- Kennybearbear (10/5): Brilliant - Fantastic, very affordable and gives the full bang for your buck. Food is good , drink is good and the rooms are modern and comfortable! Staff are very nice too
- Dream37352284591 (10/5): Very good hotel in Galway - Very comfortable hotel. Great beds in nicely appointed rooms. Very quiet and good night sleep. Good food in the restaurant with very pleasant staff. Easy to get to and good parking.

- KyFlynn (8/5): Great stay! - We headed to Galway by car and parked it in front of the Nox hotel, where we then left it for the following two days. The front area inside the hotel looked really nice and was quite modern. Check-in went smoothly and our room was great! We slept well and had enough space for our luggage.
Breakfast was rather small, but more than enough for me. I do have to admit, though, that I am also quite easy to please when it comes to breakfast. Give me a toast, jam and some tea and I am happy. We also had dinner here one evening and while I was really happy with my dish, the service did struggle a bit with the restaurant being full.
There's a bus stop not far from here and it's really easy to reach the city centre from here. Overall, great hotel and we loved staying here!
- wpkenny (8/5): Very nice - Nice room - lovely breakfast clean and welcoming . Small bit away from square but knew that before booking . Would stay here again
- U3879JQelizabethc (10/5): Lovely short break away - Just had a lovely 2 night stay at this hotel with my friend.,The hotel is absolutely gorgeous everything about it was amazing the room the food and the staff.,We were due to check out yesterday early in the morning, but our flight wasn't until late evening so we were concerned what we were to do with our suitcases for the day, thanks to the lovely hotel receptionist hayley who stored our suitcases for us at the hotel and then went above and beyond to meet us in the city of Galway in the late afternoon with our suitcases we couldn't thank you enough was such a perfect ending to our stay knowing we didn't have to lug our suitcases around . thankyou very much for your kindness and thoughtfulness we will definitely but recommending this hotel and staying again
- e_mac26 (10/5): Excellent food! Great experience - Amazing food in the hotel, restaurant Fork was sensational. Had a large group booking, and the menu catered to the whole group. Food was delicious and staff were great. Also the breakfast was amazing, fresh and hot food. Great variety of breakfast options also. Will be returning!
- gyorgyimoravszki (10/5): 5 star - Wow!!! Simply WOW!!! The hotel is beautiful and clean! The staff make you feel very welcome!! The staff really make feel like they want you in there hotel!!!
The restaurant is AMAZING! Compliments for the kitchen staff!!! Food was delicious!!! Restaurant staff were so kind! My boy had a birthday so we got a cake and the staff brought it out singing happy birthday to him. Made it all special for him. I'm really sorry I didn't get our lovely waitress name but she well looked after us and went out of her way to say goodbye and once again say happy birthday to my child before she went off her shift.
Breakfast was unbelievable!! A 5 star hotel wouldn't have that much choice!!! From selection of fresh fruits cut up separately (not the tin stuff!) And ham and cheese and pastries and jam and Nutella and hot breakfast bar. Selection of breads.individual Ready made up fruit and yoghurt granola pots. Simply amazing!! Coffee machine not those watered down filtered coffee's. My boy even got a hot chocolate.
In my opinion this hotel deserves at least 4stars but 100 stars for effort of the staff!
We definitely go back even just for dinner again cos the Fork restaurant deserves a recognition! I cant say enough good things about the hotel!!! Even my friend from home told us to go to it cos it is amazing place and it did not disappointed us what so ever!! Definitely go back!!!
- M1286HDmari_ (10/5): GREAT STAY! - Such a pretty and friendly Hotel! We stayed four nights, cozy rooms, comfy bed, netflix on the tv, coffee in the room, great room service etc.
We had all our dinners at Fork restaurant. We loved everything they made for us! The burger was to die for, and the 40 oz Thomahawk Steak nearly killed us both (in a good way). The service was top notch, always professional and friendly. We will for sure miss this place. Thank you so much!
We will for sure recomend this hotel to anybody who travel to Galway!
- gmoloney1 (2/5): Poor - Room was very hot could not sleep despite turning down the heating to the last. I have stayed there before didn't have this issue which makes it disappointing.
- P8135VKalexc (10/5): Great stay highly recommend - Just got home from the box hotel after spending the weekend here can’t fault it at all clean hotel lovely staff James the bar man went above and beyond made sure he come over to talk to us daily was a really nice lad the company should be proud off having him as a employee will definitely be returning when we next visit Galway
- DollyWebb (10/5): Magical Galway trip if you want to feel special the Nox is the place to be - From the moment we stepped inside the entrance hall we were greeted with a lovely lady who took our photo at the very impressive Christmas tree and decorations and as we entered further into the reception area nothing disappointed from red flare to gold flare and the flare of Aileen behind the counter who welcomed us with open arms we felt like VIPS from the get go.
Our room was spacious and very clean and that night our wonderful gentleman Armin, receptionist brought us up water and ice and had a lovely little chat about the wonderful nox and surrounding areas.
Our breakfast was probably one of the most freshest and favourite meals iv ever had in a hotel and James in particular was outstanding as was May. Didn't rush even filled our water bottles complementary and also gave us disposable treat of coffee when we were leaving to go to the Christmas market.
Highly recommend the number 407 bus across the Rd at dunnes brings u straight in eyre square on the quarter past every half hr.3€
Taxi fivestar is exceptionally good only aprox 10€ into town

- bertydow (2/5): Lack of professionalism - Bar / Restaurant manager that loves to direct but doesn’t want to do too much himself.
He gets a little warm and decides to open the doors in the restaurant to outside so we can all freeze.
So many little flies in the bar and restaurant area.
Perhaps have a look at the lights above the breakfast buffet area as I have never seen some much build up of dust so would not want to be eating anything served under that area.
Worst of all was housekeeping banging on the door and letting themselves in very early and then shortly after they did it again without even knocking.
On check out, didn’t even get asked about my stay - shocking service.
Will not be staying here again.
- kwan (4/5): - Facility needs to be redone…
- Keith (10/5): - The Nox hotel is located on the outskirts of Galway which made it ideal for exploring the area. It is also a short drive into the city. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The staff are all very friendly and personable. There is a great selection of food at the breakfast buffet. I stayed 5 nights in October
- Gary (10/5): - Ivan behind the bar was outstanding!
- Dennis (8/5): - Overall, it was a good stay. Bed was comfortable, staff was attentive. Breakfast was above average for a “comes with the room” situation. Biggest negative was lighting. Hallways were dark and not all motion sensors worked as you walked down the hallway. And the bathroom in our room would have benefited greatly with more lighting.
- John B (10/5): - Beautiful room, great restaurant, fantastic service
- Joanne (10/5): - Just reminded me of the service I used to receive before cut backs. The check in was effortless and everything after that was so easy and nice, not that we needed to ask for anything.
The staff were fantastic!!!!
- Monica (6/5): - This hotel is in a sort of industrial/business park area. It was great for parking, but otherwise unremarkable area. It was about a 1.5 mile walk into town along a fairly busy road. It is close to a Dunnes and a Tesco. The room was just fine if slightly shabby, but the bathroom was very dark and needs renovating. While we didn't love the hotel, we did love the staff. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the morning was hot and delicious - I found plenty of vegan options.
- Aidan (2/5): No sleep - I got no sleep at all in the hotel due to a constant loud noise like a fan or pump right beside my bathroom. It was loud enough to keep me awake all night when I mentioned this to staff they didn’t even say sorry they just said you’ve paid up.
- Kimberly (10/5): - The breakfast options and the food were very good. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean room. Great stay.
- Philip (8/5): - Clean room friendly helpful staff
- Donna (10/5): - Wonderful place to stay. The only negative things was the lighting in the bathroom and room was a bit darker than we like. They are very energy efficient which is a good thing.
- joseph (10/5): - Great hotel, conveniently located about a mile from downtown Galway, enjoyed our stay there and we definitely stay again
- Beth (10/5): - Breakfast excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Dinner options also excellent. Beautiful areas to sit and relax.
- Marty (10/5): - Nice hotel, lovely room, staff very friendly and helpful
- Michael (10/5): - Everything was great except traffic noise
- Diana (8/5): - This was a nice property but a bit of a walk to the tourist, shopping and restaurants area. We were all walkers and the way to walk to all the activities was a flat walk so that didn't effect us, but if you're not a walker you'd have to be adding costs for Uber or taxis to your stay. Otherwise we were very happy with this property and would stay here again.
- Theresa (10/5): - Clean hotel and friendly staff
- jeniifer (8/5): - Convenient location on the outskirts of Galway City with free parking and easy transportation into the city center. As nice as it is to be in the middle of the action in Galway, the City Center is so congested anymore that staying just out of the fray can be helpful sometimes
- John (6/5): - The hotel is, let’s say “perfectly adequate.” Relatively clean and about a 20 minute walk into town. There are no shops or restaurants nearby. My wife says it’s like an airport hotel, that is, it’s a bit austere and off the beaten path. It gets the job done, but no frills. The staff was helpful and accommodating.
- Pamela (6/5): Good hotel. - Friendly & helpful staff, nice sitting areas in lobby area and good restaurant. Location is a bit far away from anything so if you were thinking of walking to another restaurant for dinner, it would be too far. Main complaint, is the dark hallways and dark rooms. The bathroom was so dark that I had to put my makeup on standing g by the window. And the pillows all need to be replaced. I had read about other complaints about the pillows but when I saw for myself, one was as flat as a pancake and the 2nd was just okay. But nice staff and a generally okay place to stay.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Clean room and friendly helpful staff. Very easy to get taxis into town.
- Lyn (10/5): - We've been driving Ireland for a week and this was such a lovely stay. Pristine property & building, excellent staff, great breakfast and dinner at Fork. Room was comfortable, clean, spacious and had everything you could need except tissues. A minor oversight. Laundry service was also offered, which after a week we needed, and they did everything as asked. Such a respite after put last stop, will definitely stay here again.
- Rod (10/5): - All Good
- Yiannis (10/5): - Great experience
- Robert (10/5): - Clean, with a comfortable bed. Walkable to shopping and dining option as well as the Latin quarter.
- Mary (8/5): - I found this hotel adequate. It was very dark. I would probably look for another hotel next time. Everyone who worked there was very friendly and helpful.
- Keith (8/5): - Nice clean hotel. Not much to do around there. Mile away from city center.
No refrigerators. No ice machines.
- ROBERT (10/5): - Staff were great . Especially James in dining !
- Kathleen (10/5): - Staff friendly, informative and helpful. Room clean and spacious. Food was excellent both at breakfast and evening meal.
- Clive (8/5): - Great parking with ease if access to the main road in and out of Gakway city.
- Craig (8/5): - Nice facility
- Ritchie (8/5): - Nice room. Really good food at the restaurant. Wish it had a microwave or mini fridge in the room.
- terry (10/5): - Easy parking, wonderful staff, tour bus pick-up was at the door, all meals at the hotel were excellent. It was convenient having a restaurant on site. The room was clean and beds comfortable.
- Geoffrey (8/5): A great stay! - Stayed for six nights in September. Hotel offers modern decor, with many cosy seating areas to relax with a drink or a book, besides the comfortable dining room. The bedroom was spacious and the bed comfortable. The shower room suffered from being underlit, especially in the shower cubicle itself, and the water pressure wasn't really strong enough.
The breakfasts were really good, with buffet service offering cooked options also.
The staff were really helpful at all levels within the organisation, nothing seemed to be too much trouble: friendly and professional.
We enjoyed the once/twice daily walk into the city, 20-25 mins each way, but realise that not everyone enjoys walking, so taxi-fares might have to be factored in.
We had a great stay in a busy, buzzy city, Would thoroughly recommend.
- Edward (10/5): - The restaurant is incredible. I'm not used to this standard of great food at a hotel. A real pleasant surprise.
- Tim8dpie (2/5): Unenjoyable - The reception area is very modern looking alas the staff were blatantly unfriendly to us upon arrival, we were greeted with scornful looks and when we asked for a different type of pillow (of which they had plenty) the response was unnecessarily mocking.
The shower tray and bathroom sink both backed up with water, there was a strip light hanging down under the sink and a button missing from the shower handle.
We stayed in a hostel the night before for a fraction of the cost that was cleaner, quieter and friendlier.
- Z7784WNvictorm (8/5): “Could have been an excellent review” - Lovely hotel with, generally great service from very friendly staff. Good review rather than excellent as I complained about the level of noise from an obviously “compromised guest” at 1.45am lasting at least fifteen minutes, on our first night in room 225 and expected a somewhat different response other than “ Sorry no mention of this by the night staff”!
Anyway, would still recommend this hotel as the food was great as was the setting.
- Susie (10/5): - Allgood
- William G (8/5): Nox - Comfortable and clean room
- Kevin (10/5): - Have stayed there a few times now. Convenient to city centre have easy parking very clean
- Clive (8/5): Nice hotel, perfect for city visit. - Nice Hotel with easy access and withing walking distance to the city centre. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Bar food was very good. Have stayed on a number of occasions and it has yet to disappoint me.
- Patrick (6/5): - Hallway lights had 1 out of 5 working. That together with the dark blue paint made the hallways dark and creepy.
Only one small elevator. Friendly staff
- Jasmyn (6/5): - Bathroom is really small. No bottled water so had to get pitchers from the kitchen. Toilet was clogged when we got to the room at check in.
- Tracy (10/5): - The Nox was outside the downtown area. So it was super quiet. Staff were amazing
- John (10/5): Great Hotel - Clean, quiet, perfect
- anne (10/5): - Easy mile walk to City Central. Dinner at options at hotel was great after a long day at Aran Island
- Ll547en (8/5): Business with a little pleasure - Situated on the outside of the city with good parking .. clean and the room was a good size with a nice bathroom. Staff are helpful and friendly .. the food was plentiful but self service which doesn’t suit everyone. I think this is more business than holiday type of an hotel ..
- Melissa (6/5): - Nothing more to add
- Adam (8/5): Nice Hotel - Hotel is very clean and has a really nice bar area. The room itself was also very nice. I just wish they had Air conditioning cause it was warm outside. Bed was comfy for a hotel bed. Would recommend.
- joannelamont4 (8/5): Nice food but hotel needs modernisation - First impressions hotel looked modern and stylish. Check in was easy and quick stayed on third floor was with my elderly mother Once out of the lift it was extremely dark and hard for my mother to see where our door was The room was clean but simple I was put off by the state of the shower basin so I did not use it and the sink has a hairline crack in it Room could have done with a fridge and iron The view was of the carriageway and we found it extremely noisy and difficult to get a full night's sleep. The set up for breakfast quite clearly does not work each morning we were down it was chaotic not enough room for people to get breakfast items definitely needs a rethink. Definitely put me off being there. Although I can't fault the food both at breakfast and dinner and as I say layout of breakfast needs a rethink
I definitely think although quite a new hotel the rooms need a bit of modernisation. If this was sorted I think we would revisit but as it is at the moment we would not ..
- Kirstyn (8/5): - Nice room and staff - a 1.6 mile walk to town
- LadyJC1980 (10/5): Nox Nailed it! Fairplay! - Husband and I stayed after performing in Galway. Staff were on it, rooms was clean and comfy with app logins available on the TV too. Breakfast was great. Like to acknowledge Irene on Front Desk abd thank you also. She was a pleasure to speak with, thank you for the late check out- hubby got his broadcast out on time thanks to your assistance.
- Gillian (8/5): - No complaints. Comfy bedding but not in the centre of town.
- Andre (10/5): - Staff is great. Very nice and polite
- STEPHEN (10/5): - The property was fantastic! The staff was very helpful and courteous. My room was clean and very presentable! Breakfast and dinner options were fabulous and distance to the City center was very easy. I will definitely return when I come to Galway next time!
- Brandon (8/5): - High-end feel without the price. Front desk personnel were friendly & helpful. Biggest issue, which is the case with most hotels in Ireland was the lack of air conditioning. Opening a window doesn’t offer much relief when there is no way to create circulation. Would suggest having fans in the room to help guests not be so uncomfortable. Or just spend the money & install something like wall air conditioner in each room. Overall nice hotel though.
- Pop2northwest (6/5): Would stay again . - Stayed as part of a family group for an event in Galway. Fine three star hotel, no issues. Had dinner on one evening and breakfast, was happy with both meals. Found staff very pleasant particularly the very nice man from Barcelona restocking the breakfast buffet constantly. The area where breakfast is served is
badly designed with all customers gathered in a small area almost bumping into each other! I would suggest changing this.
However enjoyed my stay overall , would stay again .
- Michele (8/5): - The service was good but the location wasn’t the greatest!
- Jimmie (8/5): - I felt it was the best value for a King room.
- Sarah (10/5): - Cool , Comfortable vibe ! Staff was friendly and helpful obtaining a taxi in the rain ! Food was delicious !
- Steven (6/5): No air conditioning and not close to downtown - No air conditioning. Not close to downtown. Would not recommend this hotel.
- Amy (6/5): - Parking was convenient. Rooms seemed a little stuffy without air conditioning and windows didn’t open very far. Otherwise it was fine.
- Excursion714637 (2/5): Two Thumbs Down! - I am sorry to say that our stay at the Nox Hotel was the only negative experience in the middle of an otherwise amazing trip. The first person that we encountered at the front desk was blatantly unfriendly. Then, as I was paying for our rooms (and without any authorization) an undisclosed 9% fee was tacked on to my reservation when my card was run. After multiple attempts to reach resolution on this with the manager (Lesley) via email and phone, the response that I got was that the charge was imposed by my card. This was not the case, and the fee was actually imposed by the hotel's card payment acquirer. Our stay was not much better. All of the room doors have a firm shut mechanism, but nothing to buffer the noise of the heavy door shutting, so both nights we heard constant doors slamming and loud voices as people returned to their rooms and left in the morning. The lack of customer service and predatory charges were incredibly frustrating, and they left us with a terrible impression. Thank goodness we moved on to other great experiences for the duration of our trip!
- XStark1ll3rX (10/5): Great stay! - Stayed while on business in Galway. Arrived & was quickly checked in with no issues. Rooms are quite spacious with a very large bed, clean bathroom & table/chairs. Only slight downside was the room has no air con so was very hot at night. Food in the on-site resturant was very good aswell. Pizza was slightly burnt on one side but was still great. Overall, a great stay.
- Dusty (8/5): - Onsite parking and close to shopping.
- Jacob (8/5): Comfortable, clean, friendly. - Nox is a good hotel. Comfortable, clean, with friendly staff. Not luxurious but will do nicely for a quick stopover. I’d definitely stay there again on future business trips to Galway.
- Bernardo (10/5): - I was there before just like it very handy for bus into galway city
- Anne (8/5): Great stay - Great hôtel for a short stay, great breakfast and food at dîner.
Staff very polite and friendly
- Joanne (8/5): - We choose this hotel because it had free parking. Reception area very nice. A bit of a walk into town. We had an excellent meal one night.
- Jeevan (8/5): - Hotel was well located, the room was comfortable with a good bathroom.
- Rhonda (8/5): - Great for a overnight stay in Galway. Variety of choices in restaurant for dinner. Liam, Ivan and Sharon were very hospitable and provided great customer service. Location is away from City Center.
- Judith (10/5): Helpful staff - I made an error with the date of my booking. David was extremely accommodating and quickly solved our problem.
- Keith (6/5): - 2 night stay- Poor lighting in hotel corridors and in the room bathroom due to over zealous efforts to conserve energy Toilet flush in room 314 broken on arrival & reported- not even looked at. Not happy
- Janet (4/5): - Tired decor abd basuc facilities.
Dim lighting in room.
Further from town centre than expected.
- Craig (8/5): - Comfortable and quiet, but a fair distance out of Galway.
- Ines (10/5): - Great hotel, good service, close to downtown with easy transportation.
- Elizabeth (8/5): - This hotel was nice, staff was friendly. It just didn’t match the price tag at all. It was more like a Days Inn, which are fine lower end hotels, then what I expected given the price tag. We stayed at several other higher end hotels that met our expectations, this one just didn’t equate.
- Sandra d (10/5): - Comfortable bed and great front desk staff. No air conditioning and the shower was a bit wanky.
- Sally (8/5): - Nice, modern decor, on outskirts of city with ample free parking. Comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. Reasonably priced and varied menu from the on site restaurant and bar.
Accessible bathroom provided for one able bodied person was not a great experience.
- O3891GDmarionl (10/5): Excellent hotel stay - Fab hotel excellent breakfast had an amazing 2 night stay. Staff were so lovely and friendly especially lorcan in the bar. So friendly with excellent customer service skills. I really loved the hotel atmosphere best I've experienced in a long time. Will definitely be back.
- Ana (10/5): - Great hotel with amazing location
- Pam (10/5): Easy spot to get to - Hotel was very clean and quiet. Had nice dining options onsite. There is easy transit to get into more the town areas.
- Aldo (10/5): - The Nox hotel was an amazing place to stay in Galway. The rooms were spacious and well kept. The staff was friendly and the food in the restaurant was excellent. We had breakfast there as well as a lunch and dinner. The service and food was always excellent. It was a bit of a walk to Shop street and city centre but very doable. It was about a 25 mintue walk. We took cabs sometimes and it was about a 10mintue ride. Thoroughly enjoyed this hotel and will stay there again.
- COLLEEN (6/5): - They do not care about the safety of their guests with food allergies. Extremely rude staff in the restaurant. The shower floor is very slippery. It is dangerous. They don't do housekeeping. Make sure you don't put your towels on the floor because you will be reusing them. They have tiny garbage cans that need to be emptied daily, but don't
- Jennifer (10/5): - Clean and quiet room.
