Guest Reviews
- Phoebe (9/5): Quiet, elegant and nicely staffed - It was simply decorated but absolutely perfect in most every detail. The staff were lovely and efficient. I felt like it was my home not a hotel. The location was central but quiet and both rooms I stayed in were bright but had blackout shutters. I can’t think of anything
- H5261KGmonicas (10/5): Tranquil and beautiful boutique hotel. - We enjoyed a relaxing experience in this very well-designed boutique hotel in the heart of the historic district of San Miguel de Allende. No TV in the room of this beautiful house makes for an additional authentic experience of an era gone by. We recommend a stay in this beautiful and tranquil 5-room home/hotel.
- grasshopper_mo (10/5): Comfortable, convenient stay in colonial San Miguel de Allende - The location is close enough to the centro for quick walking access to restaurants and shops but sufficiently distant to avoid excess noise - although fireworks are always LOUD! The staff is warm and helpful. It feels like being in a private colonial home.
- Thomas (10/5): - Nos encantó que el lugar fuera PET friendly y la atención de Melina fue genial.
- Luciano (10/5): - Good service, parking is a few blocks down but in a safe closed area
- Arnold (7/5): Good location - Location. Afternoon staff is friendly, not so much the morning or evening shifts. Hot water runs out, parking lot is a good 20 min walk.
- Lupitablanca (10/5): quiet and lovely boutique hotel in great location - Location, location, location. A charming boutique hotel just two blocks from the center of town. Quiet atmosphere, great rooftop to sip morning coffee, and comfortable accommodations. Manager Melina is lovely and her small cleaning staff were so friendly and efficient. A restful getaway from the hustle and bustle of downtown.
- Mark (4/5): - I stayed here for 5 nights. During my stay, there was a pop-up shop. 4 artists,15 days, all day, afternoon, and into the night, constant music. I wasn’t given any notice of this constant disturbance. Impossible to rest with music and conversation one foot from my door. Sometimes it was just music and artists talking; other times it was equivalent to noise of a small party RIGHT outside my door. The window inside door didn’t close which made the noise outside my door that much louder - impossible to block out.
I wasn’t made aware of the beautiful rooftop deck with stunning views. I discovered it on my third day. Would’ve been nice to know earlier that there was this beautiful space I could escape to to get away from the constant noise of the art show.
You can’t read in bed - horrible lighting.
Very sparse feel to my room: Not one decoration on any wall. No dresser to put my clothes into. No breakfast. not even coffee.
Bathroom: small vanity- not enough space to put anything on or even take things out of my bag (and I’m a guy. That would be really frustrating for most women.)
There was a bottle of water but had bottle cap and no bottle opener given.
Feels like they put the basic necessities into the room with no consideration given to the actual daily needs of a hotel guest.
I would not stay here again -especially given the price and the plethora of other hotel options in SMA.
- Richard (8/5): - Excellent location, has parking but far away
No coffee however staff is very helpful
Basically a very comfortable clean room
- Fernando (10/5): - Staff was friendly. Great location and bang for your buck.
- Ricardo (10/5): - Aside from the AC not being as great as it could've been everything was really nice.
- patriciacW673EY (8/5): Small charming hacienda - Lovely charming place, friendly staff, great location, some rooms are on the ground floor street side. Breakfast simple but lovely. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing. It has no bar or restaurant. Overall however a bit too pricy though for what it is!
- Diego (10/5): - We couldn't have chosen a better hotel for our girls getaway. We only stayed a night for my sister's birthday but the hotel was great. The style is different and fitting to San Miguel it had a perfect mix of new boho and a colonial look to fit the town. The beds were SO comfortable they felt like clouds. The staff was nice especially the house keepers they were both SUPER attentive. The actual hotel is small and quiet which was perfect after a long travel day we will definitely go back.
- SKYE (10/5): - I wish I could give more stars to this wonderful hotel.
Small and intimate and exceedingly comfortable! Best bed we’ve ever had while traveling, which was needed after the long days of exploring.
The staff were so attentive and friendly and gracious with my minimal Spanish.
Incredible stay in a gorgeous city!
- ssoto018 (10/5): Día de los Muertos San Miguel de Allende - Casa de Los Olivos has become my go-to accommodations for what will be many more trips to come. Its location ideal, accommodations comfortable, clean, and feature filled, roof top terrace-amazing, staff, warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. With special mention of, Melina L. She’s, an enormous part of the reason for this complimentary review of the establishment and certainly contributed to my extremely pleasant stay in San Miguel de Allende. Thank you Melina!
- Teresa Ann (10/5): - My husband and I spent a week here. Great location, excellent guest services, clean.
- jackyc2020 (10/5): Beautiful small boutique hotel, trendy & great service - Comfiest bed and pillow I have slept in a long time (and I travel to great places at least 3 times in a month). Room #3 (lowest category) was spacious, beautiful, air conditioner was perfect for the size of the bedroom. Love their turnover service.
The people working there were kind and very helpful.
Terrace is beautiful. Breakfast included an item of freshly baked pan dulce (starts at 8am) juice or fruit, coffee or tea. You can always add extra items.
- 766jeffryp (10/5): Great Botique Hotel! - Great boutique hotel, very quaint, very clean, and the service is top notch. You will feel at home in this Spanish influenced architecture… you will not be disappointed!
They provide turn down service every night, which will enhance your feeling at home
- tasker928 (10/5): Lovely hotel and great townhouse! - Casa de los Olivos is a great hotel in the perfect location. We stayed at their townhouse but spent time at the hotel as well for daily breakfasts. They have a lovely rooftop to enjoy breakfast and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The hotel is beautiful and while the townhouse isn't as upscale, it's a great place to stay since you have the place to yourself. A nice futon in the living room downstairs- one bedroom on the 2nd floor with a beautiful bathroom with shower then the rooftop has an amazing view with a nice table to have morning coffee. There's even a jacuzzi tub on the roof. A great place to stay just blocks from the action at the cathedral and Jardin!
- E3904FDjaniceh (10/5): Awesome spot in perfect location!! - This boutique hotel is only a block from the main square with the large, beautiful pink church. It is a three minute walk to the church and the surrounding areas have many cute shopping options, nice restaurants, and bakeries. There are taxis very easily to access if you want to drive farther away, and do not want to walk too much. I would recommend this hotel for any age, but especially for people who are older because the boutique is on the ground floor very easy to get in and out of and smooth cobblestones to walk to the main areas. The staff is wonderful and they will get you pretty much anything you ask - coffee, beer, ice etc. Even though our room was on the main street, the windows shut and also have wood doors that shut over the windows so it is quiet at night. The rooms have air conditioning which is a bonus because even though the temperature is comfortable sometimes you would like to have the room a little chillier when you sleep. The beds are very comfortable. The linens are very soft. Bathroom is equipped with shampoo, conditioner soap, lotion, nice towels, and robes.
This would be a cute place to rent out as a group. There are five rooms so you could have five couples.
We had a great experience ❤️
- nimak417 (10/5): Lovely stay - Great location. Comfy beds, and staff very accommodating. Good coffee in the morning. Plenty of bottled water and AC worked well. Great communication with Milena, who organised a driver. Overall a lovely time in San Miguel. Would come back and stay here again. Family options available.
- H5854QEkirstend (10/5): Comfortable stay, excellent service - Hotel is intimate and very very clean. The beds were the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever slept in. Hot water was actually hot. The rooms are clean and spare -- the colonial charm of the old building is maintained. Terrace is charming and very nice place to enjoy the included continental breakfast. Location is ideal, a short walk from the central plaza. Service is outstanding. Someone was available at all hours and kindly assisted us with any requests. We had a hot air balloon flight scheduled for the morning of my husband's birthday. Unfortunately, we got traveller's illness that night and were absolutely unable to make the 5:30 a.m. start time. At 4:30 a.m. Victhor helped me call the balloon company and try to get the date changed. We were unsuccessful at first -- they have a strict 48 hr cancellation policy, but he kept calling throughout the day and eventually managed to reschedule our flight with a monetary penalty. He also helped us secure a driver to Guanajuato for the next leg of our journey.
- Natalie (10/5): - Magical! We absolutely loved or stat lly at Casa Olivos. Victor at the front desk was so warm and welcoming and helped make our stay feel like we were at home.
Another big plus is the location which is a small 5 min walk to the main square/Cathedral area.
Also the Beds are an Absolute dream. Felt like i slept on a cloud. The attention to detail from the staff to the comfort of the beds and the spacious rooms. What a gem ! Cant wait to be back !
- Escape801711 (10/5): WOW! - Breakfast of fresh fruit, pastry, and espresso on the rooftop was a great way to start the day. Junior suite was so very spacious and bed oh SO comfy. BUT, The Very Best of Casa de Los Olivos is Staff. Hotel is so very clean! As we were organizing our trip, I had many conversations from California with Melina and Victor; they were both so patient and helpful; even arranged transport from airport. Then, upon arrival, SO friendly and with good sense of humor.
- S568BVlaurad (10/5): Relaxing getaway - Very relaxing, quiet, clean getaway. Amazing location. Staff was very accommodating. Lovely terrace. No bar or restaurant on site but they have a simple breakfast each morning and they arrange for quick delivery of other food and drink from their nearby bar and restaurant as needed. Lovely shortbread cookie left at end of day. The staff helped arrange a great driver to shuttle us from the airport and to another destination. Beds were very comfortable.
- Adam (10/5): Great hotel - Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean and spacious. Excellent place to stay and was in close proximity to town center.
- Cristina (8/5): Very good - small meal options
- Nimz88 (10/5): Location Is Unbeatable - The hotel is located just 1 block from the main square. It made it soooo easy to walk and shop and explore San Miguel. The rooftop was very nice to have for morning coffee as well all for a good price.
We can see ourselves staying here again when we come back
- Mitchell (8/5): - Really nice place. Clean, nice staff. My only complaint is the Wi-Fi was very spotty and the TV is useless. Besides that it’s a really great hotel option in San Miguel
- kirstiem112 (10/5): So beautiful! - As soon as we walked into the courtyard of this beautiful boutique hotel I was in awe. Victor could not do enough to make our stay comfortable. He was so helpful and friendly and nothing was a problem. The hotel has the most comfortable bed, (amazing pillows!), so quiet, so clean and the rooftop terrace where we had breakfast (which was incredible: fresh and delicious) was breathtaking. The hot water was a treat (rare in Mexico) and the Wi-Fi was fine (again rare in Mexico). It was one of the most exquisite hotels we have ever stayed in.
- HCRBaxter (10/5): Exceptional and just perfect - We arrived in San Miguel after a 6hr arduous drive from Mexico City which included us being pulled over by bogus police on road bikes, vests, badges, and guns that showed a fake photo f running an amber traffic light and demanding license and vehicle number plate asking for their I.D. They could not produce they got heavier and threatening physical arrest at that time offering us to pay $6000 pesos extorting cash. I negotiated $4000 we took photos for insurance and reporting on taking off to San Miguel.
On arrival and the very courteous and professional reception from Victor was well needed.
Victor was just excellent and understood our ordeal and late arrival. We checked in and parked our vehicle a few blocks away in a parking free zone he explained San Miguel has nigh security and much safer. Victor made my Girlfriend in particular feel welcomed and relaxed. We went for a walk to a very cool bar restaurant called GT restaurant only 50m away for a couple of Cervaza, some fresh food. Back to our beautiful room for a hot shower and to melt into the Devine bed with clean sheets, high standard linen and pillows for a well earned chilled out sleep into the perfect mornings breakfast on the rooftop terrace before our day ahead.
- harshulj2015 (10/5): Great place; Great service and amazing views. - It is truly an Amazing place. The service was phenomenal. Great views from the terrace and we had breakfast in the terrace all the days which was absolutely amazing. The hotel is extremely centrally located with in a walking distance from main square. Church and all the restaurants.
- alancW7975HC (10/5): Wonderful experience in San Miguel - Los Olivos is a beautiful boutique hotel with only five rooms. The rooms a very well decorated with great attention to detail and comfort. The hotel is close to everything--only two blocks from the main square, restaurants, bars, shops. There is a relaxing courtyard and a roof-top deck with a gorgeous view. The staff is wonderful, helpful, and eager to make guests feel at home and comfortable. Great suggestions from the staff. They will bring food and drinks from the hotel's partner restaurant (Cumpanio) which is just a block away. A lovely continental breakfast is included. A special thank you to staff members Victor and Melana who could not have been more helpful. You will feel like you are staying with family. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
- kchownow (10/5): Beautiful hotel en el centro de San Miguel - My wife & I stayed here for the past few days and it’s been the best decision. The location is central to the town square, the rooms are spacious, rustic, and clean, and the service is excellent. Victor & Melina made us feel welcome and we’re so accommodating. Next time we visit we’ll be coming back.
- juliorza (10/5): Service, location, comfort in an old colonial building - A small hotel right in the center of town with a handful of rooms that feels very intimate. Staff that is attentive and helpful; for example, resolving concerns on data privacy quickly and with minimum fuss. Free valet parking if you’re willing to wait. Rooms are good sized, clean and private. Terrace and food are great, in a location where high standards have been set for these two. Will definitely return.
- Karin Crump (10/5): - We loved Casa de los Olivos. The staff was so kind and helpful, the terrace had a phenomenal view, and the location was convenient to everything. Continental breakfast of fresh coffee, fruit, and pastries was included and served up on the terrace-it was so nice that we never ventured out for breakfast. The bedding was incredibly comfortable. Our room was close to the street so it was a not quiet (we were there during the week before a festival so we had firework, traffic, and parade sounds), but we loved our stay and will return!
- KarinSamm (10/5): Perfect stay, views from the terrace, awesome location, very comfortable bed, and such kind staff. - Our stay was perfect. Victor, Melina, and the other staff took care of our every need. The terrace was extraordinarily! We enjoyed the continental breakfast every morning. The junior suite was spacious and the bedding was fabulous (I’d buy this set for my own home). Thank you for the perfect stay. We will be back!
- William (10/5): - Staff was great and the location was perfect. Our room was very nice.
- Sergio (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rafael (10/5): - Great staff, clean hotel
Convenient location
- Ana (10/5): - Very clean, comfortable, friendly staff, great location
- Jim (8/5): - Very charming small boutique hotel with lovely courtyard. Quiet at night, comfortable bed, bathroom clean and nice but with small sink area. Limited clothes storage. Large room, but a bit dark.
- Patricia A. (10/5): - The location of the hotel is excelente. The room and bathroom are big and clean. The staff very freindly.
- Marco (10/5): - The property is intimate with only few rooms. It is quiet, clean, charming, and comfortable. The staff members lead by Melina provided such care of us and made us feel so welcome every time we were walking into the property, or just resting in the patio or terrace. We really felt like we already knew the everyone there and we were visiting friends. Thank you, Melina, and everyone else at Casa de los Olivos. We will come back.
- Robert (8/5): Beautiful but noisy - We stayed for three nights in this boutique hotel. In terms of decor and service from the staff (except complaint handling regarding noise) are very good.
It is a charming little hotel but seems to have some drawbacks.
There is an internal courtyard and the walls are thin. During our stay it seemed a couple of families perhaps known to the hotel (or regulars) behaved a bit like they owned the place in terms of noise and not complying with requests to respect the fact that other guests might be sleeping (af 03:00 - 04:00).
My recommendation would be point blank decline room #1, while it’s beautiful and has a really comfortable bed, unless you have earplugs you won’t sleep much due to it being by the entrance and adjacent to the courtyard (echoes).
- Carol (10/5): - What a lovely property! The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. I loved that they used local products at breakfast and local toiletries. Great location that was safe and walkable. The bed was a dream! It was like sleeping in a cloud.
- Enrique (8/5): Nice short get away - Good location. Clean hotel. Very friendly employees, willing to help and support. Melinda at reception always with a smile.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Our stay in this hotel was wonderful. The property is a colonial style. Very clean and comfortable. The location is great, a walking distance to every thing. The staff was great and friendly. They made sure that we felt welcome and comfortable at all time. I will return to Casa de los Olivos in my next trip to San Miguel.
- Mark E. (10/5): Beautiful villa in SMA! - Great place with lots of room for family. Staff was great. Quiet with beautiful views. It is a bit of a walk to town - maybe15 minutes. Loved it!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful, intimate, perfect location, excellent breakfasts, and a staff that couldn't have been more wonderful.
- Chang (10/5): - The service is second to none! Really helpful and friendly.
- Melissa (10/5): - Casa Los Olivos have the softest bath towels offered and I appreciate the natural loofah provided with it’s Moulton Brown toiletries! The property is conveniently close to the Cathedral and their rooftop have a good view of all the churches’ towers.
We were offered complimentary Margaritas.. such a welcome! ❤️
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely, elegantly simple property and great staff. Perfectly located.
- Jessie (8/5): - Comfy beds and great view from rooftop! The location is perfect and everyone at the hotel was friendly and helpful. They also helped us arrange a car to take us to the outskirts of San Miguel for a day at a pool and pick us up later that afternoon.
- RODRIGO A (10/5): - Excellent ubication.
Beatiful place
- Michael (8/5): Nice Quiet Place - Very accommodating service. Extra comfortable bed. Nice sheets. Good pillows. I would stay there again. Convenient location. Youcanwalk to everywhere.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I highly recommend Los Olivos. The simplicity and elegance is unbeatable. The location is excellent, a few minutes walk from the Parroquia. Great restaurants all around. No need for a car - Los Olivos has a private garage. Very chic, peaceful, and thoughtful details.
- William (10/5): Romantic and wonderful - This place was magical. The service impeccable. We had turn down service in the evenings with robes, slippers and cookies. Breakfast on the roof deck was spectacular and the day we had to leave was an early departure and the made us coffee and breakfast to go. Such a romantic and wonderful experience
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We had a wonderful time at this hotel. The staff was friendly and very ! The location is perfect as it is only 2 blocks from the main square. There are only 6 rooms so it almost as being in a beautiful house. There is a terrace that overlooks the whole city. We will come back .
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great staff with excellent location great continental breakfast
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Located a short and direct (3 min) walk from the central square this hotel is a peaceful nook in a busy city. The beautiful view from the rooftop is an awesome way to start your day or end your night.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Perfect location just steps from Jardin but lovely inner courtyard and nicely-sized rooms still quiet. Roof deck for breakfast was a delight. The staff was invariably wonderful. Wifi could use upgrading.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very small and centrally located, quiet, clean and minimal. Staff is very friendly and helpful!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Quiet, attentive service, only 6 rooms, great location.
- Albert (10/5): Oasis near the Jardin - Outstanding in everyway. Great modern room. Excellent bathroom. Incredible roof top views. Staff was superb. It doesn't get better.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice small hotel, comfortable bed, friendly staff.
No Bar nor kitchen (restaurant)
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The unique nature of the property, the character and the cleanliness
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wonderful! From the location to the service to comfort of the beds. Everything is perfect.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good location, friendly service, great breakfast.
Front desk totally forgot wake up call on March 2.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The best thing about this hotel was the location. It is easy walking to all of the Centro sites. We were greeted at check in and never told about breakfast or anything else. The bed was comfortable. The shower was fine but had a plastic curtain rather than a door. Shampoo was not refreshed. Breakfast was meager and they charged for orange juice. We paid about $240 per night for a standard room, but they were renting it for $137 online once we had paid. The WiFi was spotty at times. We would probably look for a different place if we were to return.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Excellent location two blocks away from the central square.
Terrace a bit overrated.
- Kristyn (10/5): Absolutely perfect - Loved it! Location was absolutely perfect, just steps from the square. The terrace offered lovely views day and night - and we especially enjoyed having our breakfast there. Room was spacious and comfortable yet still authentic feeling. The welcome drink was the best margarita I've ever had. I hope we get to go back!
- Eddy (8/5): - In general was a great experience. Just at night we requiere specific help and call to the front desk more than three times and we don´t have answer.
- Vanessa (10/5): Hermoso hotel! - I loved everything about this hotel and walking distance from city centre. I look forward to staying again!
- Jackie (10/5): - A quiet, peaceful oasis only blocks away from El Jardin. Breakfast on a rooftop terrace overlooking the city. Lovely courtyard with a small fountain and olive trees. Stunning rooms with high ceilings and black ironwork beds with soft white linens. Great shower. This hotel is just beautiful, the food is excellent, the staff friendly and helpful. Loved our stay here.
- Juliette (8/5): - Nice little hotel in San Miguel
- Verified traveler (8/5): pretty, close o the square, very helpful staff - The terrace has a lovely view and is a nice place to sit. However there is no service there/. I would like to have drinks and small snacks served there
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice hotel central to everything
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent service, close to everything within walking distance, and food was excellent. Loved the freshly made bread every morning!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely place to stay - Small, quaint with lovely rooms and friendly staff. Close to everything.
- Mayme (8/5): Perfect location - Authentic clean happy hotel in the middle of town-across the street from a fabulous vegan restaurant -with very kind and helpful staff! Pretty doors opened onto the courtyard from the rooms- making it feel like a safe family home. The AC unit dripped during the night and the sink faucet was a little cumbersome and inconvenient but the bed was fresh and comfortable...overall it was great and we’ll stay again!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Spacious room in charming setting - Large and comfortable room. Impeccably clean. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was a pleasant surprise.
- Cristian (10/5): Two nights in San Miguel de Allende - Nice hotel boutique in San Miguel de Allende. Location is a couple of blocks away from the main plaza and cathedral. Breakfast included is just fine with coffee, toasts and fruits, which should not be a problem considering the ample opportunities of restaurants and bars in the area.
We would definitely stay in this hotel again.
- Rick (10/5): Very friendly staff eager to please! - Absolutely loved the cheerful service, the original architecture, and outstanding shower.
The location could not be more perfect.
- Sandra (10/5): Everything was perfect - Everything was perfect -- the quality and cleanliness of the room, the customer service, the location (proximity to town square). I have no complaints. Only suggestion for improvement would be to put the continental breakfast in the courtyard so it is visible. We never saw where it was.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice Hotel and friendly staff - Nice little place, close to everything in the heart of San Miguel de Allende
- Kristy (10/5): really lovely - The Casa de los Olivos is wonderful! It's a beautifully restored mansion, bursting with charm and character. The suite comfortably accommodated 3 adults and was neat and clean. We loved having breakfast every morning in the courtyard or on the rooftop terrace (highly recommend the Huevos Cazuelas!). The staff (especially Alejandra) was uniformly kind, attentive and helpful. The location, a few short blocks from the Jardin, was ideal.
- Jane (10/5): Great small hotel close to jardin. - We stayed here the 3rd week of February and were very happy. The room was restful, very comfortable bed, good shower and plenty of room. The hotel also has a beautiful roof top terrace with lovely furniture, so we went up there to get some views of the city and relax. In spite of the many church bells and proximity to the main square, it was very quiet and we slept well. The breakfast was amazing with fresh fruit, delicious coffee and fresh amazing baked goods from the bakery across the street!
- Ricardo (10/5): All you need without breaking the bank - Perfect small hotel 2 blocks from de main square
- diana (10/5): Excelent location - Very nice colonial house, good service, very clean and confortable.
The only problem is the internet, thy do not have signal in the rooms
- Bobbie (10/5): Great inn close to the central church. - Great cozy little inn walking distance to many shops and dining options. The hotel staff was very accommodating. They gave tips on places to eat and things to see.
I look forward to visiting San Miguel again and stay at Casa de Los Olivos.
- William V Harford (8/5): Casa de los Olivos - Great location, 2 blocks from the central plaza, but on a quiet side street; There are only 6 rooms, and the hotel is very peaceful; Roof patio has a beautiful view of all of San Miguel, a great place for breakfast; Staff is very nice, eager to please; Don't pass up the pastry shop on the next block, which is owned by the hotel; My only disappointment is that the website says there is a Jacuzzi in the room, which is technically true, but it is a big tub Jacuzzi and it would take an hour to fill it up; All in all, you won't regret staying there.
- Jose Antonio (10/5): You feel like home - Felt like home, great food and very friendly people
- Scott (8/5): Great location - We spent 8 nights in this small (5 rooms) hotel and were welcomed each and every day by the friendly staff. All of the rooms are at ground level and are situated off an interior courtyard equipped with 2 tables (with umbrellas) and a small sofa with 2 chairs. The hotel, just 2 blocks from Jardin Principal, is easily within walking distance to scores of restaurants, including an extraordinary bakery (Cumpanio), and shopping choices.
The Jardin Principal is a not to be missed area complete with manicured grounds, a significant cathedral, many restaurants, strolling Marachi musicians and families gathering to enjoy picture perfect evenings.
- Roy (10/5): Excellent location, polite and helpful staff. - I recently stayed two nights at this hotel. I was extremely pleased. The location is excellent and within a 5 minute walk of the Jardin. The rooms are large and I found the bed to be very comfortable. My room had a large bathroom with a nice shower and and an ample supply of hot water and large bath towels. The room was extremely clean and quiet. I really enjoyed having breakfast on the rooftop terrace that overlooks the SMA skyline. A small continental breakfast is included but more substantial options are available at extra cost. My Chiliquiles Verde were excellent!. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
- steven (8/5): Steve from Houston - I took my 80 year old parents to see San Miguel. You cannot beat the Dos Olivos for location and price. The employees were very nice and breakfast was very good. I would highly recommend this hotel!
- Lisa (10/5): - Service was excellent, the room was very clean and nicely decorated.! The hosts was very nice and helpful when we arrived. They made us breakfast in the morning as well as gave us snacks during our stay. They also helped us booked our transportation back to the airport. Would definitely stay again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): great hotel right in the center. - The hotel was exceptionally clean and comfortable.
- Sharon (10/5): Very convenient location from the main square. - Very convenient location from the main square. Room #2 was large with a separate bed room and sitting room with two comfortable day beds. Towels are thick and the shower it hot. English is not widely spoken at this hotel but the staff is so friendly and accommodating that everything worked out? I would recommend this hotel.
