8/5): Delightful cottage very comfortable and bonus it was dog friendly - Beautiful property and very comfortable private cottages No heating in the cottage apart from the fireplace
- Colin (10/5): Will be back! - Loved the location. Great base to explore Ballandean Vineyards. Hostess very friendly

- Sonya (9/5): Superb - Loved the fireplace. Nothing.
- Susan (10/5): Perfect Weekend Away - Super clean, quiet location, comfy bed, very hot shower ! Loved my stay.
- James (8/5): - It was great, shame the flyscreen door was falling off but no complaints, oh the possums were quite noisy. Beautiful setting, private and quiet. Thank you! Great attention to detail!
- Troy (8/5): - Clean and tidy, nice for a getaway
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Estate (10/5): Exceptional -
- Montgomery (8/5): Lovely location for a few days away! - Lovely location and a great spot when travelling with dogs. The cottage was very clean and had everything necessary for a comfortable stay, we loved having tank water again! The only disappointment was the queen bed was really uncomfortable. Overall I would definitely recommend Cyprus Ridge to others. The Queen Bed. The singles were much better.
- Kelley (10/5): - Perfect, quaint little cottage with a lovely view over the dam. I would definitely stay again. Lovely hosts that were flexible around check in arrangements and were very helpful in providing information around local tourist attractions.
- Laura (9/5): Superb -
- shane (10/5): - Great place to stay. Quiet, private, lotsa nature, plenty of parking, we have stayed here a few times now and will continue to do so. Stayed the other night during all the rain, lit a fire and had a great warm cosy nights sleep. Thanks Aron for letting me put my bike under the shed.
- Angelo (9/5): Excellent weekend stay in the Granite Belt region - Great location, close to wineries.
- Joel (9/5): Superb -
- Ashwin (10/5): - Incredible, spacious cottage that was kept clean and tidy for our arrival. The host was incredibly helpful with our inquiries and check in.
- Terry (10/5): - The property was easy accessible, clean, quiet and the owners were friendly
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kristen (10/5): - Lovely little cosy cottage!
The bottle of champagne on arrival was a thoughtful touch.
Our kitchen had everything from a slow cooker to mozzie coils.
We had a portable AC & a fan in our cottage for the hotter months - which was perfect in December!
Carol was very welcoming & helpful with local knowledge :)
- Chrissy (10/5): Very pleasant - An idyllic place to stay in a lovely area
- tamara (10/5): - Fantastic stay. Thank you
- shane (10/5): - Stayed a few times now. My wife and I love it. And we will continue to stay. The wild life is amazing. Had some possums drop in last night, I was chatting to them but they aren’t really much for conversation. Just interested to see if we had anything we could feed them. The peacefulness is so relaxing. I awoke to the sound of magpie's, for me it’s like a mini recharge. Love it.
- Emma (10/5): - The photos didn’t do this place justice! The decor is warm and inviting, and the Cypress cottage faces a dam with birdlife, which created a tranquil setting. The owners were so friendly and we loved seeing the animals on site too.
- Peter (10/5): - It was well located for peace and quiet .well maintained property ,very neat and tidy ,they have thought of everything you would need to have ,even kindling matches fire lighters.,we would comevback to stay again .
- David (10/5): - Great, comfortable, quiet cottage hidden away in the trees. Just what we were looking for
- Chris (8/5): - This was a beautiful cottage and the attention to detail was amazing. The only thing that held it back was the quality of sleep due to the lack of comfort of the mattress. It was like a board and ruined what would have been a perfect stay.
- Kyle (10/5): - Fantastic location close to Girraween National Park. Immaculately clean cottage with beautiful bushland and manicured gardens. Kids loved swimming in the dam and sitting by the fire in the evening. Kangaroos wander through in the evenings and are great to watch from the verandah.
- Andy (8/5): - peace and quiet and relaxing
- Bill (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brian (8/5): Very good - Location, cute cottage Nothing
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Teagan (10/5): I have stayed here at least 4 times and have always enjoyed my stays - I love the local, the place is immaculately kept and there is absolutely nothing better than the fireplace in the main room N/A
- Alison (8/5): Very good - Very comfortable and clean. Good distance between rhe cottages. Getting the wood burning stove to unitialling start
- Tina (9/5): Love the rustic cabin with a nice Bushland view - Love the Bushland setting in a rustic cabin
- shane (10/5): - Each cabin is very private and in has surrounding trees. Wood heater inside with wood supplied. We lit our heater last night. Was very pleasant and warm. They are a fully self contained kitchen, bathroom has a great shower. Our bed was comfy and lotsa blankets for this time of year. It’s so peaceful of a night. Love it. Will be back again.
- Reece (10/5): - We loved our stay, this is an amazing property and the cottages are very nice.
- Cheryl (9/5): Enjoyed the -3 * frosty am. Acres of icy grass and on the jetty too. - We didn't have any breakfast. Initially couldn't find the matches. Felt bad about disturbing the boss to find them. 2 novice fire starters was an adventure in itself..loved
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fran (9/5): I had a lovely, peaceful and relaxing visit, thank you to the Cox family, I’ll be back - The location of the Studio Cottage is so lovely facing the farm dam. I don’t have any negative comments
- Paige (10/5): - Gorgeous cabin retreat, perfect for a weekend getaway. The owners are a lovely family and only too happy to assist with anything you need. Great spot in between Stanthorpe and Ten, and close to many wineries.
- Morrison (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gelena (8/5): Very good -
- Phillip (10/5): Great Plavce and warm friendly hosts - We arrived and were greeted with the usual friendliness that we have always enjoyed. The room was immaculate and the facilities were above our expectations.
- Sally (9/5): Superb -
- Maddi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kathryn (4/5): - The property needs some maintenance.
Check in procedures and communication from the owners is lacking. Also, if a fault is reported, they investigate but then don't do anything to remedy the fault.
A beautiful place but some of these small things were frustrating and I left early. Which is unfortunate
- Julie (10/5): Very pleasurable. It was our second visit, and we will be back again next year. - Great location, cute cottage, private from other cottages, lovely bushland setting, fireplace. Our old dog was welcome. Bottle of wine was a pleasant surprise. The wood for the fireplace was too chunky and thus difficult to get alight. We would have liked an axe to split some of it.
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional - The location suited us, relaxed sitting out on the verandah watching birds, kangaroos overlooking the dam. Nothing really, we loved it
- Jennifer (10/5): A welcoming cottage with everything you need for a cosy night by the fire! - It was so comfortable and every attention to detail was given… Georgous country cottage!! Nothing.
- Emerita (8/5): Very good -
- robert (10/5): Great weekend wscape - A great stay away from the busy city. Comfortable accommodation in with a farm feel
- Karen (8/5): Perfect 👌 - Location to the wineries and national park are great and the cottage was comfortable
- Melissa (10/5): Cabin with a View - All the cabins are spaced out very privately- I had a great view of the property dam where you can do some kayaking. Cabin was well supplied with everything you need including a BBQ and all supplies you need for the fireplace. Wish I could have stayed longer.
- Chaashya (9/5): Superb -
- Craig (9/5): Relaxing, romantic, recharging stay. Highly recommended. - We loved this place. The cottage, its location, the privacy all were excellent. There wasn't any internet available and the mobile service was very poor, but hey we survived off grid for a while.
- Brian (7/5): Quite centrally located for our stay away from the city life. - Location suited our requirements. Cabins are well spaced and private in a rural setting grounds were tidy and maintained Cooling coud be improved by adding a ceiling fan. The air-conditioner was rather noisy. Few maintence issues that require attention like screens/screen door. Pest management for ants.
- shane (10/5): - Lovely cabins fully self contained. Quiet and secluded.
- Christine (8/5): Very good -
- Ken & Denise (10/5): - It is our favourite place to when we visit the Granite Belt
- Fuller (8/5): Very good -
- Beck (10/5): Country escape - Cottage was gorgeous, very comfortable and had all you needed to make stay perfect. Loved seeing kangaroos feeding in the afternoon.
- Sybil (8/5): Delightful to return to Cypress Ridge after many years. Love the peaceful bush location. - The fridge in my cabin was very noisy. It kept me awake sometimes.
- Errol (10/5): Comfortable for a couple staying a few days. Well appointed for self catering and has a BBQ. We were in ‘Cassia’ set amo - Small number of cabins on a large property. Easy drive to Guraween. Located among trees and boulders of the granite region. Nothing
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wok (7/5): Everything you need for a brief stay in the Granite Belt - Tranquil setting, canoe on the lake, soft towels, great toiletries (even shower caps), milk and ice in the fridge, equipped kitchen and electric blanket.
Let me save others some time. The matches to light the fire are at the bottom of the tinder wood basket... under all the wood!
If the sound of the fridge in the smaller Cypress studio lodge annoys you, switch it off. Only way to hear the room is to accept wood smoke through your clothes. No mood lighting option - only bright lights. The fridge was annoying but could be easily switched off.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lynette (10/5): - Our cottage felt like home with all the nice touch’s that make you welcome.
- Kathryn (10/5): Great location to escape the city and apreciate the bush setting in a private well equipped cottage - Location was very convenient to Girraween National Park. Kitchenette was very well equipped with full fridge and many useful utensils and pans for cooking breakfast on the stovetop or using the electric frypan. The precut wood for the fireplace was greatly valued as it was very cold when we were there in July. Each cottage is well separated from each other giving a peaceful sense of privacy and allowing the bush setting to be fully appreciated. After the fire died down it was very cold inside the cottage, but luckily we took another reviewer's advice and brought along another thick doona to put on top of the bed. I cant fault anything to do with the upkeep of the cottage or its location. Its been one of my favourite weekend stays.
- Jacqueline (10/5): Absolutely fabulous - Such a quaint and peaceful cottage with a fabulous log burner to keep us toasty warm Nothing really ….. just silly little minor things! Dusty light/ceiling warmer and some marks on the bathroom wall above the mirror
- Greg (9/5): Superb -
- Alex (6/5): Pleasant - Setting Heating
No WiFi & poor Telstra coverage
- Teresa (9/5): Fabulous property for hiking, touring the wineries or just soaking up the peace of the region! - It is a lovely and peaceful location off the road with plenty of wildlife on the property to see. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and the owner was very friendly and welcoming. There was nothing to dislike with this property! The only extra thing I can think of that could be a small welcome addition would be a bar heater for those cold winter mornings when you don't wish to light the fire before going out for the day.
- Alan (10/5): - The cabin was warm, cosy and well maintained. A great place to stay.
- Nedim (10/5): - Just a perfect getaway place for Granite Belt.
- Mark (8/5): Very nice place. Carole, the owner, was lovely to deal with. A great get away. - The location is very quiet and peaceful. The fireplace on a cold night was good. Electric blankets were a great inclusion.
- David (5/5): Ok but will stay elsewhere next time - N/A Property looking tired
- Carolyn (9/5): We enjoyed our stay lighting a fire and seeing the sights. - The property was comfortable and had everything we needed.
- Chris (10/5): Fantastic refresher.............just needed to be longer - Location, studio, comfort and affordability N/A
- Lkayem (8/5): Very good - Fantastic stay as always. Peaceful, lovely surrounds. There was a critter in the roof but that is to be expected in such natural settings. Some people might find that bothersome though. I didn't have a problem with it.
- Tim (8/5): Very good -
- Nicole (9/5): Cypress Ridge Estate - This cottage was incredibly clean and very presentable. Included all necessary amenities required for cooking etc, fireplace, blankets for colder weather.
Great location to the local wineries. I found the bed a little hard to sleep on.
- Bernhard (10/5): - Lovely quiet location just a short way out of Ballandean. Great for a short getaway. We enjoyed our time there.
- Amanda (10/5): - Lovely property and well maintained. Highly recommended.
Only suggestion is for more side lights as I hate overhead lights!
- Brett (10/5): - Lovely well equipped cottage on a well maintained property. Great hosts. Comfy bed. Would definitely recommend and will be back.
- Melissa (10/5): - A beautiful 4 day getaway in a gorgeous little studio cabin with all needed. So, so clean. Our cabin had a front yard of granite boulders. All cabins looked very private. The property was back from road so did not see cars. And very well maintained. Take your music though as little to no phone reception. I would definitely stay there again. Very close to national Park. ...
