• Tracey (1/5): A terrible family stay—no heating, inadequate bedding, poor conditions, and no meaningful support when things went wrong - Very little, unfortunately. The only positive was the location being relatively convenient for our planned activities, and the basic size of the apartment for a larger family. Beyond that, the experience was extremely disappointing. This was one of the worst accommodation experiences we have had. The apartment did not meet basic comfort standards and was completely unsuitable for a family stay. One of the biggest issues was that there was no proper heating provided at all. What appeared to be the only unit available was actually a dehumidifier, not a heater, meaning there was no reliable way to keep the apartment warm. We were travelling with 5 children, and there were no additional blankets provided. After raising the issue, the apartment manager delivered just one extra blanket during the night and left it outside our door, but refused to move us to more suitable accommodation despite the circumstances. Expecting a family with children to stay in cold accommodation without heating or adequate bedding is completely unacceptable. There was also a terrible smell when stepping out of the lift onto Level 3, creating an awful first impression. The overall cleanliness and condition of the property were poor, and after reading other recent reviews, it appears these are ongoing issues rather than a one-off problem. To make matters worse, Booking.com was completely unhelpful throughout this process. The handling of our complaint was incredibly disappointing and added unnecessary stress to an already awful experience. Because of this experience, we will never book through Booking.com or stay at MCentral Apartments again, and I would strongly caution others—especially families—against booking with either.

• Kajun (7/5): Economical and central. - Central to everything and economic. Opposite the bus stop too which was ideal. This accommodation could be so much better if they only focused on detail. The wardrobes are old with faulty doors and shelving. The table is chipped up and the chairs don’t fit the look and feel. In the shower the walls are peeling at the bottom.

Due to being unfamiliar with location it was hard to find due to road works n traffic being redirected couldnt find it to get there, Even with google maps n locals helping us with directions.
• Toakase (8/5): Overall such a beautiful stay. Very convenient. - Location: Very close to North and South motorways. Bed was comfortable, clean and warm. Shower was clean and water very good temperature. Loved that a washing machine and dryer was available. Bedrooms were a very good size. Kitchenette clean and had necessary utensils. Beautiful view. Carpark close (note not secure but it was monitored). Season is getting cooler - needing heating that worked. There was a wall heater in one of the bedrooms which was on but didn’t feel any heat from it.

• Cassidy (1/5): Seems well lived in - wouldn’t recommend to stay - Mold in the shower, shower also had a leak. The place seemed like it was lived in, and it doesn’t represent the photos that are displayed. Frayed carpet, food in the carpet, dings all on the walls, old baby proof latches still on the cupboards, an ugly couch covering a beat up couch that was uncomfortable to sit on. This place is actually a living spot for foreigners, not really for short term accommodation. The only positive was it is close enough to the places I needed to go.

• Margarita (8/5): Pleasant - Great location - next to the transportation hub in Manukau. Easy to get to and from airport. It was also on the same street where I needed to go. Staff were great. Rooms were clean. The aircon/heater would better if the duct was properly attached to the outside. Suggestion: have like a welcome or instruction sheet in the room/fridge for the appliances and about the area.

• Sharyn (4/5): Give this one a big miss - After complaining they were quick to move us a family of 6 to 2 apartments on other side facing the airport. So cudos to the guy at Reception who heard our complaint and acted on it. Thanks. Everything! Paid for parking in a dodgy area firstly. No mention of paid parking at the booking. Construction all day and sometimes maintenance into night! Maint crew said the place was not found compliant so that's why they were there! Rooms were not clean found a lot of mess and others clothes. NO ducted heating or cooling. Rooms are hot facing the sun so you got left a fan or air con thru a window for night : wasps and bees inside. Noise all the time. People screaming in apartments above. Drunken man walking thru the complex without a fob key! Not sure how he got in but the doors are open until 8pm (others rent apartments so could have got in with them?) Lights in hall areas placed where main bedroom is with a window into the hall? So the blasting light is on all night. This area is dodgy and has a lot of vagrants hanging around. Too hard to change with kids otherwise we would have but Sorry ..would never stay there again.

The location of the apartments was central to Westfield Mall, the public park across the road, the bus stop terminal nearby, MIT also nearby, many places to enjoy eating out as well TV was too small, the couch was too small for the amount of people in our room

Alot of scuff marks on all the walls. Broken tile in bathroom. Long strands of hairs in bathroom. Black mould in the shower. Very fishy smell in the corridor of level 10. My room number was 1010. Dining room table was broken and wobbly. Dining chairs could not hold my weight. Red stains on the carpet. Could not use Aircon unless the window was open due to the exhaust pipe hanging out the window. More like a 1 star rating instead of the advertised 4 star. Absolutely disgusting.

Had everything we needed and the beds were super comfy and had 2 bathrooms and a washing machine. Also across the road from a huge playground and a few minutes walk to Westfield mall Had to pay $12 to park in front of the building and the entrance made it look abandoned. The washer/dryer took forever to dry clothes and the dehumidifier was full before night fall and we didnt know how to empty it to continue using it. Also the removable shower heads need tightening so they stay in place

There was no bedside tables or lamps and the walls were dirty in the bedrooms. The images presented online are completely misrepresenting this hotel. Would not recommend to anyone.

Bad smells throughout the whole complex, lingering in the apartment. The rooms were really small, for a 3 bedroom apartment it was very tight spaced, small bathroom and only one small window in one of the bedrooms. A lot of homeless hanging around outside the complex, and people smoking weed in the apartment stairways. The place felt unsafe.

• ethan (4/5): Disappointing stay with poor WiFi, misleading amenities, and uncomfortable, poorly maintained room - Convenient location to the shopping center and it's probably the only convenience i experienced about this place and the receptionist being pretty nice. Even though this is on the low end of budget I still think there's better places for the money. I stayed in room 305. Apartment is pretty under furnished and gives you really basic furniture and keeps it very minimal. TV is not a smart TV and can only watch whats on the cable connection. There are sliding screen doors with frosted glass for the bedrooms which aren't see through but lets a tonne of light in, from lights/tv. These sliding doors also don't even slide that well and difficult to close and open, if you do manage to close it there's not really even a handle to slide it back up to exit. Personally the worst part of the stay was the Wifi. It is absolutely terrible. constantly cutting out and not maintaining a connection. For a period I could not even get onto youtube/google. Going over the reviews this has been happening for a long time and not sure why this hasn't been addressed. super infuriating. Disgusting stain on the sofa so I didn't use it as it's been poorly cleaned. The room listing had heating listed. There was nothing other than a portable AC unit which only blows cold air which I assume is what they also list as "air conditioning". So be prepared to have to use the exhaust pipe out the window while in use! which parking lot can be rowdy :). Reception did let me know I could have asked for a heater if needed. I still think this should be provided without things needing to be said. The room listing also said View: Garden view / Mountain view / City view I didn't get any of these except for a view facing an office building right next to it which thankfully they keep the blinds down in. View information should be removed from the listing if it isn't accurate to the room so may want to double check.
• Jessup (5/5): The little things make a difference - Lots of space and bed was comfortable No plug for sink, lack of cooking equipment ( no chopping board, no sharp knives to cut with) ripped carpet and shower head would not stay still while showering.... The $100 deposit i had to pay in the likely hood of damages was not mentioned at booking nor was paying for open air carparking at $12 /per night.

• Mella (8/5): Good location, friendly staff - Close to shopping mall, across the road from manukau bus station. Our towels were replaced daily and rubbish emptied daily. Feeling of safety and security. The fire alarm went off, and we didn’t know it was for our building. I ended up ringing reception to find out what was going on, after a good 10-15 minutes, of the siren going off. He rang me back and told us to evacuate from the building immediately. On arrival, the admin should be advising of fire evacuation and procedures.

Bathroom had black hair all thru it, and toothpaste on vanity where it had not been cleaned. There were belongings in the unit who possibly was from previous occupancy.. the tv never worked... . Room was not serviced between days, even though it is advertised as "serviced" appartments.. there was fresh towels provided between nights however... and now it has been 5 days since departure and our bond has not been released, even tho upon departure was told bond would be released. Still chasing that up..

• Simmone (1/5): Disgusting. Rats would be senile to live there. Fortunately, it was only for a day - Absolutely nothing. Customer service/whole: I was messaged prior to my booking that they could accommodate my situation being, flown in from Australia at midnight noting that we would most likely get to the accommodation around 2-3am. We arrived at 2am to then be told to sleep in our car. 2x adults a 10yo and 5yo. It was the worst feeling. Being told after explaining my situation of having kids, to then provide my evidence of discussion regarding my circumstances. Then told us at 3am, return at 8:30 when the manager returns. We then return and they charge us an extra $220 - ($100 deposit which was to be expected). But $120 for after hours. Unfortunately, I couldn’t afford to house elsewhere. Poor service, poor quality of room Room: 3x bedroom There was a Whole in the only couch in our room The beds hard as rock and very bad odour
