- TrishA4 (8/5): Passing Through… - Passing through from a trip and stopped for the night. Room was comfortable. Internet/wifi wasn’t very good. Plenty of parking and a Cracker Barrel almost next door. The breakfast was adequate, but could have been better. There was no waffle spray out and my waffle stuck and had to be torn out. The gravy was like water. The seating was all extremely worn. Don’t know that we’d stop here again.

- chrisjones8383 (2/5): Bad customer service and does not return phone calls - We are a small school needing to stay for a tournament but the rain canceled our games so we couldn’t travel. Been calling the hotel for over a week bc they charged us a fee and no one will call back. We play there every year but we will not stay at this property again. There is a new Marriott property down the street and they will get our business from now on. All it would have taken is a simple phone call from the manager, who must not care about customer service.

- Allen_M_54 (6/5): Extremely overpriced for what the offered! - This Hampton Inn is extremely overpriced for what they offer! This is a very basic minimal old Hampton! They did not welcome my wife and I as Diamond members. They did not send us text when we got to our room asking if everything was OK, and if there was anything we needed. They only have TWO ONE HALF luggage carts, which have no hooks to hang bags and sacks on! The pool is outside! The furniture is old and dated. They have a very small breakfast area. Their breakfast was the most minimal offerings they could put out. The raison bread was stale. Most of the time there was no- one at the desk. In addition to being $40 higher than the Hampton inn 35 miles to the North and the Hampton in to the South on I-24. they have an 18% TAX! When my wife and I pass through this area again in the future, we will NOT be staying at this Hampton Inn.

- glennhE5412HU (2/5): Terrible Customer Service - I have been a Hilton Honors member for 20+ years and a Diamond member for the last eight. So needless to say, I am loyal to Hilton. But after my experience at the Manchester, TN Hampton, that may have to change. For this trip, my daughter had a travel credit with Delta Stays, so we used that to book a night at the Manchester Hampton. After a long day of travelling, we arrived very late in the evening to check in and were told by the desk manager that there was a problem with Delta Stays, so we would need to call them and cancel our stay (which was prepaid) and book directly with him (at a high price). No other offer to assist or at least let us get checked in while they worked it out with Delta Stays. Basically made it clear that it was not his problem. So we did call Delta Stays and they said everything looked good on their end including a successful authorization from the hotel. They offered to call the hotel to work it out, but apparently the desk manager didn't feel like picking up, so the call kept going to voicemail. Luckily for us, Delta Stays quickly called around and found us another hotel close by and moved our reservation over there, including paying the difference in price. So a big thumbs up to Delta stays for being so awesome. And also an even bigger thumbs up to Alex at the LX Hotel where we ended up staying for being so wonderful. For the owner of the Hampton, this desk manager really should not be the face of your hotel. For Hilton, I thought Diamond membership meant something, but apparently not. It may be time to rethink my loyalty to you.

- Annette (10/5): Hotel was great Hotels.com dropped the ball - Ron at the front desk was a rock star as I tried to check in and Hotels.com didn't notify Hampton Inn that I had a reservation. I had the paid receipt and itinerary number and still could not find the reservaiton. After 90 miniutes calling Hampton's number we found a phone number for Hotels.com and that customer service gentleman (I didn't catch his name) gave the hotel yet a different number to prove that I had a reservation and I was finally in the room 90 minutes after walking in the door. This was the first time ever I had an issue with making a reservation and it was after 21 hours of traveling.

The only downfall is in the hallway there is no A/C in the hallway and there is a lot of moisture - feels sweaty and that heat from the hallway comes into the room and takes a while to cool it down.

The breakfast area was very clean, well organized and several good options to pick from. Elevators were quiet and fast. Great location for us. Several restaurants within walking distance. Front desk employee, Kaylene, was so kind and helpful. We enjoyed our stay!

- ANN (10/5): Great stay at Hampton Inn and Suites - I had a great 2 night stay at Hampton Inn and Suites in Manchester, TN. The breakfast buffet was good and the staff are nice and helpful. Rooms with eastern facing windows will have a lot of sunshine at the break of dawn. My room did not have blackout curtains.

- W7457XKchris (2/5): Just keep driving - Worst Hampton Inn I’ve stayed in - and most overpriced. Despite the hotel’s description on TripAdvisor as “brand new” - it is NOT new. It suffers from deferred maintenance and worn, tired decor. While the front desk staff was pleasant, it took at least 15 minutes to get checked in - either she was new or the computer was. When we got to our room, the toilet was running - instead of just giving us another room, we waited over half an hour for someone to fix it so we could use it. The shower basin was disgusting - cracks and scuffs had literally been covered over with what looked like white paint. At breakfast, the timer on the waffle maker was broken. More deferred maintenance-or unwillingness to invest in needed updates/equipment. If you’re thinking of stopping here for the night, do yourself a favor and keep driving - and this advice is coming from a loyal Hilton Honors member. This property gives Hampton Inns a bad name. If this isn’t enough to keep you from staying here, I’ll add that I had no AT&T cellular service and that your choice of restaurants is equally abysmal.

- Tweetyhmf (2/5): Disappointed - We had a stay booked here 3 weeks ago. We are diamond member with Hilton and the stay was booked on points. We had a very unexpected vehicle issue as we were traveling in and had to be towed to a local dealership and had to stay at another Hilton property in that town. We called the hotel as soon as happened and was told by the front desk there was nothing she could do but put us in the manager's voice-mail. Instead of using our points the hotel charged our credit card as a no show for $250. No one has called us back from the hotel. We have reached out to the customer multiple times as well with no response. Very disappointed that this is how any customer is treated but especially a diamond member.
- SoonerDj (2/5): If you're looking to stay here, I'd reconsider it! - We had a recent stay booked at the Hampton Inn in Manchester, TN. I'm a diamond member, and had booked the room on points. We had unexpected vehicle issues on our way to the hotel, and had to be towed to the nearest town, and were not able to make it to Manchester that night, and had to stay in a different town. I left a message for the manager when I knew that we weren't going to make it, and as of nearly 2 weeks later, I have still not received a call back. Not only that, but they billed my credit card for over $250.00 for the room that I had booked for free on points, and are refusing to offer any sort of refund. Great way to treat one of their "Diamond" members. I've contacted Hilton customer service twice now, and have also reached out to the hotel directly to try to resolve it before leaving the review. Now three weeks later, still no contact from the hotel, and they've done nothing to remedy the situation, neither has Hilton customer service. I'd steer clear of this property.
- 470sonyar (8/5): Comfortable hotel for a weekend getaway - Along with other friends, we decided to head to Manchester/Tullahoma area for a weekend getaway. The hotel had ample parking and all of the staff I encountered was very friendly. Anne, our housekeeper, was extremely nice when we asked for our bed linens to be changed. She was friendly and very personable. I would stay at this property again.

- HeritageSoftail14843 (6/5): Poor customer service - Stayed here one night en route north to KY. We’ve previously stayed here and our prior experience was why we chose this location again. However, this visit was much less impressive. It started when we arrived in the early afternoon and dealt with Chrissy at the front desk. She was very abrasive and not at all helpful or what we would consider “customer service oriented”. She refused to even look to see if our room was ready before 3pm (even though we are diamond members) and told us we’d be lucky if it were ready by then. After going on our way and finding something to do for 2+ hours we returned and now Paige was working. She was MUCH more friendly and willing to help in anyway possible. The room was adequate, although not the most current or updated furnishings. Breakfast was very basic, with limited options but the standard fare one would expect. No happy hour or other perms here and as diamond members all we were offered were 2 bottles of water and no snacks. Also the front desk still seems Covid crazy as they have a desk separating you from the front counter. It’s probably time to do away with that as it is off-putting (as if he attitudes of some staff weren’t bad enough). Next time we make this trip we p,an to try a different hotel.

- USA66 (4/5): Do not use the phone in the room. Where are my points? - I just spent 5 nights at the North Port Florida Hampton Inn and was on my way back home to Chicago. What can go wrong? I booked my North Port room weeks ago. At Manchester I just walked in. I had my 18 year old cat with me and was told about the pet fee. Hampton Inn has high pet fees in my view. Anyways long story short it cost $349.86 for 1 night. I did have to use the room phone to call Florida because the cell service was iffy that night for some reason. No receipt and no points added to my Hilton Honors account. The room and breakfast were fine. I just have a bad taste in my mouth about this location. Will not stay here again on my future return trips to the area.

I rarely give a 1 star review but in this case Hampton Manchester has earned it for not resolving my problem in a timely manner. As of 4-25-23 the double billing has NOT been fixed :(

Breakfast was good, but not spectacular by any stretch. Sink drain running very slow. Found out when I checked out they already knew. Had to figure out whether to control hvac with wall thermostat or on the unit itself. Decor in dining room very worn. Whole place needs a refresh. Oatmeal at breakfast was watery and barely warm.

- HeritageSoftail14843 (8/5): Average hotel off the highway - Stayed here one night en route North. Typical roadside hotel and standard Hampton amenities and decor. Room was fine, although the heater seemed to work to excess (either always on or never on). Breakfast was a bit sparse - only about half of the food was provided compared to what you typically see at Hampton Inn but it was sufficient for a quick grab-and-go. Overall a suitable place for a night, but not sure how it would be for several nights in a row.

- 286teria (2/5): Rude front desk staff - This is in response to witnessing what happened to another person. A lady who was looking for a room seemed to be denied because a payment did not go through the website. She was clearly exhausted and the girl at the desk said she could not help before her manager returned in 3-4 hours. She said the manager was tired and went home. Awhile later we found this lady crying in her car. She went back inside and the manager told her he would not let her stay because his front desk worker didn't want her there. This lady was shocked and still remained quiet and just left, as the manager laughed at her. This incident is by far the most disgusting thing I have ever witnessed while traveling. Our family will never return to this location or any other Hampton Inn if this type of person is acceptable as a manager or any staff member with your business.

- rdrod23 (2/5): Way over priced - Was traveling home on a long drive. I was extremely tired and pulled over to a Hampton Inn. I was charged $222 for one night. That is absolutely ludicrous. If I hadn’t been so tired I would have told the lady to F off and looked for a place with a reasonable rate. Hampton Inn has lost my business.

- 687520ljg (6/5): Warning - Pros: The hotel was nice and parking was accessible. Staff was very friendly. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. The eggs at breakfast were good, however options were very limited. Cons: There was mold growing on the shower. Prepandemic, bottled water was offered to Hilton members, not this time When we got ready to check out there was no coffee in the lobby. The biggest issue though is we paid $100 more per night than in 2020. The warning is that the average family cannot pay this. I realize that costs have risen dramatically and businesses have to cover their costs, but the trajectory this economy is on is NOT sustainable.
- 702debc (4/5): They don't care about you! Charged $125 without my knowledge - On a drive across country I came into Manchester TN at 130am. I walked into the hotel carrying my chihuahua, explained that I was exhausted and needed a room for 8 hours of sleep and clarified that my dog was okay to stay. The attendant said the dog was allowed as long as I declared his presence and she had one room left and charge is $255. That is a hefty price but we paid and went on our way. On my bank statement, I was charged $438 for this room. When I called the hotel I was told the pet fee was $125 IN ADDITION TO THE ALREADY HIGH $255. I explained that I was not told by the attendant that the fee was not included in the price she quoted. The Hampton Inn rep said "Well there's a sign on the table at check in that says in big letters that there is a fee." And I said but she did not TELL me that there was another fee over and above the price she quoted and if she had been honest and transparent we would have stayed somewhere else. He says, "Well I'm sorry. We always charge a pet fee." Two things were clear: 1) He was definitely not sorry, and 2) He never understood that I had been told what my room would cost WITH MY DOG and I was lead to believe that the $255 price included the pet fee. The rep who took my call all but hung up on me. Not only will I never stay at this Hampton Inn again. I will never stay at ANY Hampton Inn. As a company executive, integrity is the most important quality of any business partner. I do not want any of of 1900 employees having to spend their time begging for fair treatment from this hotel. The way I was treated when I called to inquire about the charges on my account lead me to believe that this hotel has a pattern of behavior: give the customer half shrouded information at reservation and check in, followed by dismissive crocodile tears and condescension when the customer asks for the rest of the story. This event ruined what otherwise could have been a nice stay.
