A hotel földszintjén működő boltban szinte tényleg mindent megtalál az ember. A környéken nagyon sok étterem, kávézó. Az óváros nyugis sétával 20 perc alatt elérhető. Sajnos a reggelinél a kávé ihatatlan volt.

• Adina (9/5): We had a pleasant stay - The hotel's location is very good, easy access to the beach and the city center. The room is cleaned daily and the towels are changed. The staff is very friendly. We didn't have breakfast included, and on the few days we didn't leave early to visit various beaches, we opted to pay for breakfast at the hotel. The food is good, but there's a lack of diversity, meaning that every day you had the same omelette, with the same vegetable salad, with the same dessert options. Otherwise, everything was good

• Elena (8/5): Ci siamo trovati molto bene - Hotel fronte spiaggia, si doveva solo attraversare la strada. Ombrelloni e lettini gratuiti. Molto carino il fatto che, non essendoci un bar sulla spiaggia, diverse ragazze e ragazzi passassero tra gli ombrelloni a chiedere se qualcuno volesse mangiare o bere qualcosa. Abbiamo pranzato in spiaggia più volte, comodissimo. L'unica nota negativa, ma solo colpa mia, è stata l'idea di andarci a fine luglio. Non fatelo, trooooppo caldo! Non definirei "piscina" quella piccola vasca posta di fianco alla sala colazioni.

• Penny (8/5): Fantastic location - The location of this hotel is perfect, opposite the beach, short walk into town, supermarket underneath. We had two rooms, one was fantastic and one was a little tired. The staff were really helpful and welcoming. Plenty of sunbeds on the beach.
• Dalibor (10/5): - The hotel is close to the beach, with free sunbeds. It's a family-run business, the staff were looking after us for the whole stay, we enjoyed the great atmosphere and vibe. Also, the rooms have been recently refurbished, and it feels like brand new.

• Sarah (5/5): Don’t book unless you like building sites! - Great location on the beach some of the rooms are old & some are renovated we were moved to a new room after 2 nights, they are far superior! Great bar staff. Supermarket attached which is very handy. Breakfast was great. Unfortunately there is a lot of building work going on less than 10 feet from the pool area and most rooms look onto it. There are 2 new hotels/apartment blocks being built. It’s the early stages so will probably be going on for at least another year by the looks at how slow they work. The noise around the pool, in most of the rooms and in the hotel is awful! They stop at 3pm but that most of the day listening to it. The hotel just kept saying it wasn’t his fault when we complained about the noise but my argument is that they should be telling people when booking that there’s so much building work going on! I never would have booked had I known. It’s very unfair not to disclose this info to people! If they don’t tell people then they should be offering a discount on the price! They gave us a few free drinks near the end as they knew we were annoyed with the ongoing noise! The manager didn’t handle the complaint very well he just kept saying it wasn’t his fault but I wouldn’t book this hotel until all building work is complete!

• Haugnes (8/5): Updated, clean, comfortable, central and friendly - It’s right across from the beach where they have their own sunbeds and service at the beach. Supermarket below and a nice breakfast section next to the pool area. Very clean, many of the rooms are renovated recently so they are updated and a super friendly staff. There was construction going on next door but we cannot blame the hotel for that, other than that we were very happy with our stay and would absolutely stay there again!

• Richard (7/5): Attention to detail could really improve the experience. - Proximity to beach; very good and friendly beach bar attendants; lift to upper floors; comfortable beds; regular maid service. Bedroom door lock had to be almost picked to open it and the manager said I had to fiddle with it! Bathroom door handles fell off. Nowhere to dry beach towels and bathing stuff, had to buy string and rig up a line. Maids arriving at 05:50 outside the room by storage cupboards talking loudly and clattering Breakfast: staff using bare hands to handle cold meats and cheeses whilst holding dirty dishcloths, fried eggs always cold, smoking allowed outside but just wafted into the inside dining area, no butter only margarine. Shop attached to hotel sold past sell by goods.
• Bill (10/5): Amazing views and location - Location across from beach is amazing.when we arrived we were greeted by grigori and the owner .they were very friendly and accommodating.grigori asked us every day if everything Was OK. The breakfast prepared by Effie was amazing everyday and plentiful. Overall highly recommend the hotel.had its own supermarket next to the hotel.close to all the restaurants.and easy walk to old town. And a very accommodating staff .thanks grigori and Effie for making our stay very pleasant besides the location and great views .amazing

• Alexandra (9/5): Wonderful property, close to the beach and the old town - This is an excellent property located right on the beach (just across the road). The property owner - Gregoris - is very friendly and helpful. He arranged all of our transfers to the property and back. He also was always available to answer all of our questions. The rooms are spacious and the cleaning staff did an amazing job every day. The breakfast is excellent. The beach staff (especially Leo) were also excellent. It is a wonderful hotel close to the beach as well as the old town. Everything was great

They cleaned the room everyday and changed the towels+toiletries. The air conditioning was not very powerful, but ok overall. The bathroom has a small window and you could hear everyone talking on the hallway.

No charge for the safe - thank you. Power of shower was great. Loved having a big mirror/dressing table in the bedroom to do my hair ans makeup rather than having to do it in a warm bathroom - big plus for a woman! Room cleaned more or less every day. The layout of bathroom was a bit tight when getting out of the shower, but think that was because it was on an angle - if you were a larger person you might struggle. Struggled to keep shower head up. A bit dated in places and a bit of colour would make a difference.

The fact that they have sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach and it’s free if you buy something to drink. The breakfast was good and friendly staff. The cleaning ladies will get in the room to clean even if you put the not disturb sign outside the door.

The hotel is right next to a busy street (as are most other hotels also) and the street is noisy day and night. I didn't feel like using the sea view balcony too much because of the noise.

• Brenda (9/5): Lovely couple of days with my sister in Rethymno. The hotel is well - This family run apartment was so close to the lovely beach in Rethymno. The staff were so helpful. We were late arrivals and they had done everything to make our check in as easy as possible. Lots of local information given. They have their own section of the beach which is staffed for drinks/snacks etc. The pool was small but just fine. The apartment was a great size and the bed in the bedroom was huge!! The decor in our apartment was a little dated but the place was immaculate and very spacious.
• Mrsv28 (10/5): Our trip to Rethymno - The location was perfect. A 10 minute walk to the Old Town, it had it own section of private beach with sun loungers and parasols, and there were staff to take your cocktail orders. Remember to take cash for your drinks on the beach. Our room was spacious and clean, and I liked that it had its own facilities, table and chairs, fridge, small hob to cook if you want self catering. We had a sea view balcony, and even though we were facing the road as well, it was reasonably well sound proofed. We sat by the pool which is in a sun trap, ideal if you love the heat, but also there are shaded spots if you prefer the shade. If you're lucky, you might even get to meet one of Cretes many cats. We opted for bed and breakfast. The breakfast was delicious, bread, cheese meats, one of my daughters especially enjoyed the omelette which was on offer. There was a choice of yoghurt, fresh fruit and pastries. The coffee was particularly lovely. As we were retuning to the airport late in the evening, the manager very kindly arranged for our luggage to stay in our rooms until our pre booked taxi arrived. The hospitality here was very good.

• Nicola (9/5): Great location and friendly staff - We have just returned from an 11 night stay at The Theo Beach Hotel Apartments. The hotel is in a great location directly across the road from the main beach in Rethymnon. The studio was very spacious and the balcony was a good size. It looked out over the beach and promenade which was great for people watching and watching the boats/ferries coming in and out of the port. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The studio was kept clean as the maids came in daily (except a Sunday as it was their day off and they deserved a day off!) The towels were changed daily and the bedding changed every couple of days. There was plenty of hot water and the shower had good water pressure. The main areas of the hotel were kept spotless. There were toilets in the hotel which could be used if you were on the beach and this saved you having to go to your apartment. These were also kept very clean.The beach service was great and as long as you bought a drink you could have the use of the sunbeds/umbrellas. They also served snacks, sandwiches, salads, pizza, french fries etc. There is a small pool area which we did not use as we prefer the beach but it looked lovely and clean. There is a supermarket on the ground floor which is open until late at night. A 10/15 minute walk will take you into the Old Town and is a flat walk along the well lit promenade on one side of the street and shops/cafes bars on the other side. If you choose to stay local, there are excellent tavernas / bars on the doorstep but there is no loud music or noise from these. We particularly enjoyed eating in Le Dome and Gorgona which are a few minutes walk from the hotel. We have visited Rethymnon about 8 times and have stayed in various hotels of similar size and this our favourite. We intend to return to Rethymnon and will certainly have no hesitation in booking The Theo Beach Hotel Apartments, Thank you to the staff for giving us a very enjoyable stay. We hope to see you again, We thought the mattresses were too hard but acknowledge this is a personal preference. When we return we will ask for the mattress toppers which have been referred to in another review.
• Susan (6/5): Pleasant - The location is amazing. So close to beach and old town. Balcony sea view amazing. Cleaning staff very good and friendly. Room was huge and well equipped - though the shower would not stay on its hokder The bed was hard - I rarely got a good sleep. Couldn't lie in bed and read The sofa is just another bed so not comfy to sit on and read.

Its own free sunbed with any drink orders. Friendly staffs. Room cleaning service. Also, it is much appreciated that we were allowed to have late check out due to our very late flight. Thank you! Great to have a cooking stove. It will be very handy if it could have some basic cooking ingredients as well, e.g. oil, salt, wash up liquid etc.

• Alan (8/5): Great Holiday in a great apartment - The apartments were just what you need for a self catering holiday - the location to the beach & sunbeds supplied by the hotel were just across the road & and were well looked after by the hotel beach staff with drinks etc - we had a great sea view from our balcony and comfortable chairs to sit & watch the world go by or the boats & activities on the beach. The hotel cleaning staff kept our apartment very clean with towels changed every day & sheets changed every 2 or 3 days which met our expectations - the kitchen facilities were well equipped to enable us to have breakfast every day on the balcony and also prepare lunch for the beach and even a couple of evening meals. We had a problem with the tap on Sunday and spoke with reception who actioned a plumber to replace it the following morning which was an excellent solution. We will definitely return again This is hard to answer There was nothing we disliked
• Martin (10/5): Exceptional - The location couldn't be better. Gregory and his family we're so friendly and accommodating and the Beach service was excellent. No charge for Sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach as long as you spent 7 euros on food and drink. Nothing to not like.

The central location is wonderful. straight across from the beautiful beach and comfortable walking to the harbour and old town. The apts are simply furnished and have all you need for comfort. easy comfy chairs on the patio. the cleaning is exceptional with fresh towels daily and bedding 2/3 days. Thankou lovely cleaning ladies. the on-site family run supermarket is a bonus and is open early till late. no bad comments to make

Nice sea-view ( room with seaview ), near the lovely beach, and 10-15.min walk to Rethymon ( Old Town ) Good breakfast, gave a perfect start for a wonderful day. and lot of restaurants nearby. Nothing - everything was perfect, and as promised.

• Maria (10/5): Highly recommend the hotel - We traveled alone as two girls aged 19, and this was a very good hotel. The hotel looks very nice inside and seems like it has been recently refurbished. The breakfast was very good and with different options (fresh orange juice, Greek salad, bacon, fresh fruit, bread and other hot food). The staff working there were welcoming, helpful and very cheerful. They looked after us and helped us if we had any questions both on the beach and at the hotel. Our room was cleaned and tidied every single day while we were at the beach. We felt extremely safe as two teenage girls on our own. The verandas are large and the room comes with a fridge and freezer. The only thing that was a little bad was that the air conditioning is directly above the bed, but this worked perfectly well if you just don't take it too cold.

• Florian (9/5): Superb - We stayed ten days in Theo Hotel Apartments. The location is great, within a walking distance from the center. Also with lots of good restaurants, bakeries and supermarkets close by. We appreciated the attentive manager and staff. Daily room cleaning was great. Housekeeping staff were deicated and professional lovely ladies. At the beach, the sunbeds and umbrella were free of charge and a very good bar service. All in all, we enjoyed our stay very much and it would be our future choice in the next visit.

• Marina (9/5): Superb - Great location, 15 min walk to the old Town. Hotel is located across the road from the beach. Stuff is very friendly. It would be nice to have beach towels.

• Jenny (9/5): Happy Days! 😎 - We thought the staff were super friendly, the location was perfect, service on the beach and sunbeds were brilliant! Everything was very well priced and lots of choice. Supermarket and shop was also great and everything stocked up even though it was end of season. The hotel was spotless, rooms were cleaned everyday (apart from Sunday). The facilities in the room were just what we needed, great size fridge. The room was lovely and quiet, and even though the road through to town is always busy, you couldn't hear any noise at night which was great! On arrival the welcome was warm and friendly, we were shown to our room and given a bottle of water for the night. We couldn't ask for more! 100% recommend and we'll definitely stay again! We found the mattress to be uncomfortable, however we notified staff and they have provided a mattress topper which made the bed a lot more comfortable. Unfortunately the chairs on the balcony and in the room were difficult to sit on in evenings.

• Младенова (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely hotel, very nice room with all amenities. A wonderful view of the sea and the Venetian lighthouse. The beach is right in front of the hotel with umbrellas and sunbeds. A wide and long sand line. Cleanliness is excellent. The owner is one of the nicest people I have met in my travels. I highly recommend the hotel. It definitely lives up to more stars, ie. you get more than what you pay.
• Rose (10/5): I would recommend Theo Beach hotel . It is great value for the price , what made the stay so good for us was how friend - Everything , especially the owners and staff went above and beyond with being kind and helpful, Parking behind the hotel is a little tight to manouver if you had a large vehicle , it’s a fairly narrow alleyway with a sharp right turn between two walls into the parking area . it was a bit nerve wracking at first but we got used to it . I only mention it to warn people it might be difficult with a large vehicle. Our car was safe and off the Main Street so we were happy to have parking on site.

• Stu (8/5): Nice clean modern apartment overlooking the beach - Very clean, spacious and modern apartment overlooking the beach. Staff were friendly and had excellent local knowledge, particularly which restaurants to go to. Close to the centre and easy walking distance to the Old Town. Decent sized fridge/freezer with electric hob plate, coffee maker and kettle in the kitchenette area and basic utensils. Beds were a bit on the hard side

• Nicki (4/5): Great location but poor accommodation and not like advertised - The location of the apartments in relation to the beach and the Old Town was perfect. Just across the road and onto the beach and a five minute walk into the old town so that was great. There was also a supermarket underneath the apartments that was really handy. It was clean and the towels were changed every day and the beds made apart from one day for some reason. The apartment was certainly nothing like the pictures on the website and not in a good way. In fact, if the pictures shown were of the apartment we ended up in we wouldn't have booked it. We booked a one bedroom apartment on the understanding there were 2 double beds. There were but there was no sofa to sit on and the bathroom was off the kitchen area which is where the bed. The kitchen area was basic, there was a 2-ring hob that you plugged in which worked ok but was not at all clean. There wasn't a t towel, dishcloth or washing up liquid, had to buy that in the shop downstairs. The plug sockets looked very old, the TVs didn't work and we were told they would be fixed but they never were. The decor was so unlike the pictures - the most basic and shabby (not in a good way) furniture whereas the pictures looked fabulous online. Very deceiving. Complained to the manager but he said they are the same and we clearly weren't going to get anywhere. This form of advertising shouldn't be allowed.
• Barbara (9/5): A great place to spend and enjoy your summer beach Urlaub! - great location, right on the beach and plenty of excellent tavernas nearby. Supermarket on site was very handy. Lovely friendly staff. perhaps it was just our room but the internet was poor. that said, the team did everything they could to help.
• Roussalina (10/5): Everything you need without overpricing - Very welcoming and helpful staff, special thanks to Panayotis! Very clean property, convenient for having a big shop on the ground floor for food, drinks and everything you might need, opened from early morning to at least Midnight. Beautiful view from seaview rooms, nice balcony. Short walk to city centre. Personally I would prefer the umbrellas on Theo Beach to be of a better quality for sun protection. Unfortunately I had to use the neighboring property's umbrellas and service. But this should not be seen as a negative for this hotel, because some people might like exactly this kind of umbrellas.
