Guest Reviews
- Matthew (10/5): - It was easy, affordable and clean. Comfortable bed
- Carrie (8/5): - I liked my room, it was good for what I needed. You can hear the ice machine and sometimes the washers when they are being used.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Would not stay again. - Despite the cover photo being a pool, the hotel itself does not have a pool, and you can supposedly use the neighboring aquatic center. Additionally, the hotel has the wrong hours for the pool, and the hours that the aquatic center has are limited. Lo and behold, the pool was actually down for repairs. We went out of our way for a hotel with a pool only to find a hotel without a pool and an aquatic center with a broken one.
The hours for the breakfast are 4am-8am, which is entirely unreasonable for a family. There was no food around. We ate dinner and breakfast from a gas station.
The rooms themselves have faint odors of years of previous smoking. Linens and carpet had stains.
Building not secure, not sure where the "mountain view" is.
Overall, pretty much the epitome of false advertising.
- Roger (6/5): - Shower was very small probably 3ft wide beds weren’t very comfortable and pillows were very flat
- Nicci (8/5): - Enjoyed our stay. Friendly staff and comfortable beds.
- merrill (8/5): - Clean need to work on tv issues
- Whitney (10/5): - great place
- Chris (8/5): Best stay in killdeer - Clean rooms, very comfortable bed
- Gordon (10/5): Newly renovated friendly staff - It was clean and renovated, there’s no pool you get access to the rec center next door. But, the staff was really nice. It’s about half an hour from Dickinson. More affordable option that spending a ton of money in Dickinson.
- Allison (4/5): - We ended up leaving and found an alternate hotel. The room was very cramped with the bed against the wall- I can only imagine the cleanliness along that wall. The real deal breaker for me was the dark brown sheets and towels. I prefer white linens that I know have been washed in hot water and bleached. Colored sheets in a hotel are colored for a reason, and it can’t be good.
- Heather (8/5): - The room and lobby area were very clean. It looked like the room had been recently renovated. The beds were comfortable and there were nice towels. Unfortunately our blinds were broken and we weren't able to close them as much as we would have liked being on the first floor. The neighbors right outside our window were pretty noisy running various pieces of equipment. (Not the hotel's fault by any means.) There was a lot of noise in the hallway when we were trying to go to sleep. It woke us up more than once. Breakfast was served 4:00-8:00 a.m., which was nice since we wanted to get an early start. Unfortunately when we got to the breakfast area at 6:00 a.m. most of the food was gone. The 3 individuals before us had piled their plates high and left for the day. The woman behind the desk said she put more in the oven. We waited about 20 minutes, but needed to get going so had to stop elsewhere for breakfast a few miles out of town. There were only 3 dining options in town--that we found anyway. A Dairy Queen, a small Mexican restaurant, and some sort of food truck. The overall town was oddly quiet. And dusty. Just a lot of pickup trucks and workers from I'm assuming the oil/gas rigs in the area. Everyone was friendly and kept to themselves. The property description shows a pool, but the pool is not on site--it is actually at an aquatic center down the road with very limited hours.
- RODNEY (10/5): - Staff was great, breakfast wasn't generic, acres to fitness center to was excellent. Great stay in a small town.
- Marlene (2/5): - WE SAW THE OUTSIDE OF THE BUILDING AND THE PEOPLE IN THE PARKING LOT AND DROVE AWAY TO THE NEXT TOWN. DID NOT STAY OR GO IN ROOM.
- Walter (10/5): - Everything was great. Seemed recently renovated. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Very clean. Only one complaint and that was the mattress support slumped us to the center of the bed.
- Rebecca (8/5): - Quiet and staff was really nice
- william (10/5): - Clean—good breakfast—reasonable $
Everything in room in great condition
- Joseph (10/5): - Impressed with property. Updated and comfortable. Highly recommend.
- Tammy (4/5): - We didn’t like that the room was on 2nd floor no elevator. Asked for same type room on first floor. Moved us (3 adults to 1st floor) 1 king bed instead of 2 beds. Luckily our son and family didn’t stay at motel so 3rd adult stayed there or would have had to pay for another room just to sleep. I also thought these were queen beds but they only have full beds. What motel doesn’t have queen beds.
- Karen (6/5): - I was not happy that the motel did not have a pool in it, says on website pool, does not say its next door and limited hours. Was quiet for the most part. Very small room as bathroom, not a fan of the small bathroom where the drain plug did not work.
- merrill (10/5): - Great place great service
- Michael (8/5): Dakota trip. - Was good
- Jeremy (10/5): - Perfect hotel for hunting!
- Moses (10/5): Small Clean Nice - Clean small rooms. Friendly clerk.
- Roger (10/5): - The staff was always helpful. They had early morning breakfast Helped us with our laundry. The rooms were very quiet. Hope to come back some day
- Robert (2/5): - My window had a view of neighbors junk yard
- Ruby (8/5): Good Enough :) - Since Hotels.com went to OneKey the desk clerk said they only get a request for a room not the type of room reserved so only one of the rooms out of 3 was the type of room I reserved on Hotels.com. The staff was very helpful, breakfast was small but had everything we needed. WiFi was okay early in the morning but less reliable after about 8:00. Parking in the lot was pretty hard to find after 9;00 p.m. We would stay again if we were ever in Killdeer again but would probably request a room in the newer part. Overall a positive experience.
- Kevin (4/5): Disappointed with new management - This hotel had always honored state rate for state employees. The new management not only did not honor state rate (only $10 less than their normal rate), she said they will never honor any rates or specials for government employees. The breakfast was excellent, room small.
- Nancy (10/5): - Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was really clean. Only thing was sign in lobby stated breakfast over at 8:30 am but my daughter went to eat at 8:15 and everything was put up.
- Bonnie (10/5): - I called because we were going to be a late check-in. He let me know restaurants close by 8 in Killdeer, so to get dinner before driving in and no problem if we arrived before midnight. We were greeted when we arrived and breakfast was 4-8:30. (The majority of guests are oil field workers). It was quiet, clean and everyone was very friendly. If you're looking for a place to stay between the south and north sections of TRNP this is a place to consider.
- deborah (8/5): - Staff was friendly and attentive. Homemade cookies everyday at 5! No complaints about our stay.
- Phyllis (10/5): - Good breakfast and friendly employees!
- Jim (8/5): Recommend - Exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Hot breakfast was available starting at 4am and hot cookies available every day at 5pm. My only complaint was that the size of the room was very small and the bathroom wasn’t much bigger than a closet.
- Michael (10/5): - Very clean, good hot breakfast and the staff was very accommodating. I got in at 2am and they provided a late check out! I would stay here again!
- Susan (8/5): - Nice but rooms are small
- Frank (10/5): Friendly Place - Very clean , friendly staff and very quiet!
- Heath (10/5): Come on over - Nice hotel to stay. Friendly staff and clean rooms and very spacious. I would recommend this place to stay if you’re in the area.
- Maureen (10/5): - We very much appreciated checking in a bit before the 3 pm check in. The room was very clean and the bottled water and snacks were a bonus!
- Douglas L (10/5): - It was very clean and comfortable. The owners and staff were very attentive. A great experience.
- William (8/5): - Would definitely stay here again. This location is in an extremely small town but was very accommodating. The staff was phenomenal. Fresh cookies daily, the breakfast was good. The only negative thing I can think of, was our mini fridge freezer section didn’t work properly and there wasn’t a hair dryer.
- janet (10/5): Friendly atmosphere, great service - Older hotel, but well maintained and very quiet. All the staff was extremely friendly and the service was excellent. Sarah worked the day shift while we were there. She always called me by name. She made a point of greeting my grandkids at breakfast and wishing us a good day. Breakfast was always good!
Staying at a hotel was a last minute decision. We planned to stay 1 night and ended up staying 6. The hotel is across the parking lot from the aquatic center. We were given free pool and workout passes too. I stayed here 1 night a yr ago, and I'll stay here again.
- janet (10/5): Older but nice motel with a great staff - The staff (Trent and Sarah) was super friendly and helpful. They bent over backwards to help when my plans changed. Breakfast was hot and rooms were clean. We even received free passes to the aquatic center and workout facility across the street. I stayed her once before and will again.
- Howard (8/5): Wedding Stay - Nice clean hotel with friendly employees, enjoyed our stay, would stay again
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The items for breakfast were nearly gone by the time we ate in the morning. A hair dryer in the room would be a good addition
- Derek (10/5): love this place :) - Great hotel. the folks at Cobblestone in Killdeer wanted to get lippy with me and my employees so now we will take our Business here. Best hotel in Killdeer and surrounding area by far.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Welcoming staff, nice breakfast
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Breakfast selection was terrible. Could have had better breakfast
- Rodrick (10/5): Really pleasant! - Super clean and very comfortable! Even decent breakfast. For a small town it was very nice.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent hotel. Really nicely kept. Very up-to-date interior. Beds were very comfortable. Great location. Highly recommend the restaurant called the pipe. We were referred there by the person working the front desk. We were lucky enough to find that there was a rodeo in town that night as well. Great place to visit.
- danielle (10/5): Love it here - I love this hotel! Its so cute and comfortable! They also had a hot breakfast!
- Glen (10/5): - Very nice Hotel. Price was reasonable. Breakfast was very good.
- Dean (8/5): - It was good friendly staff
- Bear (10/5): - Great place. Clean. Comfortable, staff is very nice and accommodating
- Ron,Monti,Alron (8/5): - Close to town made is easy to enjoy the national park
- danielle (10/5): Love - Super cute little motel! All staff super friendly! Warm cookies at 5 pm and breakfast was filling too! I try to stay here if I am in town because they never disappoint :)
