Guest Reviews
- Shlomo (8/5): - Nice atmosphere, upmarket without being ostentatious, very comfortable beds and beautiful grounds. Breakfast was pretty mediocre, a good choice of food but not well prepared. The scrambled eggs were cooked solid and a specially prepared omelet was dry. Grilled tomatoes and mushrooms were tasteless and we had to go looking for someone to bring us tea.
The room was tiny but comfortable but the window was jammed and once open it was a struggle to close it again.
- kenneth (10/5): - The staff were brilliant and friendly , the gardens were lovely, aat and had beer outside def will come back Nothing all good
- danny (8/5): Very good - Location Breakfast; some items ( croissants, yughurt ) were already missing @09h00 :-(
- anne sophie (7/5): - le personnel était très charmant et la vue sur le jardin était magnifique le fait d’être proche du couloir aérien et que l’hôtel nécessite un tout petit peu de raffraichissement
- Alan (10/5): -
- Rosina (10/5): -
- doubleyoubee (8/5): - Very charming place - quiet with a beautiful surrounding. Obviously a few (!) renovation works must be done.
The crew though highly motivated, works with an old substance. The owner should invest more. The breakfast buffet is absolutely below an acceptable level, in relation to the price they charge.

- Kathryn (8/5): Warren House Hotel Review - The location was perfect for us. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The bed was super comfy. I had put in a request and it was confirmed in a message however the hotel didn't follow it through which was a little frustrating. The fridge / cooler was not cool or cold. The conditioner in the bathroom was empty which should have been checked prior to our arrival. There were stains / marks on the cushions on the bed which probably should have been checked as well prior to our arrival.
Other than that it was a pleasant stay. Thank you
- Liza (8/5): Lovely little hotel with beautiful rooms,in a great setting and a great location. - Location and the whole setting. A really beautiful hotel. Nothing really other than the breakfasts were average.
- Grace (9/5): Brilliant! - Lovely cocktails and friendly staff! I wish there was a bath in the room :)
- Richard (10/5): -
- brett (7/5): Pleasant. Promises more than it delivers. - Location. No lift. Long way to top floor. Breakfast room has changed since last stay is functional rather than impressive.
- Kirsty (8/5): -
- Martin (9/5): A posh hotel with wonderful views - The view from our room, over Wimbledon Common with the City skyline in the distance, was amazing. The staff were very pleasant but seemed oddly unsure of themselves. Perhaps there were a lot of new starters?
- sarah (10/5): Can't wait to return. - Breakfast was perfect - and the staff serving could not have been kinder or more helpful. Our room was the apartment 47 and very comfortable with all we needed. Our only complaint - the weather!!! We had a nice table outside that we would have loved to have enjoyed but it was too chilly. We had dinner once and thoroughly enjoyed the food and wine - and on our last evening we enjoyed Limoncello Spritzes in the bar - kindly prepared by the lovely barman although Limoncello wasn't officially on the menu. They were exactly like the ones we'd enjoyed on Capri and the best I'd had outside of Italy. Warren House is a place I knew since childhood as I used to live opposite between the 60s and 80s - often going to the annual open day - and staying there now its a hotel was something very special for me. Not a big deal but it would have been less of a battle to have the duvet easier to pull up to your neck. It was so rooted beneath the mattress that when I wanted to pull it to my chin it was a real fight. But otherwise we were really happy with everything. We especially loved the Jo Loves soaps etc... in the bathroom. That is one of the nicest smells.
- Sally-Jo (7/5): -
- Robinson (10/5): great would stay again - Breakfast was great the staff could not have been better Nothing
- Steve (7/5): -
- Roy (9/5): Did waht I needed - Welcome at breakfast Stairs only, no lift
- Mahwish (8/5): Lovely stay here - Really beautiful hotel and good value for money. Lovely location.
- John (7/5): -
- Jamie (4/5): Really disappointing food, beds and follow-up customer service. - The staff were friendly and helpful - even though they couldn't solve our problems during our stay. Both beds in the room were incredibly uncomfortable - the sofa bed loudly creaked everyone someone moved and woke up the rest of us. The main bed felt like it had springs coming through the mattress and wasn’t pleasant to lie on at all. None of our party slept well.
Unfortunately the food at the hotel was not up to scratch either. At dinner we were given a pizza with a raw base, and at breakfast we had to send both portions of waffles back as they were raw inside and burnt on the outside. The English muffins served with our eggs Benedict were soggy and mushy, I’m guessing from having very wet poached eggs laid on top of them. Additionally, the majority of the food in the hot buffet was inedible - greasy, chewy hash browns and bacon swimming in a centimetre of oil.
To top it off, the swimming pool was cloudy and murky, which was quite off putting.
The staff were all super friendly and apologetic, however they weren’t able to solve the problems and suggested complaining through Booking.com to receive a partial refund... which the property have now apparently refused to co-operate with!
- Janice (7/5): We enjoyed our stay but Mum not being in the same building was a worry. - Location in a quiet spot and the gardens. No lift to first floor for disabled access. My mum who was with us and is 90 was located in a suitable room outside the building and found the opening of the front door to her room difficult using her walker.
- karuna (10/5): -
- Adam (10/5): -
- Cathy (10/5): Very friendly staff, warm and professional. Nothing is too much trouble. - Always home from home for my family when they visit. N/a
- Tina (9/5): Lovely overnight stay - Beautiful building, well appointed and good size rooms, friendly and helpful staff.
- Keith (10/5): -
- Seyed (10/5): Excellent Service and Staff - Amazing All good

- Sarah (10/5): -
- Guest (10/5): -
- Glaiza Gujelde (10/5): Go to Hotel for my birthday getaway - Staff as always are accommodating and hospitable. They decorated our master bed with lovely towel cake and petals in celebration for my birthday. I appreciated it a lot. The food menus become not so British anymore and our fave steak dish was not available.
- Andrew (7/5): Pleasant but room was not up to the level expected. - Welcoming and attentive staff. Garden area. Room didn’t have enough clothes storage. Shower leaked onto floor.
- Didier (9/5): -
- Sarah (8/5): A very comfortable stay in a lovely, peaceful location, a short drive from Richmond Park. - Lovely building in a very nice location. Delicious breakfast. Decor dated and there was no separate light switch near the tea/coffee making facilities- you had to turn on full overhead lights
- Charles (9/5): A comfortable, old style atmosphere with good facilities for parties and conferences. - The hotel is quiet and has a nice old fashioned ambience. The breakfast was good and the staff are attentive. Nice cosy bar. One or two minor details, e.g. sticky bathroom door and slightly dusty corners here and there.
- Chris (9/5): Perfect for our trip to Rosslyn Park 7s and Richmond Park - Nice spacious room with comfy bed and good sized bathroom. Nice bar and friendly staff. Pool was great although the changing rooms were a little tired but this didn't matter too much. Headed out for dinner and away early so didn't try the food but the bar drinks were nice and the staff attentive. Good place - would stay again if in the area. Pool changing room needs a little TLC
- Nic (10/5): -
- Katie (3/5): -
- Stephen (10/5): Amazing emphasis on Customer Service - Location and presentation Nothing
- Debs F (9/5): Lovely return visit - A return visit for us as a family. We find this hotel perfect to stay at when we go to the rugby at Twickenham. Although I am hoping to visit again for a longer stay in the future as it's such a nice hotel.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is a charming building and all three of our rooms were stylish and clean with comfortable beds.
The hotel is set in a quiet location with lovely grounds and an ample car park.
In the evening we enjoyed the bar and
their pizzas are super yummy! We shared three between us for supper.
The grandchildren loved being able to have a morning swim before a plentiful
breakfast and checking out. We really love this hotel overall.
My room had a lovely shower room but I struggled to get my towels when I needed them. They are neatly folded on a rack 6 foot high above the loo ...As I am only 4 feet 10, I couldn't reach them without having to precariously stand on the loo. As I am getting elderly I was a bit scared of falling in the process!! I know I could have called reception to send help but that just felt embarrassing ..... Other hotels often leave the clean bath towels on the bed for when guests arrive, so just a mild suggestion.
- Sarah (9/5): -
- Elise (10/5): excellent - warm welcome and attentive staff. Excellent evening meal and breakfast
- darren (10/5): -
- Aseel (8/5): - Cleanliness Small rooms
- Rachel (8/5): Comfortable - Nice modern room Shower did not drain properly however still manageable. Could hear people walking outside room squeaky floor boards
- Jo May (9/5): -
- Ashley (9/5): -
- Emma (9/5): -
- Jeremy (10/5): -
- Mark (9/5): -
- Awaz (2/5): Disappointed - The property need a good renovation, cleaning and care! It has potential but the management is not running it well!
The garden is nothing like the pictures, bathroom needs deep cleaning started to show sign of mold
I asked for an extra luggage stand and they said they don’t have one!
One day while sitting at reception, one of the male front desk employees was bad mouthing another one ( she was the only helpful professional person in the whole hotel)
The restaurant is using frozen pizzas And the guy behind the bar was coughing nonstop without covering his mouth!
- thomas (8/5): Peaceful, friendly hotel - Nice quiet location with a nice large garden. Spacious family room. Clean. Friendly staff. Good breakfast A little dated in places. Cant comment on gym and pool as didn’t use. Pillows useless. Bring your own
- Steve (9/5): Excellent stay highly recommended will certainly stay again when we are back in that area of London. - Good location, plenty of parking. Staff very friendly and helpful. very good breakfast. Room was very clean and tidy bed comfortable. You can see that a lot of money has been spent upgrading the hotel some of this work is still ongoing but had no negative impact to our stay. Lovely hotel. Would have been useful to have some guest information in our room not sure if this was an oversight or standard practise.
Also on our we found we had no milk for our hot drinks on our 1st night this must have been an oversight because on the next day without us asking milk was available.
- Frank (8/5): - Staff demonstrated good customer vibe. Main menu in restaurant predominantly Indian cuisine. Should be more options.
- Abdullah (10/5): -
- clare (7/5): -
- Agyapong (9/5): - Lovely hotel and nice staff. Will surely go there again As above
- Kate (5/5): -
- Bieke (9/5): -
- Charmaine (8/5): - Hotel bar and gardens. The staff were all very efficient and lovely. Neighbours were very noisy.
The muffins and croissants at breakfast were very stale and inedible.
- David (9/5): - Great location and friendly staff No lift and a warren of corridors and stairs, no mirror on dressing table
- Steve (7/5): -
- Georgios (10/5): The environment the quietness and the service made me feel wonderful! - The breakfast and location were very good! I expected more choices for the lunch and dinner menu.
- Victoria Knight (10/5): - Really friendly staff upon arrival.
Plenty of parking.
The room was clean, in a quiet location and the bathroom recently refurbished.
Lovely bar and facilities.
Good value for money.
Will return. Pillows - but I am fussy
- Gaynor (5/5): Good value for a London hotel if you are just looking for bed and breakfast - The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Although the building is in need of some upgrade it has/ quaint charm about it. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was good The evening meal was very disappointing and extremely overpriced I would not recommend eating here. Having said that the breakfast was excellent
- Claire (8/5): We had a great stay at the hotel. It’s in a great position to access many interesting places, and having access to Richm - It had a lovely, comfortable feel to it. The staff were very attentive and the chicken tikka on the all day menu excellent! Some of the areas looked as though they could do with a bit of tlc. The changing room by the gym and swimming pool was in particular need of an upgrade
- Emma (6/5): -
- Laura (10/5): Beautiful Manor highly worth a visit. - This hotel felt a cross between a cosy English pub and the grand manors of Bridgerton! We stayed in the most basic of rooms which was totally fine and the bed was the most comfortable I’ve ever had in a hotel. The swimming pool was heated like a hot tub. Super close to the Rugby 7s we were watching. This is more faded English grandeur than 5* resort but impeccably clean and the service and breakfast was exceptional.
- Christian (8/5): -
- Paul (10/5): Great value for money hotel just outside London - Clean room, polite staff, confortabel bed, great location
- h (8/5): - Friendly staff, good food, good location
- Becky (3/5): Could be absolutely beautiful just needs a lot of money spent on it. - Beautiful old building and setting Wires hanging out of tv and dangling down, bathroom shower flooded the floor. Food very average I had Caesar salad and the anchovies smelt off.. chipped paint everywhere
- lawson (4/5): I thought the staff were polite and helpful. I do believe management should go into each room and see for themselves. Th - The property itself is a beautiful piece of architecture internally and externally I was in room 12 and there was a constant noise all through the evening. Aircon units outside my bedroom window and I also believe it could’ve been circulation of heating or water because it was a constant humming quite annoying humming.
The other issue with room 12, as you can hear the room above walking around I understand it’s an old building and floorboards are really creaky but the noise is quite loud when you’re below it.
- David (10/5): -
- Ravenhill (5/5): Pleasant - The location
The exterior of the building is beautiful, this does not match the interior. Needs improvement, needs decorating
Rooms could be updated
Bathroom supplies were near empty, definitely wasn’t checked with room keeping when getting our room ready.
- Ian (1/5): Awful ... - Location was good. What did i like! Initial room was awful. Curtains didnt close, safe didnt work, dirty and tired. Couldnt walk around the bed. Very small. Was told by the person who was sent to fix the safe that he would change it. Then found out later that he had simply gone home! Was told that no rooms were available to swop then after an hr of slowly raising my voice I was told that majically another room was available. This was better but not great. Wall paper hanging off the walls, safe still not working (it was fixed later that evening when we were out) and stains on the floor of the bathroom. The hotel itself is in need of a complete referb. Its tired, old and scuffy. We had paid for breakfast but given the cleansness of the rooms and the hotel in general decided against it.
- Jennifer (7/5): -
- Basheer (6/5): - We were given a family room, staff was helpful and great. Building is worn out and under some renovations, rooms can be small
- Kevin (5/5): The manager was very helpful the barman was so lovely nouthing was to much trouble for him we will - Staff lovely facilities good room lovely enjoyed our stay We had to change our room at 12 pm because of a air conditioning unit noise outside so that did spoil my wife’s birthday
- Paul (9/5): -
- Gill (4/5): Lovely looking hotel but very dated. Needs modernising - Excellent grounds
Swimming pool was warm but very small Dated bedroom.
Wardrobes were not fixed to the wall so not safe
No instructions on how to adjust the heating in the room (our bedroom had been set to cold and merely adjusting the thermostat didn't work)
Breakfast - minimal choices, although everything was fresh.
We had a bad experience with a loud noise like a broken motor fan on our room. Eventually this was fixed but at 10.45p.m.
- Nunn (7/5): A pleasant stay that could be improved - This hotel is in a great location in very attractive surroundings Areas of the Hotel need painting and refurbishing and some equipment in the rooms didn’t work such as the safe and the coffee machine
- simon (7/5): -
- Cristiano (9/5): -
- Simmons (10/5): The rooms were really nice and the staff were extremely helpful and attentive to our needs -
- RR24 (10/5): -
- Kait (7/5): - Comfy bed, friendly staff, good food. Rooms and building is tired
- Gemma (9/5): Great location. Hotel and room were comfortable and clean. Staff were exemplary and breakfast was good. - Lovely old building steeped in history. Clean and comfortable room. Some areas need attention, maintenance. The swimming pool area and changing rooms need updating.
- Gordon (10/5): -
- Aimee (10/5): It was a perfect stay from start to finish - The decor. The design of the rooms It was all beautiful
- Lynne (6/5): Overpriced hotel in need of decoration. - The restaurant staff were very helpful. Receptionist wasn't welcoming on arrival. The room was tired and had peeling wallpaper. The room wasn't that clean. The bed wasn't made properly in arrival and it wasn't very clean. The bed was uncomfortable. The room rate for what we had was overpriced and so were the meals in the restaurant.
- Capewell (9/5): Excellent stay. - Dinner Hotel website could do with a refresh, there's not a great deal of information or photos included to do the venue justice.
- Victoria (7/5): Lovely countryside hotel close to London - Staff very hekpful. Room well appointed and clean. Beautiful grounds. Breakfadt was lovely. Dinner menu was curry, pizza and pasta. Would have liked more chouce.
There was a party on the sarurday night ans you could here the bass in the bedroom. Didnt finish until 12pm. Not ideal when youve come for a countryside retreat.
- Ian (8/5): Relaxed and well looked after. - Good public rooms and handy on foot for Kingston dialysis unit. Too many surveys.
- Lisa (9/5): -
- Rene (8/5): -
- Thierry (9/5): Excellent hotel for a break away outside Richmond - Very nice hotel with character, very nice grounds, swimming pool and comfortable room. Very good service. Breakfast was a bit too light
