jessical380 (10/5): Home away from home - We stay here every year. It’s our hidden gem. We absolutely love our condo. Staff is friendly and helpful in the office if you need anything. Walk right out onto the beach. Easy parking lot, check in, check out process. We will always keep coming here.

We stayed in unit 74. Was very clean and beds were comfy. Only issue was the unit could use updating. Living area furniture not very comfortable. Compared to others we saw, this unit is a bit dated. Thats the only reason for the four stars. I also have to mention the communication with the owners of the unit was exceptional!!

He’s lying and said he never agreed to that even though I have emails to prove it. Lost out on all of our money. Will never recommend to anyone
F2382TSbobn (4/5): TURTLE CRAWL - yeha no - We have stayed at several places on the Gulf side of Florida. First at $350 + a night our room did not on par. The refrigerator did not make ice. We had to put milk, water, drinks in the freezer to get them cold. Then when informed management on duty, it was and??? look. Refrigerator not fixed. Next it was a cold room, at 65 degree. Tried to get heat - furnace did not work. So we snuggled to keep warm. Snuggling is not a complaint- no heat is. Cleanness was a issue as off mold-musty oder was prevalent walking into room. Blind shades held together by zip ties. Very small bathroom, no area to put on makeup. Very dated !! Bottom line would not recommend staying here. As we will not be staying here next trip to Florida Gulf side. The view was top notch - but not worth everything to go through.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. There is always plenty of parking and some nice places to eat nearby. Would definitely recommend booking unit 64 @ Turtle Crawl.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The towel exchange was so nice. It was very quiet and peaceful. The beach and pool were not crowded any time. We will definitely return.
MW250 (10/5): Serene place, great people! - We just returned from a week long stay. Check in/out was easy and the ladies at the desk are so kind! The villa was clean and well equipped with everything we needed and more! The resort itself is small which guaranteed us space on the beach and time in the pool. We used the bbq grills almost every night, and they were always clean! Guests were mostly families or older folks, and all were respectful of the resort’s rules and quiet time.

dianebA5164TJ (2/5): Run don't crawl - We rented joined condos 61 and 62 at Turtle Crawl Inn over Thanksgiving with another couple - it was two bedrooms shared by a common living space. The condos at Turtle Crawl are owned individually but managed by the Turtle Crawl Inn Property Management company. While we can't speak for the other condos, we can speak for 61 and 62 We should have known what the experience was going to be like when we got the keys to the condo (first picture) Absolutely THE worst rental experience ever. I think "a picture is worth a thousand words" so will share the pictures we took of this abomination which included rusted shower holder, a green tub from the 1940s with no mat that was frankly dangerously slippery to take a shower in, cracked tiles, stained table chair pads (all four) and stained couch, rusted trash barrels, side bed tables in room 62 with no lamps or clock - one lamp for the entire room - (we know why now, too much light would have revealed how awful it was), half a beach umbrella (front desk did give us two), old used air fresheners attempting to mask the constant musty odor (BTW, we went to Publix and bought refills and antiseptic spray), dirty painted surfaces, especially around door knobs. Could go on but will let the pictures do the talking. What was good? The refrigerator kept things cold and the TVs worked. As the week progressed management, I assume, decided to start holiday decorating, but abandoned the attempt; as they left an extension cord leading from a storage closet to the half-lit bushes, across our doorway; not to mention the abandoned grocery cart full of decorations at our front door. We did bring our concerns to the property manager on our first day there and asked if we could move to another condo or were willing to move to two individual condos and we would pay any difference in cost for the remainder of our stay. They offered a 20% discount for their tower condos but not a refund for the place we already had paid for. They also told us the elevator was not in service there. The property rep said that since these are owner-owned, they would bring our concerns to the owner. They offered a $207 credit on a 2,072 total bill for 5 nights. Nothing else was offered. In hindsight, I wish we had charge-backed the entire bill on our credit card. These accommodations definitely influenced our stay in Longboat Key negatively. The beach is beautiful - no doubt about that - but it did NOT make up for the accommodations.

T9892CVtinag (4/5): Disappointed - I normally don't write reviews, but I feel like I paid a lot of money for a vacation rental that did not meet my expectations. I've lived in Florida long enough to know the expected standards. I stayed in the Unit 81 villa. I first noticed issues in the kitchen. The refrigerator was extremely noisy. The stove was dirty, and the coil burners did not fit properly on the stove, so the pans were not flat when you cooked. The coffee cups and cereal bowl were chipped. The dish washer did not work propery, as it was not dissolving the soap pods. Also, the basket that held the utensils had holes in the bottom, resulting in the utensils falling to the bottom of the dishwasher. The air conditioner was extremely loud every time the motor started, making it difficult to sleep at night. There was a lot of dust under the beds, and I had to call maintenance to have them clean it. The outside porch area, which had tables and a sink was extremely fithy, and the windows were also dirty, like it all hadn't been cleaned for a long time. I asked to have it cleaned, but they only swept the floor, without cleaning the table or sink, so I just didn't utilize porch. For the bathroom, the toilet bowl handle did not function properly, and the master bedroom had a broken drawer handle. The lamp switches were difficult to reach because of unfitted lamp shades. Overall, the place could definitely use updating. Otherwise, the staff were nice, the beach was pretty, and the pool area was well kept, but I would not recommend and unfortunately will not be going back.

tpdrick (8/5): Beautiful stay at Turtle Crawl Resort. - Great location, Beach front with easy access. Plenty of beach chairs, friendly staff, resort is a little dated, but we had no issues. Our unit # 83 was clean and had no issues. Beach area is beautiful and not overcrowded. Would stay again.

janettK7538OD (4/5): Do not recommend - Unit was nice and furniture comfortable however loud music from unit next door every night until midnight. Also a large group gathered under the pavilion beneath our room every night lots of shouting and laughter from about 8 until midnight or later. We were unable to sleep any night before midnight. The inn claims that 10 pm to 8 am is quiet time but its not enforced at all as there is no management present at night to do so. The pavilion should be off limits after 10. Why isn't it? I would definitely come back to Long boat Key but not to this resort. If its not possible to get a good nights rest there is no point.
amyt8313 (8/5): Loved it but way too noisy with parties at night - Starting with the pros: Stayed in an ocean front condo room 301. It is very clean, has everything you could want including dishwasher, two comfortable beds and a very comfy couch, beach umbrella, lots of towels etc. The beach right out front is gorgeous, grounds are clean, lots of beach chairs, ample parking etc. Cons: This seems like a party hotel. Every night has been loud music and loud parties at the BBQ area until at least midnight making it impossible to sleep. If you are older or have small kids this isn't the place for you. If you are into the party scene this is the place. There are suppose to be quiet hours starting at 10 pm but there is no one on sight to enforce it. For those reasons I would not stay again.
loriew987 (8/5): Great place but it better be for the money! - This place is very nice with a great location on the beach. Not fancy but great for us. Now the not so good. The bed was not very comfortable and squeaked like crazy! The A/C worked great in living room and not well in the bedroom. The dishes all smelled when you pulled them from the cubbard. Maybe residue from water. No biggie, just rinse before using, especially glasses. Check out time most places is noon. Some places at 11am, but here its at 10am! Whoa! Now lets get to the price. For 450 bucks a night This place should be incredible with wonderful beds, a first class kitchen and more, including a reasonable check out time! Now the wonderful part! Nicole in the office was the bomb! Helpful as can be with anything you needed and service with a smile! This gal is a keeper! Overall, we had a great time. I felt compelled to write this because when you pay as much as we did you expect to get what you paid for. at a 100 less a night this would have been great! It still was, just over the top, in your pocket pricey.
U9380XQchristinea (4/5): The good and the bad. - The good steps to the beach. Beautiful beach with chairs already on the beach. We were able to check in early- friendly staff. Plenty of toiletries, extra blankets available. The bad the AC was out our entire stay, and a repairman was in our room a large portion of our stay. The bathroom needs updating and mold on the shower curtain. Beds very uncomfortable and creaky. The floor made my socks black so not very clean. We also were told to wash the dishes before we left and there is no dish washer you are the dishwasher. I didn't trust the cleanliness of the dishes and washed them prior to our use especially without a dishwasher. We did receive a 30 percent discount through Air BNB due to our troubles, but we still will not be returning. Having a repair man, a majority of the time and no AC I feel we deserved half back. The property is not worth what the rates are.

Discover49787249316 (10/5): Exceeded our expectations - We rented unit 503 that was beautifully furnished in a sophisticated, contemporary decor and fully equipped with even more than we needed. Lots of fluffy towels, beach umbrellas, clean and modern appliances, a large walk-in shower, and a beautiful lanai with a high-top table that allowed an unobstructed view of the gulf. We were captivated by the 180 degree beach view, sun up to sunset. The beach was never crowded. We enjoyed the pool and BBQ. We also appreciated the location of this condo with a Publix market within 2 miles and nice restaurants close by. Our host Jim was caring, helpful and always available, both before and during our stay. He really cares about and for his properties in Turtle Crawl and worked hard to exceed our expectations. Can’t wait to return!

289brendap (10/5): Best views - Unit 501 - This was my first time in Longboat Key but it certainly won’t be my last – but I’m bringing my whole family with me next time! We really enjoyed unit 501, too! The condo was not only clean, comfortable and well-equipped with everything we needed – THE VIEWS!! Waking up to the best views and enjoying the sunset was a highlight of the trip. I loved being able to walk right out to the beach and enjoy the day and the sunsets. Can’t wait to be back!

Sherry (10/5): Loved the atmosphere! - We appreciated the staff at Turtle Crawl Inn! They were friendly and very helpful with our questions even before we arrived. The suites were perfect for our family, and the kitchenettes well-stocked with dishes. We appreciated the outdoor gas grill, heated pool, laundry, and spigots to spray off sand. Our favorite part was the beach at Turtle Crawl Inn! Much more private than some of the nearby beaches. Beautiful sand, shells, and sunsets!

Verified traveler (6/5): Good location, bad room - First off, there was no lighting in the bedroom. The shower was barely tall enough for someone who is 5’5. There was no ice machine in the freezer and no way to make ice either. The coffee maker stopped working after the first day and there is not much room at all for food storage. One of the few good things was that it is right on the beach so good location. But other than that the room was not what was expected.

We took our 2 teenage daughters to go and relax. The front desk staff was very friendly and emailed me to let me know that my room was ready early and they were all set for us. The room was very clean and comfortable. We had plenty of towels and blankets. Was a just a few steps to the beach with plenty of chairs. Everyone was very friendly. Can’t wait to go back.

Deb (8/5): Need a better shower!! - We really loved the location, staff, cleanliness, and heated pool, but the shower had ZERO water pressure, so it was not a pleasant experience. Also, a few lights didn't work, but we could cope with that pretty well. The shower was the main disappointment. Otherwise, really great.

Erica (6/5): Cute place, great view! - I booked the hotel for a business convention, also to have my husband stay with the kids there while I was at the convention... Then when I got back we could spend family time together. So much traffic getting to the hotel on the island.. Online it check in before 5pm.. So we called and left VM to let them know we were running little behind if someone was gonna be there... No one answered, or called us back.. But we got there and someone as there, wasn't the friendly greeting. Our room was super cute with an amazing view. We got settled in and went to pool ( which was super warm) went to go lock the door at night and couldn't lock the top lock with the key...so we only had the bottom lock is locked I wish there was some kind of extra security. Put air down to 71 but still wasn't cold enough. Floor was sandy and we swept as soon as we got back from the pool, we have a crawler. Anyways we thought the place was super cute, rooms had good amount of space.. Loved having a whole kitchen because Publix is so close! Had plenty of extra blankets, pillows, towels..no ice machine.. But u did have 4 ice trays in freezer. Lol Paided a cleaning fee.. But couldn't leave trash bag in can.. We would consider staying again.
Kristen (8/5): Can't beat the view! - Nothing like walking into your room and being able to see the ocean from the door! Can't beat this view! The room was clean and fairly comfortable. But that view and balcony was worth every penny!
RAFAEL (6/5): Not good! - First the property management provide us with incomplete after hours check in information and that delay our arrival, them the bedroom TV didn't work, them the patio light didn't work, the pool is not even in the building but in the front yard of an adjacent villa. Our first morning we were having coffee in the patio at 10am and the upstairs resident come out to the balcony screaming to us BE QUITE! them on Saturday night we were having dinner at the cabana around 8:30pm and another elderly couple come to us asking us to be quite. (Just as an FYI we were 2 couples in our 40s having dinner and wine and having a regular conversation, no music or anything loud!)
Viviane (8/5): Nice hotel right on the beach. - We enjoyed our stay at the hotel very much, the view of the Gulf was spectacular from our balcony on the fifth floor with large patio doors showing the view. The one bedroom condo was large, nice bathroom and open concept kitchen, dining and living area facing the Gulf. Very comfortable and pretty updated furniture and amenities. The staff were very friendly and very accommodating, the beach was nice with plenty of chairs and umbrellas, pool was nice and there was mini golf and shuffleboard on site. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a relaxing beach vacation on beautiful Longboat a key.
Rob (8/5): Nice accommodations right on the beach - Great unit with view of the beach. All the amenities of home plus the beach and pool. Unit was clean and updated condition. The only concern we had is that we arrived about 6pm on Friday and were not told that the office would be closed and we needed a code to gain access to our room key. Spent about 30 minutes calling various phone numbers posted on the office door. Property manager gave us a phone number of someone who gave us yet another phone number. We did finally get a hold of the right person and gained access but we were very concerned that we might end up sleeping in our car that night. Need a better system for this. Other than that, the place is great.
Verified traveler (8/5): Quick weekend getaway - This was just a quick 2-night get away for my husband and I and we were looking for somewhere on the beach. Turtle Crawl in is a cute establishment made up of 1-bedroom "condos". Five floors, 4 units per floor (for the beach-front building). We stayed in #304 and it was very nice. A little older (in terms of kitchen/bath) but well appointed and very clean. Views were awesome. Just what we were looking for. Would definitely come back again.
Verified traveler (6/5): Place was a dump with hidden check out fees - The room was dirty, the floors were filthy, old furniture, burned out light bulbs, mirror fell off bathroom wall and was on the floor upon check in. Let's not forget the extra checkout bonus. They charge you a $50 room cleaning fee....the dirtiest hotel we ever stayed in. We love LongBoat Key but would never go back to this place again.
Emily (4/5): Beach is beautiful, room was disappointing - The size of the room was nice but the floors were sticky and the bed was not very comfortable. Beautiful beach! That's always the highlight! Housekeeping never came to our room and we were there 4days. We had to exchange dirty towels at front desk and even fetch extra sheets. But you're expected to clean all dishes and take out trash or otherwise get an extra cleaning fee. Funnily enough they have an envelope inside the room to tip housekeeping....not sure what you're tipping them for!? I probably would not stay there again unless there were no other options.
