Alex (9/5): A Special Place For A Beautiful Vacation - We loved the location with amazing snorkeling right off the beach and equipment available for use. Our bungalow was lovely and very clean. Vos and Sea Cat were consistently good food options, but location was close to other food options as well. Staff throughout was very friendly and responsive. Loved seeing iguanas in the trees and agoutis on the ground, and the overall setting was beautiful. Did a wonderful snorkeling excursion through the hotel. Excellent week overall! We had trouble figuring out the exact details of the activities/excursions we could book through the hotel. One of the excursions we did was a little disappointing. Other guests definitely stake out lounge chairs and snorkeling equipment for the day, whether they are actually using them or not, and the hotel does not have any way to control that.

Dafne Solange (9/5): Muy bien el hotel. - El hotel esta muy bien puesto, moderno, aunque tiene distintas torres y tambien boungalows.... El desayuno muy completo, la ubicación es muy buena, en la mejor playa con mas movimiento y enfrente es un spot de snorkel. El boungalow tenia bebedero de agua! Eso fue genial! Tambien tenia un happy hour de 17 a 18hs con picadas simples y vinos de cortesia, que me pareció novedoso y bueno! Tiene un spa bello. Alquilamos coche y recorrimos la isla y es bastante pobre, creo este hotel es el mejor de lo que vimos en toda la isla. Me quede primero en el boungalow bien amplio, pero estaba lejos, tenes que ir caminando o en carrito de golf y no entraron a limpiar luego dela primera noche. Luego me cambie de habitacion 2 noches mas al edificio principal y ahi si pasaron a limpiar.

Awesome breakfast and staff The booking l made misled me into thinking breakfast was included for the whole party of four but apparently it was only for two people and the others had to pay 40$/person/day. If you scroll all the way down and read the finest of print you can find this information but at Booking.com initially it says “Breakfast included”which isn’t lying but also definitely not informing me about what’s going happen when l arrive and check in. Not cool!

Sarah (10/5): - We just returned from five nights at this amazing resort and have nothing but good things to say! The property itself was gorgeous. The winding paths through the tropical foliage, the beach at the end of the strip with outstanding snorkeling, the large pools and layered decks with lots of places to lounge, the beach bar .... We absolutely loved it! The staff was great and the food was delicious. Our room (a Bungalow) was large and comfortable (yet up a very steep hill, so make sure you check if you have any issues with mobility). The beach was walkable and had many other hotels and restaurants to visit, although the vendors were a bit much. The highlight of the trip was scuba diving with West End Divers! We experienced a number of amazing creatures! We lucked out with the weather (sunny and mid-80s every day and it only rained at night). And we were there in mid-September which is the beginning of Low Season which meant that we practically had the resort or ourselves. We also happened to be there over a time where no cruise ships came through. One staff member told us that it's crazy during High Season when the cruises come in...so choose your timing wisely based on the vibe you like! Overall it was a fantastic experience!

Megan Key (8/5): - Our stay was great, the pool and beach are excellent and service was too. We chose to stay in a room with a kitchen as we like to cook our own meals while traveling. However I think for the price of the room the kitchen especially needs better cleaning to be at the level hotel the Kimpton stands for. The paper towels are the cheapest as well which is a bit shocking for again the price of the room. It just needs a better deep clean and daily upkeep

Stefan (10/5): Absolutely fabulous. We will certainly be back! - We have travelled a lot around the world, and this is our favorite hotel of them all! We have been there twice now already. The hotel is evidently managed exceptionally because everything runs perfectly and all staff in all the areas treat the guests exceptionally, with professionalism and kindness. Best spot on the beach where you can see turtles and rays if you head out snorkelling, and the breakfast and dinner are wonderful. We love it! We will be back.
Kristina (9/5): Great gym, breakfast. Bad water pressure in the shower! - Brand-new property with very friendly staff, spacious rooms, and a great breakfast. The property is well maintained and located 25 mins from the airport. The fitness facilities are excellent, though the spa prices are absurd—over $500 for a couples massage. Do yourself a favor and get a massage on the beach for about $50 instead. The shower had poor water pressure and the pillows were very thin and flimsy. The $110 charge for a 25-minute airport shuttle ride is outrageous, especially since it wasn’t even a private car

Rene (2/5): - This hotel with the standard it gives should be in all inclusive hotel- when we were there there was renovation being done to cats restaurant and they opened up the bar as a restaurant but shut down very early. Food was limited. Be prepared to pay more for food than your stay. A lot of locals also go around the beach area which doesn’t seem private as we have wished and ruins the atmosphere around it.

The staff were very warm and welcoming. Lea and Dominic were very helpful and accommodated all of our needs quickly. Karla at the front desk surprised me with a birthday token that was very much appreciated and enjoyed :) 10/10 recommend and we will definitely return.

Citlalith (10/5): - We didn’t know what to expect coming here. We ate at every restaurant on the property, used the gym, took a couple of the tours, and rented paddle boards and snorkel gear. The staff here was very attentive and provided above and beyond service. The food was so delicious here, it was difficult to leave the property to eat elsewhere, even though we did a few times. Pro-tip: do not leave your rental gear unattended, it will get snagged by other guests. Apply sunblock very frequently, my bf rarely gets sunburned and he got burned. Special shout-out to Alejandro at the Vos Cafe, his service was exceptional and he remembered our morning coffee order every morning.

I highly recommend paying for breakfast in advance; it’s actually cheaper! The hotel accommodated my large family perfectly. The resort manager, Yule, was exceptional in ensuring that all my family reservations were taken care of. His expertise and patience in handling and resolving difficult situations make him an excellent leader. Jasper at the pool was kind and attentive to our drinks. I look forward to returning to this hotel in the future.
Alexandra (8/5): Miss the old small Grand Roatan - I have stayed at the Grand Roatan multiple times but not since they built the new building. When I made the reservation I didn’t realize I was booking a bungalow far away from the beach. I thought I was booking a condo, I didn’t know even bungalows were part of the hotel. The room was nice but the outside of them is not that well kept, painting peeling, ropes unattached, etc. Prices had gone up to the roof but the hotel lost its charm. The beach is eroding and shrinking and with all the new added rooms it feels crowded. The new building is pretty and luxurious. I miss the old restaurant between the pool and the beach. Spa was great.

Sindel (8/5): - This is a very very nice resort. Very relaxing and absolutely beautiful! It is pretty expensive though, so just keep that in mind. Def get the breakfast included, it’s great. Food is great too!
Ingrid Theresa (10/5): - This property is as amazing in person as it is online and in print. The staff, even more so. Every staff member that we encountered made us feel special. The guest rooms are spacious, beautiful, and comfortable. The amenities are exceptional. The only thing that was not perfect is the way non-resort guests enter the property from the beach, use beach towels, the pools, and the bathroom facilities. The actual resort guests pay USD $65 PER NIGHT for the amenities. It ticked us (and some of our fellow resort guests around us) to see people taking advantage. We noticed one time the security guard asking a couple to leave the pool with the waterfall because they had no wristbands (resort or day pass). Again, everything else was wonderful. We will return!
