- cedew (10/5): Breathtaking views - We went for an anniversary trip. The lobby, restaurants, pools and rooms are all situated to take advantage of breathtaking views of the arch. Our room was spotlessly clean and the decor was very sleek but still cozy. We absolutely loved lounging by the pool with perfect skinny margaritas. Our meal at Manta was one of our favorites. The breakfast buffet had so many delicious fresh and local choices. We can't wait to go back.

- Navigate10016771531 (4/5): Ridiculously expensive once there and boring! - Let me start with the positives by saying that the room was beautiful and also extremely clean. We stayed in the partial ocean view king suite. The balcony with the swing was wonderful. The pool and views outstanding. The negatives, too quiet. Too laid back and location is out on a limb. You would have to take cabs to go anywhere. At night it was like The Shining, nobody around only the bar man. Boring. The reason for the low score is because the prices for drinks and food are daylight robbery! When you order a pina colada at the pool they ask you if you want rum in it. They bring a plastic cup with frozen pina colada then add the rum. All cocktails average at $35 each!!! Breakfast buffet is $68 and $48 for kids each! We didn’t get it. Food is average and no way at Michelin star level. Menu is strange and not inviting. A steak over $400 with taxes and fees! Lol If you have money to burn and don’t care about quality drinks or food or having any fun at night this is your place.

When at the pool, ask for Fernanda or Lenny. Two of the best servers I have ever had on vacation! They are kind, friendly and their opinions and knowledge of amazing pool cocktails are elite!
- 359luisjavierb (4/5): High-End Stay, Low-End Exit Experience - Beautiful property with excellent food, amenities, and overall service. However, the departure experience significantly fell short. I was told multiple times that a hospitality room could be used “as long as needed,” with no time limits, which drove my plans for the day. On departure, I was asked to leave early and incorrectly charged for an additional night. While resolved, the process was stressful and avoidable, and the interaction lacked empathy. The team followed up and committed to resolving the underlying issues—yet to be seen. As a frequent Hyatt guest, this overshadowed an otherwise great stay.

The hotel has such a great vibe: it’s boutique, stylish, and tends to be more adult-oriented, which makes it feel relaxed and elevated. One of the highlights was the Michelin-rated restaurant, Manta—absolutely delicious and a must-try. The rooftop bar is another standout, with panoramic views and live music every night. It’s such a fun atmosphere and the perfect place to unwind. Spa is fabulous with steam room, sauna, plunge pool & hot tub. The staff is top-notch and genuinely goes above and beyond. You can tell they truly care and love what they do, which makes a huge difference in the overall experience. Always ask for the highest floor—it doesn’t cost more and the views are even better. If you can, book one of the villas—they’re amazing. Having a full kitchen, washer/dryer, 1.5 baths, and all the extras (refrigerator, oven, stove, microwave, blender) really elevates your stay and makes it feel like a home away from home. Highly recommend—can’t wait to go back!
- gigigO3309WO (2/5): Do not have an emergency here - We checked in here for three nights and I will say it is a beautiful hotel with a beautiful location. However, looking down at the beach, it is beyond dangerous here to swim. It is a public beach, but it is right in front of the hotel. I looked out at this beach, watching tourists walk down and tried to get to the water and told my fiancé that it was like watching a train down the hill with no brakes on. On our second day here a man went out to snorkel and did not come back to his wife on the beach. Two hotel guests and a surfer pulled the man from the water. I am a physician immediately responded watching this all play out from the pool. As a matter of fact, all the hotel guest watch this from the pool . Two doctors and two nurses immediately responded and we were continuing the CPR. Someone went back up to the hotel and ask for a backboard and AED apparently they were screaming for it at the pool, including in Spanish. He even went up to the hotel lobby asked the manager and then. went into the hotel gym, looking for it as well before coming back to the beach and telling us that the property had none of these things. EMS did not show up for over 20 minutes. This man passed away. I tried to speak to Ricardo the general manager about my concerns about the safety on the beach, as well as letting him know that several of his guests had responded to this emergency trying to save this man’s life. I also gave feedback about the AED and the back board not being available at the hotel. He stared blankly at me and said nothing. Not even I’m so sorry and thank you for helping it was a reminder that even though you were staying at a hotel that is part of the Hyatt corporation and I don’t believe that you should find safety in that. The fact that this hotel did not have any life-saving measures is a enormous concern. Furthermore, the reaction of the management is even greater concern as they did not value life, or the fact that several of their guests tried to save this man’s life.

For our three day stay, we received friendly and helpful service and felt welcome to explore and try the various options of the hotel. We would particularly thank the concierges, who are centrally located and eager to help. Michell Gonzalez had called me the week ahead, and all his advice and arrangements were excellent. For my first time in Mexico, this was a huge help and made the trip special.

- PNT225 (10/5): Top-Notch in Every Way: Unmatched Views, Beautiful Rooms & Superb Service (With One Astonishing Misstep) - The Cape is, in nearly every respect, a top-notch hotel. The views are nothing short of spectacular, the best in Cabo San Lucas, without question. The rooms are beautiful, the service refined and attentive, and the entire property carries itself with the confidence of a place that knows it is exceptional. The dining deserves special mention. Every single bite we had was outstanding. Meals at The Point Break were consistently excellent, and The Sunken Bar was perfection, atmospherically and gastronomically. There were no misses, no compromises, and no moments of regret. The Cape takes food seriously, and it shows. Which makes the experience at check-in all the more bewildering. Upon arrival, we were offered what was described as an “upgrade” to a residence. This was presented as a courtesy. It was not. A residence is not an upgrade for guests who deliberately choose a hotel of this caliber. We do not travel to Cabo to feel as though we have been quietly reassigned to a timeshare, no matter how well-appointed. This suggestion, made at the very start of the stay, created immediate irritation and disbelief. It is difficult to overstate how jarring it is to begin a luxury vacation by having to decline an offering in order to preserve the experience you intentionally booked. Frankly, the hotel should be ashamed of this practice. An upgrade should elevate without explanation; it should never feel like a downgrade disguised as generosity. To The Cape’s great credit, everything after that moment was superb. The service, the atmosphere, the views, the rooms, and the dining were all so exceptional that they ultimately redeemed the stay in full. The Cape remains a truly outstanding hotel and one we would happily return to. Just be warned: should a “residence” be offered at check-in, decline it promptly and without apology. Once past that misstep, the experience is as close to flawless as Cabo has to offer.
- Companion01698498320 (10/5): Amazing! - Absolutely wonderful stay at the Cape. We stayed in the Thompson suite Which went above our expectations. The balcony was amazing, the lounge, chairs, and tables very comfortable as well as the plunge pool was awesome. The room itself was very comfortable and absolutely beautiful. The bed was comfortable and we slept very well. Breakfast was really good every day. We ate at Manta and the food. The rooftop was very vibrant, fun and they made wonderful drinks. The entire staff was as pleasant and welcoming and hopeful as any that we’ve come across. Ensure, we will definitely be back and would highly highly recommend.

We had one server who helped us twice in which it kind of felt like he forgot about us after he gave us our food. - alexmphillips (10/5): Awesome location and very well staffed and appointed hotel - Great stay after Christmas. Amazing service and wonderful time despite property being completely full. We had to scramble a bit in the morning to get chaise by the pool, but the attendants onsite did a great job of keeping things civil and ensuring guests didn’t put down belongings then disappear for hours on end. The food onsite was excellent and it was super easy to get to amazing offsite options as well. The rooms are super comfortable with amazing views. Amex hotel collection perks are a great benefit. Definitely would come back if staying in the area again!
- phylo2019 (10/5): US Resort with Local Flavor - Beautiful property with an exclusive, private beach, great views, good service and delicious food. So long as you're looking to pay US resort prices, this hotel is a great option. We booked through Chase Travel's new The Edit hotels, which came with breakfast included for two. They upgraded us when we checked in so that all four of us could get breakfast for free every morning, which was nice of them. We ate/drank at all of the restaurants on property and only had good experiences.
- chiyea2020 (10/5): Heavenly experience guaranteed - Fantastic view, fantastic rooms with beautiful furniture and huge amount of space, fantastically courteous staff. Manta is a great restaurant - we ordered six appetizers and two main course and all were fantastic. One hears the ocean waves so clearly and can see whales early in the morning, before it gets busy with boats and water activities. The Arch is right in front of you, as you sit on the balcony or livingroom or bedroom.

- LesetteLatimer (10/5): Best Birthday - Always a great experience here for my birthday each year. The Cape never misses a beat with style and welcoming me. It’s my happy place and adds to the better side of Cabo in my opinion. When we arrived there was a special food tasting going on and it was fantastic! They updated their menu and I thought that was a clever idea to get the guests involved. On top of that it was Sunday and as an American they had all of the American football games going so I didn’t get to miss my ravens! It was like an extra special treat. I would like to give a special shoutout to Lenny who took care of me in the most special ways although he didn’t have to! He leads the pool area and didn’t have to go as beyond as he did. It was my birthday and he made it even more special especially after the year I had. What a cool guy. Extra shoutout to Hugo, who looked out for us when Lenny wasn’t available, as well as Jose & Fernanda. It’s always so nice to see them again, which I hope means the Cape is treating them right and compensating them fairly. Keep good workers when you can! It makes me want to come back again. Everyone is so friendly; it’s not an act. See you again next year!

The staff was consistently friendly, attentive, and eager to help, which made the experience feel warm and welcoming from start to finish. The biggest highlight of the property is the view — the sightlines to the Arch of Cabo San Lucas are absolutely stunning, both from the rooms and from several of the restaurants. It’s one of the best vantage points in Cabo and really sets the tone for a relaxing stay. Having Manta on property is also a major plus. It’s easily one of the best restaurants in the area and perfect for a romantic dinner. The tasting menu in particular was fantastic and lived up to the hype. That said, there were a few areas where the experience fell short, especially as a Hyatt member. There didn’t feel like much differentiation or recognition of status — no room upgrade, no expedited check-in, and no offer of a late checkout, which was disappointing given expectations for a property at this level. We were also surprised by how much the breakfast buffet at The Ledge is hyped up. The food itself was fairly mediocre, especially considering the ~$50 USD per person price point. Lastly, while the rooms are well designed and stylish, they’re starting to show their age. Our balcony door, in particular, was clearly in need of repair and felt like part of the room that hadn’t been refreshed in a while. All in all, The Cape offers beautiful views, great service, and an excellent dining option in Manta, but a bit more attention to room maintenance and Hyatt loyalty benefits would elevate the experience to a true five-star stay.

How did they appear?? Did someone get to my room?? Talked to the supervisor- they said they could offer no remedy and said he could tell my manager if I want to “ask” for anything. As a Globalist it’s unbelievable to hear you need to “ask” for remedy when such unsafe and unhygienic thing happened. I never heard from any supervisor or hotel management since then. No action taken. Do not come to this place. You do not want to feel unsafe, unhygienic, and disrespected at the same time.

He reminded me of a close friend back home in Salt Lake—one of those people you meet and instantly sense their sincerity. He was that genuine. Each morning, Cruz Lopez at the sunken bar welcomed me with a warm smile as I came down for coffee. A true gentleman, and exactly the kind of person who makes a resort feel special. I was fortunate to have one of the best-view rooms in Cabo on the west side of the building, overlooking the city and all the way to Land’s End. One entire wall of the room was floor-to-ceiling glass with a panoramic view. On the south side, a sliding glass door folded completely into the wall and opened to a huge private terrace with a bistro table, two large loungers, room for more seating, and our own plunge pool. It was truly spectacular.

I've recommended this hotel to any friends who are visiting Cabo and I'll definitely be returning. Highlights are the pool (including the attentive staff) and the breakfast (love their avocado toast), plus the rooftop bar. The music was blasting a bit too loud for our liking this time up there, but otherwise it was perfect.

The view of the famous arch from our balcony was so special. We were welcomed with a bottle of tequila in our room. Every attention to detail will definitely keep us coming back to this resort. The food was SOOO good, Fernanda at the concierge desk was kind and helpful. She helped us book a sailing excursion and even provided towels for us to use during the excursion. The drinks were quality and the sunset from the rooftop was unmatched! We liked watching the surfers in front of the hotel. The hotel is a short taxi ride away from the marina and downtown area where we grabbed dinner most nights. The staff went above and beyond during our stay. Treadmills, stair master, Peloton, free weights, and barbells—all the essentials to keep a routine going. ⭐ Staff Shout-Outs The staff is what really elevates this property. Angel — The Ledge: Outstanding. He took care of us during breakfast and noticed our curiosity about local dishes, bringing complimentary bites for us to try. The staff - from Angie at check-in to the wonderful women who attended our room (I didn't get her name) were phenomenal. They surprised us with special touches to celebrate our anniversary and we were able to experience Sunday brunch as well as cocktails at the rooftop bar. Food across the property (at the pool, the Sunken Bar, the Ledge, and the Rooftop) was great. It was easy and affordable to get Ubers into town when we wanted to explore outside the resort, but it was always hard to leave. We loved our stay and will be back - highly recommend!

We were travelling as a family of 3 with a small child. We are already planning to come back in 2026! I highly recommend this hotel. Hospitality: Warm thanks to the reservations team and everyone at the front desk: from the pre-check in, during our stay and to the check-out and a later follow up. I loved the texting option with the hotel team. They responded right away and were beyond helpful. Hotel: The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous, the views are just incredible from every floor you go to. I wanted to see the Arch and was surprised that we had unobstructed view from our balcony and pretty much every floor. Pool and Beach: There are two infinity pools, the views are amazing. We spent most days on lounge chairs sipping cocktails. You can enjoy the ocean view from the pool. Restaurants: Wanted to say that the service was very good at every restaurant and bar. We went to Manta for a special dinner and had a tasting menu. The food and wine were outstanding. In the mornings we enjoyed our coffee at the lobby floor bar, very good coffee and pastries. We also went to the rooftop, which had fantastic views and had a DJ. The Ledge - we loved our daily breakfast there (we purchased breakfast with our stay). Spa and gym: we went to the gym every day. Again...the views were stunning from the treadmill. They have high end gym equipment and everything was sparking clean there. My husband had a Wave massage (with deep tissue option) and he said that it was the best massage he ever had. Housekeeping team: special thanks to the housekeeping. They are the most hardworking people and they did such a great job (make sure you tip them well!). The room was always sparkling clean.
- SunsweptRambler (10/5): Breathtaking views. Welcoming staff. - Our first ever stay in Cabo was for my girlfriend's birthday, and it did not disappoint. We spent 4 nights in room 401, which I highly recommend: nice layout, comfortable, plunge pool on the balcony, and unbeatable unobstructed view of the famous rock formations and the sea. The staff could not have been nicer from the moment we arrived...and I mean EVERYONE. Even just random custodial staff we passed in the halls would welcome us with a friendly hello and a smile... and not in a forced, robotic way. I am a cynical New Yorker, and it really set the vibe for a great vacation. Unbeknownst to us...a hurricane was only hours away. This changed a lot of our plans and left us hotel-bound, but we had no complaints. The staff really worked hard to make the best of a tough situation. Dining choices were limited, and areas of the hotel closed briefly. We were asked to use the stairs instead of the elevators for a few hours (hardly a hardship, and good for our butts), but we never lost power. I heard some rooms experienced some flooding based on the direction they faced, but we had no problems at all, and it was honestly quite romantic. After about a day, the sun was back out and the hotel was back to normal. I was worried the dining choices would be limited, but they serve a unique menu in each spot, so we were never bored. Manta is delicious, and the tasting menu is well worth your time, and actually kind of a bargain for the quality and quantity. It deserves its Michelin star. The breakfast buffet at The Ledge was expansive and great, and I was pleasantly shocked it had a fleet of entirely new hot items everyday. Our meal at the Sunken Bar was very tasty. Drinks at the swim up bar and on the rooftop were creative. Nothing is cheap, but I didn't feel like we were being gouged. And again: every point of service from the pool staff to the rooftop bartenders shouting over the music for the engagement party we crashed were friendly and accommodating (and spoke flawless English, if you're worried). The spa is small, but quite nice, and we felt like we had the place practically all to ourselves. My girlfriend loved her treatment, and my oceanside massage was incredibly relaxing. As has been mentioned, the beach is more for looking at, and definitely not for lounging, but you can get a nice little walk in at low tide, and it was a trip watching surfers do their thing in the break, as we lounged in the infinity pool. An Uber into town always arrived within moments, took only 15 minutes, and cost about $12. Easy peasy (and every driver was nice). Some very minor critiques: the A/C smelled a bit like mildew, but that's just going to happen in the tropics. It was not unpleasant. Oddly, there was no off button for the jacuzzi jets in the plunge pool. We even asked the front desk, and they said it was just always on...so there is a constant low hum, but it's pretty drowned out by the roar of the sea, and that's a pretty great solution! As with several very nice Hyatts I have stayed in around the world, there's simply a raft of unmarked buttons that may turn on an outlet just beside it, or could dim a lamp across the room. It's truly a haphazard wiring system, but eventually you'll figure it out. Overall we had an absolutely magical, restful, wonderful time that exceeded our expectations on every level. They've made the most of a beautiful location, and it's the efforts of the staff that really put it over the top. Highly recommend.

We also thought this was an adults only hotel but there were kids everywhere - in the halls, the pool area, the rooms above ours - even in the gym. The kale salad was miniscule and boring. Sadly, I would not go back b/c we didn't sign on for DJ and kids.

You just can’t beat seeing the famous arch from the open air lobby and your balcony! I’m so happy we chose this hotel over a few others that had been recommended to us. We only had 3 nights here, but I wish our stay had been longer! We spent 2 days at the pool relaxing- that was our goal. Fernanda, Hugo and Luis took such great care of us- they really gave us the best service, were so kind and attentive, and they had the best recommendations for places to go and restaurants to try. I have celiac and Fernanda went above and beyond to call a restaurant for us to make sure they had options for me. She and Hugo had amazing recs for drinks and tequila! And Luis made sure we had the best last day at the pool! Everyone at the hotel was very kind- the front desk, the staff at the sunken bar who made us our iced lattes and the wait staff in The Ledge for our delicious breakfasts. The gym had ample equipment for our workouts. The beach is so pretty- the ocean isn’t really swimmable, but the huge waves crashing are such a great backdrop to the infinity pool. The sunsets from The Rooftop are spectacular! I really can’t say enough good things about this hotel. I will be recommending it to all of my family and friends who travel to Cabo and will be dreaming of this place until we can make it back.

The location is stunning—every room has an ocean view overlooking Cabo, and it honestly took our breath away each morning. The gym was a nice surprise, especially for anyone wanting to stay active on vacation (e.g. they had Woodway treadmills). Food-wise, Manta was a standout—easily one of the best meals of our trip. We also really enjoyed The Ledge and Point Break. Breakfast was included at The Ledge each morning, with a delicious buffet full of fresh pastries and flavorful Mexican-inspired options. But what really made the trip was the staff. Everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Special thanks to Lenny, Eduardo, Luis, and Fabian at the pool—they were so friendly and fun. Fernando at The Ledge was also amazing—super knowledgeable and warm, with great food and drink recs. Already dreaming of coming back.
